Like that anon said i think they basically determined it doesn't matter, since customization is going to have an emphasis here, why bother making the default look unique?
It's possible the school uniforms will be like the gym challenger uniforms from gen 8 where you'll be forced to wear it for portions of the game even if it will be somewhat customizable this time.
So far they haven't shown off any non-school uniform outfits, but hopefully some exist.
I hope you're not forced to stick to the fricking dumb school outfits. At the very least give more options in post-game or something.
