original maple story was amazing
it was grindy and pointless, but classes didnt feel stupid braindead press button kill whole screen slop and they were unique and cool and 3rd job was amazing and then 4th job was incredible
and the items and the marketplace it just let you really play mmo markets or be a rare loot farmer
it was the best worst game ever and probably my first exposure to evil, when someone convinced me in kerning to drop my equipment and then they stole all the items

i will never forget that butthole ninjagaidenz scamming me in the kerning city hospital

I remember killing those stumps in Perion while shooting the shit with other people who were grinding. Was a really cozy game.
>originator of microtransaction cancer
Remember Ellinia?
Remember training on the forest stumps and slimes with your fellow low level magebros?
Remember hearing all those stump grunts? *cack cack* *cack cack* "Grrrrgh"
You can never go back.
I wholly believe that if I never played this game my life would be far better
For me it's reverse. This game was *the* game me and my siblings, cousins and even some of our uncles played. During like long holidays where our families get together we us and our cousins would hang out and play Maplestory like grinding till 3AM. Good times. Nowadays I only logged in like once in 2-3 years, played a bit, then logged out. Welp, reminds me of the good ol' days of the past as kids/teens where you're just living without a care in the world. I still remembered reaching my first 1mil mesos pre-Big Bang. As kids with no real money having mesos does means a lot. Now as a working adult... nah they're worthless.
I remember the good ol days when my PC wasn't strong enough so this game would lag like crazy in heavily populated areas.
The only thing my pc didn't render as a blob of pixels was my character. Still thought the game looked great when I was a kid though. Honestly the shit graphics just made my imagination fill the mess.
Honestly, is this game worth getting into nowadays? Or should I just ignore it?
If you've never played before, doesn't hurt to try if you've got nothing better to do.
If you're an older player expecting the same sense of community and soulfulness, forget it.
Avoid it at all costs, its the worst shit imaginable
Everything before the Ludibrium update was 10/10
Ludi update was 7/10
Everything after Nexon bought the game was 6 at best.
This guy slaps your Maple Story GF in the ass, what do you do?
Defame.
Bring him to pig beach or road to sleepywood from Henesys.
drop him in the stone golem pit
>hi
>can you plz give me sum mesars?

Ask if he is from israel
I always used to F3 and give some cash to those silly noobs
Lith Harbor... Where the journey began...
I miss it so much
Im gonna sudoku bros... i cant take it anymore i need to go back bros
Yep good times, i always think back to these days. It's Saturday morning, you just woke up and logged into Maplestory. Got a bowl of cereal and start grinding some ludi pqs.
I could play this game for days on end without logging off or sleeping lol.
Remember all the pros who would show off their high level skills here?
Maplestory was the definition of braindead grindfest korean slop. One of the worst multiplayer games ever made as far as gameplay is concerned. You don't miss maplestory you miss 00s internet culture.
>You don't miss maplestory you miss 00s internet culture
It's not that I necessarily miss Maplestory or miss 00's culture, I can still play Maplestory, and I can find people who still act trapped in 00s culture bubble.
What I miss is being a care-free child with seemingly unlimited time on my hands and a whole lot of innocence.
Maplestory reminds me of idyllic days more than most things.
