Do you revisit 7th gen gaming? I ask because it kinda sucked balls in retrospect.

I don't think about it, because I'm not a zoomer who grew up with that shitty gen. Last console worth a shit was the PS2.
Xbox 360 was the second best console of all time, only just losing to the OG xbox on account of Halo 2.
Since I have an Xbox Series X and a PC that isn't a total potato...
Probably never I played my ps3 for a decade and had my fun
It was the last good console gen. Way better than the 8th gen.
It was the last relatively good gen.
This console gen was so fricking bad it gave birth to the PC masterrace wave.
I play on it from time to time. Wii still holds up when modded. PS3 not so much since it's losing exclusives. 360, can't say, but the stuff before the Kinect crap went up holds well enough. Better on Xbone X or XSeX though.
Pretty much everything worthwhile from that gen has been remastered or ported to the newer consoles so it's really is just a matter of convenience now to ever replay though games. PS3 still have genuine exclusives that you'll have to plug the old thing back in to play.
The last good generation. Leftists will disagree.
I still use my Wii and PS3 all the time
never owned a 360 and don't think I'll start collecting
This was the first generation that was a decline over the previous generation. The HD twins were forgettable. Wii, DS, and PSP were basically the last vestiges of what gaming was during the 2000's (Wii and PSP in particular also helped extend the PS2's life).
However, when it comes to the PS360 it was the beginning of gaming blurring together and the AAA model. So many small companies died out during this generation, and this generation was when Japanese games aside from Nintendo became niche.
If anything people are now just figuring out how great it was.
Bayonetta is selling more copies than ever. How many people bought Nier? How many people bought Nier Replicant? GTA V still going strong, Skyrim still going strong.
I have hundreds of games I love from this era.
Not to mention Mass Effect getting popular again from the LE. It really was a fun gen and there really was a level of excitement in being able to own more than 1 of them for the games you missed.
>revisit
I havent bought any gaming hardware after my 360 and ps3. they're all I play
Only a few titles and always on PC. Every console made after the Dreamcast was a mistake.
It may have sucked balls, but it least it was our balls.
The 360 was the last great non-nintendo console I've owned...and I own every major console. Haven't turned on my PS5 in a year and only played my Xbox series x for elden ring and haven't touched it since March. Barely even used my ps4 or xbone. I need to stop buying consoles or sell them or something
There was a big drop off for this generation after 2007. Really for gaming as a whole.
A homebrewed Wii is one of the best consoles of all time
PS3 gen is the last console generation as far as I'm concerned, I'm not going to pretend Bloodborne alone counts as a generation let alone two of them.
