25 too 30 somethings have been the most economically viable group for vidya to target since 2005, now it's that and under 18 since publishers have figured out how to abuse microtransactions and mobile "gaming" to get kiddies to spend their parents money
Turning 41 shortly and been gaming harder than ever these past few years (80~90+ games beat a year) so yes, yes I do see myself gaming until I'm no longer able to.

You can still play vidya and do other things in your youth, even if you play several hours a day you still have the rest of the time to do other stuff.
It only really becomes a problem when vidya is the ONLY thing you do, and it's what your entire personality revolves around
My mom is 51 and is still playing games. I imagine I would in some capacity when I'm older, but even at 30 I still can't do all day sessions like I used to. I find myself playing older games like Dino Crisis 2 because I know I can beat it in under 4 hours.
With every passing year I see that future slipping away more and more. Hell even now I've basically stopped buying new games for years already. I'm just not interested in games as a service, casino simulators and games as a medium to forcefully push woke ideology.
I mean im 35 or something and Ive gotten gm in a game twice solo queuing on different accounts.
I also played Paladins a few seasons back and won 20 games in a row and played against the #1 on the leaderboard and beat him 2/3 times.
Im even on hormones and my T is in the nano levels last time I checked and my levels in general are horrendous.
I might not be as good as my world class 12 year old self in reaction time but my game sense is amazing and I still beat 95% of "gamers" even with chemical de-enhancement chains that all these beta males say is: "DEBILITATING!
