I spent enough time on the F95 forums to realize that developers (at least developers of the popular ones) treat these games/VNs as their retirement plans, so they drag shit out for as long as humanly possible, and there is always a small army of sycophants out there who run defense, shouting down anyone who points out the blatant Patreon milking that’s going on.
I followed a VN called “A Wife and Mother” for a while, because I found a few of the plot threads interesting, and a few of the chicks in it gave me a hard PP, but I dropped it out of frustration, because the developer has so many branching plot threads going, and he only does one or two small updates a year, so it’s literally impossible that it’s ever going to get any sort of meaningful progress.
