for smash bros? absolutely, the games have been absolute shit to play since brawl. They can start by bringing back conserved jump momentum in a fricking PLATFORM fighter, then increase hitstun so characters can actually combo instead of doing 2-3 hit strings. Improve the item balance as well, half the items in 4/ultimate are unfun and lower the explosion rates on boxes/pills which were upped after brawl.
it was sakurai's pitch to do the everyone is here thing, the last thing smash needed was more new content. Smash needed to do a rehaul of its mechanics after the last decade was poisoned by brawl's awful physics basis used for 4/ultimate. It also needed a good infrastructure for online.
The Melee players don't want peace or to find a middle ground, they want Melee HD and anything except that will earn their eternal hate. Sakurai was correct to ignore that unpleaseable pack of showerphobes.
if the newer games had the SOUL that Melee has along with good movement that isn't forcibly gimped by developers that don't want a giant skill gap between 5 year olds and professional tryhards, the schism probably wouldn't even exist. Sakurai put in tripping to spite tryhards, he's the reason Meleegays exist the way they do.
pre-4.0 Ivysaur was pretty balanced, it's just Charizard fans were very angry that their fav was useless and kept crying for Sakurai to buff Charizard and nerf Ivysaur
Charizard was always the strongest of the three. The only thing Ivysaur had going for it was the absurd range on dair and Razor Leaf being a stupid projectile.
>The only thing Ivysaur had going for it was the absurd range on dair and Razor Leaf being a stupid projectile.
And dthrow up b being a guaranteed kill combo at 70 which got nerfed. Charizard isn't the strongest though, it just feels like it because he comes out at a time where anything he throws out will be a kill. If they got separated then I think it would be Ivysaur > Charizard > Squirtle, with Squirtle only being the weakest because he can't really kill well
Definitely not. Devs shouldn't always listen to fans but they shouldn't ignore them entirely either. Ignoring fans is how you end up with the absolute shit show that is the current Ultimate meta where everyone hates the game but listening to everything they say is how you end up with Multiversus' weekly patches that are constantly buffing and nerfing shit just because whiners don't want to learn how to deal with things. It's a thin line to navigate.
I think each individual pokemon is fine but I think pokemon trainer is a bad idea because he's way too diverse to fully balance without making him too strong or dogshit.
If you need to rack up damage squirtle, if you need to have insane moves that kill like crazy after all that, ivysaur and you can even stay ivysaur to stay at a range and rack up more percent while you're at higher percent, then just charizard for your 100 percents where they have to really get a good hit in to even kill you.,
Brawl tried to balance him out by having the stamina stat which was actually a good idea to keep his diversity leveled with the rest of the roster by making it so his best options need to be switched out depending on how many moves they've thrown out and how long they've been out.
Personally I hate PTs because you're either playing against a shit PT and it's a completely different kind of low tier that flounders around and doesn't do anything or you're playing against a really good ivy pt or a really good squirtle PT which act completely differently and are completely different matchups because of how they play
There is a difference between listening and agreeing. Game devs should always be listening to their fans, but they shouldn't be changing the game to the fans' whims.
This is a perfect example as to how developers should listen to fans (who are capable of development themselves) because easily the most fun version of Smash Ivysaur was in Project M.
I miss the stun spore and Solar Beam
bullying siblings with it was peak Smash
I'm not even a compgay they just made her so much more fun to play. Wario too, but his Ultimate incarnation is also fun in a different way/ They shoulda just made Wario(Land) and Wario(Ware) clones.
I don't even play much Smash, but isn't that the problem in general - how so many characters just kind of play the same? I'd rather have a smaller roster of unique characters, than 500 anime sword boys
Ultimate's problem is that while the roster is impressively diverse mechanically (similar to an anime fighter tons of of characters have unique systems and attributes), the universal mechanics that are good dominate the meta/viability and give all the characters similar gameplans. Unless you gimmick is busted enough to break the rules to an extreme degree like Minecraft Steve. So casually the roster feels super unique across the board, but the longer you play the more everything starts to merge together even if it's not just Fox dittos or whatever.
Developers should almost NEVER listen to casual fans. Highly skilled fans (extreme outliers) can be given a very small amount of consideration, but should not be relied upon for any critical decisions.
nope. Some people aren't actually fans, they just hate anything japanese or anything with fanservice. Then they pretend to be loud fans on twitter when in reality, those people would never buy their shit regardless of censorship or not.
>Open source the game or even just don't throw an autism fit over mods >Problem magically goes away because there's no need to "just wait tm" for the dev to fix shit and factor in the opinions of utter morons

too bad Sakurai doesn't care anymore and just wanted to shove DLC characters because Nintend𐐬 is forcing him

Bathe.
dilate
They hated stinky Jesus because he told them the truth
Literally this. Ultimate never sealed the rift between the two playerbases.

Case in point.
oh you're moronic, my bad for being honest
always is a word dumb people use
>not using vine as rope
Frick sakurai
As a rule, man is a fool.
When it's hot, he wants it cool.
When it's cool, he wants it hot.
Always wanting what is not.
Yet when it is 70 degrees I want for nothing
This homie, dare I say, is bluffing

Charizard was shit in Smash 4 and early versions of Ultimate outside revenge kills
Charizard's buffs were never that significant. The only thing that changed was how people were playing Charizard.

Why is everyone so sure that smash Ivysaur is a girl?
Smashtrannies hear the extremely masculine sounding voice and want the representation
>extremely masculine sounding voice
not canon. the Japanese voice is e-girl
?si=RpwuBUn8sMGpSiQ8&t=51
The Japanese voice for goku is a girl, but everyone agrees that it’s awful
DB's Japanese voice acting has been always awful it became a meme that Japan doesn't want to change
>every voice is high pitched except for english
fricking hell, why do we always get fricked over so badly? Her jap voice is really cute.
>Her jap voice is really cute
so cute it makes me hard
there's an egg inside the flower bud you can see in free-camera mode.
>egg
That's obviously the stigma, the top part of the pistil. It's what you need to pollinate to fertilize a female flower
stigma nuts in yo mouth, b***h

Brawl/Project M rollback when
I've been hearing "it's almost done" for two years

They should listen to what they say, but then also see what they do/how they play their game.
She will be deleted in next Smash to please the comp tards
