Release butchered story, patch 1 needed like several hotfixes and patches to work properly. Patch 4 introduced features that didn't work until patch 5, patch melts faces.
I was smart enough to not update and play with the release version, but I did miss some content bc if broken flags.
NTA bur all your gripes with patches were fixed in a day or so. It sounds like your issue is resisting the temptation to immediately play the game after every update.

Never played any patch, saw it online. Yeah, there where hotfixes within one or few days, but they often broke something else, which again was repaired fast, but then flags broke.
Don't get me wrong, bg3 is absolutely massive, but IMHO for the wrong reasons. This game can easily be beaten in 20h without skipping much.
Wait for ee and it should include the dlc. I'll likely play again when dlc comes out, but only bc there's no rpg whatsoever in the horizon. Just looked the releases up for 2024, grim.

theres far far far far stronger monsters and you can always just start throwing in named lore charaters which are stated to be impossible. the problem with dnd is that nobody really wants a wipe to happen because than the game is over in an anticlimatic way so reallife dms use these stronger monsters but have them target charaters with spells that won't kill or barely use legendary actions. and games don't use them because nobody uses them in tabletop, there not part of the usual things you first think of when you think dnd(mostly because dnd campaigns end at like level 7 usually lol, nobody actually plays high level shit, campaigns die far before that)
Fire Emblem I think solved it. Throw in permadeath, changes the whole equation and keeps each fight interesting.

Not only are they random, but you can get stats that are actually just straight up worse. Like getting 1 attachment slot instead of something like 4. The entire game is like that. And the armor doesn't even have a unique model. It looked exactly the same on my character as the armor It had before it
Spider Desert is when it started to go downhill for me. At the orc invaded village and just finding the game very repetitive and boring. Loved the first half though.
