Do you think "Legends" is going to become a series, or do you think it was just a one-off to experiment with gameplay and mechanics that could be used in future duo versions?

I'm not anticipating more but I wouldn't be surprised either. I liked a lot of elements of PLA, but god I hate forced action sequences in RPGs.

I think they’ll make a Kanto+Johto version of it then stop. None of the other regions fit the format that well.

      Legends Rayquaza might be feasible.

kalos would be good if we got to hang out during or shortly before/after the nuke went off. really i just think AZ is a wasted idea as he is and i wanna know more about the guy.

I liked PLA but it was still experimental
A sequel could bring the format to its peak so I hope they continue with it

I think it was an experiment that they don't want to confine themselves to, because if they don't experiment then they wouldn't have come up with Legends in the first place. So while future Legends games are possible, I think the takeaway is that we'll get more unconventional Pokemon experiences. So like for instance, a Paradox realm or alt universe or future Unova would be something I'd expect for the Unova revisit instead of necessarily a Legends: Kyurem/Original Dragon.

That experiment was probably the most well received Pokémon game of the past 15 years. They sure as hell should make a new one

I think it has pretty decent potential to be a sort of supplement/replacement for the conventional regions. A lot of the regions have good potential for it because of aspects of their lore not well explored. Kanto/Johto, Hoenn, Unova and Kalos in particular all seem like great candidates but they'd need to change things a lot to make it work with Alola, Galar or Paldea.

In regards to Galar, Victorian Pokemon seems pretty up there for a good atmosphere and aesthetics.

I hope it wasn't an experiment, but I have no idea why so many are predicting Johto games.
We're overdue for Gen V remakes, I mean, they came out 14 years ago.

Because we're overdue for a new game set in Johto, which hasn't happened for 14 years. The last Unova game was in 2012, so it hasn't had a game in 12 years

Remake dates don't count, only original release dates do so far.

We'll see in 54 days. But I do think they'll do a follow up at some point given how it is probably the most positively received Pokémon games of the past 15 years and Nintendo would encourage them to make a follow up since it's better for their console.

I think it's more likely that Gen 10 will take some of the mechanics that people liked about PLA and incorporate them into the main games. SV came out too soon after PLA for it to have influenced it to any major degree, so we'll see what happens from here.

    >legends unova
I can see a wild west theme working well to match the theme of player vs the elements and exploration. Trains would be new in the world and you know how much japan loves trains.
    >legends kalos
The star raids feel like a very rough idea of war time battles/base raids that fit well for the kalos civil war.

      >legends unova

That won't be the title. People want to see a Black 3 & White 3, but numbers that big might scare off newcomers.

We're getting Black Zero & White Zero.

I thought Fire Emblem: Echoes was going to be a subseries and that never panned out so I'm biting my tongue on Pokémon: Legends. I want it to be its own series, though.

I think especially as we are getting to remakes where not much as changed since the original, Legends seems like the new way to handle revisiting a previous region, and frankly I like having a completely new game more than just the old game again with some changes that piss people off.

A one off, but to give Sinnoh's myths and legends proper focus, as well as giving Arceus a fitting encounter for players, especially those who expected the Azure Flute distribution.

I am way too lazy so scout the old source but I am 99.99% sure devs said more Pokemon Legends was planned. Could just be 1 more, but still. Don't care what it is I'd prob buy it because I really enjoyed PLA.

If that were the case, people would be continuously posting about it. Odds are you're mixing it up with LGPE, where Masuda said "if it performs well enough, there may be more".

The fact it's called "Legends" and not "Legend" implies there will be more legends to follow, it was also well received by fans, it sold really well for a Jan release (often the worst time to release a game) pretty sure it broke some record, it's clear they are sticking with it due to Perrin appearing, the Hisuian Pokemon being in the BB dex etc.

It is also a good way of revisiting an older region without it being a straight up remake, it's also a good way to tell the story of the region.

Will we see future games and regional revisits that carry stuff from PLA and SV like a more open environment, or expanding on the story, yes. But I don't know why the fanbase is convinced that every single regional revisit or game that isn't a new gen is just going to be "legends" that's set in the ancient past every time. I don't think it'll be it's own sub series, I think future revisits to places like Unova or Johto will just have their own unique title, or could be set in present time as a sequel, or quite a bit into the future, instead of exclusively being the past like the fanbase thinks it is.
