>a remaster similar to the classic Tomb Raider
I'd like that. Voices, music, story and gameplay stay. Graphics and controls are more modern.
I don't even care about visuals that much, the game looks pretty good anyway on emu (especially the DC version), but controlling camera with the right stick would be great.
Aside from "because it's cool to hate rereleases on Ganker", why?
Yes, but no a reboot, they would turn it into a nugow copy paste job, i can already see all the menus divided in tabs, skill trees, compass for objectives and sidequests, just make a remake/remaster like the tr
If it had the same gameplay as nu-GoW it would unironically be a massive upgrade from the original which was just circle strafe button mashing combat with 20 million block puzzles. A reboot would actually be a great thing even if the UI was soulless (lol). The story and graphics were the main draw of the original game.
>The story and graphics were the main draw of the original game.
for me it was the world. it's an excellent metroidvania with great exploration and unrivalled atmosphere. there aren't even that many cutscenes in SR1, and not a whole lot of plot development even happens. compared to SR2, which is twist upon twist, all that really happens in SR1 is that raziel gains the reaver, discovers he used to be a sarafan, and chases kain into a portal. killing his brothers is pretty much just window-dressing as an excuse to explore cool locations and flesh out the setting.
Id like to see the full actual finished version of the game get a release, i know it would frick with the established lore now but who the frick cares.
While it might have been interesting to keep Kain as the defacto villain of the series, it makes sense that his interactions with Vorador coupled with a few milleniae under his belt would allow him to see beyond the madness of the circle. I think that truly immortal beings, unless naturally inclined, eventually shift towards a true neutral moral compass.
I don't disagree, it's just a funny and interesting text
With how incredibly hackish and stupid is the current trend of "subverting your expectations" SR2 stands apart with how well it slowly lets you (and Raziel) unravel the initial facade that presents itself in Nosgoth. Kain's choice is reframed as a rigged game, his actions as cruel parts of a moving plan; your godly benefactor as a loathsome parasite
And speaking of said parasite that proclaimed the himself a God, I wondered if Hennig figured Blood Omen's Lost City into the overall history and mythology of the series
The Elder God's lair features clear buildings with serpentine and weird ruins, as of he had pulled down the city from the surface
they had a public survey a couple years back asking which direction the series should go in, i think 'remake' was an option on it. if enough people feel the same, you may get your wish
God I hope not
This
DO NOT TEST MY PATIENCE, ANONYMOUS. I MADE THIS GAME, AND I WILL REMAKE IT IF I BECOME SO INCLINED.
Or maybe you're just greedy. Could it be as simple as that?
As your customer, I am beyond compulsive purchases
Why? What's so bad about the TR remaster when all the modernized stuff is optional?

Hopefully not
Don't need the mentally ill feeling like it's getting attention
god bless ai
Brilliant
Amazing.
I bet some devs who really liked the game are a part of this.
I had nearly 200 hours in Nosgoth. Fun game, even if obviously a travesty.
Kek.
I liked the designs
I think they were made by Cabuco, so they're pretty great
Didn't they take it down from stores a while back?
It's probably getting a full blown remake.
SOUL reaver
Isn't the publisher that owns the rights to this currently on fire?
I wish since it's Squeenix, not Embracer.
No dude it's Embracer and I'm sure they cancelled whatever they were working on.

It wasn't an action game, it was a gothic adventure-puzzle game.
Piss of homosexual
>story and graphics
try atmosphere and voice acting

Literally anything would be a ten times upgrade in terms of gameplay
Hopefully no, let it stay dead

Hennig has said that the adversity of the development made the story better than her original version, so meh.
still would be fun to play through the original version of the game, something about lost content that fascinates me.
>something about lost content that fascinates me.
You're a LoK fan, the entire franchise is lost content
Hmmm

After Tomb 4-6
keep the frick away from it crystal dynamics
Nosgoth actually has a relatively thriving community. That's kind of amazing.
Not after kain refused the sacrifice, no.
Maybe, that must be why they took it down
