This is a problem with Yellow, Flowey existing locks the game at an unreasonably short timeframe between Clover and Frisk.

In Undertale one of the main details is that monsters don't even know what humans look like anymore because of how long its been since the last, thats why despite them only needing one more soul there's plenty of docile monster npcs. In general all of yellows cast would be long passed before the events of Undertale, since non-boss monsters still age

I don't think the mask actually does anything special beyond reminding Ceroba of her daughter. She was cornered, desperate, and had what she thought was the key to saving Kanako slipping out of her grasp. seriously man, this is fricking amazing. my only very minor criticism is that the build-up to the true lab could have been a bit more tense, seems like they sorta just agree to go there, but even then you still put the pressure on pretty well with the argument with starlo and the threat of clover sacrificing himself.
you took this in a direction i was expecting and hoping for, with kanako being badly corrupted physically/mentally and clover healing her, but the illustration of what that looks like was very enthralling. and it was amazing how you tied it into a greater theme of improvement for ceroba with that dream: the realization that good legacies are not about well-intentioned causes or means to an end, but about actively doing good things and bringing good change into the world, about enacting the will of love and not hate. and you even tied THAT into clover's soul, and how the "justice" ending really is no different in mindset than what ceroba tried to do. absolutely genius, they should have had you on the team.
i'm a half-decent artist and flash animator, admittedly something like this is probably way too big in scope for a fanfic of a fangame, but i'd love to know if i could help with some sort of game/mod or animation regarding this. i almost feel compelled because of how perfectly this fixes the game.

honestly, yeah. The ideas are good but it's just too much for a single chapter.
You change the a lot of narrative of the story and resolve basically the entire conflict at at once.
But I like I said, good ideas. I really want to see what flowey is doing and his "FILE LOADED" moments were pretty funny.
Also word of advice, try to avoid preexisting characters, i dont mean that you should erase them but I'd say one the biggest reason Undertale Yellow did so well is because of the actually original content.

The best part of the Genocide/Weird routes is how they let you see the cast rise to meet the threat that you’ve become, and Starlo goes out like a chump just so the game can get back to jerking off over Ceroba.

Honestly going in blind I expected Floweys more hands on approach would have ended with him sort of hijacking the final fight against Asgore by literally riding you, guiding your hand, forcing you to attack. The pacifist or pacifist/neutral fight would have been trying to buck him off and ultimately sacrificing yourself to stop it with Flowey going all psycho and using you as a proxy to take out his dad.

How the frick do Boss Monsters outside of the Goat Family even exist?
I dont think this was ever explained in Undertale proper but even in Yellow the "Boss Monster Gene" is such a fricking throwaway line to explain such a core aspect of Chujins plans
Boss monster as a classification both barely exist and is a continuity error.
There's basically no lore on them regardless, so it's very much a "why not" kind of thing
there must have been other ones or there wouldn't be any at all
toriel and asgore had only one kid, which means that once they die, asriel would be the last boss monster, there must have been more to keep a steady population unless they had multiple kids but having more kids means they also age faster, the whole concept of boss monsters is weird and toby probably didn't think much about it
Personally I like the idea of boss monsters and human wizards being the sort of inbetween, and it explains the gap in ability.

Asgore is the only real choice for that, as he's the one that wants to kill you, providing plenty of justification, and he's also right there next to the barrier giving you the best chances of success since you can't really be sure how long you'd have or how slippery the soul would be
I realize there's a ton of narrative reason/significance for it too, yeah. I'm just pointing out that "boss monster" as a concept is pretty shoehorned in there to truly force the conflict with no alternative, combined with the idea of the barrier being some sort of weird toll gate requiring both kinds of souls (why isn't 1 human soul enough? why is it so arbitrary?).

The entrance to the underground is on top of a mountain that has a reputation of "Those who climb do not return" and is treacherous to climb, its not really just a forest, not to mention the fact its a giant fricking pit and most kids are smart enough not to just jump down
