Sonic 06 at least had a good soundtrack, I stopped playing Redfall after 20 minutes of laughing at the terrible textures and I’ll never touch Gollum.
Sonic 06 is shit but it's not even one of the worst games on any of the systems that had it. It was a thoroughly mediocre 3-4/10 with a good soundtrack.
People's standards for vidya have been through way the frick out of whack in recent years. I don't think the vast majority of people on this board have played truly, genuinely dogshit games.
Bro frick off, it's a literal 1/10 game. It's irredeemable. The only fricking things you can see in it are a result of you giving it ultimate charitably, because you want to differ from the original mainstream opinion.
The difference between a true piece of shit like ET and just a pretty bad game like Sonic 06 is 06 has glitches that are actually fun to do like infinite hover or taking a box to the sky. While you can get glitches that softlock you, they're rare and you usually have to try.
ET you have to guess where to go to use your powers, or guess which pits the parts are in then when you get out of a pit you got back into one and I swear to frick if I see another government agent

Alright, that is true. They're still both terrible games, but Sonic 06 at least allows some flexibility in its mechanics, allowing you to break it. I can agree with you there.
I still disagree that it's the worst game on its system. It's still pretty fricking bad, excluding 360 indie games.

Nah. Its primary issues are technical in nature— dogshit load times, incredibly buggy physics, a general lack of polish. The level design is bland but not anything near irredeemable. The story is moronic but that's standard for a lot of games. The game doesn't have crashing problems, can be beaten without some manner of cheating, and isn't actively painful to play in some manner. It's a 3-4/10. Not good by any means, but you can certainly get enjoyment out of it for all of its blatant and obvious problems, keeping it from being anything close to "irredeemable."
You want a truly dogshit game, try playing something like Rise of the Robots or The Master's Fury on PS1.
E.T. is definitely a dogshit game, but how comfy would it be to get an Atari for Christmas, you gotta have games on it.

Bubsy 3D isn't that bad and I say this completely unironically. It's just Jumping Flash with slightly worse level design.
Sonic 06 isn't the worst game on those consoles nah, not when shit like Ride to Hell Retribution exists. It's not even the worst Sonic game, that's Sonic the Jam (Game.com) or Sonic 4 Episode 1.
ET at least had an idea that it wanted to do and while I haven't played enough Atari games to say it's not the worst game there I can say it's not my personal worst game of all time.

The thing is, Sonic 06 is really flawed in execution, not design. Project 06 shows how fun it can actually be with just one guy passing over it again and polishing it.
