I feel like if Kalos was done correctly it could be one of the best pokemon games. The remake could be a redemtion like how ORAS was a redemption for RS (but not emerald).
The thing about XY is that XY do not deserve redemption.
No, we don't need another damn Legends game. As much as I enjoyed playing in the past of Sinnoh, not every gen needs a deeper focus in their history. It's that mentality that caused the stupid endless rehashing of remakes we get now. For frick sakes don't encourage gamefreak to turn what is a fresh idea into yet another recycled pile shit to serve out yearly instead of trying something unique again like Legends originally achieved.

Because Platinum's a rehash anon and normalgays don't typically buy rehashes in numbers to be a majority vote in wide-ranging polls such as that one.The only other rehash to make the list was one that tried to not be a carbon-copy of rehashes previously. Platinum made it for being am improvement to base Sinnoh, unlike the rest that failed to make the cut.

The only glaring issues it has are its difficulty, which will probably be fixed because it was complained about even by casuals. The other "glaring issues" are actually non-issues half caused because it never got a re-release like other games, and they went to Hoenn, which was it but better, and the other half people lying about its flaws to make their generations look better.
Theres alot wrong with XY. Under developed story (no plot for zygarde, AZ floetta unreleased, etc.), under developed areas (power plant, no ghost area, "cerulean cave" room), no rhyhorn racing, and alot more.
I love it when people complain about the power plant because it instantly reveals that they’re morons who completely didn’t pay attention to the game

It’s a facility that has actual workers in it that’s used to power Lumiose City. It’s not an abandoned power plant like the ones in Kanto and Hoenn. It’s the equivalent of claiming that BW is unfinished because the other three Cold Storage warehouses aren’t enterable and don’t have Pokemon. You are an unironic moron.
Atleast the cold storage area has a type appropriate encouter in the area. Regardless of your flimsy reasoning, it is under developed area that could easily be expanded upon like many other areas in XY.

If we get an XY remake it will be the same game but you wont be able to enter any of the buildings in Lumiose (restaurants will be removed), there will be no super training or amie, and Kiloude City as a whole will also not exist.

they don't fix problems in remakes, otherwise BDSP wouldn't be so shit

There are many strange changes post XY, like auto-affection, no exp-toggle, breakable TMs, or removing Set Mode, Battle Towers and 3v3 modes. I think it best to do Pokémon Z, primarily to improve the single player story and difficulty like Platinum or Emerd. But keep the existing game mechanics and style.
If they want to do something more ambitious, maybe have Pokémon Legends AZ/Zygarde to explore the history of Kalos from an older time period.

Gen 6+ they'll probably just go the ultra lazy route and just start doing remasters instead of remakes since everything is already 3D.
I don't think they're going to make improved remakes ever again, considering Pokemon company had to outsource DP and it sold okay considering it was just an uglier version of the old game with the only bonus of having connectivity with Pokemon Home.
