Imagine if creators in any other medium said shit like this
Imagine if a filmmaker said "if your mother walks in while you're watching my movie, she'll think you're reading a book".
>invents aaa slop of 'play for two hours but watch for 3x times that amount' >lies to the public about playing as Snake >lies to the public about being threated with his life taken from him
It seems Kojima is, once again, lying to the public
Will his slop fanbois suck his shrunken wiener again?
This would've hyped me up if I were 12 years old in 2004 but it's 2024 and I'm a bitter old man so it just makes me think it's even more cinematic snoy slop.
This. No one gives a shit about cinematic goyslop anymore. There are games that look better than RL and pull a more cinematic environment than hollywood at this point. Graphics are not impressive anymore.
Yes and no. I actually like point and click type stuff where gameplay is minimal but everything around it is engaging, like Wolf Among Us. But this shitty fricking trend in AAA games where you press forward to walk while characters blather in what is essentially a cutscene you can't skip is intolerable.
The japanese have this weird idea that it's fun to "play" a movie sequence. Same moronic shit that ff16 did. Gameplay is a snooze fest with big qte set pieces that isn't impactful because it's not the player doing it. It's antithetical to player immersion but it's the only way they can force the exact sequence they think would make for a "cool" fight. They are lost in the high graphical sauce, forgetting they should make PLAYER experiences not fap over what they themselves imagined in their stupor.
It's hilarious how old FMV games like Dragon's Lair and Night Trap have more gameplay to them then some of the stuff coming out today trying to be interactive movies.

15 years here and this is top 3 dumbest things I have ever read
Someone needs to shoot these sony gays and get it over with. this inferiority complex with Hollywood is fricking embarrassing.
I don’t get it.. does he not have enough “clout” or money to simply just make his own movies rather than make video games pretending to be movies?
Games cost way more than movies to make, and movie games are better than movies.
look how many threads yakuza shit gets and you tell me
>ur mum jokes
Haha very funny mr. Kojimbo.
Sounds like one of those dumb porn ads from 15 years ago
I don't get why people suck off Kojima so hard. Wasn't MGS more than a one person operation?
Japanese devs have a tendency to give sole-credit to the leading dev which is funny considering how they're generally collectivist.

>mom walks in
>are you winning... Oh, I mean, Watcha watchin', son?
Bros....
Thanks dawg
thanks big beagle
had this heckin chonker saved on my pc for years, Gankertrannies sneeding and dilating
that was my first thought when I saw the OP
My mom beat armored core 6 before I could and she's almost 70. Being a retiree must be nice.
That's funny because when MGS for PS1 was new, everyone that saw me play it remarked in awe how it's just like a movie
I don’t pay $20 for a movie so I sure ain’t paying $70.

Are you shitposting from your school laptop?
My phone, I'm on vacation b***h I gotta get my shitpost fix somehow
Pretty sure if she thought I was watching a movie by him it would be fricking moronic and look at me bewildered as to why I have such shit taste.
>are you winning son?
>she'll think you're watching a movie
Nothing new, my dad saw me play the tail end of MGS4 when it came out and asked if that was a movie too

My mum thought Crash Bandicoot 2 on PS1 was like a movie
Frick off Kojima
