        I workout irrespective of my gaming time.
        Day 1:
        >5x5 bench press
        >3x5 close grip bench press with lower weight
        >5x5 overhead press
        >3x5 deadlift
        >3x5 pullup
        >3x5 bicep curl
        >3x5 lateral raise
        Day 2:
        >Cardio (1.5 or 3 mile run, depending on my energy levels)
        >5x5 squats
        Day 3:
        rest day, then repeat

        None of these are gamer workouts. It's already been scientifically proven that muscle gains only take place because of mental stimulus.         People don't lift so that they can beat people up, they lift so they can live a better life with the strength that they obtain. A guy that does a lot of exercise will have be faster than you anyways, so if it really came down to it, if he had a CCW, your brains would be splattered first.

    Sometimes matchmaking can take a minute. That's enough time to do some squats, lift some weights, or even do some jumping jacks.

    If you spend 3 hours playing a game with 20 minute matches that's at least 9 minutes of exercise you can get in a day. If the matches are only 10 minutes you can double that time frame. It doesn't take much to burn calories you just have to not be a lazy blob.

      You aren't going to be burning shit with 9 minutes of exercise in a day. If you really wanted to, you'd sprint around the block in bursts throughout the day to maintain an elevated heart rate. 2 minute bursts could easily add up to 10 minutes. That'd have a better overall effect at maintaining a higher basal metabolic rate, which is the only thing that actually matters in terms of shaving off pounds.
      Well, that and eating less.

      You only need to work out 20 minutes every other day, or an hour a week.
      You can also get by with just 30 minutes a week if you're really short on time.
      Imaginary exercises are used for preventing muscle atrophy in restricted patients, and they're capable of not only toning muscle, but even growing strength overall.
      I bring this up only because most of gaining muscle has little to do with actually lifting weights. Understanding what causes muscles to grow is especially important today, considering how many people still think, say, that microtears actually build muscle.

        I dunno I just read "Effects of Mental Imagery on Muscular Strength in Healthy and Patient Participants: A Systematic Review" and the TLDR was that external imagery doesn't do shit, internal can give and > 100% effect on performance, but actually lifting still beats both for the effect it has on the brain and they're just used to supplement lifting.

        be strong but die at 30-40: lift your 1 rep max, weight a while, do it again
        be functionally strong: above but 10 rep max
        aiming for stamina: above but 20 rep max (dont do this its stupid lol, just lift 10 rep and stop being a pansy)
        want to be high iq: just imagine lifting your 1 rep max 10 times while in the shower, this is totally better than lifting: source; trust me

    I picked this up on a whim and do like 20 minutes every 3 days
    I've logged in for 200 days and it gets more and more boring every time but at least I'm moving around every once in awhile
