ye. i hate troubleshooting old games and gog's generally work without hassle. i think thats worth the pocket change they charge for them

  5. 5 months ago

i use both, gog is my side store while steam is my main one.
if steam was gamestop, gog would be the drug dealer selling games i never heard of next to it

    >"So is it like they own the games or something?"
    >"Own? Nah, it's not like they could sell them, in fact we'll put in our TOS that they can't even share them with friends or family"
    >"Oh, so it's just like steam except without the launcher and family sharing"
    >"No no, here's the best part, we will actually make a launcher"

      >in fact we'll put in our TOS that they can't even share them with friends or family
that's just for legal protection from the corpos that put games on their store
they can't straight up admit that the installers are meant to be shared

Can you share them with friends? No
Oh wow so it's worse steam
        >"If we remove your games you can still use the installed you have saved!"

Yes, because KOTOR and other old games aren't complete shit, as in they work on modern systems if they are in GOG, unlike in Steam.

GOG is good for opposing DRM but they still only support wangblows with their launcher, so it's kind of a wash with how valve is pushing linux. I think windows is the bigger evil so I'm sticking with steam for now.
