I love Pansear, when I went to Nintendo's NYC store I got him like a decade ago, and still have him now. The other monkeys are cute too but Pansear is like a top 5 Pokemon I'd love to keep as a pet. Oh, I also have a shiny Panpour named Baja Blast.
They needed to make them look much more different in their final forms. I remember there was a fake leak with sadfish and pansage, and the pansage was a little off. However, it looks much better than what we got because it wasn't a big-headed noodle-limbed frick. It looked like a fricking well proportioned design.
Simisage is fine, but they couldve tried a different route with the others, like making simisear a bulky gorilla and simipour some other kind of simian

Panpour is like the only one really worth anything just cause Unova has shit Water type options. Pansage and Sear get mogged so hard by everything else in the region lol.
I really like Simisage and Simipour. I honestly think part of what killed their chances of being likeable was the ridiculously limited learnsets of the three. Evolve them early and they're stuck with no moves for the entire game and end up feeling very annoying.

I like the Unova monkeys, they're better than Milcery and Cinderace.
