I haven't really liked the way the Steam client looks since about 2010, but it doesn't bother me much now. It's not like I ever have to look at it for very long, anyways.
>uses at least 500MB of RAM that could go towards powering your vidya >forces you to waste money on more RAM sticks that could be spent on more vidya
I'm sure devs are the most bummed out of them all since they're the ones who're gonna get flooded with GAME RUN SLOW complaints.
I dunno what all the b***hing is about, I like it better than the old one. Still not as good as the old green Steam but it's alright. I think you guys just hate change because it's change.
I'm waiting to see if they make it so you can use the keyboards as UI themes like some guy said a couple threads ago.
Apparently all the stuff for doing that is already set up.
takes forever to close and startup
old one was fine
Get used to it. That's what's great about having a DRM client is that you get no say in the updates you get.
they still let you disable updates for now.
I dislike it, but it's whatever. I don't play vidya enough for it to be a nuisance.
Looks like phone garbage.
It looks like shit but I mainly use steam as a game library anyway so it's not really an issue.
>he spends more than 3 seconds in total looking at the UI
wtf
They made the text smaller so I'm totally happy with it.
Who actually spends time in the UI anyway? I'm just sick of this bloated huge UI trend Apple started.
It's slowly inching closer and closer to Big Picture mode being the default.
>Does anyone else absolutely hate the new steam UI?
how the frick do you muster enough energy to genuinely hate something so inconsequential?
first world problems
it looks exactly the same, i dont get it. outside of the in-game steam overlay, but i never use that anyways
I mean all the UI changes of the past 5 years, especially the 2020 one.
I barely notice a difference.
I've never had anyone friend request me in almost 20 years of being on steam until after the update. Coincidence, I think not
Aesthetically, no. I don't really give a shit. Functionally, yes. It's kind of ass.
What changed? I haven't noticed anything yet.
Main thing I encountered is not being able to resize/move the window in small mode. Don't know the cause of it.
This happened to me too.
To fix it you can try to restart Steam or go into big picture mode and exit.
Its faster than before and the notes thing is kind of cool. I don't mind it.
>notes thing
Qrd?
they hate screenshots so they put another thing above screenshots on the game page
Open steam overlay in game and there's an option to open up a notepad that you can use for that particular game.
oh, that's nice. I haven't used the Steam overlay in a million years but would probably appreciate that if I did.
the west has fallen
it's over

haven't noticed any changes that are worth complaining about
Looks like phone vetsion, loads and close forever, lot of useless notifications. Frick you Gaben

>I dunno what all the b***hing is about
it uses at least half a gig of RAM your games could be using to display a fugly web browser
Mine uses less than 450 MB and I've never had issues with running out of RAM when playing a game anyway and I only have 16 GB.
You seem to be forgetting that
>Unavailable RAM is wasted RAM

its basicly the SteamDeck ui
The Apple ear buds are the gayest thing in this image.
