Difference is that the Switch is still getting big EPD games like TotK, Pikmin 4 and Mario Wonder. Those stopped on 3DS years before it was replaced, I can't even remember which were the last ones it got.
>TotK, Pikmin 4 and Mario Wonder
Those games were meant to come out years ago. In the case of TotK probably about 3 years ago considering how much recycled content there is and how little ambition it has.
Yes they will. I think we're going to see a lot of GameCube remakes on the next system. Metroid Prime is a taster. Not exactly full ground up remakes but more reskins with all new textures and shit.
Mario Sunshine Remastered would be a big deal for example. Smash Bros Melee with a shiny coat of paint would make people lose their shit. They easily have stuff they could slap together like that.
It makes some sense since people call it a tech demo. And knowing Nintendo they'll sell millions regardless. I'll play new games rather, titles like LM and AC to me never were franchises. They're gonna ruin some part of it though is my best guess. But frankly I won't bother playing it. Got enough SMRPG mods to keep me happy, isometric platforming does not work.
Luigi's Mansion 2? Where the FRICK is Kid Icarus, Nintendo?
imagine porting over a 3ds game that a sizable amount of people were asking for
next thing you know they're gonna bring over shit like paper mario sticker star
No. They're porting Luigi's Mansion 2 because it's probably easy. Nintendo wants to cash in on the Mario Movie success by pumping out more Mario games and ports. Soulless.
The trailer looks like the early LM3 teaser, which means the final product will have the same graphics as LM3.
This means LM2 will have the LM3 King Boo model, and thus be infinitely more based.
With how much people dick sucked the first game I was expecting a lot when I got Luigi's Mansion 3 but it seemed incredibly boilerplate. Am I missing something?

>Go ahead and emulate it.
No thanks if what you say is true. I tend to like Nintendo if I had to pick a side in modern console wars at gun point but not everything they have is a winner for me. I dislike Zelda too.
I find the first game the most charming aesthetically and atmospherically, and people might say it's too short but I call it short and sweet. I find it much more tight and focused while 3 cared more about length and quantity.
Could be okay if missions were reworked, but it's still gonna be a far lesser LM3 even if they fix everything that doesn't involve just remaking stuff. The game was meant for short burst playtime handhelds and there is not much you can do about it.
Nintendo fricked up hard wasting the LM1 remake on the 3DS. Even though it's the game people want and nobody gives a frick about the 3DS remake, you just Nintendo isn't gonna port or remake 1 for a decade because they think it's too soon. Instead we get a game meant for the 3DS that people already don't love, blown up to HD.
only if they include the original as a bonus, you are going to charge 70 bucks for a port of a 3ds game, might as well include the original and make the price worth it and have all 3 entry's on one console.
>might as well include the original and make the price worth it and have all 3 entry's on one console.
lmao, that would be smart but this is nintendo we are talking about.
This is the same company who hates rereleasing their games on modern consoles but hates pirates/emulation.
They even got handed a free Mother 3 TL and still chose to not quietly release it for some quick shekels
>Charge $70
Why do I always hear this from Ganker with remaster/ports on the Switch? Metroid Prime, Monkey Ball, Pikmin, Mario 3D All Stars, Skyward Sword, they're always like $40, maybe $50. Name one remastered/ported previous Nintendo title on Switch that was $70.
It genuinely surprised me. I honestly don't mind since it may go the Prime route and completely redo the graphics. It gave me even more hope that Woolly World may eventually get ported as well.
I got the game on release but never played Scarescraper, so if nothing else I'm excited to experience it, especially since I hear it's way better then the one in 3, which I already enjoyed quite a bit. Though I still hope they fix many of its issues.
No. I don't even dislike the game, it's just an insane wasted effort given that it was a huge success on 3DS and the Switch already has a Luigi's Mansion of its own. Next Level Games really should have gone back to Punch-Out.
Nah we don't know, so I'm kinda jumping the gun with that assumption. Either way porting Dark Moon feels really redundant. I felt the same way about WarioWare getting a second installment on Switch so soon as well.
You know what Luigi deserves?
Another mother fricking Year of Luigi.
Remember all those Luigi games we got on 3DS and Wii U that year?
That shit was awesome.
That or let someone else get a year like Peach or Daisy, possibly Rosalina.
I don't mind it, but they should have done the original as well.
this. Seems kinda redundant to release 2 on Switch when 3 has already been there for years and is a much better game than 2.
But this is Nintendo after all, who released the first game on 3DS for 40 dollars with nothing new, making it as short as it was on Gamecube.
I played it on my 3ds when in vacation in tuscany and liked it, had a lot of fun with it.
No but Nintendo's in the sunset period of Switch so it's remakes and shit to pad the last year of the switch out.
Remember the 3DS sunset period when it got Luigi's Mansion 1 remake? Warioware remake and Mario and Luigi remakes?

Certainly not Mario, it's obvious that the intention was releasing it before the holiday season next to the Mario movie.
>No but Nintendo's in the sunset period of Switch so it's remakes and shit to pad the last year of the switch out.
i have a switch and i like nintendo games but lets be real most of the switch's library is just remakes and ports.
they are not going to be able to pull this shit with the next console.
They have a whole library of Wii games there and 3DS remakes are probably on the block
They can sell the same game forever
>they are not going to be able to pull this shit with the next console
Lol
That's why they're building a third HQ in Kyoto. More devs and more internal studios
Yes they will. I think we're going to see a lot of GameCube remakes on the next system. Metroid Prime is a taster. Not exactly full ground up remakes but more reskins with all new textures and shit.

Chibi Robo would be good.
Just give me F-Zero with online.
Only if they fix the mission system.
No
2 has better ghost sucking than 3, that Black person Tanabe and his slam ruined it
It makes some sense since people call it a tech demo. And knowing Nintendo they'll sell millions regardless. I'll play new games rather, titles like LM and AC to me never were franchises. It didn’t deserve to come before Kid Icarus Uprising that’s for sure
imagine porting over a 3ds game that a sizable amount of people were asking for
next thing you know they're gonna bring over shit like paper mario sticker star
Any day now, STEAM bros.
And Ever Oasis is next
it's his turn
The first two games can stay on the 3DS, but I would absolutely love a remaster/remake of the 3rd game. That one was actually pretty damn good.
Or preferably, just give him a new game.
First the HD trilogy, then smash, then a sequel, then the world.
God I wish. I want more people to experience STEAM. Fricking loved the game.
Sorry, lads. It doesn't have enough squid e-girls in it for it to become a popular series.
I mean sure, its just bizarre to have 2 and 3 but not 1
It was too short
No. They're porting Luigi's Mansion 2 because it's probably easy. Nintendo wants to cash in on the Mario Movie success by pumping out more Mario games and ports. Soulless.
>Make easy millions of dollars by selling a low budget 3DS remaster on your most successful console
The trailer looks like the early LM3 teaser, which means the final product will have the same graphics as LM3.
This means LM2 will have the LM3 King Boo model, and thus be infinitely more based.
whats with the textures
With how much people dick sucked the first game I was expecting a lot when I got Luigi's Mansion 3 but it seemed incredibly boilerplate. Am I missing something?

No, the first one is even worse.
Go ahead and emulate it.

Snoys are good at falseflagging
Only if they fixed how shit the bosses passed the first boss and last boss.
It genuinely surprised me. I honestly don't mind since it may go the Prime route and completely redo the graphics. It gave me even more hope that Woolly World may eventually get ported as well.
I replayed Dark Moon recently and it was more fun then I thought.
and by recently i mean 4 years ago hahahahahahaAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAA
I got the game on release but never played Scarescraper, so if nothing else I'm excited to experience it, especially since I hear it's way better then the one in 3, which I already enjoyed quite a bit. Though I still hope they fix many of its issues.

do we have any confirmation next level is at the helm for this
i was assuming it was grezzo
Nah we don't know, so I'm kinda jumping the gun with that assumption. Either way porting Dark Moon feels really redundant. I felt the same way about WarioWare getting a second installment on Switch so soon as well.
Because of the lip synching animation, only NLG does that.

The online was pretty fun
