It's only worth it for the setting. The npcs are hollow set pieces, the story is mediocre at best, contrived at worst. What you see is what you get. If you don't like it now, provided you've actually completed the "tutorial"/story intro, you're not going to.
Do you typically fellate companies that outright lie to you? I do not.
So this is one of those games that you either don't enjoy at all, force yourself to enjoy, drive around for 10 minutes and inevitably get bored, use as a benchmark or slog through it?
Pretty much yeah. I fricking hate it because every time I boot it up I think about what it could have been instead of what it is, and I've finished the game twice now over the course of the last 3 years. The level design is amazing, Night City is dope, and the gameplay/game design is trash. Sad!
>they said sorry
Oh, oh frick me. They said sorry? Forgive me anon, I had no idea they said sorry for deliberately cutting two-thirds of their game and releasing it in a hideously broken state to consoles and PC, with the former being so broken they had to take it off the console stores, for the sole sake of hitting KPIs for a Christmas sale. That changes everything, you vapid c**t.
>they apologized for it
and they proceeded to do the bare minimum to make good on that apology, bragged about being "fricking back on top" when people coomed to the anime, and then said "well actually, we had a good launch, the gamers just thought it was cool to hate on it."
That apology apparently meant jack shit.
it's fine if you don't forgive them. you're just not breathtaking enough of a person

So do you get paid per post or by the week?
That said if they ever fricking pick Cyberpunk 2077 out of the steaming shit state that it's in, I'll acknowledge that they've done that. I'm not a fricking troglodyte, unlike you, who apparently won't accept any criticism of your national software developer.

i get paid in laughs. look you need to have a very high intelligent quotient to enjoy cyberpunk

Depends on how you wanna play it. You can either play it with hacking enabled or with slowmo, the other "superpower" sucks. The main story could have been good if it wasn't so focused on Johnny, I fricking despise CDPR for throwing the whole story out of the window for celebrity recognition. I just finished it, the finale was really underwhelming and I got a bug that prevented me from hacking anything, so the last stretch was a slog.
Still, I don't get how anybody had any faith on CDPR actually delivering, they are eurojank auteurs known for making Fallout 4 tier games. I have hope for the DLC tho, the setting is pretty damn great.
The success of Witcher 3 attracted all the woke parasites that view IPs as a platform to push an agenda. They are already in the process of remaking Witcher 1 for “modern audiences”.
what's falseflag? don't use twitter debate terms on me you fat american. anyway if you don't believe in this business model, you are very stupid. look up no man's sky and star citizen if you don't trust it works.

You just wanna stir up controversy talk about how CDPR objectively lied about the game, instead of talking about the actual game. No Man's Sky did get it's redemption arc but at it's core it's still a chore of a game, and > Star Citizen
Anyway, it's an ok game. I'm pretty sure it would have been way different (and better) if someone else did it. CDPR somehow managed to frick up the narrative and made a decent Deus Ex / Sleeping Dogs hybrid.
HOPE!?
CDPR lied to you and then they bought off people so they can lie to you more
they lied, downplayed, and removed features for 9 straight years
they should be trying to salvage YOUR goodwill, not the other way around, bootlicker
whats a little lie and some little bugs in exchange for 20 million copies sold. i make that trade anyday

There's quite a bit of verticality but anything above 3 stories is usually indoors/skyscrapers. There's lots of roof action in certain parts of the city, but you're mostly free on where to go in NC and how to get there, though not always.
Once you get leg implants the game changes radically. The combat gets a bit faster and you can ditch cars for <300 meters waypoints.

nah, I actually got the game in the sale, played a 117 minutes and I will prolly refund this piece of shit unless something in this thread can convince me otherwise
but I don't think so
Stop playing it now. Wait until the DLC/2.0 patch that will completely overhaul the games systems. If you’re referring to the story, then no. If you don’t like it, then you may as well drop it.
>world where cybernetics allow seamless genital swapping at a whim >this character's codex makes sure the readers know they did it the old fashioned way
why would, within this world, people bother doing it the old way when the new way gets so much more accurate results? the answer is virtue signalling is more important than lore.
>i lost the race on purpose >I made sure to pick the most butthole dialogue options >I downloaded a mod that removes the troony flag and lets you kill her
Anything devs can do mods can do better.
I'm so glad I dodged a bullet when I decided to contain my hype and wait until they iron out the major bugs. I knew it was going to be a mess of a launch after the Witcher III and overambitious open world like Bethesda's but I didn't expect the meltdown.
objectively i can agree with that
the combat is easily trivialized and there's rarely long sequences of action, there's a huge amount of downtime and filler
it's good overall after first minute, gameplay gets good soon after intro chapter. If you dislike it, you dislike it, but it doesn't have any kind of weak intro or anything. Entire game will be consistently as fun as it is once you reach 3h playtime or so
I think gameplay-wise, it sucks. And it's not just stuff that 'le update' can fix. The movement is floaty, the weapons are janky and the driving is stiff. It really isn't a fun game to actually play.
But I liked the story. Everything about the characters clicks. The game SERIOUSLY starts in a very wrong and awkward way, hoping you'll care about Jackie within 5 minutes of knowing him just cause you got shown a montage of your friendship, but later on proves it knows how to actually make you care.
Yeah, the main quest, companion quests and some of the side quests. The side gigs are alright. They're basically more freeform borderlands style enemy camps. The people religiously shitting on this game are regurgitating stupid video from 20 years ago that looked at ps4 bugs that have been fixed for longer than they've existed by now. The rest are morons that expected GTA despite them never advertising it as a GTA game.
>companion quests
I mean the love interests quests. Even the ones you can't romance are still good and even comfy at times like going scuba diving after some high stress mission involving taking out high ranking gang members.
You can type in console in order to make it so Judy is frickable as a dude. Originally it was planned for Judy to be able to frick both male and female V just like Panam and Stout. Don't let them take from you what you deserve.
Panam is better anyway so I never bothered. The only thing I didn't like was that forced gay moment on the boat with that one boomer despite picking what I thought were all the "friend" options. It was even worse because it was like I was coming onto him and he rejects me.
You just wanna stir up controversy talk about how CDPR objectively lied about the game, instead of talking about the actual game. No Man's Sky did get it's redemption arc but at it's core it's still a chore of a game, and > Star Citizen

>they lied they lied they lied!
It gets so boring crying about missing features promised 5 years before release in a large scale RPG. Like what the frick do you expect? Magic? 30 different games inside it for every little choice? People actually believe this too as I've seen guys lie and claim that they promised a "rockerboy playthrough" which in their explanation would be basically a rhythm game. You're dying from brainchip cancer but hold on lemme start a punk band. Crazy people
And I will say it again. They didn't deliver. It was supposed to emulate the feel of the tabletop and we got a low budget, serviceable GTA clone like Sleeping Dogs with a tiny bit of agency over how to address objectives, like Human Revolution.
The lead up to the heist is the only good point. After that it turns into a slog, you go from having a bro like Jackie to having Jonnie moron constantly popping in to be an angsty homosexual while you do the same exact quest over and over.
Nope. Never. Thank God I never bought into the hype and hated the game from the moment I heard about it. Bought it on sale, played it for a few. Never going back again

DLC will fix these. have hope you fricking haters
You bought an open world shooter, thats what its going to remain till the end of the game, what else did you expect?
lmao
Do you typically fellate companies that outright lie to you? I do not.
Pretty much yeah. I fricking hate it because every time I boot it up I think about what it could have been instead of what it is, and I've finished the game twice now over the course of the last 3 years. The level design is amazing, Night City is dope, and the gameplay/game design is trash. Sad!
they apologized for it, you miserable spiteful c**t. this is why gaming will never heal and we as a gamers will be seen as violent rioters
>they said sorry

lmao they sure did anon
they sure did
>will fix
>haters
your implication of it being broken makes it a valid critique
whats a little lie and some little bugs in exchange for 20 million copies sold. i make that trade anyday
it is absolutely nothing
which is why they will continue to lie and scam until convinced otherwise
and they can only be convinced the hard way
HOPE!?
CDPR lied to you and then they bought off people so they can lie to you more
they lied, downplayed, and removed features for 9 straight years

>TWO MORE WEEKS TRUST THE PLAN
No dlc for ps4 FRICKER.
So this is one of those games that you either don't enjoy at all, force yourself to enjoy, drive around for 10 minutes and inevitably get bored, use as a benchmark or slog through it?
Is there verticality or are confined to the streets?
streets
There's quite a bit of verticality but anything above 3 stories is usually indoors/skyscrapers. There's lots of roof action in certain parts of the city, but you're mostly free on where to go in NC and how to get there, though not always.
Well, you can abuse glitches and get to the top of Arasaka tower and beyond above the clouds.
Once you get leg implants the game changes radically. The combat gets a bit faster and you can ditch cars for <300 meters waypoints.
Imagine getting baited like this.
look, sometimes, anons gotta vent.
there's implants that allow you to double jump but otherwise no
>The NPCs are hollow set pieces
This is what pisses me off the most. At no point of the game, they feel "real".
I uninstalled after the slog of fully analyzing the first braindance. What a kingsize pain in the fricking ass.
It's basically fricking garbage. I recently saw a video of someone that installed around 350 mods to improve his game.
Stop doing sidequests and random GTA shit, just roleplay the main story.
Nope it’s just generic Ubisoft-tier gameplay from beginning to end.
Yeah, when you make a futa v
I don't even think nostalgia can save this turd.
>15 min in
>combat tutorial
>the yellow enemy bot thing swings at me and immediately T-poses
jfc, I thought they patched this pos?
Yes.
Also is fine, not all games are for everyone.
>CDPR posts new announcement for their new shill campaign
>an organic Ganker thread about CPorn 77 appears
nah, I actually got the game in the sale, played a 117 minutes and I will prolly refund this piece of shit unless something in this thread can convince me otherwise
but I don't think so
it gets lukewarm at best halfway during the main quest
>does this get good at any point?
it actually does
right at Uninstall Wizard
No, and don't bother with the sidequests. There's only 2 or 3 worth a shit, the rest is just time wasting, low effort garbage.
Why do they frick you over at the intro? I would have loved to play that fricking montage. Instead I'm stuck with fricking johnny mnemonic for hours
Stop playing it now. Wait until the DLC/2.0 patch that will completely overhaul the games systems. If you’re referring to the story, then no. If you don’t like it, then you may as well drop it.
Breaking into Arasaka tower and stealing the chip is one of the best levels in vidya history. Absolute cinematic masterpiece.
it was janky as frick and barely felt like a heist
cringe opinion
get some taste, you malnutrition-addled brainlet
Nope, and you can’t even kill the disgusting troony. They are actually adding another one in the upcoming DLC. Pozzed trash.
>screenshot is real
>world where cybernetics allow seamless genital swapping at a whim
>this character's codex makes sure the readers know they did it the old fashioned way
why would, within this world, people bother doing it the old way when the new way gets so much more accurate results? the answer is virtue signalling is more important than lore.
Not only that, you could probably buy some braindance to satisfy your "getting fricked in the vegana" cravings without ever mutilating your body.
>i lost the race on purpose
>I made sure to pick the most butthole dialogue options

8.5/10 game
If you didn't like it you're too stupid to get it and/or are a sheep that just blindly lets groupthink define their taste
>no, you see, it's the people who DON'T eat the pile of shit they were told is going to be a 5 star meal that are the sheep
No
Story was pretty decent overall, but the game definitely a lot worse than it could've been.
6.5/10 at best
This. It was decent in some ways and very mid in others.
objectively i can agree with that

You are everything that's wrong with gaming. A mindless drone whose sole function is to consume slop and to defend said slop.
>RPG
open world action-adventure story
>You're dying from brainchip cancer
we wouldn't need to die from brainchip cancer if they hadn't pushed john wick more than they actually planned
And I will say it again. They didn't deliver. It was supposed to emulate the feel of the tabletop and we got a low budget, serviceable GTA clone like Sleeping Dogs with a tiny bit of agency over how to address objectives, like Human Revolution.
That's absolutely wrong you mong. A gross turd of GTA clone is exactly what we got instead of an actual RPG truly based on the pen and paper.
The lead up to the heist is the only good point. After that it turns into a slog, you go from having a bro like Jackie to having Jonnie moron constantly popping in to be an angsty homosexual while you do the same exact quest over and over.
