>this is the most soulless art direction in the series,
That's objectively TP.
Went full in on the brown and bloom meme and the character models are ugly as frick.
Correct. Takashi Tezuka should have kept making them seeing as he made the best games in the series (1, 3 and LA). Miyamoto just came up with the "concept" of zelda - he came in to the office and said "dude what if we made a game where you explore caves and shit coz that's what i did when i was a child. me me me me!!!!".
Tezuka actually did all the design/direction.
whats wrong with the combat
id say it has better combat than TP despite having less moves, on account of the fact that its somehow harder than that game and enemies put up more of a fight
I disagree. WW has too much waiting around for either enemies to be go into an obvious defenseless stance or for the parry ability to kick in, and most other items besides the sword aren't useful in combat. Both games are easy because enemies do shit damage to you, but contrary to what you said I find TP's enemies are at least more aggressive. The variety of sword techniques means there's a variety of ways to kill enemies, and you can generally do so quickly with the right technique or item.
I think Darknuts are obvious case. In WW you basically just lock on to them and wait for the chance to parry repeatedly until they die. In TP there's more positioning involved and different ways to try to get a hit in, it's not very deep but it's probably the most depth Zelda combat has had.
>In TP there's more positioning involved and different ways to try to get a hit in
If, for whatever reason, you decide to wear iron boots vs a Darknut in TP, you can roll forward to kick them with the boots, which has a short enough animation and long enough hitstun that you can keep an infinite going iirc
I dont really know how you can hate on Breath of the Wild when compared to TP OR WW. Outside of inventory shit and dungeons lacking distinct elemental themes the physics and puzzles put it way above other series titles when it comes to gameplay.
WW is probably the best 3d Zelda aside from OoT. Only seething redditors disagree and pretend like their favorite series isn't already for literal children. >m.... muh dark theme!!!!
Cope. WW=OOT > TP > BOTW > SS
Why do you think it's not possible to have dark themes in something that's made for children? Are you stupid? Oh wait, you're a Zelda fan on Ganker. I already know you're stupid.
>you're a Zelda fan on Ganker
False, that would be the morons who complain about wind waker. You can have dark themes, just don't act like you're game is too childish when it doesn't despite the fact it was made for literal children.
Miyamoto also argued against changing to the TP art style because he didn't think it would sell more so if the OP pic is true and not horseshit then he can't make up his fricking mind
Funny story. I was in medically induced coma while WW was in development, and came out of it excited to read a game magazine's expose' on the new Zelda. I was so ready to see more Space World Demo type stuff, and then I fricking see it: TOON LINK. I was disappointed at first, but I wasn't necessarily a close minded kid and decided that it looked cool anyway.
Overall it was pretty bad yeah. A lot of the islands had charm but so much drags on or feels blatantly unfinished. Good Ganondorf though. It must have done something right since I feel like Skyward Sword gets more hate despite being a more well put together title.
Windwaker's art style was initially jarring personally, so I can't hold that against Miyamoto, but it quickly grew on me, and honestly it has been one of the biggest influences on my own aesthetic.
this is the most soulless art direction in the series, so yeah
>this is the most soulless art direction in the series,
That's objectively TP.
Went full in on the brown and bloom meme and the character models are ugly as frick.
not midna
midna is pure sex
I literally can't play TP because the bloom hurts my eyes.
What bloom?
bump
nope, it's pure kino
remove your wiener cages and unplug your rectums
>kino
Post discarded
You're a homosexual. That's obviously skyward sword, trying to take the cell shading from KINO waker while still looking like shit.
Yes and Miyamoto's right.
No. Twilight Princess is easily the most soulless.
>Miyamoto shill
>worst taste
Wew
it's actually the exact opposite of what you said but ok
Yes. It's more empty and unfinished than even BotW
They had a 1.5 year deadline, didn't they? They scrapped a lot of stuff to meet that deadline.
Based Miyamoto. Aonuma never should have taken over the series.
>it is hate
What?
Correct. Takashi Tezuka should have kept making them seeing as he made the best games in the series (1, 3 and LA). the screenshots looked like shit, then I played the demo disc and I loved it.
What is the full quote?
I think everyone hated it at first glance but after playing it for a bit it grows on you.
It's the worst 3D Zelda that isn't BotW. That mostly has to do with sailing, dungeons, and combat though, not the artstyle.
whats wrong with the combat

You better prove that right now because I can't find shit on that.
Its the best 3D Zelda. The worst is Skyward Sword. This is objectively true.
I dont really know how you can hate on Breath of the Wild when compared to TP OR WW. Outside of inventory shit and dungeons lacking distinct elemental themes the physics and puzzles put it way above other series titles when it comes to gameplay.
Yes
I loved it at first glance. And loved it when playing it.
Always hated the Spaceworld 2000 trailer.
Christ
Miyamoto's a hack.
I loved wind waker, but I was literally 15 years old when it released and I have never replayed it. It could be shit for all I know.
same. I do like the art direction though.
this is the most soullfull art direction in the series, so no
Kys zoomer
nah it’s a top 3 Zelda. Zelda peaked from N64 to GC not including TP
>oh look it’s Ganker‘s most discussed Zelda
🙂
No, that would be Ocarina of Time.
>cuckarina of time
>Wind Wanker
id wank in front of Tetra alrighty
that'd be the daily BotW seethe threads
To be fair I think that was the case for most people
It was rushed
Minish Cap was able to fix the Toon style simply by drawing better. Wind Waker looks floppy.
Hated cartoony styles like this, world of warcraft, anything cell shaded. Even if WW had fun gameplay and exploration, the art style is wrong
It's the worst 3D Zelda, so yeah. It does
>It's the worst 3D Zelda
No, that belongs to Breath of the Wild.
No, Breath of the Wild is one of the best 3D Zeldas.
>OP didn't get the shit storm he wanted yesterday in the other WW thread so now he's trying with his own
Lmao get fricked nerd
It's like Super Mario Sunshine; despised or forgotten by most, absolutely loved and a cult classic with a few.
WW is probably the best 3d Zelda aside from OoT. Only seething redditors disagree and pretend like their favorite series isn't already for literal children.

>Miyamoto hated the only good zelda game
why?
Miyamoto also argued against changing to the TP art style because he didn't think it would sell more so if the OP pic is true and not horseshit then he can't make up his fricking mind
>Miyamoto also argued against changing to the TP art style because he didn't think it would sell more
Source?
He's right
That's why he worked on Metroid with texan wizards
Yes the art style was completely different from the Space World 2000 demo.
windwaker came with oot and master quest
so child me just went "holy shit three cakes"
Anybody got that video where the guy recited that miyamoto rant about zelda
Now I want to see that video.
Literally wind waker
not really
You didn't even try my homie. You just took that from the Monkey Island thread
Character proportions are not the same so no. Corporate art has long legs and hands for characters to make them look "quirky"
You are blind
Absolutely yes it's a terrible half assed game with a shit art direction
Yes. Twilight Princess > shitd keker

I liked it.
no it’s beautiful
No, Wind Waker has aged far better than any of the other shit Zelda titles like Ocarina or Twilight Princess.
