He's a priest who became an alcoholic wizard. He's only away from the temple in order to serve his god. People make him anxious, but he'll spend most of his time at the tavern, in hopes of finding people or clues to fulfill his duty.
My last character was more a 'drink on the porch and enjoy the sunset' kind of guy, though being a deputy marshal meant he was checking in at the local bar often enough.
My most recently played character is a Dwarf Drunken Monk but roleplayed as an alcoholic boxer. It was for a one-shot we played on St. Patrick's Day, but nobody made the connection.
What do you think RPGs are? You clearly don't play anything at all, but I'm fascinated to know what drives people like you to ask these weird nonsensical questions that are not even remotely related to the way most people who have ever played any system would understand RPGs to be like.
That does not answer the question you were asked and it only reinforces that you don't really know how this roleplay thing works in the context of a typical TTRPG.
Dude I play games every week and there's nothing wrong with OP.
Some of us just get over excited about the game and start having all of these silly small random thoughts to bring the fantasy to life a bit more.
Actual nogames responses. No one who is actually playing in any sort of game regularly is constantly jerking themselves off about what their character would do in a vague hypothetical, loosely genre-related situation. >When's the last time your character did their laundry? >What is the consistency of your character's bowel movements? >If your character got asked what time it was, how would they answer? >Does your character trim their toenails?
>>When's the last time your character did their laundry?
Ages ago, he uses prestidigitation to clean his clothes (and party members', now that they're on a long trip).
>>What is the consistency of your character's bowel movements?
He gives me perma-constipation vibes.
>>If your character got asked what time it was, how would they answer?
Quite accurately. He mostly uses prestidigitation to track the time, sometimes other 1 hour duration spells.
He'd be awkward if it's a stranger who's asking though.
>>Does your character trim their toenails?
Yeah, he's all about habits.
I always go out of my way when I GM to describe any place the party is in as though it is a real place, so every tavern/inn is unique, with its own architecture and style. I also usually have PCs meet at restaurants and cafes instead of taverns, regardless.
Depends on which character. My Half-Elf Bladesinger not so much, though he has no problem joining his party if they push him. My Dragonborn Ranger. Yes, he all about his drink and food. Hell the reason he became an adventurer was to try new food. My Human Fighter, he is down to play cards and drink.
i'm in 2 games >a man trying for sainthood whose body is a temple and is a recovering poor hater
no >a rich war profiteer, general, crime lord, and accountant psychic who has several fake identities she uses to slip among the common folk
yes and she owns the local taverns too
Yes, he likes to dance if he's on the mood (and by dance I mean just jumping around and growling like the uncivilized savage he is)
He likes the drink for the most part but he's most likely to spend time with the roaming dogs whether fighting for scraps or just hanging out
He also sleeps in the stables
My current character is an Ogre barbarian. I'm not allowed in the tavern.
No, its a stuck up wizard of noble origin. Fancy social gatherings and raised pinky fingers it is, not rough and rowdy tavern life.
Like a Gala?
Yeah. Galas, concerts, balls, the shit you imagine when thinking french aristocrat movies.
My current character is an OSHA tavern inspector. I'm not allowed in the tavern.
>It's another dogshit tavern thread that is just a chatroom
frick off

Drinking is uncool. Don't drink.
My character is supposed to be uncool. He drinks trying to be cool, but it makes him even less cool
>all those natalie portman expys in the picture

>Her feet are next to the food
I'm taking my business elsewhere
Funny enough I paid to eat food off her feet. Different strokes, huh?
I honestly would hang out here, seems like a good time

It's an RP question about people's characters.
That does not answer the question you were asked and it only reinforces that you don't really know how this roleplay thing works in the context of a typical TTRPG.

You homosexuals aren't fooling anyone.
You don't leave your house
You play OSR, we get it.
even the basicest of hexcrawls have a space that would include a tavern

nogames autist
that b***h has her feet on the table gross
Given the small size of the community they're in, the charactes pretty much finance the entire tavern and associated businesses.
Why is that b***h in the bottom right corner looking at the camera? It's off-putting. Also what kind of tavern serves a whole roasted pig?
You don't vibe with the local tavern scene
She's not looking at the camera, she's looking at you. She's literally giving you "frick me" eyes. Don't blow it anon.
>what kind of tavern serves a whole roasted pig
One with good food.
Is that from DSA/Dark Eye?
No, he's a lawful evil half-elf warlock who's a stuck up lawyer, he's trying to hunt his elven mom down for missed child support.
