They're not dead, but as per usual, it takes so much time to get buffs that units that were good on release, are mid when the team gets buffs.

Thats a ×1.15% buff to their total attack. Red zone black does 550,000 so his normals are 632,500 and rose does 600k so his are 690k to super class. Still isn't 150k per normal. And thats bare minimum, no support or defense equips stats.

This meta is just too much too fast. Honestly I could see the writing on the wall when they released LR Vegeta and Trunks. Like they just decided to give unconditional guard AND the ability to easy achieve 700k+ def. Since they broke that unconditional guard threshold they've clearly been scared of breaking since teq ulthan and then you could just feel we were on the edge of them having no idea how to handle powercreep. We're now reaching the next point that they're scared of breaching which is units that stack so fast that their defence is viable early, which is not just an issue because of how fast it can start to go out of control and the other big issue that comes with it, the amount of healing these stackers do, which in my mind is why they're going down the route of just handing out high damage reduction to everyone because it's easy to manage on the healing front.
I think what they really should've done when they upped the leader skills during the 7th anni is to stop scaling hp in leaderskills in line with atk and def. They could've either done that or stealth nerfed the amount of healing that orbs give
also they love to make units that need to build up so now they have to give dr or you get btofd turn 1
and this is because the only way they know to make difficult content is adding zeros to the atk number

You might be thinking gohan cant tank shit after turn 5 because he only has 20% reduction pre super at that point
BUT if you dont use his active at turn 5 and instead use it at turn 7, this turns on his extra 20% reduction because his active activates that part of his passive
TLDR: you only really have to worry for gohan turn 9 otherwise he should do just fine, and at turn 7-9 you should already have everything build up either way

I'll grant he wasn't a frontline unit but his scouter effect was the missing piece for then-top tier units like 5guys goku to work and bardock himself could take normals without concern and since he crit and hit type effective he hit much harder than his attack stat would suggest he would.

This is just from memory but doesn't Goku Black SA for 1.5 mil +15% against super class which would be 1.725 mil. Let's say Trunks get 2 supers so we reduce it to 1.38 mil. Anything less than 600k def would get you toasted and let's be real you're dead anyways if you're under 800k def.

The average player uses items for red zone shit so I don't see why anyone would recommend full dodge for everything.

Sure Zamasu has less options on his team, but I think he's the better unit between the two.
Because teams matter a lot. Gohan's team is filled with slot 1 units, supports that can tank and his domain actually matters since red zone is 99% extreme battles. Zamasu has no real good support units to run on his team, has no great options besides AGL Zamasu and Piccolo Jr, and while his domain is useless, and will hurt his team since the blue fusions are actually good units to run with him seeing how barebones his options are. For Zamasu to even have a chance of competing with Gohan's team, both INT Goku Blacks would have to EZA in part 3 and be as broken as AGL Zamasu, but that has an extremely low chance of happening

theres no point on doing post super calcs because gohan outclasses everyone on the game there

if you don't have dupes on him he is basically useless damage wise, he really needed effective against all types or guaranteed crits depending on how many attacks you performed , as he is at 55% now he just does nothing.

It's the only thing that can help a unit tank slot 1 attacks, so if that's explicitly their job then dodge is good. Even then though I feel like it's only worth if they happen to be INT
