Unless you're a Truth level whale, running piccolo as your super team won't work. Run DBS vegito's instead. They're on all the advantageous categories (Super heroes, battle of wits, and accelerated battle). Something similar to pic related is fine.

Is 29-4 better for link leveling than 15-2? (manual, no STA refresh)
29-4 is slightly better in terms of raw attempts and the exp gain can grant lots of rank up stamina, but 15-2 is better for stamina consumption, especially boosts when you get lucky and 10+ fights spawn.
The major downside to 15-2 is that it takes twice as long to complete as any other stage (except 7-10), if not longer, which is why I always go for the new stages and only come back to it for boost.
I did the discounts since I wanted to use my 500 yellow coins on a different unit down the line, but I just got a couple dupes and some coins, so I guess it's going to be several years before I have the option to buy someone again if I get GF.
Time is not an issue (except when 3 min refills), so I guess I will go back to 15-2 once I empty the blue gem shop

Now that I can finally trade Teal coins, I now have over 500. I already have Birdku and Metal Cooler - is the Carnival SSJ Goku from the Hatchiyak movie worth grabbing with coins when he comes back, or should I keep saving for whatever comes after him?
Birdku becomes even better with dupes, plan to eradicate saiyans goku is good but he's hard to use because the other 2 with his name have better use cases.
That's kind of what I was thinking, but I'm always nervous to pick up dupes with coins. Is it THAT huge of a jump to consider doing it?

I can't tell what's a good setup for LR Piccolo since all the high scores and the chart say Super Hero Gohan and Piccolo primarily, which I can't find shit for.
It's going to function like a second active for units effectively but will have supportive effects whereas actives are almost always attacks.
It's as easy as checking the high scores and watching the super lineups that have LR Piccolo as connector. Follow the pattern.
I'm saying what I found by doing that. The problem is my entire list of friends' supporters looks nothing like that, just halfway good at best.
I tried settling for a mostly Piccolo super lineup since that was the most cohesive set I could find, but it ended poorly. I'd go for your phy VB setup, but mine is only free dupe.
The "secret" for CB is either add friends o be at high rank. Otherwise you will literally never get good lineups.

Assuming rainbow: LR TEQ transforming Vegito > DFE TEQ VB > DFE PHY VB > F2P LR STR VB as connector.
You need at least 4 vegitos in the line up, remaining 2 slots can be good fillers, like advantageous piccolos or beast gohan.
I'm rank 800+ and my supports are still ass more often than not, forget being able to find the 2 perfect units and their dokkan awakenings.
Maybe I'll have some luck with teq EZA VB though since I have at least a dupe in him.

My guess is that it's a gimmick with the spirit bomb gokus to either steal ki in exchange for boosts or just get a free boost once standby conditions are met. Probably extra damage reduction since all 3 tkmws times goku spirit bombed he was just sitting there, taking hits or dodging them.

Tangentially related, but for anyone curious, crit and super-effective multipliers do not stack, so the difference in damage is about 4:5 without factoring in enemy defense or a unit's type attack boost level.
I don't see how anybody would deny crit's importance, anytime my characters don't crit I feel like I'm doing peanuts of damage to the enemies' kilometric healt bars.

Peppy Gals Seal Squad is a group of random units, a lot of which are F2P, that most players will have and won't have a use for. It's funny because after fighting him with my phy teams I told myself why didn't I look at his conditions. I never expected the final boss could be sealed though.

People expected Gohan to be the Goku equivalent of the celebration, where they make him absurdly better than his counterpart for no good reason, and make Piccolo the Vegeta, i.e. gigashafted. Although personally I'd guessed that Piccolo would be the #1 just because it was likely they'd make him more defense-oriented and thus more useful overall, while Beast would be a god-tier but slowly aging beatstick. I was right about Piccolo, I just never imagined they'd frick up Beast like they did.

This, it's one of my favorite meme modes and as a new player it won't frick you like virtual clash does
You gain nothing from playing Chain Battle whether you're a new player or someone that has been playing since day 1. There is nothing to lose from doing Battlefield even if you can't complete it. You still get some stones, Kais and the currency all of which are infinitely more useful than shitty equipment medals. New players that don't have multiple dupes in their characters can't even take full advantage of equips, playing CB is a complete waste of time for everyone but especially them.

This is why I love Dokkan. They know how to lay down the law. Cell Max is the most dangerous enemy they have faced so far, you'd better not forget it. He will always have the toughest fights!
This version of Cell Max is a little b***h. He still supers twice per turn, but his supers here do way less damage and can actually be tanked easily. Easiest Red Zone final boss by far.

i tried a similar team minus the str full power frieza bc i do not have him and the phy frieza bc i thought he was fodder. also the golden frieza does like no damage why bring him

It's film accurate, Piccolo couldn't do shit against Cell Max other than be a small distraction and buy a little tiny bit more time. He might as well have not even went Orange again, if it works like any other transformation then he really just wasted more stamina than he needed to. Given how Krillin, Fat Gotenks and 18 could take hits from him and not die, I don't think he even needed to be Pisscolo for that. Honestly I really just hate everything about those final few minutes of the battle now that I think about it. They make Piccolo look really stupid for no reason other than "he wanted to push Gohan", even though Gohan was already at his limit as far as everyone knows and really shouldn't have had anymore hidden power on top of what was already released for him twice.
Anyway, I wish the other Cell Max stage had more stuff like that but the only film accurate thing there is the fact that you can only use a Senzu Bean. It's a shame that event is just kind of a one and done and can never really be expanded upon.

And Cell almost broke free about a hundred times. Piccolo might as well have not been holding him at all. The big stupid monster left himself wide open anyway and his one track mind lead him to just make a big ball of energy and try to and counter a drill attack. Knowing Gohan though, he definitely did need that little bit of extra help in lining up the shot since he's apparently blind without his glasses. Piccolo's assistance was most valuable when he first grew big and boxed with Cell for a bit, that forced him to stop just wildly firing everywhere for a minute so Gohan could focus.

My personal head canon is that piccolo sold the hits a lot.
Not to mention, it only sells orange piccolo as being almost as strong as beast, since piccolo didnt have a senzu bean, running on fumes and was still able to hold off cell, even if temporarily.
Everyone there was capable of holding off Cell and damaging him, even Bulma probably could've shot him with a gun and slowed him down. He wasn't that strong and certainly not as durable as the real Cell. Piccolo getting his ass kicked and almost dying puts him far below the others, especially Beast Gohan who didn't even move when after getting punched by Cell Max. Keep in mind that Piccolo was not weakened before going to toe with Cell, he was holding onto the bean for himself in case he needed it but he was pretty much at 100% still from when he first went Orange.
If the rest of the movie is anything to go by, Piccolo is not that good of an actor. He was really getting molly whopped out there and lost his arm. The only thing he likely played up was him being knocked out for a second. Luckily, Gohan is a moron and fell for it but if he was trying to trick say Vegeta into thinking he was really about to get killed, he should have stayed in his base form.

Gamma 2 did an entire sacrifice and it ended up just taking out an arm of his, which did not pause him in the slightest.
Piccolo was not 100% considering he got his ass kicked before going orange against gamma 2 and beating him up, and then further exerting himself against cell max. He said that he was planning on eating the senzu but gave it to gohan, cause he knew gohan needed the zenkai boost.
18 was almost gotten if not for krillin intervening, and the entire cast sans orange piccolo was one shot by cell max.

Maybe I'm just old fashioned but I take "not dying instantly" to mean that if it came down to it, the weaker characters have a chance to slow him down in this series. I guess we can agree to disagree on that but I see Krillin managing to lift his foot and save 18 as a major feat for him.
Piccolo planned on them both having their own Senzu Bean to only use if someone got really fricked up. Even after Gohan dropped one, he still hesitated to use the remaining one until after someone died. The plan was always for them to work together defeat the threat but Gohan can literally only work under the most extreme pressure in the world, so 2 people almost had to die before he'd get it in gear.
I actually used this to my advantage a bit. When he entered his INT phase I went Naranja so that he would leave it and I'd take less damage with that rotation.

got this first try, agl LR Gohan was in slot 7 and only contributed a couple crits, so you don't have to worry about him. agl Kid Gohan is a great choice and str Ultimate Gohan can survive as a floater with a Whis.
I cleared it with a double Bardock team. Just put a tank in slot 1 and stun/seal the first 2 phases.

Maybe, maybe he'd be okay against Red Zone Cell Max since Son Family is a common link and there are plenty of defense supports on Hybrids, but that's it. His defense is too much of a detriment otherwise (335k against other enemies), which makes his high damage for a f2p unit irrelevant.
If they had just given him a 30% defense raise on super like 95% of all units that release nowadays, he'd be golden. That's all they had to do and this Gohan would've been a great budget option.
I really thought he was going to be an LR SSJ/ultimate gohan while they actually sold us beast.

Them being so stingy over guard in the future isn't because they realized guard was too good, they're just THAT mad they made an Adult Gohan overpowered.
Eh, str is still alright despite not always guarding. I'd feel worse about it if they continued to have the meta jump like with Cell Max and MCC, but they backed off and I can't imagine 8th anni content being much harder than the latter.
RR is only easier because there are no tickets or memories. Next one that has them will be harder than WB.
There isn't that much space between MCC and Cell Max in terms of stats and I doubt they meant less than 6 months when they said future endgame content would not be as difficult.
They're just painful for this 8-10 turn meta, too slow to exchange/build up and can't be covered by an item since there are 6ish dangerous turns as opposed to 3 or 4 in (E)SBR where the evasion could hold up.

Kid Goku's support makes him one of the most valuable units in the game on any team you can put him on which is a lot of teams. It's not the worst idea ever to summon on his banner but I still wouldn't recommend it. Whatever banner he comes back on will be made very good by his presence.

It's doable as I've gotten close, but requires a lot of things to go your way like not getting STR Pan first turn, which is alway AGL, having Trunks and Goten do additional supers constantly and keeping Future Gohan hidden for a few turns so he can get a nice amount of damage reduction. If global wasn't such a shitshow and we had gotten Gohan's EZA, this would probably be a piece of cake.

I really wouldn't put too much faith in an EZA for a nuker. If you want to know why, just look at what has happened to Goku's son recently.

But SSJ2 Gohan was barely changed at all. All they do for nuking units is make them a little bit more self sustaining by giving them more orb changing. This LR Gohan will fall off again and quickly for the same reason he did the first time, it's impossible to go SSJ2 and he just does not pack enough power in base to get the job done sometimes. There is such a thing as too much focus on defense.

They're actually the worst 200% lead for AGL Gohan because there's no way to fit Androids onto their team for the Transformation condition.
The 200% only affect themselves and Gohan who doesn't really need it. You're giving up an entire slot for that small boost.
Best leader but also the weakest link by far. It's better to just not have them on the team and lead with STR Namek Goku.

This Dokkan celebration is really just having L after L. Banners suck, the HYPE AND CRAVED EZAs are mid af so far, and the F2P units aren’t looking the best rn. This is one of the biggest flops of a major Dokkan event. Kid Goku deserved better.

I don't like the direction Dokkan is going. The game was amazing between 4th and 7th anniversary. There was so much variety and usability between different teams and units. They've done nothing but provide support to one single team the past year. Outside of that only Ginyu Force and Wicked Bloodline were thrown a bone. They expanded preset teams and now I never look past 2 different ones for difficult content.

GF in slot 1. LR Cooler won't kill Cell, even with a dokkan attack, unless he quadruple supers and quadruple crits, which has a low chance of happening. He does so much damage that next turn, the other LR Cooler will kill Cell max anyways.

There is nothing you can do here other than put Namek Goku in slot 1 and hope he tanks the Super and then he or Vegito can kill Cell.

He's not really worth coining, specially on global where we don't even now when he'll drop. Just save your coins for the Gods when they come back, and for Trunks and Vegeta or LR Cooler, if you don't have them.

a few years ago? absolutely. Now? not so much.
Teq EZA Vegito Blue is alright, not amazing. STR fusing Vegito still can deal great damage but cannot eat a hit at all and practically needs double dmg reduction items to survive a turn in modern difficult content. INT LR Vegito is decent, but the transformation takes awhile to come out and can easily get caught and killed. Hopefully this upcoming anni gives PHY Vegito a great EZA and maybe even year 5 STR VB a good one too

But it's wonky at best, you end up sometimes with a shit friend with garbage potential and sp atk level. All i wwant a replica of my own character so i can have a proper team.

In my experience, it usually works, but it doesn't solve the issue of niche leads since people won't use them that often and will change their friend lead once there's something new to play with.

The new Friend System is pretty legit.
I never have trouble finding any rainbowed leaders for even random shit like Giant Form or Heroes or Peppy Gals.
The skill slots aren't always filled or ideal, but it's much better than not being able to find a second lead at all.

The only thing that matters is the 3 units having 10 chain power between them and how fast you pick them. Cell makes this extremely easy with his distinct design and fricktons of old units that most people will put up.
I've picked triple Cell multiple times and while one was my highest run at 88 million, every single other one has been below that by a wide margin. My favorite was one where I got rainbow LR Cell, his rainbow TUR, and the rainbow TEQ, and it scored 75 million.
Truly a great mode.

I can consistently get 100 million at least by making sure to have all 4 DBS Vegettos and 2 red units for the super end, and mostly S/A level Cells and a couple B/C from
. Your issue might just be shitty friends after all or it could be something specific wrong with your comp that you may not have realized like taking a phy Cell for example.
I've been using the audio cue method to make sure I'm always taking the best possible supporter, so I think it's just a matter of not having whaled enough friends.
I really just want to hit 90 million for the stones, but I don't think I'll get there with only 2 real attempts left. I'll try more Vegetto teams as well.

That's a good basis, but it doesn't always work. In this CB, it sometimes suggests that teq EZA VB is a better connector than LR teq, but that's only because of 2 or 3 higher chain power, which isn't worth nearly as much as the LR's higher stats and SA level.
Some other things that might help to consider for CB in general even are that your score rises dramatically by picking supporter sets that have your exact connector in them (not just pre-awakened versions that may have different linksets and less categories) and that stats play just as much of a role in score as chain power (ex: a Cell set that has B/C level units rainbowed will do similar or more damage compared to a Cell set that has pre-awakened versions in A tier with 0 hipo investment).
Good luck to you in the 2 days you have and don't settle if you're not satisfied.

Some creativity and fanfiction will be needed for super attacks. 10th will finally be after nobody gives a frick anymore, we'll get standalone Gogeta Blue and a standalone Vegito Blue that will probably be jizzed on by the double EZA'd existing standalone VBs but it's the thought that counts. Hopefully after that there will be new stuff to milk besides Goku and Vegeta combo meals and Fusions.

It is not after he dies, if anything it's way before even when Eis appears. You could really say he makes up his mind and becomes good in the middle of his fight with Goku. I guess the Red Zone thing specifically may be a little better from here on during campaigns like we've seen with the unlimited Heroes attempts that only lasted the month and the unusual 5 attempts for Red Ribbon.
Of course there's the usual stuff like animations and kits, but another thing I'm not sure how many people realize is the diversity it brings. Ginyu has his own unique team, Yamcha makes Earthlings relevant, Kid Goku allows multiple teams to exist by himself as a jack of all trades, etc.
No idea how they'd do direct interaction between players, but I like the way guilds work in Legends. If they copied it 1:1 for Dokkan except with much better rewards, I'd be happy.
