He supered to death my level 10 links, rainbowed Captain Ginyu after supering WITH support. I'm livid, takes like 20 minutes to get to that phase the mode is a slog. Every other battle was him supering for 400k on the first attack slot 4 times.
Just seal him with TEQ Godku you clutz.
He's phy, just vaporize him with Cooler's str team.

I use Kid Goku a good amount. He's pretty good for Cell Max and other tough teq stages although there's better type neutral options and he needs to float on a double phy Kid Goku lead to work to his fullest potential.

If we're actually being serious for once, I made this a while ago. The only thing I'd change now is to be more generous with AA to shitty instant f2p EZAs that need the second super to not get BTFO as hard like the type Metal Coolers.
It's more like they wanted him to be a more relevant carbon copy of agl who has 80% DR. They knew what they were doing but really held back his offense out of the same fear they have for AoE units.
Other than that, 300k-400k def honestly isn't bad considering almost everyone who isn't a dedicated tank sits around 500k or so.
I genuinely believe they made PHY SV's eza in like 2021 with like 60% dr vs normals and a little def, forgot about it and to quickly "fix" the problem gave him an extra 20% dr vs normals and slightly more def as his only genuine change and just released him

The low class warrior missions are all really easy with or without him. His coolest aspect is just running his team with the scouter, stacked Goku's Lineage units like EZA LR Gohan, and his own ridiculous stats with dupes and support.

The team has agl Bardock, int Kid Goku next week, Version Z Goku, LR Bardock, agl Turles, and str Raditz as well. It shouldn't be that tough since Legendary events are not Red Zone Level and you get 2 different support items instead of 1.

PHY SV will still have a baby dick attack stat unless STR SV receives a mega EZA and obtains damage reduction and a support effect for all MBS or BoW units.
Well right now, there's Paikuhan and movie 5 Piccolo on BoW at least, but it's still really frustrating to see a unit entirely dependent on a future unit having the perfect complementing kit to reach his potential. Best case scenario with 40% support, he'll sit at 4.4 million atk with 1.9/2.4 million counters, which would be fricking amazing coupled with the super detection.

The formula to calculate defense is
Base defense * leader multiplier * start of turn multiplier (support goes here) * mid turn multiplier * links * super attack effect

It doesn't matter regardless since links are always their own separate step in calcs. The only time it makes a difference is when enemies lower defense on super like SSBE which stackers specifically are resistant to.
I've had him at 1 dupe with max link levels for a while and he still disappoints me with worse stats and a lower crit/add rate than my rainbow SS4 Vegeta.

I've been thinking about this for a while and it would probably be best if they started taking really old and shitty EZA (e.g. Hero Extermination, Toppo/Dyspo, agl Caulifla/phy Kale, etc.) units out of the general pool to make room for all the good banner units that get released nowadays. Like lots of people missed agl Nail for multiple years and he was released back when the pool didn't even have 200 units.
Just have a new kind of ticket like Master's Packs in Legends or have a permanent section of the baba shop just for them and elder kais with currency you get from weekly/monthly missions.
And here I am still keeping over a hundred useless extra dupes out of some outdated pre-coin mentality. I don't even care about having slightly better CB supports.

Take a look at the list of extreme Shadow Dragon arc units as well as their linkset. Even if you run phy Omega and teq Syn on opposite rotations under a double LR Omega lead, there will be absolutely no one good to float.

You don't need to do that at all if you're familiar with Global menus and memorize unit kits. The only differences are being able to see your purchase history, having an encyclopedia of every unit in the team tab, and no Pilaf's Trove.

Honestly I would have settled for them just putting up a calculator for defense or letting us know how much damage it's gonna do on each stage. We just need more fricking information than some worthless 180k and then I have to mentally calculate the floating buffing units 20% plus the additive attack bonus that I had to run to the wiki to find not to mention the infinitely stacking unit blah blah blah frick the game christ.
I was actually thinking about how dokkan events were designed around using link skills to be able to clear the events that could only be gotten from summonable units or trying to cheese them with an alternate team which still needed a lot of hard to obtain summonable units. The game moved away from that and became way better for it by not just being another "a gacha game with gacha gameplay". Now we've gone full circle where events are designed around using specific premier units or cheesing it with hard to obtain units you also need to have already gotten from summons. It's basically back to year 1 again at this point with the same way of implementing "difficulty", "diversity" in team comps, and the same cope people were using back then to claim that the events aren't stupid bullshit. I mean Orange Piccolo feels like as much of a game changer as the god leads and str gogeta did back then. It's full circle
the game undoutably peaked during the run between 4th anniversary and 7th anniversary.
the 7th year anniversary power creep w/ red zone and 200% leads absolutely buttfricked the game. and that's not even taking into account the p2w events where you basically need the most currently available LRs to beat them since they have double advantaged with damage reduction and higher damage output baked into the event itself.
between all that and then you get these random new units or EZAs that would be mediocre during the 6th year anniversary and are DOA on current dokkan, and it's just not entertaining anymore. probably doesn't help that i've completed every bit of content the game has other than a couple of red zone missions at this point, and those are practically impossible without specific units at specific HiPo with very specific RNG rotations.
I agree with you anon, I think the bad decisions are here to stay which is sad considering I really liked the game, how many stones they used to give out, the nonsense of frickups. But between this and the fact that global just feels like eating out a free use prostitute at an orgy leaves me bitter and none of the new units feel like they'll remotely last because you know that an event coming in like a month or two is gonna put it dead in the ground and render it medal farming fodder. I hate koto and that legends lead.

The new PHY Vegerot EZA has 80% DR against normals and can get up to 400k defense fully built up. Only a super attack will kill him, like the rest of the game, but he'll age well when nothing in the current meta can survive normals in 2 years.

Personally, aside from the obvious stat bump I'm expecting that Goku&Vegeta get the 30% dodge and crit chance the 3rd annis have while SV could receive some well deserved damage reduction (hopefully NOT only against punches lmao), a free additional Super Attack when reaching 24 Ki and some more things to his 10 turn buff like additional Atk&Def, +20% Crit chance and or more DR.
Stats on getting hit like this SV EZA wouldn't hurt either.
I think the extra crit and DR is guaranteed since they gave Gohan and Cell extra new abilities from nowhere like the guard and DR respectively. Adding those extra abilities to SV's 10 turn buff is a really good idea being much more cohesive to his kit and there's enough of a precedent now for me to think it could happen.
They need to stack as much as possible, but that's just not viable for short stages like MCC where they die in base but can tank normals post super after fusing. A good rule of thumb is to transform them at the halfway point in a stage.
This just means LR Vegito's eza is gonna be better than LR Buuhan's...right?

But keeping them in base after their 7 turns buff has expired is dangerous, they take an hefty stat and ki loss.
To be fair, one of the last Cell Saga Gohan units had Guard (DEF STR Goku/Gohan).
Cell's damage reduction is more out of the field, but it works really well with his original ki gathering gimmick and somewhat covers the downside that he gets the additional stats only when attacking.

I was wondering if this would end up being the case. They obviously have way better synergy with other teams but I don't know if piccolo's stats can be so easily overcome.
This one's a really interesting debate. Piccolo builds up instantly and is covered by guard while LR SS3/2 starts with nothing but eclipses him at turn 7, and LR base/SS4 is somewhere in the middle.
Then with the active/standbys, Orange is very RNG dependent to be good while Z Genki Dama is the pinnacle of tanking/nuking and GT is bar none the best support in the game with a much easier to build nuke.
Overall, I'd say Piccolo comes out far on top in short events exclusively, SS3/2 come out far on top in long events exclusively, and GT are the king of medium events, which is the meta right now making them the best at the moment.
Despite his stats, Piccolo has no built in additionals or crits (outside Giant obviously) unlike the 8th years and the latter can be very capable defensively too. Piccolo only really shits on them in terms of slot 1 capability.
Slot one capability's pretty important, so that's a good place to shit on them in.
It is, but they have several good slot 1 options on their teams including Piccolo, so it doesn't end up making much difference.
They're doing sub-EZAs and saving Baby for the Baby/SS3 GT DDF. The others are too recent like you said and str GT Goku is the perfect partner for the LR, sharing the same animation source and 6 (SIX) links.

God Goku and God Vegeta should have been sub-EZAs on AGL Gogeta's stage but they got their own stage nearly an entire year before him. They'll break the rules of how EZAs work if they feel like, it's just most of the time they don't because they're stingy with how many free stones they give out. If they wanted to give sub-EZAs their own stages all the time, they'd either have to decrease the amount of stones you get from it or just not release EZAs as regularly.
Of the 8 ezas last year only two of them were DBS Broly related. It's possible we could just get Baby and maybe Gogeta eza'd, and that'll be it

Most of its f2p units are already EZAd and not very good, PTP Yamcha is pretty much the only exception, and they don't come out THAT often otherwise. Bigger problem also is that unlike the previous 2 units that could have been buffs for the category end up as joined forces units of Krillin & someone else meaning that Earthlings will get no support if there's an alternative or will be an exclusive support for characters not on the team (bio-broly krillin is a good example)

Can't disagree enough. Unlike units like eza agl golden frieza or the eza str ssj3 vegeta who aged like fine wines, vegito can't take a super. He was DoA on release
He doesn't need to in order to tank well down the line. SV has little value right now because all good units are expected to tank normals, but that's already beginning to change thanks to health finally starting to scale properly with atk and def after 7th anni.
With 700k+ health, 50k normals and 500k supers aren't the instant death sentences they used to be, so they can afford to give enemies higher normal atk stats which not everyone will tank and SV will begin to show his true value. They could double Cell Max's value and he would still tank for double digits with type disadvantage.

how do you even set up a good auto clicker? Even without stamina refilling being a factor, I still can't get the timing right because it varies every stage. Load times are different, the amount of time the AI takes to beat the stage no matter how straightforward and easy it is is always different, there are just too many variables. I don't see how it's more efficient to have another battery draining app that you constantly have to babysit on top an existing one.

Recoome and Guldo are more important, but the damage Burter and Jeice bring is essential since the team is always banking on Ginyu doing all the work against bosses before all the other squishy units get tapped.

Yamcha is ironically what people were talking about with ginyu. Incredible leaderskill and unit but he doesn't work well with the category he leads. Ginyu actually worked well with a pure ginyu force team but yamcha doesn't get the luxury of a full Z-fighter team. Seriously the link is actually pretty decent we need more units to make Yamcha flourish

What kind of repeatable content can they add? Most challenges, especially category stuff, are just one and done and then those units rot in your box.
There are literally dozens maybe hundreds of category missions missing from the lge/lve that need to be added first. Some categories are still so shitty that it'd take a few days. If you want "repeatable content" the closest you'd get would probably be something like beating cell max/one of the red zone stages with a random condition attached to it that changes everyday

but there desperately needs to be weekly and/or monthly mission updates for events like fighting legend or red zone
like beat stage with X category team or in a certain amount of turns or whatever and be rewarded in stones for completing it

Clearing up my last missions on global in preparation for Anni and I'm still having issues with the GT Legendary Goku Rep 7 team mission.
It's not hard per say but they're getting taken out easy too easily, this category has aged like milk which is surprising since it feels like yesterday that we had the USS anniversary.

Looking at the past years, the DFEs released at the end of the year in JP are usually returning during the Golden Week celebration, which is at the end of the following April.
This time Global also got them at the end of the previous year, instead of after the Saiyan Day celebration, so Piccolo and Gohan may come back by then in Global too.
BUT it's the first time that the New Year's Dokkanfest are LRs instead of just TURs, so I wouldn't put it past the devs to hold them back on both servers until the Worldwide Celebration at the end of August.

Hardest events in the game are cell max, cell max red zone, gamma 1 and 2, Metal cooler core and esbr. All can do 1m supers straight of the bat or only give you 2 turns of build up. GT duo have DR which is kinda helpful and possibly the easiest revive ever, while with the Z duo you have to build them up
I would only say they're better because of the 80% support. You lose a minimum of 1 turn and possibly frick up your rotation for buu duo spirit bomb. I don't know the actual numbers the spirit bomb does so I can't say if it's worth losing the one turn, but GT is vastly more flexible.

A relatively short movie that covers the broad strokes of OG Dragon Ball all the way until Piccolo would have been perfect for the time. This was right around when DBZ Kai started airing in America and a whole new generation was getting into Dragon Ball for the first time. Having something there to get kids quickly caught up to the beginning of Z and more interested in the series was a very good idea. It's just the execution was just downright moronic. All they needed was someone that actually cared even a little bit about the source material at the helm and it could've at least been an average flick.

He's got a good start of turn attack buff with an easy to get multiplicative boost. Good extra boosts in his dodging/critical chance still, great super attack effects, and great ki in passive. I have a feeling he's going to impress and surprise a lot of people in showcases.

GT is easily full crit while Z is more like 15 crit and the rest add. At free dupe however, it's best to give them both whichever of the 2 they lack so maximize potential.

cooler has to get hit to build up, without dying. goku builds it by attacking while dodging, and starts building before being attacked.

Most players are idiots, but that doesn't have much of an effect on the game. Cell Max was easily cheesed including most missions the moment he had category weaknesses added, and there was cheese even before that with units who have garbage defense like SSBE and Paikuhan.

From what I saw they're a breath short from the real top units, but mainly because the ones that stands at the top are both great leaders and great slot 1 characters from the start (which is obviously the best thing that could happen for a lead).
Basically, if I want to play V&T then I absolutely want 2 of them, but if I want to play a 8th anni LR then I'm fine with only one copy of one of them.

Why are so many people complaining about the art and animations being "too accurate" to the source material now? A lot of the complaints seem to be over Vegeta, do you just not like the way Vegeta looks in the series?
Because they used to always fix shit like this, it's good to be accurate, especially with how they handled gt's/z's color pallete but making them on model when theres jank is more aesthetically appealing. Unless you'd like this version of goku instead of the on-model goku/gohan's current active skill.

I want it however Toriyama originally wanted it which is what they have been giving us on every unit that was in the original manga. The anime versions of the Cell and Frieza sagas were actually terribly off-model because of the rushed production. So there is a lot of cleanup that needs to be done in some areas. Buu saga does not have this problem in any areas that aren't anime filler. It's almost a 1:1 recreation of Toriyama's panels. Toriyama's artstyle changed in the Buu saga which some people may not like but that's just how it is, there is nothing to fix.
When you ask for them to fix Vegeta or anyone else that makes a goofy face in the Buu saga, what you're asking for is for them to basically make a brand new fanfiction animation.
If you want it like this, then I guess you're satisfied.
Yeah, I went to find the page and within 3 chapters I found a bunch of fricked up clearly rushed faces and head shapes aside from the super extendo mouth. I think it's just better when they fix the slightly weird ones but it's all up to opinion, especially when certain panels weren't really meant for motion (z duo vegeta's standby shovel face, for one)
I wish they'd be even more accurate to the manga. I was actually hoping they'd have Vegeta go Super Saiyan when Babidi takes over unlike last time they did this scene. I should've learned after they redid the Father Son Kamehameha twice and neither of them had Goku in base form.

50% support for Goku Family and if you run full AA on him he does fairly well defense wise so long as you baby sit him for a couple of turns and let him stack a bit.
Xeno Full Power 4 sucks because he's reliant on Heroes/Vegeta units to get his full passive
Xeno SS3 is mediocre without the extra DR and DEF from the Heroes part of his passive as well, although he does have unconditional guard all. But by turn 5 Xeno SS1 Goku will out perform him on a purely Goku Family team.
It's just that when I was doing itemless SBR runs with Heroes teams, this Goku felt like one of the worst units there. Dealt no damage and took a lot of it.
He has a high chance to stun and support better units

EZAs have always ranged from "utterly useless and might as well not even exist other than the free stones" to "one of the new best TUR/LR in the game".
It's completely random with no line of logic behind it. Some are randomly utterly god tier at their release like LR AGL Gohan or STR Cooler, some are randomly utterly dogshit tier like TEQ Golden Frieza. Most are mediocre and at best give you a boost to help out with an SBR/ESBR stage or LGTE/LVE mission.

Their stats are pretty similar. The only real differences are Godku's evasion/crit chance compared to Blackmasu's healing and potential extra 10% def with 2 additional supers in a row.
He's allergic to strategy and just wants to play on God Mode.
You're conveniently ignoring Blacks unconditional 3turn block+50% def which lets him take the 4 hits he needs to stack his passive to 120% defense with ease.

Godku should've had more base defence great stack in both 12ki and 18ki and at the very least an attack lower. He's not going to see any play by the end of the 2023 and they entire fricking spectacle is pointless as usual.

I kinda feel like they don't even realize how bad they've power crept the game. It feels like with some of these units, they are designed not with Red Zone or the Cell Max event in mind.
PHY Super Vegito is the greatest example of that. A comparison has been done with the EZA Great Saiyaman 3 and EZA PHY Vegito and it looks like the former is MUCH better than PHY Vegito. This should definitely not be the case, which is why I think they aren't overlooking this properly.

The power creep from Y7 has irreversibly ruined the game. 500k defense isn't enough to get by anymore unless they have guard AND damage reduction, because certain end game bosses hit for over a million damage on super attacks.
And with limited number of attempts on those end game events, you don't want to lose a run just because the 1 character on your team that has ONLY 500k defense gets lined up for a super that still hits them for over 750k damage.
It's incredibly stupid, but it's the way the game is now designed, which is why most new units are mediocre to disappointing when revealed.

Objecting to something I didn't say isn't replying to my point, so I'll try making myself more clear. The point is in the value of tanking normals, which has been historically valuable throughout Dokkan's lifespan save for the last year with Red Zone.
A perfect example is SV's agl counterpart, who survived GoD event powercreep and even now is still capable of surviving in the toughest Red Zones. No shit he has a glaring weakness, but it's chance whether or not he dies just like any other unit getting supered in the wrong slot. phy is actually even in better shape than this since 400k defense is enough to tank supers with a Whis.

Maybe things will progress with the new Shadow Dragon challenge event, but this is where it's at right now.

Before even bringing up examples and scenarios, I prefaced with the fact that Dokkan has historically not allowed the vast majority of units to take double digits from normals regardless of the change in meta, Red Zone being the outlier. This is at the core of my premise and what you should be arguing against if you think my premise in itself is shit.
Based on every meta shift in this game and even a peek into the future with Cell Max, a lot of units that were regarded as useful fell off and it took time to bridge the gap. What makes phy SV unique is that he has the nasty combo of passive defense and high DR to shrug off any future shift short of normals hitting for 3-4 fricking times what they do now, allowing him to slip through multiple Red Zone tier filters down the line.
tl;dr: Dokkan making the vast majority of its units irrelevant in one fell swoop is a consistent pattern and phy SV is capable of thriving the next 2 or 3 times this happens at minimum.

he's already irrelevant. surviving normals isn't thriving, it's the bare minimum. it doesn't make you relevant on its own. just means he'll continue to be irrelevant as units and ezas come out who can do the bare minimum and more. there is no scenario where phy vegito will still see use if the game gets to a point that powercreeps the many units better than him.

Look past this one fraction of the game's lifespan. It was an accomplishment during the Dokkan Event meta, the Boss Rush meta, the SBR meta, the Legendary Event meta, the ESBR meta, and the GoD event meta.
Literally the second the cycle refreshes itself, you'll be hard pressed to find units in your box that won't instantly die in 1 or 2 hits and will inevitably rely on phy SV.

Let's actually take a look then. With Metal Cooler Core for example for one of this year's hardest events, the peak of attack has become over 500k on normals and over 1.5 million on supers, and this is by the 5th turn, so your window to build up isn't very large.
With 500k defense as a modern standard (unless you want to object to that), units are taking over 100k per hit type neutral opposite class or 70k same class. The numbers only even out to tanking potential once you use an item, at which point SV becomes a fair option anyway.
If they add even 100k atk to where they're at right now, that becomes 270k opposite class/170k same class, so absolutely impossible to manage. This is not unrealistic either since peak normal attack jumped by over 100k between 7th anni and WWC 2022.
if you're using items then sv is even more useless. you're vastly increasing your pool of usable units. shit my ribrianne tanked mcc with whis, because i needed int filler. that doesn't make ribrianne not shit.
mcc already has excessive damage designed for fast clears before whis runs out, or running top tier tanks. a 100k increase would not invalidate either of these, unless it's in an extended fight where phy sv would frick you over anyway.
The item is just if you want to ignore the inflated damage you'd otherwise take, and SV would have the opposite effect once it runs out by tanking normals where no one else can. If not, you can forget the entire line of thought and the damage will stand on its own.

It's not as if he's the only fight with that kind of stat. Cell Max is only slightly weaker and couldn't be rushed for a while after release.
Metal Cooler and the Gammas are at 450k which is borderline and take time with most team comps on top of having difficult previous phases you may have to use an item on. also significant about it is that they'd give the same normal stat to them as a much faster final fight like Omega.
the point is to kill during whis, or get in kill range. sv would have the effect of doing no damage and wasting your whis time, after which you'll die anyway without a real slot 1. he's filler, same as any other filler in that situation, except other filler might provide support or damage.

goten and trunks are better used on majin vegeta's team but they need to attack before their passive kicks in. Agl 17 is ok on androids but we there's no pure 200% andoird lead yet.
LR Cooler is really good, but honestly only at 1dupe+ and lvl10 links since he's reliant on crits. Also you kinda need LR Golden Frieza to sit in slot one in one of his rotations in events AGL GF is banned.
Goku and Vegeta are pretty bad but they do pretty decent damage and can kinda hold their own if not getting supered. Their team is really good though and opens more options for movie heroes setups.

I wish I knew they were going to tribute the Kai opening of all things, I probably would have skipped part 1 entirely. The only thing I'm more nostalgic for than GT is Kai. That is where the journey started for me and a lot other DB fans, good to see it get an LR and to have the OP in the game. The English version of that OP played so much on the TV in our living room that even my mom knows it by heart and can remember it over 15 years later.
They released Extreme units in the anniversary just a few times and every single time those were some of the worst performing banners in Dokkan History. Think about that when you ask why they don't do it anymore unless it's a Vegeta to pair with a Goku.
