Am I wrong in thinking they typically split this celebration up in past years and the part 2 LR usually arrives in January? Then we get that halloween banner which lead us into the November banner which will probably be super trunks and then heroes which leads into tanabata which leads into Christmas then new year.
Thinking about the sync, given that they've given us no further information on it this celebration I seriously doubt a joint anniversary is happening now. yeah I know they need to be rainbow to be usable. my point still stands. even at rainbow 14k attack and 9k defence is still pretty damn bad, especially that defence. 35% damage reduction isn't going to cut it any more than 30% cut it for trunks who also had a much higher defence stat.

Team building for them seems a bit hard since siblings bond is a dead category, the 17 and 18 sub ezas would have to be insane for their team to be slightly viable atm. I honestly thought bulma was on sibling bond. Also assuming MUI Goku ezas in the 9th anni they might be a bit of a sleeper unit. I do think their kit looks good but maybe could've done with being

i.e. the intro for this unit is fun, I like when they hammed it up in Super for this fight. I would want Turles because his SA is one of the most brutal moments during the Z run. Etc. etc. Plenty of reasons to want the thing that aren't clearing the newest red zone itemless for the 8th time for no reward.
If you're meta gayging, literally skip every celebration except anniversary and DLC. Why care about any unit until those come around?

It's not, I just don't understand. No game breaking unit will release outside of a major celebration. What was the last stand alone TUR that people actually felt was a must roll? Ginyu? You could say the Gammas that dropped a year ago were pretty insane. Every other relevant unit has been a DDF for the last 2, going on 3 years.

For gold & silver slots, a 5 SA boost is better than a 600 or less attack boost. 700+ and the attack boost is better. But in bronze even a 300+ attack is better than a 2 SA boost.
Those Universe 2 cosplayer guys getting added as a banner unit makes me hopeful we might get more Tournament of Power characters in Dokkan. Honestly even if you get it wrong changing his HiPo is free. Anyway it's go all additional and throw the rest in dodge. He has a high chance to crit in his niche circumstance in his passive
It's different for any unit, a unit like LR Cooler will do best with lots of crits since he already does like 3-4 additionals a turn. A unit like INT Majunior already has super effective against all types and needs to be hit so you can't dodge, so the only other option is additional. A unit like the AGL and TEQ Golden Friezas serves no other purpose than to be a slot 1 defense unit so dodge is best for them
As a rule I specialize them in their niche rather than try and cover their weaknesses with hidden potential. Like for example if they get guaranteed crits but only against a certain enemy, I'll still give them full additional because I'd rather they be as good as possible in that situation than just decent for general use. If they're really good defensively I'd rather build them even more defensively in their hidden potential than try and turn them into a mediocre damage dealer. Etcetera. >slot 2 unit that greatly raises def on super >50% chance to crit against specific enemy type
Full additional and the rest in dodge for this guy. F2P units' job in this game is just to fill a slot on your team and not get you killed from shitty defense
Some things to consider >Cards that stack defense for 3 or 6 turns you always give full additional because that effect is super strong >If you're going to use a unit specifically to tank slot 1 attacks then dodge is the way to go >If a unit gets 50% or higher built in crit chance, or super effective against all types, you're pretty much always better off giving them additionals >Characters that have built in additional attacks get a chance to proc their hidden potential additional with each attack that they do (just more chances to get it, you still only get 1 per turn), so you can keep that in mind when considering how to split Crit and AA

Android 13 is absolute cancer because of his transformation not being an active skill.
He's an Android support unit that will transform if he has Android category characters and yet upon transforming he needs Target Goku allies.
So he can't even be good enough to be a floater support, but in order to make him work you have to limit the team to characters in both Android and Target Goku.
I mean it's the same thing that happens with the new int future gohan eza. he has a 50% support in based but then auto transforms and loses it but he's a way better unit

What LR is that for? Anyway super strike 16 is easy to farm, you can use green keys even. You get the 17 and 18 medals by using them in dokkan events 45 times.

Fusion Zamasu has a normal of 700k he gets a 30% increase to 910k after super. I actually forgot that he does more damage to super units. So that would increase by 15% up to 1.046m normals against super units. I'm bored now so summon for the shitter unit if you want.

I've been enjoying this one. Jackie is an excellent eza and can still hang in there. Haven't had too much trouble with any of the content so far, aside from bad opening rotations.

The restrictions on units just isn't fun. Most encounters just end right before or right when you get their full power so you don't even really use it much (Domain, VB fusion etc).
Int GB EZA being shit really sucks.

The Part 3 EZAs were shit. LR Rose left me with a bittersweet taste.
Not enough F2P characters and not enough events that matched the teams that were released.
We're two years into redzone style content and we haven't gotten something for hard fights for super class characters or longer fights.

Personally I liked the Vegito stage a lot, he hits hard but you can use units that lower attack and try different teams because of that.

Yes when you take the rock, the paper and the scissors out of Paper, Scissors and Rock it is indeed over

EZAs 5/10, half are good
Content 5/10, RZs are too samey, event is whatever
Rewards 4/10, usual stones(?), no gfssr tickets, bad f2ps, good support memories, okay growth events
Effective against all types is ×1.5 damage to everyone. Cancel guard makes it so the enemy takes at minimum type neutral damage (×1.0) from any type/class and lasts for that whole turn so other units on rotation can benefit from it.
I do like that dokkan has began going a bit looser with support. It's honestly the best method of bringibg units back to life rather than waiting 2 or 3 years for an eza or unit release. Like if you added an 80% atk and def unit to LR Cooler team then I'd say it would be viable again
I think it's the EZA Teq Trunks in his sword of hope form and with bulma active
LR SS2 Gohan transformed with a Goku is probably there too
SSBKK hits higher numbers in his spirt bomb turn typically
Overall I'd say Majunior with his active and giant in the same turn would hit harder and Orange Piccolo in giant form + turn probably does more damage overall

I'm just another random person but never summon for dupes. Once you pull a copy of every good unit on the banner stop summoning. Even consider stopping if there's only one unit left you don't have. Summoning for dupes is how you start spending money and that's just a waste.
Don't listen to this guy. Summon for a dupe on good units over a single copy of mid tiera. You're better off with a 69% GT duo than a 55% GT and Z dduo. And focus on your good teams, i.e. if you happen to pull a lot of super hero units and dupes, invest in super hero units in the future.
People actually think the anniversary will be ToP themed? 6th anniversary was the 2nd worst grossing anniversary and kicked off one of the least profitable years in dokkan history. It will be fusions.
Carnival banners are 100x times better than legendary summons. Like if I had to say I'd wager the average player doesn't even have 500 gold coins.

The funniest thing about these arguments is that the average player most likely did not (read as SHOULD NOT) have had 500 gold coins by the time last year's WWC came about so in my mind I can't comprehend the hatred for carnival banners or the outrage about gold coins becoming actually obselete for all players who aren't whales. Like if you're at 300 to 400 gold coins then summon passively on gold coins until you hit 500 and then stop, what's the issue there? They've also just introduced a feature that makes doing that more appealing. In my mind all the carnival banner did was give f2p or dolphins a healthier banner structure to summon on.

It is a healthier banner structure I agree, but for the 14th time, this does not warrant another coin. Let’s take the part 2 banners for WWC this year for example, if Gohan and Trunks banners, animations, and kits were the exact same but teal coins never existed, and gave you yellow coins instead, what would change? People wouldn’t magically summon less for these units, and if anything would summon more for them. Gold coin banners are shit and I have never summoned on them myself, but that doesn’t mean a new coin should replace them entirely. I've actually argued the opposite, I feel teal coins have overall been a healthy change for those who aren't in morons or whales. I've also stated why I don't feel making gold coin banner carnival like would be beneficial to the game in the long run.
But that being said they are a business, greed is to be expected but being outraged at something that is overall a positive change is maddening to me. It doesn't matter though, we had this argument last year and honestly I thought people by the end where just more annoyed about the split banner but it feels this is going to be reoccurring brain rot after every anniversary and WWC.

I don't even see this particular unit being overpowered if they had guard and damage reduction. It'd help their survivability and teq Zamasu's team as a whole. Then look at EZA STR Jiren and how he's just complete dogshit in non-SBR content.
Teq Gohan is proof that a fricking overpowered unit can be released with little to no complaints.
I'm not saying every unit needs to be like Teq Gohan.
I'm just saying that there's been too many misses in unit's designs this year, but it seems like people are somewhat okay with it. LR AGL SSB Goku and Vegeta's design wouldn't even be over powered if their transformation was just simply get to turn 5 and the active skill can be activated. Super Trunk's base form is fricking godawful but it's at least been mitigated by STR Futurehan.
It's insane to say that people won't roll for new units. As long as they make it so that a unit isn't completely fricking invincible for the rest of the battle, new units will always be chased after.
so you want every new unit to be equal or better than the previous one with basically no flaws? You know what happens when you do that? Powercreep events run rampant and invalidate 99.9% of units to make it hard for the newest guaranteed guard 70% chance to dodge 5 additional supers with built in crit Lord Slug that released the week before anniversary.

I suck at putting out the correct words of what I'm trying to convey here, so please, hear me out.
I'm trying to say, that basically, some of these units are releasing in a unacceptable state. You have to seriously admit, that the state of these units have been subpar, with others like STR Super 17 being flatout unacceptable. STR EZA'd Jiren is a flawed unit, you cannot get anywhere with this unit outside of SBR. I'm not even saying it should be better than Teqhan, I'm just saying that basically, who will want to run him? Who will ever actually use him outside of SBR?
The powercreep is manageable, you're just not seeing it because the devs have made your view of powercreep so narrow that you believe that essentially only units that release on WWC, anniversary, Tanabata, and MAYBE Saiyan day, should be the powercreep units. This line of thinking is how you end up people just saying, "okay, so no other units matter other than these units". It's a sorry state to be in. No one looks at STR Super 17 and thinks, "wow, what a great unit that will help his teams! I'm so glad he's not so much better than any other unit released in 2022!". They look at him and think that he's completely unacceptable and will be power creeped before the year even ends.
I disagree that STR Super 17 should be mediocre. LR INT Tree of Might Goku? Completely acceptable for him to be mediocre. It doesn't hurt his teams that he's mediocre. But STR 17 does hurt that he's mediocre, BECAUSE his teams need the help. Does that make sense??? I completely agree that not every unit needs to be equal or better, but when you put out mediocre or outright flawed units that have a struggling team, that only hurts the game, because it makes it feel like the powercreep is not that manageable. This is a game based around making the best possible teams to take on stages, that's why it matters more for a unit to be as good as possible, without outright being completely and utterly insane of course.
No one wants bad units but going too far in the opposite direction just leads to shit like the Corroded body and mind LGEGT and Special Pose Cell max missions where people just have to wait to pull a unit to complete the mission.
I do wish someone competent was in charge of dokkan 2 year ago but here we are, in a shitty position where powercreep must progress and interesting endgame content is far harder to make.
My argument isn't that they should make objectively bad ezas like goku black which serve zero use in current content, the issue I have is that abilities like guard and giant form are pretty fricking boring and having every unit built like makes the game dull as it forces event to adapt to those units and streamlines unit design and just feels like using items.
The real issue however is how they handled powercreep though. In my mind it should've went from the 6th anni

I personally feel the AoE damage numbers of Omega and CMZ are the biggest mistake they've made so far since it leads to everyone wanting every unit going to be designed slot one going forward. I'd kinda like for them to try and rewind powercreep by disabling guard outright reducing damage reduction.

There's a million options. Just as an example every unit you summon has a randomized bonus to stats/dodge/dr etc and you can swap between the stats for each path unlocked character.

How does LR AGL Golden Frieza's DR work? He starts at 90% and loses 10 each turn. Does that mean every turn he's in (10% DR less every time he's in play) or just every turn (20-30% less depending on if you float him)?

I mean really dogshit unrunnable EZA's, terrible kits, horrendous banner sub units, etc. I'm not even complaining or doomposting, I just genuinely wonder what is the goal of this? I don't see this being a smart financial decision, it's not good for adding gameplay, I really don't know what the thought process is when Dokkan makes blatantly bad decisions. Is this just a inside joke or something?
They never want to make good ezas. They want you to pull for new units. Some ezas have to be good to sell new units, like agl zamasu. The rest can be bad because you already committed and pulled for the unit during the discounts.
Yeah I thought that, but when you go bigger picture it's just very odd. If they want you to pull for banner units (aka spend money), why release bad units and even worse new sub units? It's a very odd business decision or maybe I'm missing something. Despite it's massive success, I really can't pinpoint a formula this team is using, so much inconsistency.
They can't make every unit good or there's too much pressure to summon. Ezas are probably based on what new units they're planning, i.e. there won't be many zamasus so the sub int can be good, there will be plenty of blues so no sense making the sub blue vegetas good, etc.

You can get up to 500 emblems per day from your supporters being selected. I'll gladly give up a couple potential orbs and a few kais for 30+ skill orbs.
If someone doesn't feel like farming than thats on them. Don't go b***hing that the game wants you to use 40 elder kais when it actually gives you a free source that only takes minutes to farm. I only had to use some dozing kais for ape turles ssr and the goku side has been used for like 10+ chain battles. So for me 10 extra equips already for barely any effort or resources.
I think they are finally trying to put effort into quest mode, I guess dragon ball going so long without a new anime made them want to start working on some original stuff

Am I wrong in thinking they typically split this celebration up in past years and the part 2 LR usually arrives in January? Then we get that halloween banner which lead us into the November banner which will probably be super trunks and then heroes which leads into tanabata which leads into Christmas then new year.
Thinking about the sync, given that they've given us no further information on it this celebration I seriously doubt a joint anniversary is happening now. For gold & silver slots, a 5 SA boost is better than a 600 or less attack boost. 700+ and the attack boost is better. But in bronze even a 300+ attack is better than a 2 SA boost.

It's different for any unit, a unit like LR Cooler will do best with lots of crits since he already does like 3-4 additionals a turn. A unit like INT Majunior already has super effective against all types and needs to be hit so you can't dodge, so the only other option is additional. A unit like the AGL and TEQ Golden Friezas serves no other purpose than to be a slot 1 defense unit so dodge is best for them

As a rule I specialize them in their niche rather than try and cover their weaknesses with hidden potential. Like for example if they get guaranteed crits but only against a certain enemy, I'll still give them full additional because I'd rather they be as good as possible in that situation than just decent for general use. If they're really good defensively I'd rather build them even more defensively in their hidden potential than try and turn them into a mediocre damage dealer. Etcetera.

Some things to consider
>Cards that stack defense for 3 or 6 turns you always give full additional because that effect is super strong
>If you're going to use a unit specifically to tank slot 1 attacks then dodge is the way to go
>If a unit gets 50% or higher built in crit chance, or super effective against all types, you're pretty much always better off giving them additionals
>Characters that have built in additional attacks get a chance to proc their hidden potential additional with each attack that they do (just more chances to get it, you still only get 1 per turn), so you can keep that in mind when considering how to split Crit and AA
Generally full dodge is a safe bet.

Fusion Zamasu has a normal of 700k he gets a 30% increase to 910k after super. I actually forgot that he does more damage to super units. So that would increase by 15% up to 1.046m normals against super units. I'm bored now so summon for the shitter unit if you want.

The restrictions on units just isn't fun. Most encounters just end right before or right when you get their full power so you don't even really use it much (Domain, VB fusion etc).
Int GB EZA being shit really sucks.

The Part 3 EZAs were shit. LR Rose left me with a bittersweet taste.
Not enough F2P characters and not enough events that matched the teams that were released.
We're two years into redzone style content and we haven't gotten something for hard fights for super class characters or longer fights.

Effective against all types is ×1.5 damage to everyone. Cancel guard makes it so the enemy takes at minimum type neutral damage (×1.0) from any type/class and lasts for that whole turn so other units on rotation can benefit from it.

I'm just another random person but never summon for dupes. Once you pull a copy of every good unit on the banner stop summoning. Even consider stopping if there's only one unit left you don't have. Summoning for dupes is how you start spending money and that's just a waste.
Don't listen to this guy. Summon for a dupe on good units over a single copy of mid tiera. You're better off with a 69% GT duo than a 55% GT and Z dduo. And focus on your good teams, i.e. if you happen to pull a lot of super hero units and dupes, invest in super hero units in the future.
A new player needs box variety a million times more than dupes. I can clear every non category fight in the game with a 55% team.

I'm just sitting here wondering why that's a problem? Not just with units being released, but also with EZAs. Why is it a problem if EZA'd INT transforming Goku Black is as good as EZA'd AGL Zamasu?
I don't even see this particular unit being overpowered if they had guard and damage reduction. It'd help their survivability and teq Zamasu's team as a whole. Then look at EZA STR Jiren and how he's just complete dogshit in non-SBR content.
Teq Gohan is proof that a fricking overpowered unit can be released with little to no complaints.
If every unit was like teq gohan there would be no challenge in the game.
I'm not saying every unit needs to be like Teq Gohan.
I'm just saying that there's been too many misses in unit's designs this year, but it seems like people are somewhat okay with it. LR AGL SSB Goku and Vegeta's design wouldn't even be over powered if their transformation was just simply get to turn 5 and the active skill can be activated. Super Trunk's base form is fricking godawful but it's at least been mitigated by STR Futurehan.
It's insane to say that people won't roll for new units. As long as they make it so that a unit isn't completely fricking invincible for the rest of the battle, new units will always be chased after.
so you want every new unit to be equal or better than the previous one with basically no flaws? You know what happens when you do that? Powercreep events run rampant and invalidate 99.9% of units to make it hard for the newest guaranteed guard 70% chance to dodge 5 additional supers with built in crit Lord Slug that released the week before anniversary.

I suck at putting out the correct words of what I'm trying to convey here, so please, hear me out.
I'm trying to say, that basically, some of these units are releasing in a unacceptable state. You have to seriously admit, that the state of these units have been subpar, with others like STR Super 17 being flatout unacceptable. STR EZA'd Jiren is a flawed unit, you cannot get anywhere with this unit outside of SBR. I'm not even saying it should be better than Teqhan, I'm just saying that basically, who will want to run him? Who will ever actually use him outside of SBR?
The powercreep is manageable, you're just not seeing it because the devs have made your view of powercreep so narrow that you believe that essentially only units that release on WWC, anniversary, Tanabata, and MAYBE Saiyan day, should be the powercreep units. This line of thinking is how you end up people just saying, "okay, so no other units matter other than these units". It's a sorry state to be in. No one looks at STR Super 17 and thinks, "wow, what a great unit that will help his teams! I'm so glad he's not so much better than any other unit released in 2022!". They look at him and think that he's completely unacceptable and will be power creeped before the year even ends.
I disagree that STR Super 17 should be mediocre. LR INT Tree of Might Goku? Completely acceptable for him to be mediocre. It doesn't hurt his teams that he's mediocre. But STR 17 does hurt that he's mediocre, BECAUSE his teams need the help. Does that make sense??? I completely agree that not every unit needs to be equal or better, but when you put out mediocre or outright flawed units that have a struggling team, that only hurts the game, because it makes it feel like the powercreep is not that manageable. This is a game based around making the best possible teams to take on stages, that's why it matters more for a unit to be as good as possible, without outright being completely and utterly insane of course.
No one wants bad units but going too far in the opposite direction just leads to shit like the Corroded body and mind LGEGT and Special Pose Cell max missions where people just have to wait to pull a unit to complete the mission.
I do wish someone competent was in charge of dokkan 2 year ago but here we are, in a shitty position where powercreep must progress and interesting endgame content is far harder to make.

My argument isn't that they should make objectively bad ezas like goku black which serve zero use in current content, the issue I have is that abilities like guard and giant form are pretty fricking boring and having every unit built like makes the game dull as it forces event to adapt to those units and streamlines unit design and just feels like using items.
The real issue however is how they handled powercreep though. In my mind it should've went from the 6th anni

There's a million options. Just as an example every unit you summon has a randomized bonus to stats/dodge/dr etc and you can swap between the stats for each path unlocked character.

What exactly is the reason for all the bad decisions Dokkan consistently makes? I mean really dogshit unrunnable EZA's, terrible kits, horrendous banner sub units, etc. I'm not even complaining or doomposting, I just genuinely wonder what is the goal of this? I don't see this being a smart financial decision, it's not good for adding gameplay, I really don't know what the thought process is when Dokkan makes blatantly bad decisions. Is this just a inside joke or something?
They never want to make good ezas. They want you to pull for new units. Some ezas have to be good to sell new units, like agl zamasu. The rest can be bad because you already committed and pulled for the unit during the discounts.
Yeah I thought that, but when you go bigger picture it's just very odd. If they want you to pull for banner units (aka spend money), why release bad units and even worse new sub units? It's a very odd business decision or maybe I'm missing something. Despite it's massive success, I really can't pinpoint a formula this team is using, so much inconsistency.
They can't make every unit good or there's too much pressure to summon. Ezas are probably based on what new units they're planning, i.e. there won't be many zamasus so the sub int can be good, there will be plenty of blues so no sense making the sub blue vegetas good, etc.
