The bigger problem is how much cheaper a lot of the animations are. We've gotten maybe 10 major units with smooth, complex animations this year out of like 30.

my issues with Super 17 was he takes to long to get to him since it's turn 5 on and then when you do his damage reduction is limited to 4 turns, he needs to get hit10 times to fully build up his def for no reason when by the time it's built up the fight is over and his super attack nullify/absorb is only if he's below 70% while is scouter has an hp restriction

only part I disagree with is the 4 turns thing, since events are short enough now for it not to matter.

Always assume you're not going to wipe everything in one attack. If you're getting attacked first in the turn, assume it's a super attack. Always always ghost usher or Baba&Moori/Ranfan.

Only now power creep has made 99% of units useless so you have less options and if you are an older player with everything beat you also have less need for stuff.
The only times it was this bad in the past were Broly's Dokkan event and the very beginning of the SBR and LGE metas. Boss Rush 2, most of the LGTE, LVE, and first 30 ESBR stage metas were just right, mainly since they were balanced around the use of items and didn't cuck you with limited attempts.
Casually beating the hardest event in the game in dokkan event pace time while most of the units on the team barely break above 5 million attack stats if even that much... how is this not the number 1 TUR? Is there some other TUR that can bust out triple 15 million crit supers turn 1 while tanking a 2.5 million super for 60k with only 1 super?

Literally the hardest missions in the game currently are beat f.zamasu with time travelers & power beyond super saiyan and omega with final trump card. He makes all these missions childs play. People have to make up hypothetical scenarios to downplay this unit its sad really
There's no FTC heroes team to run him on. Both of those zamasu missions are easy with items, which he used.
Everything is easy with items. Fact is with or without items its even easier with his team than the teams that need multiple LRs, standy gimmicks and revives. The heroes team is dominating the top clear times of every event finish records with 1 unit carrying the entirety of the teams damage output. Really what other better criteras to judge a unit/team than by how fast they can complete an event? So what other TUR does triple 15 million crits and can tank 2-3 million damage turn 1? Oh... there isn't any... except for HIM

Piccolo jr might only do one super and die to the enemy super... this doesnt happen with lb vegito. Wtku has guard turn 1 then often gets you killed the next appearance if he isn't guarding... this doesn't happen with lb vegito. All it takes for godku to fail is not creating enough orbs... vegito just says frick it tanks whatevers coming and in 1-2 turns kills each boss phase. Hirudegarn can match his output turn 3 if you're lucky but still, turn 3 for vegito is often halway through the fight already and even hirudegarn is still vulnerable to attacks. Dragonfist goku can die to NORMAL ATTACKS... this will NEVER happen with lb vegito, even WITHOUT his full passive. Even with a whis dragonfist could get you killed while lb vegito would be invincible. These are the only TURs I would even bother comparing lol the rest this year don't even come close. Hell if you use items LB vegito with a whis is so much better comparatively than the "top 10" turs also with a whis its ridiculous. 70-100% damage reduction and triple 15 million crits... just absolutely stupid. Judging him with half of his passive inactive is about as moronic as judging orange piccolo without a BoM&D ally and his active skill. Then everyone says the rest of his team sucks but half the frickers have guard with near a million defense and black masked king just casually healing back your entire hp pool with every super while tanking like a god.

I judge Omega in a vacuum. At the very least, he ends up with similar stats to LR agl SS Goku with 0-1 GT Bosses and decent links.
Beerus can go most places. He's just a beat stick with good enough post-super def for normals and evasion. Speaking of, I see I forgot phy Beerus now that I think about it, who'd probably go just below Kaioken Blue.
MVP 17 eats shit severely on the first couple turns.
I've been a staunch defender of SV from the start, but Red Zone MZ is what I mean by specific situations. SV doesn't fare as well somewhere that supers a lot like Red Zone Zamasu, and his offense is totally disappointing. What he really needs is a perpetual scouter.

After using int towa in about 100 different challenge runs there is no way she has a 50% chance to dodge. The fricking f2p str towa dodges more than her for me.
There's something weird going on with INT Towa's dodge and SS3 Black's defense post super. He gets destroyed by normals and super attacks, despite the math saying he should have 600k+ defense plus guard after super attacking. I'm starting to think Towa's dodge works like Piccolo/Gohan's damage reduction, where if she falls below 50% HP mid turn, it turns off. That would explain why she just eats shit all the time. Same thing for Black's defense, it gets lowers mid turn the more damage you take, so if your slot 1 or 2 units take a lot of damage, his defense will be pretty low since it will take your team's HP when he attacks, not at the start of the turn.

Stuff like the Saiyan Saga LRs getting non shitter units, and the Super Hero units coming in to finally breath fresh air for the first time in 3 years.
Year 9 has been keyword soup, and literally every DFE barring golden week has been snore inducing.

if you grind quest mode, like stage 31-4, when there's 4x EXP, you could grind from 260 to close to 700 in about a month or two. You can also use that stage to link level and get green and blue gems at the same time.

I think 2023 began the downfall of this game. Over monetized, tons of fricking summons but barely any free stones. its 1200 stones to summon on these step up banners. This is just before they threw 5 different banners at us in the span of a month. And there was practically zero new content that gives out stones. I think this 2024 year will be the games final nail in the coffin. There isn't any new DBZ content being released. The anime wont continue. How many more variations of Goku will people pull for?

Not really, most celebrations where dead including annis and content release was on a drip feed and basically the same as now f2p releases where massively underwhelming.
What I find more frustrating about the omatsu era is that there is potential for it to have been good but they've fricked up the landing of so much. That and instead of actually getting f2p characters there has been virtually none released in 2023 and the release and eza model has persisted.

The vast majority of units didn't have guard, damage reduction, or 7 digit defense stats in the past. It became a thing to compensate for for reducing your item count from 4 to 1. That happened over the course of 2022, and it's been well over a year now since units started being balanced that way, so as a result, item use easily crushes stages now.
The only way to really push teams anymore is to not use items unless they're really borderline like 2022 Heroes was.
