Yeah, I would. I enjoy final fantasy 11. Running around with a couple friends killing monsters while chatting and getting something for it is the highlight of an mmo. It literally will die with ST though. Much like how Avengers Endgame wrapped up the main story of the MCU and nobody cared what came after, the same is true with Endwalker and FFXIV. I actually have 3500 hours exactly. Also had a house and went through all the content that can offer too. pretty meh tbh idk why you people make such a fuss about owning one, it really doesn't offer much in terms of content. The only functionally convenient thing it offers is having your own training dummy and being close to a market board, but you can have all that and more by simply joining an FC. I let my house get demolished and literally laughed outloud when I got the email urging me to log back in to prevent it lmao.

Unpopular Opinion: They should remove the requirement to complete savage difficulty in order to dye Trial gear.

Also remove the "1 coin per week" limit, just make it farmable on day one.
Instead of the reward for savage difficulty be some exclusive mount, the weapon, a title, orchestral piece, and TT card.

the major difference is that ARR items have you doing content like specific leves, dungeons, maps, fates, crafting, desynth, etc. while EW relics are a less specific 'do level 90 stuff' but literally anything at 90 is progress towards it.

Yeah, I would. I enjoy final fantasy 11. Running around with a couple friends killing monsters while chatting and getting something for it is the highlight of an mmo. It is the core experience of every mmo and there's a reason every homosexual isekai makes a point to showcase that as the idealized form of mmo gameplay. That gameplay was a product of its time. That was before social media and Discord invaded all game socialization, and data mined wikis became the expectation over emergent gameplay. It's just not socially feasible anymore. You'd have to nuke Discord, Wikia and the current internet with it.
That gameplay is alive and well in remakes of older mmos. People yearn for that gameplay and community. Just because you cannot resist jumping into a discord to socialize immediately doesn't mean you speak for everyone. Abandoning that concept wholly is why the leading mmos are floundering.

The only zones should be;

Shadowlands had a shitty covenant power system that limited how often you could change out the latest borrowed power system. Players complained, but Hazzikostas said that they couldn't just take it out instantly.

Makes sense honestly, I am some sort of "refugee" since I started something like 4 months before Assmonbald and his morons started playing the game. And yeah, it was fun going through the entire game knowing that when I was done I'd have Endwalkwer. I could see the reality of it in the FC I joined, mother frickers would only log in to do maps and nier raids for glam, there was literally no content for people caught up. And now that I am caught up I simply cancelled my sub and am playing other games. I literally got 3k hours worth of content out of the game, I am good for now, I'll be back in 7.0. I think it's wild people seethe so much that a game has "no content" when the drought hits when they have literal thousands of hours in it lol. JUST GO DO SOMETHING ELSE MORON. GO OUTSIDE, TOUCH GRASS BEFORE 7.0, GO DO ANYTHING!!

The only functionally convenient thing it offers is having your own training dummy and being close to a market board, but you can have all that and more by simply joining an FC. I let my house get demolished and literally laughed outloud when I got the email urging me to log back in to prevent it lmao.

I had one for years and friends would hang out or become roommates and decorate and do crafter/gatherer content together to get pieces to add to it. When you're working together on something and making memories, it becomes something you care about.

Throwing away 8 years of memories is not as easy as that. I get you might think it is but when you have genuine attachment and affection for the memories you've made in a game, it's not so simple. Is it really so hard to just want the game to be better? So I don't have to unsub and lose the house I care about and the memories I made?
I'm with you there I get where you're coming from, but cancelling your sub for a few months isn't gonna delete everything you do. Isn't the demolition only after 4 months? even if it isn't, you can unsub and only sub to save your house then back to not playing the game. you have to show them your insatisfaction with the state of the game somehow. If you just stay there subbed buying everything they put on the store expecting the game to magically change, literally nothing will change. And if you're not having fun right now IMO forcing yourself to log in and be subbed to the game will only tarnish the good memories you've made in it while you hatred for it only grows.

The minimum amount of sub time purchase is 30 day allotments. And they try really hard to get you to do 60 since that's the minimum for game time cards.

Unpopular Opinion: They should remove the requirement to complete savage difficulty in order to dye Trial gear.
In its place, have the requirement be to complete whatever the most recent 24 man is and you trade in whatever coin currency for the dyeable version of that piece.
Also remove the "1 coin per week" limit, just make it farmable on day one.
Instead of the reward for savage difficulty be some exclusive mount, the weapon, a title, orchestral piece, and TT card.
