    Restructure your sentence

I have no idea what you're saying

It's just as I said. Don't you ever once stop caring about needing to make the perfect team and just pick whatever pokemon you like?

it's a simple compound sentence and not that hard to comprehend. did you drop out of elementary school or something?

        >Don't you ever just stop caring about [X] anymore and just pick [X] regardless?
        >This is a correctly structured sentence

I'm an ESL and even I can tell. That "almost" is completely unnecessary, and the double negative makes it harder to parse.

and a regular english speaker that passed the 3rd grade can still understand what OP is saying.
          >NOOOOO OP USED THE WORD “ANYMORE” IN AN UNNECESSARY FASHION!!!111 THIS SENTENCE IS ENTIRELY INCOMPREHENSIBLE AND IS ONE OF THE HARDEST THINGS I’VE EVER HAD TO READ!!1!!!

Yes. "Anymore" implies it's a permanent change to not caring but "don't you ever" asks about a singular event.

So no, I don't actually know what OP was trying to say.

You’re stupid. ESLs make different mistakes compared to non-ESL that only non ESLs can tell.

That's not the only problem with the sentence. Believe me I know, it's just the most objectively wrong part of it.

never cared apart from moves. and also pokemon games are easy as shit, its hilarious for me when i hear a moron wanting the right natures in single player lol

For a casual playthrough I just pick some interesting Pokemon and build around them, trying to incorporate as many as my favorites as possible.
In battle stadium I pick Pokemon that are functional and fun/comfortable to use. There's no point in playing if you're just eating shit all the time.
Entering a competitive context and expecting to perform just with the Pokemon you visually like is stupid. You should go in with the expectations of making new favorites based on how they work.
I never cared for Dusclops for example, but it really earned my respect last gen and now it's a Pokemon I'm fond of.

Considering that hardcore players are the one to b***h about difficulty I don't know why they would bother minmaxing stats

I've never in my life cared about type coverage. I'm playing shield right now and I have 3 bug types and 3 psychic types on my team. I recently did a kanto run with 5 water types on my team. I care more in a challenging game like pokemmo but I still don't go autismo and refuse to run more than one pokemon of the same type on my team the way some do, I just make sure I don't get roadblocked by anything because it'll happen in a game like that.

stats/natures are just fun for me, I like hunting good individuals of the pokemon I want

      >I still don't go autismo and refuse to run more than one pokemon of the same type on my team the way some do
Even competitive teams in tournaments have type overlap nine times out of ten

yeah, I just know zoom zooms that get anxious at the thought of having say a flying/water and a water/ground type on the same team.

I like my in game team to have different pokeballs, genders, natures and IV spread so they all have summaries/descriptions that fit their species/make them unique. Don’t really care for competitive but I like that it adds some variety to your pokes.

    >natures
I try to get neutral or beneficial natures.
    >overlapping types
I try to avoid too much overlap, but I don't stress too hard about it. My most recent Crystal run was Ursaring, Politoed, Steelix, Granbull, Hitmontop, and Azumarill. I once used Linoone, Spinda, and Zangoose all on the same team.
    >and just pick whatever pokemon you want on the team regardless?
I do, but I also know that I can just play the game again later, so I don't need to use all my favorites in a single run.

Why would I care about those things? There's zero reason to bother with any of them when fricking anything beats the game.

    It just doesn't feel good.
When you know, you know. Pokémon is about building and working towards something, and when you know it's inherently permanently flawed in a very public manner from the get-go, it just obliterates motivation.
