Why do people pretend to like Doom Eternal?
Is it just contrarianism and viral marketing, or have Bethesda genuinely tricked people into thinking this game has well designed combat?

i've only played 2016, and Eternal looks like a mechanical improvement over it
Imagine Doom 2016, but every 10 seconds in the middle of fights you have to jump onto walls and slowly crawl around like lara croft/kratos/assassins creed. All the timing and pushing of fights is constantly ruined by new platforming gimmicks. Also no full clip from any gun kills 3 enemies, you have to never ever stop changing weapons

It's easily one of the top 5 FPS of all time but whatever. I have never seen any marketing, watched any youtube videos or read reviews. I formed my opinion and thoroughly enjoyed the game.
