GO Usage Stats Day 1
What league does Go use, I'm guessing Great Ball?
>Knoxville
May want to check your pic
VGC Usage Day 1
Never gonna get used to how small they made Incineroar's portrait to fit in that box.
My wife is so cool and useful
>Hife wife and his daughter are both over 50%
Ariga can't keep getting away with it.
>Ariga
Isn't that the Megaman guy?
nta but yeah. He designed both Flutter Mane (because Misdreavus is his favorite Pokemon) and Ogerpon.
Combined usage Urshifu is less than Flutter Mane but combined Ogerpon is greater
What a Freakshow. Pals look more like pokemon than this shit
Even if the P2 TingLu team is good I don't understand how people have the mental fortitude to subject themselves to 9 rounds of swapping Incineroar in and out over and over
>Open stream
>Leave tabbed for almost a half hour
>Absolutely zero games
>gaps in between streamed games are gonna get even longer due to bulkier balance cores becoming meta and slowing the pace of each round down
joy
I remember seeing at Knoxville how so many teams get rolled by more aggressive play, I’m surprised more hyper offense hasn’t shown up more.
I've taken to just waiting until it's all over and watching the vod since people always leave timestamps in the comments
Yeah Victor was 100% expecting Landorus to Protect there, bad read might've cost him the game.
>Howl
For what fricking purpose, can Goug not OHKO Flutter?
Came in late to the stream, but Gouging Fire likes to run Howl next to Kingambit to boost both Pokemon on the field.
That Landorous must be built bulky as frick on top of good speed investment. Makes sense, Sheer Force+Life Orb is already doing a ton of heavy lifting in terms of damage output
>ptcgradio hosting
hate this lil homie like you wouldn't believe
God the Gen 7 box legendary battle theme sounds so fricking bad. It's a miracle Ultra Necrozma's theme ended up being as godly as it was with what it had to derivate off of.
>Won with all 4 Pokemon not just alive but relatively healthy
Okay I'm a bulky balance believer now
I think the weakness of his team was if he did lose any one of them his bulky balance team would have had a much harder time. I still believe creating an aggressive offensive team will break through these bulky teams that punish passive play.
>that pink girl's hairline
jesus christ
Thats bad karma man
any players get disqualified yet? or are they waiting until tomorrow to check day2 players?
They paid so much to be here, let them have a day of play before getting DQed.
In all seriousness, they probably dont want to bother making serious hack checks on the whole tournament ruj ifnthey can just check all the top cutters whos' results really matter.
Shoutout to the madman that is 8-1 going into Day 2 using Sylveon and Iron Moth
From what I hear Meteor Beam Iron Moth is a scary as shit sidegrade to Glimmora that not a lot of people are teching for, so I'm not surprised. Shocked at Sylveon though, though I guess it blanks Single Strike Urshifu and Raging Bolt pretty hard via resistances and high special bulk.
He's not even using that, it's Heat Wave/Water Tera Blast/Dazzling Gleam/Protect
Oh, wow. Alright then, I hope we get to see a game of his streamed.
I think enough people are aware how to play around Glimmora that Iron Moth might be just an upgrade at this point if you’re running a Power Herb/Meteor Beam set. 110 Base Speed vs Glimmora’s 86 means that with some investment and a Farigiraf partner there’s not much that can stop you from immediately taking a KO with it outside of a lucky Protect call. Hell, run it next to Urshifu to maybe even discourage the Protect.
8-1 and 9-0 teams

I can't understand one of the commentators on the Go streams. It's a pajeet with a really thick accent and his words are slurring together so you can't tell what the hell he's saying.
That and they hilariously have "run out of drops" for the pokemon go promo on Twitch.
fluttersisters... we aren't even second
>Only took two regionals for Firepon to get on the list
LETS GO GARDEVOIR
>Gouging Fire's headpiece gets encased in the Tera Crown
I know it's just a workaround to even get the crown to fit on it's head but it does look really nice
sexo with nekkra
I feel like Eric being so utterly scared of targeting into the Gouging Fire is gonna cost him the set honestly. Because he refused to target into it for any reason he couldn't leverage trying to get it KOd early, so he feels pressured out of Tera Steel'ing Kommo-o even though it probably would've won him the set because of the threat of Heat Crash.
You were right
>Both Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt have proven themselves
>Walking Wake still sitting by the wayside
Honestly sad. It's a shame weather isn't a little better, but at the same time if you're Speed boosting Wake with Sun you might also be Speed boosting Flutter, which is just asking to eat shit without using Tera
Just wait until Groudon and Kyogre are legal. Or Koraidon.
Like the other anon said. Wait for the restricted format. The best sun setters aren’t legal yet in VGC, which is where Walking Wake could see some play.
It's funny how Howl was turned into a team-wide move in Gen 8 probably because they thought it'd be useful in Raids and now here it is in Gen 9 being used at the top level.
It was amazing in gen 8 too. Raikou howling your partner as they dynamaxed and swept was very useful. Always wondered why more people didn't use it. If Zamazenta wasnt shafted or forced into a restricted slot things may have been leagues different.
I feel like Francesco should've hedged his bet on the Sucker Punch honestly, but from that rage it was probably a roll so I can see why he'd shoot for Icicle Crash. RNG is a b***h sometimes unfortunately.
Francesco made the common newbie mistake of missing all his attacks.
You people are so lucky I never enter these things I would sweep the entire competition easily
For sure Mr.Ex-
Champion. By the by, aren't you hungry? Come on, help yourself
Who ya rooting for?
nick
>his Kingambit doesn't have a steel move and misses the Flutter Mane because of it
RIP, it'll be hard to win after that
cant touch urshi either, damn
this gouging fire is fricking hype
Yeah that Florian guy was too passive about it and so it got sweep up late game despite being a lead. That Rillaboom was the best partner for it though.
>TPC "shills" Walking Wake because it's Suicune
>it's the most useless of them
it's a mythical it shouldnt be allowed
It’s only useless because the weather setters are useless. When it gets to play with Koraidon, Kyogre and Groudon it’ll shine
To be honest, I want to see them together
>Lead Torkoal/WW
>either WW holds a Covert Cloak or have an Indeedee on your team
You now one shot Incineroar and half of them don't even consider that.
>Call out the Tera Fairy with a Fake Out
I'm rooting for Nick but I absolutely would not be opposed to Florian winning, he's playing out of his mind
this is a real great back and forth, both deserve it
how do we stop farigiraf
Honestly it's just solidifed itself as perfect for the meta at this point, it'll probably stay on top up until the GS format gets let loose. Two-pronged speed control (Priority denial+Trick Room) on one slot is just too good currently.
Farigiraf is almost solely the reason Ursifu Single Strike has over taken Rapid Strike in usage. That plus non-priority Taunt can shut down most of it's utility unless it's a throat spray set that doesn't mind attacking.
>Was available since Reg A
>Everyone thought it was mid
What the frick happened?
Snarl neuters it. Yes its annoying blocking priority and probably TR but if you just make it very weak it's consuming your opponent's field space just by being out, so give it "all my friends are dead" syndrome
that was a really dominant game, good shit, not that nick did bad at all
GODSALUNA
>two Entei's in the top cut
I'm still a believer in my boy. I hope it can see some more success in future events.
Doesn’t look like there was any DQ’s this time around, just some removed Pokemon. Being a Euro Regional there’s plenty of non-English speakers so it wouldn’t be as known in this neck of the woods if there was.
