nta but we don't know the ethnicity of Dot's Grandpa/Grandma, they could themselves have been a mix of Dark and White skin that produced Dot's Mom, and if Dot's Mom got with a White/Asian guy she'd have the possibility come back out with light skin.
There's also the possibility that she just looks that way, the idea that every child from a dark and light skin pairing will be some flavor of mulatto is just false. The genes that code for skin color aren't that simple and aren't even fully understood as of now iirc.
Genetics are just weird, I've met so many Latinos that look brown but then they've got full-blooded siblings with pale skin and sometimes even blonde hair.
One dark-skinned and one light-skinned grandparent or both are 50/50
Uncle inherits more dark than light
Mom inherits about 50/50
Mom has a kid with light-skinned dad
Kid inherits basically none of the dark skin and spends all day inside
You don't inherit the same levels of melanin just because you're siblings or relatives. I have 2 brothers and a sister and all of us are varying shades of brown with me being outright light skinned.
Probably bleached.
Look at the mother, she is soft brown. And her kid is white.
The father genes overwrote the mothers. Sorry, but this isn't Pokémon breeding, is human breeding. Works completely different.

I am white with a black uncle, so this is not at all unusual. My brown grandmother had my mom with a white man, they then divorced and my grandmother remarried a black man and had a black boy (my uncle) with him. When my mom grew up she married a white man and had me. So although I am white, I am biologically related to my black uncle, since my biological grandmother on my mother’s side is my black uncle’s biological mother.
Family reunions are funny af, looks like a goddamn rainbow
Yes, I am a NEET and I'm pale as frick.
That or mom got BLEACHED
That's not how it works, they would just be a lighter brown then. Whiteness is a recessive trait just like blue eyes.

Apparently so.
Where are Yakko and Wakko?
Not enough sun. Happened to me.

Typical American doesn't know how genetics work - probably cause you're all inbred over there.
He father is likely white.
I mean... kinda?
You spend entire days in dark room doing absolutely nothing.
Do they know their daughter is terminally gay?
i'm gay for her uncle

>mother is named Blanca
>less white than her daughter
Brock has dark skin but his mother has fair skin.
>Uncle has a Rockruff
>Mom has a Midnight Lycanroc
So are they from Alola?
Dot's dad must be white-white.
It's probably like Lenora's husband's situation.
Holy shit a Pokémon family where they don't all look like clones of each other
I want to be Dot's stepdad
