You must be moronic because I don't remember that being the case at all.
The game was grindy as frick as overhyped as all hell by Ganker but don't compound the disingenuous-ness.
okay well I'm sorry your experience doesn't line up with mine but that's what happened
I'm gonna try the gamecube version because it still doesn't seem right
>I'm gonna try the gamecube version
Be sure to get PSO Episode I & II, not PSO Episode III that has vastly different gameplay.
Filtered
guess so
skill issue
okay so the speed is normal
yeah I think I'll play something else
FRICKING homosexual AHAHAHA
If you're being serious, it's just a bug with that quest. No idea why it happens, and there seems to be nothing about it on the Ephinea forums.
Or if you just want a PSO thread, carry on
oh then maybe I'll try another quest
no shit it's sped up but it's not sped up nearly as much as you seem to think it is
I think enemy movement speed is tied to fps, try playing at the intended framerate of 24-30fps
Are people unable to see this is speed up? Look at his idle pose and the gate lights, they're much faster.
Original video:
sounds like you loaded up the hardest difficulty, which normally you can't play in until you beat the other 3
well then I don't know how I would have loaded up the hardest difficulty because I selected normal
I was Hunter
maybe this
if the enemies look different from
and are bigger/uglier then you are on ultimate
that was the enemy in question
like I said they were much faster than us
The enemies in Normal mode are slow as frick, so I'm not sure what you did if they were super fast.
Here's a video of a Normal mode quest: https://youtu.be/SYx8OzBQfq0?t=491
That video showed is one of quest on solo mode. You can access and play missions by creating room with one person mode.
There's solo mode on PSO that is even easier. I believe you picked mode that is normally meant to play with others.
yeah I picked the mode meant to be played with others because I was playing with others
Wait what
Was this also in the original game for the Dreamcast? Frick me I gave up on this game after one playthrough
ah, nevermind it's by leveling. And yes you notice them getting speedier.
The game has 4 difficulty levels, but you aren't supposed to be able to play the higher ones until you reach a certain level. Normal is available from the start, Hard requires you to be Lv20, VHard requires Lv40, and Ultimate requires Lv80. Unless they're playing some weird server with custom settings, they should only be able to play Normal mode if they just started.
Was OP the host of the room? That might have something to do with the difficulty select too.
Yeah it came back to me. The monsters are extremelly slugish at the start of the game. Funny though, I found that overlevelling in this game was quite easy and the monster scalling couldn't keep up with you at all. And this is without counting mag upgrades.
Were you all playing Forces or what? Forest is piss easy as a Hunter or Ranger.
The frick are you talking about the enemies are slow as dick in the forest
Thread theme:
I've been playing the Xbox servers on Insignia.
There's the normal story mode and there's launchable quests. The launchable ones are sometimes scaled up custom made nerd quests and much more difficult with stat boosted enemies.
If you're really still struggling and moronic, get a few photon drops and trade it to someone for a completed mag.
But if that's not the case... I mean there's timing and interrupt and you could be clinically moronic I guess
yeah I'm seeing a completely different speed here from what I played but whatever, guess I'm just moronic for selecting the first quest on normal
You’re not moronic for not understanding weird situations arising from playing your first time on a custom server with custom content, but you are moronic for rushing here to b***h about something you don’t understand.
Glad we could help.
wouldn't call something from three days ago a rush but whatever, sorry for asking I guess?
I'm not a fan of dark souls by any stretch of the imagination, not sure why you feel the need to strawman
correction: four days
my mistake
Seriously OP. Start and room then go start story mode. You gotta go talk to the lady in the room with the president/whatever he is. I think the story quests are literally called 'Government 1-1' 1-2, etc
I dunno OP I just loaded up ephinia and a normal mode lobby (not solo) and it seems fine to me.
It's only on a particular quest that it happens. I forgot which one.
Little sexy FOmarl
i can't handle this speed, i'm going back to dark souls
OK boomas, no one cares about your old-ass console mmo
God damn you are a whiny b***h.
Literally every day we have some underage c**t come in here to stamp and pout about not being able to hop on the bandwagon for some old game and then proceed to claim it's trash and everyone who likes it is a moronic boomer or whatever.
I don't feel like I did any of that in this thread so I dunno what you're getting so uppity about. You can reply to me directly by the way, a (you) isn't an upvote.
Must have talked to the wrong mission provider, I'll give this a shot.
nah bro you totally insulted the quality of my favorite game, I can't just let that slide!
You likely spoke to the Hunter's Guild mission person since it actually starts you off in that room on Ephinea after you create a room. not sure if that's a server thing or PSO Blue Burst thing. The one I always played, Ver.2, would start you off in the pres' room
ahhhhh okay, yeah that's definitely who I talked to
You only start off in the president's room the first time you load into single-player. Every time after that, you start in the Hunter's Guild. It has been that way since the original release on Dreamcast.
>Literally every day we have some underage c**t come in here to stamp and pout about not being able to hop on the bandwagon for some old game and then proceed to claim it's trash and everyone who likes it is a moronic boomer or whatever.
No him but when you make an ironic low quality post in a sea of shitposts, yours just blends in and may as well be the same shit. This is basically just rushing to Ganker to ask dumb questions that could have been answered with 12 more mins of gameplay.
Yeah we played it for about an hour four days ago, again I wouldn't call that rushing to Ganker but we apparently have different opinions on what that word meeans. But that's irrelevant because either way you people only reply to low quality OP posts these days whether they're ironic or not so I do what I have to do to get a thread going. Can you honestly say you would have opened this thread otherwise?
Okay cool, that's the version I downloaded.
What exactly did people do online in this game? Did the campaign mode changed anything during multiplayer? Because that shit was barelly even any challenge for just one person, I can only imagine how easy it was to clear the maps with a team.
Enemies were slightly stronger in the online mode to compensate for having more players, but it's essentially the same game just with other people. Basically you just run dungeons, grind XP, and get loot.
is there a way to install and get it running on steam deck?
Yeah. Blue Burst sucks. The balancing is shit. Play it on GameCube.
