Logain right hand right?...
Been years since I played Origins. But I recall that bitch being ridiculously hard.
Are her stats the same for both fights? The first one is fucking impossible, the one right be re the trial is a cakewalk
No they're different if I remember correctly. But I just coerced with her to stand down when at the Landsmeet.
They made the first one hard on purpose because you were supposed to “lose” and let your party do something useful and save you. Its the same thing with Obsidian trying to make it hard to take the gold bars out of the vault. The devs try to assert a message but completely underestimate the stubborness of the person playing it.
Not really since you can beat her or talk her down. You are rewarded for being strong or charismatic.
Whereas all the gold bars are only obtainable through cheese like stuffing them all in a body part and dragging it to the exit.
She has like 8 dudes with her the first time, the second fight she's alone.
Even then, I think she still has lower stats than in the initial confrontation.
But the werewolves
Dragon Age has no fucking identity. With Inquisition all it was trying to do was push fags and blacks and ugly people to the forefront.
>Look at our series about magic and olden-time shit! Look at all of the minorities in this european-inspired landscape!
Meanwhile you get shit like Wheel of Time, Witcher and Dungeons & Dragons fucking RUINING Dragon Age's bread and butter. They truly do not have a means of standing out from the rest of the competition and it's the one thing keeping me from being hype. I mean Inquisition was alright and with Andromeda being so shit it's like the last thing I'm holding on to because I still want payback for Mass Effect 3's ending. But unless Dragon Age does something truly unique to stand out gameplay wise where they don't fucking rehash the SAME SKILLS and make like 25+ development videos about a FUCKING TACTICAL CAMERA then it should be something decent hopefully.
I still remember all the streams for Inquisition where it's like all of the action stopped so the devs could wax on and on about this FUCKING camera. bro it's 2023 that kind of shit is STOCK and STANDARD. You gotta give players something else than "holy SHIT you can follow the action you guys! L-look you can snap to each party member ha ha!" Again, it's a staple. Do something else. Mass Effect 3 and Inquisition had interesting, fun online components and they proved they could make alot of unique and interesting looking skills! They just fucking choose to keep giving us the stock
>Ice
>Electric
>Fire
Spells and names. So tired of it.
DA really had no chance of establishing itself thanks to EA interference.
>Dungeons & Dragons fucking RUINING Dragon Age's bread and butter
D&D is just a ruleset.
the default setting, Forgotten Realms, is dismissed as generic more often than not and really only endures through several decades of iterative worldbuilding and the creator's highly active presence in nerd forums.
It's worth noting that Bioware has spent the last 14 years publishing books and comics to that same effect.
He's talking about how the media adaptions of Wheel of Time, Witcher and Dungeons & Dragons beat bioware at there "look: standard european fantasy, but with black people" game, not the actual properties themselves
>It's worth noting that Bioware has spent the last 14 years publishing books and comics to that same effect.
yeah if you visit any fan forums there is a fuckton of lore discussion based on those - i've played all the games and i can't follow any of it.
bioware has somehow built up a star wars expanded universe tier fanbase - all those peeps are gonna buy the next game and gush about the minor details that reference whatever lore gayry is going on.
it's honestly turned me off discussing hte game - every thread has a flood of people discussing their favorite ship or the lore implications of a boss coming back or whatever the fuck.
Why is the most fun, most appealing build in this game the most broken and easy to play? Nothing compares to blood mage/arcane warrior.
I love the game but it's because the combat is kind of bad and repetitive so just being able to walk all over everything is nice and makes for a less tedious experience. Plus the versatility of the arcane warrior blood mage breaths life into the combat.
Because you have like a million different things to choose from. All you really need is mana clash, blood wound, and a heal, and you're set for the rest of the game and free to fuck around. You don't HAVE to make a giant grease puddle that everyone slips and slides on until you choose to set it on fire, it's never really the best option. But you can, and it's fun. Same with all the other cool shit like reanimation, glyph of repulsion memes, or just stacking every nuke on top of each other to make an unnecessary spell combo.
Warrior and Rogue are bog standard by comparison, but at least Rogue has positioning requirements to make it engaging.
whacking shit with chasind great maul is fun to me for some reason
I barely remember this bitch. This fight doesn't even register for me and I've played the game like four times. It's one of my top games of all time. Sounds like you just suck.
Do you remember the prison escape?
Ya, that shit was pretty annoying.
Well, you only get the prison escape if you lose the boss fight against her
If you beat her, that part of the game is skipped. Which is funny because, saying you remember the prison escape means that you lost to her, yet you told OP that he must suck for having trouble with her.
OH SHIT, I REMEMBER IT NOW!!! Good point anon. It was obvious to me that the point was for you to lose. I lost to her the first two times I played the game because I just thought of it as something that was supposed to happen. The second two times I beefed the hell up and kicked her ass. So I'll take the L on this one. OP has a point it is one of the toughest fights in the game, but it's designed to sort of be unwinnable.
The hardest boss in the base game was that weird necromancer or whatever he was in a small random room in the capital
GaxWEWUZKANGS AND SHIIIIT
He drops a really good shield called Fade Wall, and it has a much higher drop rate on Nightmare Difficulty
Finally defeated that bitch on nightmare on my last run
There's two ways to go about the prison escape: disguise Morrigan and Leliana as Chantry sisters and the wrong way
Not taking Zevran and Oghren, shaking my head.
Yeah, I didn't even use Oghren that often but him and Zevran pretending to be brothers was by far the funniest prison break attempt for me.
Which is worse in replays: Deep Roads or the Fade?
fade skip mod
Deep Roads is kino, with that said Elf Forest
I recently replayed the game and the Fade went by so quickly and easily it made me wonder why the fuck I used to hate it
The Fade is ugly as hell, the Deep Roads at least feels like traversing Khazud-Dum which was intentional.
The fade was great but I prefer deep roads because I find the lore of the Dwarves and Darkspawn more interesting than the mage stuff.
The Fade is worse because it only has one solution. The entire thing is scripted; your characters are taken away and your character is transformed. The encounters are designed specifically around the transformations so on replay it plays the exact same, you'll use the same transformations at the same encounters and use the same abilities.
The Deep Roads is just long, but at least you still have your characters. If you come in with a different team you'll have a different experience.
Fade easily. Deep Roads is a slog but there are some great parts (Broodmother lead up, Anvil of Souls) the Fade has none of it's it's pure filler in the middle of a dungeon that has already worn out it's welcome
How are there people who hate the deep roads? It is one the main parts of the game. It is long because it’s supposed to feel long. And even though it’s long it’s not tedious at all. I remember my first play through when I delved deep into the deep roads. Each section in that dungeon crawl makes you feel like you are venturing further and further into territory lost to time. A place that is no longer welcoming to anything that is not evil and corrupted. And it peaks with the brood mother. Without the long road to the broodmother, it would mean little. That secret of what the darkspawn are is hidden away deep in the dark. Something that the dwarves would likely wish would be forgotten. When you reach that area of the game you are supposed to feel far away from civilization. Far away from where you are meant to be.
Anyway, if you don’t like the deep roads or the elf forest do you even like this game?
>if you don’t like the deep roads or the elf forest do you even like this game?
Probably not, I like talking Morrigan though. Remember that time Cousland told her to get a thicker blanket.
Deep Roads and forest are great, Circle and the Fade fucking suck though
The circle is great though. It’s just the fade that sucks. The circle is a great dungeon where you. Climb the tower and it gets more corrupted the further up you go. BioWare probably saw how short it was though and decided to add the fade to pad time. Shame though. The circle is short but it’s great. It would have been nice to have had a short but high quality main quest.
Too much of a good thing can still be bad. Deep Roads is amazing your first foray and probably the next time you go through it on the hardest difficulty, but after that? It's kind of a slog.
The fade is a maze or a puzzle. And once you know the path or the solution, the only other thing you can do is to see how fast you can complete it. But that's not enough especially when it is quite the lengthy section.
I really don't mind the Deep Roads, but the Fade is so utterly boring to me.
The Deep Roads were good, the Fade sucks.
Fuck the fade I always use the mod to skip it
That's what always keeps me from doing subsequent playthroughs. It also doesn't help that Orzammar has the most amount of sidequests.
I butchered the fuck out of her my first try. Wade's Superior Dragonbone Plate Arcane Warrior Blood Mage + stacking passives with Cold magic and Haste. By the time of Golems of Amgarrak, I had so many effects on my character my Xbox would lag. Killed the Reaper on Nightmare first try as well. Every magic character I had that could was a dual welding Arcane Warrior, or dual welding and stacking strength while wearing plate if not magic.
>Mage Pride
Ah yes, the one redeeming thing about DA2
I’ve never played Inquisition is that suppose to be fucking Hawke? Why does he look like a cracked out homeless person?
This is how the default Hawkes look like in Inquisition. For some reason female Hawke looks like a little boy
what the fuck
Femhawke sisters we were fucking robbed
What is the point of that blood mark?
Didn't the trailer connect it with blood magic or something?
it's cool
it just looks cool.
there's a cutscene where hawke gets it in a fight and then i guess he never washes it off ever, but you can put it on in chargen before that cutscene even happens.
I used to like Dragon Age, mainly for the lore over the gameplay, until I realized the lore was apparently always shit. According to Gaider all the shit in DAI was preplanned as far back as Origins too.
https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Codex_entry:_The_Notes_of_Arl_Foreshadow
>"Due to the character's name and this codex referring to elves who have survived since Arlathan and dealings between Ferelden and Orlais, it is possible that Arl Foreshadow is directly foreshadowing the plot of Dragon Age: Inquisition."
Well, that sucks.
I doubt Inquisition was always meant to be as shockingly bad as it was.
A lot was changed but if you mean elves being the most important in the lore then yes that was always planned
It's absolutely possible they just did this to encourage you talking your way out in the escape. It's also made harder by her swarm of bodyguards. The Archdemon does have slightly higher stats than her.
It's also fully possible it was some muh gurl powur shit.
Can't fuck Sigrun or Harding. David Gaider is a fat fucking pedophile gay.
>Sigrun
Criminally underrated waifu
Did she ever even show up again? I liked her a lot.
Nope
No, neither of them. I don't think DA Awakening is ever brought up again in 2 or Inquisition. Anders barely mentions it, I think.
>Anders barely mentions it, I think.
Which is fucking whack because Anders whole spirit mental illness WAS from Awakening.
I was really annoyed that she didn't show up in The Descent DLC for Inquisition, would've been the perfect way to show her again since most of the DLC is killing Darkspawn and she's a fucking dwarven Warden.
Pretty sure Sigrun dies in the Awakening epilogue no matter what you do. The goes back to the deeproads to help fight and eventually never returns
i hope gaider fucks a bugchaser and dies a horrible death from aids. fucking fat gay.
Mating press
never forget
I want a scout harding gf so bad bros
>They make her a dyke in DA4 to spite the straight males who wanted to romance her
would be pretty funny
>David Gaider
Is that the retard that thinks liking short women = pedophilia?
Yes, and he also thinks that liking 7 feet tall goat women is fine, though.
Guess he has a height preference
Is this game worth finishing. I've done multiple playthroughs getting to various points but always stop. The combat is incredibly frustrating and I heard the game drags on with more samey corridors with too many enemies.
I'm fucking scared of Dreadwolf
Not the lore
the gameplay
Anon it's guaranteed to be dogshit. There is only one good Dragon Age game (yes awakening is a part of origins) and Bioware hasn't made a good game in over a decade.
Played DAO 5 times. Loved it every times.
Only play DA2 once.
Never played DAI.
Will never play Dreadwolf.
If it's the one where you're trying to escape from prison you're supposed to lose.
I don't get people who yell at DA having inclusive stuff since it was always the case
though the gameplay is the one part that's fucked.
DA1 was fine, DA2 was dogshit, DAI was meh.
DAD looks to be a mediocre god of war 2018 clone and not a RPG at all
DA is a little more aggressive with it.
DA 2 in particular had a lot of players accidentally do a big gay by not being an asshole to Anders
but at the end of the day it's just a minority of loud radicals who care either way.
The inclusive stuff WAS always there my issue is that the series always had that nice edgy streak to it but by Inquisition all of the edge got filed down while the gay stuff instead of being part of the edge was now just normal, combined with everyone being coffee shop hipster versions of fantasy characters
>I don't get people who yell at DA having inclusive stuff since it was always the case
The "inclusive" stuff in DA1 makes perfect sense, it's explained reasonably well and fits the setting - as in, not just the DAO setting but the overall "medival europe" setting.
The inclusive stuff in DAI is a lot more overt, required new lore to explain and the characters talk about it the way a modern Californian would say it, instead of trying to make it appear like something a medieval fantasy character would say. When you learn that Zevran takes it up the ass, your text options are still written normally, you don't get a dialogue option that says "Thank your for confiding that to me, I want you to know that I accept you as who you are".
Look at it this way - when you learn that Zevran has had gay sex, the game doesn't explain it with "lore", because the writers already wrote a backstory that makes you think "Yeah, I can see a character like this having had gay sex". Son of a whore, dead mother, child trafficking - you add gay sex in there and it makes sense. There's no reason to add lore to explain it because the gay sex fits in with the other stuff.
In DAI, the writers KNEW the chud shit made no sense, which is why they needed "lore" to explain it. Otherwise it would seem completely out of place (well it still looks completely out of place, but now they can point to the lore to justify it).
>I don't get people who yell at DA having inclusive stuff since it was always the case
If you pick a certain origin you see a bunch of soldiers discussing fucking a dead woman and can let a rapist go free for money. This isn't the kind of shit that happens in "inclusive" games like shitquisition.
SOUND
I want to get in the franchise, a lot of people tells me to skip DA2 for DAI after 1. is it really worth it? how important is DA2 in the lore?
Skip DA2 and skip DAI.
DA2 only sets up Inquisition. Origins easily works as a standalone.
everything interesting in DA2 happens off camera.
There's no franchise. DAO is a standalone game.
It's kinda sad that Bioware caught fire after releasing Mass Effect 3, I always hoped they'd pick up on this series again. What could've been, huh
Both DA2 and DAI are terrible in their own ways
If you're really invested in it you can play both of them at least once but I don't recommend it
Literally just play Origins and its DLCs and ignore everything else. You can also probably skip most of the DLCs, but Awakening is worth playing.
I'll be the contrarian and say that I enjoyed DA2 more than Inquisition. It's still a blatant rush-job in how it recycles the same three mini-maps or so for like 50 side-quests, but it has a fun premise, and some decent character dynamics. The whole story's impact on the main lore can be summed up in a few sentences though, outside of a few major characters that it introduces.
i like when a game has a reduce scope and focused on it, it usually comes with quality. too bad they dumbed down combat
It's a shame because I really like the idea of stepping away from the "Save the World" quest and focusing on a group of misfits trying to make it big in the city and seeing how their lives and the homes around them change over the years.
If it just had more dev time I think Kirkwall could have been a great setting, showing it change over the seasons and how it develops differently depending on certain choices and side-quests. But sadly they just had enough time to copy-paste the same respawning bandits around every other street and called it a day.
Same DA2 was the shitter game but I actually enjoyed it compared to Inquisition. The idea of you following some schmuck and his friends though a decade of his life is really appealing and an underused storytelling device in games
>I'll be the contrarian and say that I enjoyed DA2 more than Inquisition.
That's a contrarian take?
I found Inquisition to be mediocre across the board, while 2 was offensively bad in terms of story and gameplay in my memory.
I can't say I really remember a whole lot myself of either playing 2 at launch and Inquisition 5 or so years ago. There's some bias being that my tolerance for shit games a decade ago was higher and i was burned on open world by the time I played the latter. But anyway i usually see 2 more praised on Ganker generally, in a this pile of shit doesn't smell quite as bad sort of way at least.
i don't really get the massive amount of hate against inquisition, yeah sure it is generic high fantasy and the lore has been fucked over but after recently playing through it i did enjoy it somehow, the MMO style world and quests really hurt the game though.
Also i didn't like Hawke being made anti-magic
There are good lore bits in DA:I
(In fucking codex entries lmao)
I don't hate the game either though, 6/10. It's ok. Too big for its own good for the little the areas have to offer as far as content goes.
>There are good lore bits in DA:I
>(In fucking codex entries lmao)
You mean like the codexes that talk about how religion makes people stupid and Brother Genitivi laments it? Or the entries that say every Orlesian noble craves gay sex at all times? Or the codex that talks about the ancient aliens who settled the planet over in Qunaristan and built space temples?
I see nothing wrong with the 1st and the 3rd is funny and doesn't surprise me considering there are Korgan heads on some walls in DA
Because it's the singleplayer MMO that almost completely abandoned DAO's elements and has the most uninspired world in the series. Everything in the game looks lifeless and sterile, its fantasy aspects are so generic it hurts.
DA2 for all its faults has the unique narrative going for it - the idea of a game taking place in a single city over the course of 10 years is interesting plus it retained some of Origins dark and edgy aspects while Shitquisition even abandoned the series's distinct blood dragon motif.
>Everything in the game looks lifeless and sterile, its fantasy aspects are so generic it hurts.
Lol glad it's not just me, I call DAI the blandest game of all time it should come in a blank white box that just says "Fantasy Game" it's a game that you'd see someone play on a nitetime sitcom
>blood dragon motif.
I remember in high school or middle school we had an assignment to draw something for art class so I went and traced the blood dragon from the first game. Literally just used red paint for the dragon and black for the background.
Got an A and it was hanged in the hallway.
It was the only time in my life I felt proud of something art related and it was a god damn tracing of a video game cover.
>yeah sure it is generic high fantasy and the lore has been fucked over
>don't really get the massive amount of hate against inquisition
???
>massive amount of hate against inquisition
It's literally only here. The reception was rather good but after 8 years of nothing there just aren't many fans left that care so it's overall more apathy than hate. The DA fan schizos that remain are sadly highly infested with the rainbow crowd
>The reception was rather good
Among journalists sure. I remember seeing tons of returned copies in CEX shortly after it released and the fact it was forgotten almost instantly, and overshadowed by the Witcher 3 speaks louder than shit talking.
No it was just well received
>overshadowed by TW3
What did TW3 not overshadow
>No it was just well received
Not really. The reasons I stated disprove that.
>What did TW3 not overshadow
Skyrim, Dark souls, hell Dragon age Origins etc.
>The reasons I stated disprove that.
No it doesn't
The fact that multpile DLCs came out means it's a success. Look at how EA treats games that underperform. No DLCs, no nothing, It gets dropped.
TW3 didn't overshadow DA:O? In sales it did by a long mile, obviously. What else do you mean? Impact? It also overshadowed it there
Just because it found some success doesn't mean it was well received everywhere except here.
>TW3 didn't overshadow DA:O
Correct. You're in a DA:O thread right now. It is still talked about unlike cisquisition because it fills a niche the Witcher didn't fully cover.
Bloodborne, MGS5, Fallout 4
The only reason DAI got praise is because 2014 was that awful.
>it is generic high fantasy and the lore has been fucked over but after recently playing through it i did enjoy it somehow, the MMO style world and quests really hurt the game
This plus the fact there are no redeeming features. I genuinely can't think of anything I actually like about the game. Perhaps some of the characters are interesting but with a dogshit story they don't get to shine. It's truly an awful game. The fact it's a politically correct piece of shit with no stakes doesn't help either.
>Also i didn't like Hawke being made anti-magic
Opposite for me. I don't know how anyone could RP Hawke as pro-magic.
Blood mage murders your mom
Anders nukes innocent nuns
And Orsino, the supposed most moral mage, STILL became a bloodmage.
Unless you're RPing a retard, pro-mage Hawke just makes 0 sense
(Not that anon but) To be fair the first is mid-game content while the other two are end-game. So by the time they occur you've already made up your mind (or made decisions numerous times on the matter) even if the final confrontation is ahead of you. And since you mentioned Hawke's family: let's not forget his apostate Mage father (and everything that came with it) plus - if Hawke himself is not a Mage - his sister, Bethany. So I get where you coming from but the situation is not as clear-cut.
>i don't really get the massive amount of hate against inquisition
>yeah sure it is generic high fantasy and the lore has been fucked over
And that's not enough reason. Joking aside my issue is any sort of edge has been systematically sanded away to produce the safest, friendliest, least challenging "Dark" Fantasy series, combined with them progressively dumbing down mechanics and any strategical challenge for probably the worst action game followed by one of the worst psudo action games I've ever played.
Just level DEX and facetank her, bro.
The toughest was that flesh golem thing from the DLC whose name escapes me.
The harvester was pretty tough but I feel like it was mostly because that dlc gave you shit companions.
Golems of Ambarrak or something. The harvester is a bitch, fuck you for reminding me of him. Trying to get the platinum and that was my biggest headache. Your companions are useless and I'm pretty sure you have to go back to your last save in Origins, buy skill reset books and better gear to give to THEM, then load that specific save just to make your allies not fucking garbage.
Amgarrak with the multiple golem fight had me kicking and screaming like a baby.
I've been thinking of buying the DAO Ultimate Edition from Steam but the reviews are giving me pause, should I buy it from GOG instead?
Pirate it, pirate the dlc, and put your graphics settings on medium whenever you do quests in denerim. Don't give ea a dime.
GOG is better, comes with all the little item DLCs for the game too.
Whatever version you end up with don't forget the 4GB LAA patch (Origins comes with a 32-bit exe that only allows 2GB of virtual memory usage - the patch doubles it if you run the game on a 64-bit OS). It prevents a lot of potential crashes and assures a smoother performance in general.
>Try out Ser Gilmore companion mod
>He bitches at me for all my quest decisions
>Goes full bitch and says we're not friends anymore and he'll only stay to help finish the Blight
I would be fine with this if I could have actual arguments with the guy instead of 'all in a days work'.
Frostbite was a mistake
Alistair and Anora (she should be dead btw) are the only ones that look worse
Everyone except Morrigan and Cullen look horrible wtf are you talking about
Do you mean they look horrible to what they used to look like or in general?
Both
Leliana unironically reminds me of late Michael Jackson, Alistair looks completely different, Flemeth's face is too wrinkly and saggy
>Leliana unironically reminds me of late Michael Jackson
can't unsee
eh, I disagree
Flementh is an old hag and she looks like one
Leliana definitely doesn't look anything like her original aside from the hair colour, but I still think she looks good. I dont see the Michael Jackson personally. The lighting in this game makes everyone look so slippery. But theyre still attractive to me
>Flementh is an old hag and she looks like one
She doesn't look as old in DA2 though
as if DA2 is an example of good looking NPCs
lolwhat
DA2 if you don't count darkspawn has the best designs in the series even if they look too JRPG-ish at times.
Alright, you got me good, anon
Smell ya later, nerd
It's the closest DA ever been to having a distinct look.
DAO was just a derivative of ASoIaF and LOTR aesthetics and DAI was just painfully generic.
look at that fucking chin
That has to be edited. It doesn't look real.
the anime armor is retarded. DA:O had soulful hammered and riveted armor, with chain mail and leather. DA2 everything is plates of steel professionally welded together, its ridiculous.
DA2 is being told from Varric's perspective. Everyone appears as he thinks they look and not actually how they look IRL.
>"And Bethany had big ol' titties"
They really didn't do much with it being a narrative
There's definitely a charm with DA Origins look, but all the DAI goons look good except Anora and shes got an unattractive expression to begin with. You could have done a better job to shitpost about DAI is what im trying to say
Iron bulls looks fucking disgusting and is probably one of the worst characters in a game ive come across. I like Freddie Prinze Jr but goddamn is his character bad and he didnt make any better
Everyone's so fucking greasy.
>Everyone is a stark improvement
>except Anora who got JUST
Someone on the modeling team did not like her
Only Alistair and Leliana look bad, what the fuck are you on about?
They downgraded Flemeth and how can you ignore the abomination that is DAI's Anora
Making an old hag look like an old hag isn't a downgrade, what level of fucking coomerbrain do you have? Also Anora looking like that makes sense, she has a resting bitch face.
Flemeth is not just a regular human, she's a vessel for Mythal
Pretty sure the vessels still age
not that fucking fast.
it's only been 10 years, you meet many abominations that look not as aged as her.
>it's only been 10 years
Do you think she was like 40 in DA2 lol
>she's a vessel for Mythal
isn't that a retcon from DAI
It was hinted at in DA2
Read somewhere that it's actually been implied since Origins. Apparently the Grimoire you give to Morrigan (either the Circle Tower one or the one you get after killing Flemeth) has the symbol of Mythal on the cover.
That's not a downgrade
That on the right is a GILF and that on the left is nonsense. Either make her a old or don't, can't make her both young and old looking at the same time.
Morrigan looked like some beady-eyed rat in Origins, she's much better in Inquisition. Come to think of it all Dragon Age characters have been pretty ugly since Origins.
You know remember redeeMorrigan.
Gotta love (read: hate) the change from dark to high fantasy
This was the fight where you have to kite them around corners one by one to have any chance of winning right?
no pussy
this is where you facetank all the damage and BTFO archer cucks
Behold, the Dumbest Fucking Character Design nominee
At first I found his cryptic nonsense intriguing, then I looked it up and it's a bunch of memes.
Easily the most slept on series
How the fuck do you get this shit to run on modern machines. It's not my drivers, I have it run on one core, graphics low as they can go, and compatibility mode doesn't seem to work.
gog version with 4gb patch might help. gog-games is gone though and i forgot about the other ones name
Thanks anon.
You know, I think it's time for a female city elf rogue playthrough...
rape
>that image
I did a Complete Disaster Playthrough where I made the worst choices at every single point. Killed companions off, let tons of people die, didn't resolve shit, and so on. I was playing on like Hard or Nightmare or something as a mage. I got to the point where I actually just couldn't complete the game because I was in the part of the final battle where you're in the Alienage fighting off the Darkspawn getting in, and I couldn't beat it with my two surviving companions of Oghren (I didn't know you could piss him off enough to ditch him) and Loghain. Got hard-walled at that encounter.
I got a kick out of having Alistair chop Leliana's head off right in front of the Ashes of Andraste, though.
Couldn't an arcane warrior manage it? I really want to try it.
He was an Arcane Warrior and some other shit (I think maybe Blood Mage because I sold Connor out for some demonic poontang because it was the only thing that would fuck him). But even still, I just couldn't handle getting swarmed after Loghain and Oghren bit it.
Nah, but thinking back I did make him hideous and ambiguously brownoid without even intending any racist shit.
It doesn't even seem like it'd be such a hard fight at first glance but I honestly think it might be the hardest fight in the game if you're not prepared for it. I didn't have enough consumables to try to brute force my way through it.
You were playing female right? You have to play female when making bad decisions.
it wouldnt be a bad decision if a man made it
I did the whole of the push to the Archdaeman with no mages on hard. No magic, just Cousland warrior with King Alistair, Oghren the Dwarf and Zevran the Elf. That's how it should be. Masculine war. Morrigan is for fucking and childrearing. Pregnancy sex. Based
unironically same, I went into the final battle with the shittiest possible party and got fucked at the Alienage, seems like that's the "you made terrible decisions" filter
Just use traps bombs and make the mage hurlock kill all of his own guys, use salves and pots to make yourself immune to damage.
So DA4 when
Hopefully never
I think she was pretty easy, I beat her in the first try, only later I saw videos of the prison scene and then I reload a save to lost to her.
For me the hardest were a guy that becomes an eldtrich abomination-like from one side quest... I don't remember the name. We find him and fight against him in a tiny house in the city. And as other people said, the boss from Golens of Amarak.
The archedemon might be more difficult without using the armies or catapults and so on. I never tried.
Oh, the ghost eletric dragon from the first DLC was also hard.

This lad?

Yeah. It was against him that I had to learn to play the game kind of properly.
It would have been better had BioWare made the arch demon like what they originally intended rather than just a dragon. It sounded more interesting when they said they wanted a humanoid alien thing to be the arch demon. Probably what they made the corrupted magister later.
It's only natural human chads would be the final bosses, I mean you literally play humans BTFOing every demonic/elven/qun threat.
You DO play humans, right OP?
I only play as femboy elves who are addicted to big human benis
>boy

Enjoy your spiritually *lven children
Better they be spiritually elvish than physically Orlesian.
>game with woman as hardest boss
Yep that’s a fantasy game.
I kind of like Inquisition. Shame gameplay is unimaginable garbage
We need an inquisition for people who liked inquisition
I don't remember any of the fights in the game because every fight was just the same combo of CCs until the enemy was dead.
I think fucked up bitchgirl's mother got me a few times, but that's the only one I remember.
T or F , only the first game in this series (origins) is good?
T
DAO is great
DA2 is good
DAI is cancer
DA:O is great
DA2 is so bad that I had to wait for my standards to sink until about 2021 so I could play it
DA:I is just meh, main story is ok but short and artificially dragged out with literal fillerquests
I feel like DA2 depends on context when it comes to whether someone likes it or not. When it came out in 2011 full priced with day one dlc and excessive amount of reused levels/assets it was a huge kick to the teeth but now in 2023 when you can get the game for like 5 dollars it ain’t that bad.
The same cannot be said about a game like Andromeda however. No matter how many years go by that game will always be objective shit.
I have grown a great deal since this game was release.
I have a post-graduate degree.
I have a wife now.
Children.
A dog. and cats.
I provide for all of them in a high-prestige profession.
I'm a respected member of my community.
I volunteer. I coach hockey.
People know me. They like me. I like them.
And I love my family.
But I have a secret.
A dark secret that nobody but you gays could ever know or understand.
I am in love with DA:O Morrigan.
A complete fucking simp.
It's weird and sad.
I legitimately feel things when I play this game and when I see her posted around.
It bothers me a great deal that after all of this time and all that has changed, some shittily written fictional pixel woman copy/pasted onto a male skeleton has this kind of sway over my subconscious with just a few lines of barely coherent dialogue.
I blame Claudia Black entirely.
Her voice just bypasses everything that makes you a sane and civilized person, and taps directly into your caveman brain like sound heroin
