This is Toshi rewarding me after being shafted in a handful of banners ever since the 5th anni including USJ's.
After playing around with him for a bit I'd say the only thing broken about UUI is the cover change prevention. Everything else about him seems pretty balanced. He can't auto counter your strike and blasts like MUI, and he can't restore his gauge with green cards like revui and MUI.
He's got no survivability outside of the gauge so any rising rush will easily kill him.

The amount of Z-Power you get during raids, adventures (once in a blue moon anyway) and guild shop is absurd too.
Buying Z-Power from Co-Op takes an eternity because you barely get coins outside of the limited time rewards (except for the rare times in which they add bonus characters that boost the amount of coins due to not having an F2P unit to advertise.)
The Z-Power you buy in the guild shop, with coins that you earn like once per month only adds 30 fricking points.
It's honestly baffling.
Your time is fine. You may want to replace Nerdhan with Z7 Red Janemba if you intend to go full beast, but otherwise your time is extrenely solid.

Gohan starts off somewhat weak and gets progressively stronger as the match goes on, not just because of his kit but also because of his transformation.
You gotta do a bit of stalling and make sure to get the lead on your opponent, and to do that... you'll have to fish for Perfect Vanish.

Ultra Hit has been working both well with and against Ultra UI. It's been nearly a year and he's still putting in the work.

The plat helps a lot with damage after revival. Of course you should be using the Legends Medals strike equipment and a good 3rd equipment though.

No damage before revive and only tanking is the revive and the unique gauge on orange.
I don't think you necessarily need Janembs. Both Beast are enough to carry the team.

I accidentally used my UVB team in my PVP treasure battle instead of my normal ss4 team and I won really easily, I usually have to do 2 battles minimum because I always get my ass flipped like a pancake in pvp

always do your pvp grinding a few days after the start of a season or go maximum tryhard day 1 and play enough every day to stay ahead of the curve. the top 12k through to top 8k is usually a sweet spot in pvp but if you sink below that it's sweaty hell all the way from the top 14k down to the top 40k.
the last few days of pvp are also always hell. NEVER leave your grinding to the last day.

I like Gotenks but I feel he doesn't really do enough for me. All he's for is "oh shit they're about to RR or Ultimate. Blue Beast for Movies, URGB for Future, UKB for Regen, Cell for Androids, the Ginyu Force can make for a solid Frieza Saga team, USJ for Movies instead of Blue Beast or for Regen, the ToP Boys for blast based UniRep and Goku/Bardock for Saiyan (because Game Originals sucks.)
ultra rose if you run god ki. I want to say ultra hit for unirep if you run that but as someone who mains unirep hit's pretty badly aged if he's only five stars at this point so since you clearly have ultra vb already I'd just stick him in the leaderslot for any team that needs a red.
Ultra janemba for movies if you need a blue.
Other than that I'd say nothing leaps out at me as something worth chasing. not because there aren't good units your missing but because a lot of them require too many resources to be worth the investment at this point.

Not gonna lie senpai. I don't think blue beast has really done that much for me on the ladder. Yeah he's neat and all but compared to the other star units he's just kinda lacking. High damage, infinite combos, but almost everyone is playing green units and I don't think he can really go against Barku okay.
Ultra Janemba has pretty much replaced blue beast in movie teams. The only thing he has left is endurance (which a lot of greens can nullify) and Orange Piccolo is the better punching bag.

No, he'd work alongside MVP since they're both blast based. You should definitely replace Hit though. Hit is quite out of date (his time stop is his only saving grace in a cover null-filled metas like the ones we've been getting for the past months), and if your opponent stops him from doing that then it's gg, and on top of that, being a strike based character in a blast team only hampers his performance.
MVP 17 is a core member thanks to his kit which is just too good to pass on (you need to fill his unique gauge for the magic to happen though), and considering you're running a blast based team, you should always be using him. Moreover, you have him at 6 stars. I used him with 3 stars on Androids and he allowed me to decimate UVBs nicely before October when USJ came out.
The question is whether to replace the ToP Boys with Jiren or not (so you'd have UUI, MVP 17 and either Jiren or the ToP Boys). That's up to you.
If I had Jiren at Z7 I'd at least want to try that out and see how it goes.
I can at least replace Hit with lf Jiren and go from there. I don't think he needs a zenkai bench and I want to keep Bergamo for the hp buff. And then depending on the match I either bring in evoken or Jiren.
After some testing I decided to drop the ToP boys and juice Jiren even further with ui omen. A shame there's no yellow or blue zenkais for uni-reps but I think green angel Frieza will do for now with that +2% to blast arts damage.

For Future you'll want to zenkai awaken Future Trunks w/Mai to zenkai buff Ultra Vegito Blue and LL SSB Vegeta for Ultra Rose Goku Black.
If you don't have them, you could focus on LL Rose Goku Black. He's not really usable (too weak and incompetent, specially with UUI on the loose), but he can zenkai buff the newer LL Cell.
As for God Ki, there's Toppo to buff the ToP Boys and/or RevUI if you have them, the red Rose Goku Black to buff Ultra Vegito Blue, SSB Goku and SSG Vegeta to buff UUI and/or Trunks/Vegeta, LL SSB Vegeta to buff Ultra Rose Goku Black just like in future.
I guess there's also the purple SSB Vegeta and Merged Zamasu to zenkai buff UI Sign.
I'm not sure what else is there that is meta relevant.

Goku/Frieza are the first character to outright counter rising rush but there have always been characters that play around it such as dragon ball stealers/destroyers, sealing characters like Pui Pui and VB, endurance and revival characters, and now the unbreakable Goku/Bardock. Some metas were completely dominated by Regen teams because they were the best at farming and tanking Rising Rush. It’s a very contentious mechanic because it’s mostly RNG.
I’m mixed about the rising rush nerf, while they’re generally less common it’s still possible to get one in 7 cards so it’s still unpredictable. A lot of games have been going to timer since that update which I guess should please the more competitive players but I prefer a swift victory or defeat.
It’s just a gamer thing to share terminology. I doubt Goresh plays much besides Legends and Dokkan but has to stay hip.

The way how Tien's anti rush mechanic works is only if the enemy has three battle members remaining and if you lose the wager. The only advantage it has over the Goku/Frieza one is that his can cause damage (but won't cause a KO).
Your forgetting that the examples you've given require some sort build up or isn't nearly as broken as completely blocking a multi millions damage attack.
Freeza gets it for pretty much free, needs 1% of gauge, that's it. Just swap and sit there.

Orange Piccolo's strength lies in him being the perfect punching bag for a movies team. He gets full health on revive and shortens his substitution time a lot and his gauge can stop a combo.

A lot of people really wanted to have a good Piccolo unit, so some try really hard to make him fit, but yeah... he was easily the weakest unit from the 5th anniversary, and his plat doesn't do a whole lot for him, just like it happened with the Buu Boys.
Neither deserved to be as bad as they are.
A few things. like all revival characters he needs whale level pulls to work because his base stats are lower than average so your average peasant with their shitty 7* copy isn't going to get the performance whales will.
as for what they see in him it's his synergy with the rest of the team. his revival and his debuffs on cover change give him excellent disruption so he plays perfectly alongside units like janemba and kid buu. at high stars he's also very tanky after the revive which means his disrupt comes into play.
piccolo is the glue that makes the firepower units perform their best. he's shit on his own but the synergy he has with his two teams is so good it elevates him into their core.
end of the day you got to remember there's a reason those players are in the top 1k while all the b***hing losers aren't even in the top 10k.

Obviously, the more you pull him the better. 3 pulls would be optimal probably. Past the 9th or 10th star all you get is diminishing returns.

Got this Gohan on one of the new year banners is he any good?
He was excelent at cucking me out of pulling LL Cell. Truly the meta-defining unit of the Trunks summon animation. Second only to YEL Golden Frieza.

Chadhan here, he’s underrated. He’s a decent tank that heals after taking hits while cucking the enemy’s dragon balls. His main is also pretty good since it seals rising rush and restores his vanish; offensively he’s not as reliable as the LL SS Trunks but he can string some combos with a green card. You’ll only use him on hybrids or maybe son family because Cell Saga doesn’t exist yet. He’s definitely gotten better since Janemba came out, he can reliably eat his ultimate better than revival piccolo/UI. One of my more common teams is with Transforming Beast and Gochunks and they can stall long enough for Beast to do his thing.

Beast can decimate you but he doesn't have the defense to stay in the fight. UVB doesn't do as much damage but he can stay in the fight for longer and just decimate the ever loving frick outta you.

I've been playing around Ultra UI and Red Beast on the same team and I don't know if they're that good together. The only problem is my other "movies" damage dealer is blue beast and he's kinda meh in this meta right now (He can't even stop UVB). It just feels like Ultra UI and Red Beast are fighting for the same "slot" even though you can technically use them both since UI uses the timer for his buff while Red Beast uses how many dead characters there are for the boost.
Has anyone successfully made a team for both of them?

If you want an easy time reroll for ultra UI and then concentrate your crystals on the transforming Beast and Evolution/Kaioken banners. Do NOT summon for Goku/Bardock the banner is fricked beyond belief.

It has a pretty damn good pool of units, and since you're just starting you have a huge number of missions, events and story mode chapters to complete, in other words a lot of CC to burn.
I'd say that for 3K it's worth it. Better than the newcomer banner that's available during the first few days after starting to play the game anyway.

Goku/Bardock, Goku/Frieza and Beasthan would form a solid Son Family team, so that's a good goal to pursue.
Orange Piccolo is pretty mid, and he won't fit nicely unless you put him on the leader slot so he can get all the Z-Ability buffs and also give his own to the rest of the party.
The problem with this is that if you put him on the leader slot, you're not gonna have a health buffer that encompasses Beasthan and Goku/Bardock both, and not running a health buffer is a terrible idea unless you're confident you won't get hit too much.
Piccolo works best in Movies or Regen.
An alternative to a SonFam team, you could focus on the SSBE Vegeta & SSBK Goku banner. You can make a competent Universe Survival Saga team with units you can pull all from there containing SSBE Vegeta & SSBK Goku, MVP 17 and Jiren or Golden Frieza on the lead.
That's a better value for your pulls than trying your luck with Ultra UI's banner imo.
The Ultimate Pickup banner that has the MVP 17 just like the SSBE Vegeta & SSBK Goku banner is fine, and GoFrieza is great, but they may not be THAT good if you drop them into a blast based team, idk tbh.

Is LF Majin Vegeta any good?
No. His only use these days is as a zenkai bench for soh trunks (who has his own zenkai) or buu boys (lol).
I used to play him a lot when he came out and after he got a zenkai. He has considerable bulk and heals with strike cards (as well as special held strike cards that heal too) and a massive heal upon transforming. The problem however is that nearly every character nowadays ignores damage cut effects so he can get foddered too easily, you’d much rather have an endurance character like Sword of Hope Trunks. That said, his damage isn’t too bad as he gets stronger for every arts card you and your opponent uses.

Don’t sleep on transforming Cell he’s very good. Future Gohan finally got power crept by characters who have immunity to card destruction but he’s still fairly good especially with his unique equipment.

Dragon Fist is a good strike spammer for son family/Movie teams; gets hard countered by Janemba and Ultra UI though. His main weakness is that it takes too long to build up his gauge, his unique equipment helps out significantly in that respect same as LL Perfect Cell’s. He’s not that good at tanking but he heals with strike cards and there are an abundance of Movies/Saiyan equipment that buff health restoration. The main reason to play him is that once his gauge is full his main ability removes vanish and he gains type neutrality, so you can nuke any character with his ultimate.

I was thinking of maybe using 3 but I don't know how defensive that'll make my team be with yellow gotenks. And that'll just end up exaggerating my problem of not being able to kill fricking universe reps. If I use Red Janemba though, Red Gohan will literally be the only reason I win or lose.

Pan's great against normal teams but I feel like she doesn't stop Goku/Vegeta - Goku/Frieza - Goku/Bardock fast enough before they can kill her and with all of them packing some sort of fricking cover null, it's painful to see her die quick. But with her on the team, I get a 36% boost to health with Gotenks but my offense is weaker which I'm trying to solve for. Nerdhan does a LOT more damage but I'm not sure if I should slot him in with only Gotenks TANK GOD being my only defensive option.

As soon as you get 1 or 2 greens in you should swap her asap. She's not a fighter, she's a support character. She CAN hold her own thanks to her type neutrality (which is not permanent mind you), but you're not meant to leave her in the battlefield for long periods of time.
Do a bit of chip damage at most and then swap her during a combo or something.
yeah that's the problem that im facing. it just feels like i'm just stalling while they widdle me down and I can barely do any damage to them until gotenks and pan is dead but if they die, 1v3ing with Gohan is fricking hard at the high BR. One mistake and Vegeta/Goku just melt the shit outta me.
Depends on your skill. As a unirep main I can tell you team 3 would pose the biggest challenge for mine as double red largely neutralizes ultra ui.
I can also say team 2 isn't very good, I've run it a little and can speak from experience that red beast and uui do not play well together.

But I can win because these neanderthals didn't read the conditions and don't realize that charge stepping reduced your damage with each instance. I mean, some of these UUI ults do like 1,000 damage.
I'm not going to complain about free wins, but why do they think I do full damage and they start tickling me halfway through a combo?

plus the most devestating part of uvb's kit is utterly neutered in this one since your damage atrophies to nothing if you do any kind of sidestep or charge step so the infinite combos of uvb are worthless besides db farming.

Is summoning on the omen mastery worth it? I guess a few websites said it's a small chance to get an Ultra but wirh the double on the banner I think it calculated up to .75 chance but that's still the only step that doubles.

Focus on pulling from the new years, the SSBE Vegeta & SSBK Goku and the Red Beasthan banners. They all hold great value and ou can make meta teams with units that you can pull from them.
Play the story mode and complete the challenges in each battle to obtain CC to perform pulls with.
Make sure to train your characters, and to soul boost them too (Menu > Characters -> Upgrade).
I hate the shitty ripoff of an event that is Ultra Bonanza so much it's unreal.
I had to endure the shitty new year raids for a few hours to get 150 gold ingots which didn't even amount to 1.000.000.000 zeni, and spent most of them on this?

Nah, the red transforming Cell is one of the better releases of the year, he's awesome. Used him plenty before UVB came out, and I used him again during the new year raids. Chaining greens and blues with him before tranforming is always funny.
Played with some inverted dildo who refused to get his 7th ball so he could finish with UVB's special. I'm sick of people wasting time like this, it's either them trying to get a special finish or people not using the right colors.

You should be using the campaign to roll good slot 1 or 2, unique equipment that have multiple effects for the third slot have fixed rates and should be saved for after the campaign.

If you’re picking the leader, they receive all Z-ability bonuses while giving their own to the whole party; if the leader is already on the same tags as most of the party members it’s not a significant bonus.

You have it right. The leader slot gives bigger stat boosts to Ultra units if you have them, so you usually put them there. If you're not running an Ultra unit, the leader will both give and receive every other units z ability boost if they're brough into battle, so they don't have to be from the same tags as the rest of the team.

But you gotta wait till his gauge is down + if he's free. And listen if you don't have a Beast counter (Jiren/MVP17), that's your own damn fault.

The evoken banner has been so good to me that it's actually kinda worrying. It alone got me mvp17, lf Jiren and evoken to 8 stars, MUI to 7 stars, my first copy of vegeta & trunks (why are they in there lol) and maxed out my Kyawei.

if you want to get technical, it might be out of the time patrols jurisdiction, since while they're pulling characters from different points in the timeline, it doesn't seem like they're directly altering the ones that they show up in, which is the whole reason the Time Patrol exists

Weirdest secret boss in a Dragon Ball game. Goku and company don't even react to them at all, it's like they become lifeless dolls.
Kakarot's probably the one with the most basis in them existing in the main timeline, as Xenoverse is technically part of Heroes (but not really, because Towa, Mira and Fu are entirely different) and DB Online was basically the prototype to it. It is a very weird inclusion, I agree. Towa and Mira feel like they just jump from writer to writer without any real goal aside from "frick things up." Dokkan is probably my one reference point, as when they get characters like this, they don't just list them as characters, they're always "from Xenoverse (tm)" or "from Super Dragon Ball Heroes (tm)" attached to them. Almost feels like there's more legwork and paperwork attached to it than a regular character, somehow.
My headcanon is that there isn't actually any time travel involved, but rather each fighters' "spirit" is being transported, and the canon character isn't actually aware of it
There could be legitimate reasons, such as Beerus and Whis taking care of the matter personally which means Chronoa would know not to interfere.
But it's probably just to avoid complicating the story unnecessarily.

I disagree. Beast has a lot of overpowered unfair bullshit going for him like his vanish removal, multiple vanish restorations and unfavorable element nullification to name a few. It just doesn't seem as bad sometimes because a lot of new players pick him so you don't see his full potential get realized often because they don't how to fully utilize his mountain of buffs.
vanish removal is only a problem if you didnt save rush or used all of your switches. both avoidable. if he also increased sub count or something upon transformation then i would agree.
the vanish restorations are kind of annoying but i would never say unfair as they dont restore a full vanish gauge.
as for the element null i got no excuse for that, that needs to die across the board for all units if you ask me. still, its manageable to fight against if you arent a moron

I spend money on this game because I want people to think "Wow what a cool guy" or have newbies think "Gee whiz I can't believe this guy carried me through this raid!" When they see me in coop matches.
Honestly pvp is so dumb, this dash step cancel shit is just lame. I only ever bother with PVP when I have to get daily tickets or special items or something. Otherwise it just feels like I'm a punching bag for dudes with 3 ULs

This year has already missed an Ultra Hit equivalent, and we know that in a few weeks there'll be a new LL, so I'd expect 2 at most; 1 in March and 1 in May or something like that.

I started to use units that are not boosted in Co-Op.
As it turns out, UUI and the ToP Boys are far fricking better than 7s+ Yellow Super 17 and the 7-starred Tag 4s or 3-starred SS4 Gogeta despite not being on boost.
I clear Advanced difficulty matches much faster with UUI and the ToP Boys than I do with a proper boosted team.
Also, I really fricking wish they zenkaid the yellow Nuova Shenron instead of the Red Omega.

I got an lf Jiren dupe that puts him at +2 now. Pretty great since I'm using him in this battle royale but I wish I could get dupes for these other units since their zenkais can be useful to me.
pvp is hella frustrating. i know i shouldn't take it seriously but damn the UI should feed you way more info then it does. like come the frick on you can't hide cover null from me that's just fricking bad game design.

My go to is either of the majin 21s or the SS3 & 2 Goku and Vegeta.
Would it have killed these motherfrickers to zenkai awaken the Blue SS3 Goku to vary and to provide an alternative GT blue to the new LL Goku, instead of zenkai awakening 2 reds in a row? Sigh.
I haven't gotten a single zenkai on release since Red Janemba or Green Gogeta (I don't remember which one came last.)
