Considering the website lists that Trunks as just "Future Trunks", there's a chance his DBZ look might just be a skin. I mean, it could work, his base and Super Saiyan forms could have the old DBZ movesets, while his SS2 and Rage forms could add everything he did in DBS.

My Hero Academia's arena fighters aren't all that impressive, Cursed Clash doesn't look all that impressive, One Piece odyssey just looks like a bunch of figurines photoshopped into a crappy unreal-demo looking environment, Kakarot doesn't even look as good as the previous naruto games, breakers looks like shit, that new card game doesn't look good, and unless either CC2 or Arcsys is in charge of the new bleach game, that won't look good either.
Sparking Zero looks good but that's because the developers are actively trying to emulate Arcsys. And it's not impossible, so these other studios don't really have an excuse.

On the surface all of the stuff they've showed so far is stuff you can replicate in Tenkaichi 3 but a bit faster, Tenkaichi 3 is a relatively simple game but it does require getting used to it, i've tried playing with my brother and cousin who never touched it and they quickly lost interest due to being lost in the controls
We haven't had a full gameplay trailer yet. Assuming it's not just smoke and mirrors, it looks pretty decent so far. Giants are returning, so are beam and rush clashes, and even planet/stage destruction. They're particularly proud of the latter part.

This game will have less characters playable than BT3 and it's just math as a fact. The amount of slots just shows the amount of transformations, not the amount of unique characters.
Let's make it as simple as possible for your undeveloped fetal alcohol syndrome brains.
More slots on the CSS =/= More characters if transformations take up slots. The fact that Goku alone now has more than 3 more transformations in Super means it is literally impossible for them to have more actual characters than BT3 if the roster screen only has 3 more slots, let alone Vegeta's new recolors and others.

Basically the biggest movie villains in the franchise, who are also characters that've been in nearly every DBZ game.
I'm curious to see how they're going to handle DLC. They could just give us 1 or 2 characters per pack like FighterZ does OR they could add a story and some additional things like Xenoverse sometimes does.
If they're going to hold important characters hostage Ideally something like a bundle would be the best choice. Like if they made Bardock DLC, they would have to add in all his crew, make a story about Father-of-Goku, add in a what-if story, and a planet vegeta map. Realistically we're probably just getting 2 characters and maybe some costumes.
I could see Fasha returning and Toma becoming playable, but the other two could probably just pop up in Toma's moveset, Babidi-style. It wouldn't surprise if they added Gine with them and gave her a Tarble-styled moveset (except her ult uses a big slab of meat instead of a falling saiyan pod). Maybe even throw in Chilled as well, tell the entire Bardock story.
He did pretty decently, he even went giant for the first time since the 23rd Budokai to fight off Cell Max (who's a giant god-tier robotic android created by Gero's grandson and funded by Red's son).
I'm simply not interested in it because instead of cool characters from DB, movies, and GT, we're going to get a bunch of cringe shit from Super replacing them.
As long as the Z essentials are there, I will be fine.
But if they pull some shit like not including Android 17/16 over some literal who from the universe tournament I will be upset.
best case scenario they get one version that can go through all transformations, Z Gogeta could be a costume and base Vegito (Super) didn't do jack shit
It'd probably be best if Vegetto and Gogeta have SSB added to their arsenal (as well as base for Gogeta). With Gogeta specifically, if DBZ Goku and Vegeta fuse they should get the orange vest, and DBS Goku and Vegeta should get the yellow vest, different default costumes.
If the option for main story is a super abridged version like Tenkaichi 3 then i don't really give a shit what they do with the story, but if it's painfully long like Tenkaichi 2 then i'm all in for that main plot
It gets really ridiculous, but man... All that fighting and voice acting in between... I don't know i really crave that again, i think what bothered me the most in Tenkaichi 2 was the ammount of loading, it had loadings between each transition from fight to cutscene and they weren't short

This makes 164 slots covered. 63 different characters. Obviously this isn't 100% accurate to who will and will not be final roster, they may not have Super Hero stuff yet or might condense Ginyu force or something, but this is a realistic ballpark of who'll be there for launch.
Maybe some more would be skins over slots, and then some movie people like Cooler. But yeah its likely mostly this.

Why would manga characters be in there? Also, if the japanese site is anything to go by, it seems like they're merging early and late piccolo into one.

NTA, but I personally think Piccolo (Early) was renamed to just Piccolo to give Piccolo (Super) (The new late) his Awakened and Orange transformations.

Maybe maybe not. These could be TOP outfits since their movesets wouldn't be all that different. Same with Krillin. I don't think they'd include the full U6 team since most are irrelevant.

I could see them including manga characters since that's the continuation of Super they want to market. This game is a giant advertising service so it's extremely likely they'll include manga stuff to point people to the manga.

Basically the biggest movie villains in the franchise, who are also characters that've been in nearly every DBZ game.
I'm curious to see how they're going to handle DLC. They could just give us 1 or 2 characters per pack like FighterZ does OR they could add a story and some additional things like Xenoverse sometimes does.
If they're going to hold important characters hostage Ideally something like a bundle would be the best choice. Like if they made Bardock DLC, they would have to add in all his crew, make a story about Father-of-Goku, add in a what-if story, and a planet vegeta map. Realistically we're probably just getting 2 characters and maybe some costumes.
I could see Fasha returning and Toma becoming playable, but the other two could probably just pop up in Toma's moveset, Babidi-style. It wouldn't surprise if they added Gine with them and gave her a Tarble-styled moveset (except her ult uses a big slab of meat instead of a falling saiyan pod). Maybe even throw in Chilled as well, tell the entire Bardock story.

It'd probably be best if Vegetto and Gogeta have SSB added to their arsenal (as well as base for Gogeta). With Gogeta specifically, if DBZ Goku and Vegeta fuse they should get the orange vest, and DBS Goku and Vegeta should get the yellow vest, different default costumes.

It gets really ridiculous, but man... All that fighting and voice acting in between... I don't know i really crave that again, i think what bothered me the most in Tenkaichi 2 was the ammount of loading, it had loadings between each transition from fight to cutscene and they weren't short
Honestly, I'd prefer both. The Tenkaichi series always tends to have full what-if stories on top of the original story anyways.

Not very high, unless it turns out that the roster thing was misleading and the thing pans out in the next trailer to reveal more spaces.
Also, I'm assuming you're talking about from that interview with the two french streams. I'd take that with a grain of salt. This fanbase puts too much stock into what ecelebs say, taking a pictures with the devs doesn't automatically make them credible, anyone attending the project could have done that.
