look, i dont want to be this negative, but Bamco has proven they will NEVER make a game just as big as BT3 ever again, at least not without the MMORPG stuff Xenoverse has and without charging DLC pack after DLC pack.
and then theres the issue that we still have no news. why are they trying to run away like they are doing? because they know and they are ready to scam the shit out of people, hence they need to make people wait as much as possible as to leverage the obvious violent backlash that will come once people realize the game is not gonna even be close to BT3 contentwise.

I thought so too, my second theory is that Jump Assemble game, Ussop, Krillin, and Koro Sensei, but Dragon Ball and Borderlands are usually the only two games he voices 3 characters for and Kakarot and Xenoverse have only made him do 2 so far. (And by the time that tweet came out, the Kakarot DLC had already showed its trailer so he could have talked about it).
My actual guess is he's just redubbing lines from BT3. Either General Blue is making it in or Giro.

I honestly hope this isn't true, but I'm beginning to think everything in that trailer was made *for* Battle Hour and basically them saying "Hey, we're developing this, stay tuned!" and the reason why we haven't seen any news yet is because by then they probably didn't have much done.

Dragon Ball fans have the lowest standards ever. This game could literally be as ugly as Xenoverse (I hope not) with half the roster being DLC and it'd still have fans and people white knighting for it. The *one* line they have is not having the combat be like Ultimate Tenkaichi, and Bamco obviously knows not to make that mistake again.

The CEO of CC2 released a book not too long ago about the development process for their games. Obviously doesn't apply to Spike or Dimps or Arcsys or the others, but you could still put a range on them based on what CC2 has done and it's crazy.

I never really spent much time on these games when I was a kid but thought they were fun.
They have a lot of what-if kind of stuff in them, right? Like fusions and forms that aren't in the show or manga? I'm interested to see that in this game considering I actually really like a lot of the new characters introduced in Super.
I don't know anything about the OCs from Dragon Ball Heroes but am sure whoever they're adding from it are cool DBZ fanfic-tier characters. I don't really know much about the Xenoverse games either. Is it likely that they're gonna add anything from those games, like character creation?

Biggest one right now is that what we saw for the trailer was all just for the teaser and the models and the animations won't look as high quality the next time we see it.

Goku has always had to train his ass off to keep up with the genetically gifted mutants he surrounds himself with, that's DBZ going as far back as Raditz.
Nah. He trains hard, but Vegeta trains harder. Vegeta just doesn't give himself time to rest, so he fricks up his gains. Goku knows when to train and when to rest. He doesn't push his body excessively.
Case in point: After Goku and Gohan came out of the Room of Spirit and Time and blew past Vegeta and Trunks, Vegeta spent another year in there while Goku refused to do the same. Despite spending two years in the Room, Vegeta still failed to catch up to what Goku had accomplished. He worked more than twice as hard as Goku but failed to achieve the same gains.

And what happened afterwards? Goku dies against cell and then proceeds to achieve Super Saiyan 2 and 3 while in Otherworld because he trained so long and so hard that it would have taken him decades if he were restrained by mortal flesh.
Goku being smart enough to know constant training is a detriment doesn't mean he isn't an obsessed autist
