Carnival lrs have pretty much all been really good but carnival coins were an awful decision, they should've just improved yellow coins, now yellow coins are useless.
The banners have improved as we all knew they would, but they still fricked over yellow coin banners and everyone with a stockpile below 500, and time will never change that.

Carnival exclusive LRs are, like the name implies, exclusively avaiable on dragon carnival summons that explicitly features them in the pool.
Gohan restores 50%hp per turn with a piccolo on rotation, links up well with buutenks, and also gives allies some critical hit chance so be sure to run him on Transformation boost buu team since you'll be brought back to full every turn
Goku is a 40% universal support that also disables enemy guard. Not much to say he's a basic goku but he has gaze of respect so I guess he fits on teams with piccolo better than normal. Run him with full dodge in slot 3 but otherwise I'd say they're both a hard skip

I don't disagree about the name of the game being playing for consistent rng but from my experience back in the day my gogeta used to double super basically every turn because of max aa, the extra attack means he's going to be doing that minimum now.
Gogeta just became lr cooler on crack, I fully expect opinion to favor him once people get their hands on these two.
plus the game is very different from when these two came out back in the day. nowadays you can afford to play a little riskier because you've got revival to take care of bad rng.
Gogeta will be more consistent this time around IMO. He will always have 3-4 stacks on his first turn transforming, while vegito has 2-3 frequently and 3-4 rarely. SE normals are greatly underrated as well so it's not like Gogeta is doing zero damage if his 30% doesn't activate. At the very least 2 additional normals are doing the same amount as 1 additional super.

What am I getting at is they made them better, sure, but they're still fundamentally flawed due to their shitty transformation turn conditions and build up with meager base defense.

if one appears on turn 1 or 2, you put it in slot 3 and they tank really well and then the next time they appear they transform and you get a guaranteed dodge and can easily build them up to max in one turn and they're good to go
and if you want you can leave them on the main rotation since their atk&def is great or you can float them since they're still dodging 70% in slot 3

Bro they'll end your run before they transform and their best turn is still less than coolers. They're basically the same unit of ending your run if they get locked in slot 1 but cooler just has a higher power ceiling. The EZA didn't actually fix any of their problems. Turn 1 dodge should have been given to the base forms so you can build up at least a little uninterrupted without risking six digit normals because of their 100k defense lol. They still need good turns in base to reach their mythical "fully built up they're some of the best units" status.

So that's 2 turns after the 3 or 4 turn required for transforming ( I forgot how many it is), so best case scenario it's 4 turns before reaching that full passive. That's not great
They transform from the start of turn 4, so assuming that he appears on odd turns and he has 16 AA, he has a 32.8% chance of getting his full passive out before turn 7, which I personally think it's fine.
You should be under 50% Hp of most bosses last stage's by that point, so you can get his Active off and let him rip.

That's a whole lot of turns. They should've covered it by giving them guard for 4 turns or something. Looking at them as they are now they look like great floaters but that's essentially it.
They have 100% chance to dodge on the turn they transform, so you're going to be running them in slot 1 on their transforming turn. Gogeta gets guaranteed 3 attacks from their passive once he transforms, so you'll just need an additional from his HP to get his full passive in one turn. If you give him full additional, as you should, he literally has 3 50% chances to proc his HP additional. You would have to be a mega lucklet to not get his full passive in a single turn. Vegito will usually need two turns to get his full passive out though, unless you float him the turn he transforms, then he'll be guaranteed to get it in a single turn.

This is fine for gogeta since you can just throw AGL Gogeta up front. TEQ VB in the front slot is not as hot.
Seems they'll just be great as floaters when you're looking for stuff to fill the team, or excel in slot 2 if they have a great partner up front. Vegetto could get away with INT in the front if you had to heal already, but that's a pretty specific requirement.

First, neither of those is really ideal in slot 1, if Gogeta doesn't dodge he gets fisted hard before super.
Second, they have a nearly 1:1 linkset, Gogeta AGL can be used with Vegito LR and Vegito TEQ can be used with Gogeta LR without any problems.
Anyway, if it's against CellMax or Cooler they can just use TEQ Godku, and for the other cases you can just run them under Piccolo or V&T (just Vegito in their case).

Gogeta has an 86% chance to launch a HiPo additional, and he already attacks 3 times when transformed from his passive, so he's essentially guaranteed a 1 turn buildup. Vegito super attacks 4 times guaranteed in slot 3, so he also completely builds up his full passive in a single turn if you float him off.

70% chance to dodge will never get old as long as they can tank normals for double digits, and for them to actually take damage from normals, bosses would have to be hitting 700k normals. It's been a year since Red Zone Broly, and they haven't released a stage that cancels dodging. Lr frieza and namek goku technically work the same way. But the difference is they dont have guarenteed extra attacks in slot 2 or 3 just the 1 chance so you don't really see the effect

The gap isn't as crazy as you think. Vegito will get the additional supers off but if he doesn't crit then his damage is still ass. Even when Gogeta doesn't super he's still doing 5-6m normals while critting. If you've used Cooler you'd know how quickly that damage stacks up.
Stacking super is a huge asset for survivability though.

Support passives have aged really badly because of how much start of turn stat buffs ballooned. It's better for units with mid-turn buffs, but only half your current team comp applies, so you're not missing much.

yeah, the active skill counts as an attack so if they use their active in slot 3 and you move them to slot 1 or 2, they keep the dodge chance and the guaranteed super on top of all the stuff they do in slot 1 and 2. Vegito can legit do 6 supers in a row

Vegeta actually gets all his defense mid turn but before getting hit according to twitter. 6 orbs is a tough condition, but it's not impossible and you're not dead in the water if you can't.
He gets no damage reduction if he doesn't get 6 orbs to get to 15 ki, so he is essentially dead in the water without it.
You can survive with 375k defense.
With 375k defense, he's taking 80k per normal from red zone Broly, a year old red zone event.

As for the meta, let's wait for Omega and then judge because Red Ribbon Red Zone and the 6 other Shadow Dragons are more or less on at the same level.

Relatively? Frick no. The Krillin and 18 were putting up some crazy numbers, roshi was almost as good as the anni units themselves, and other units were crazy too. Metal coolers under their dedicated Carnival LR are barely runnable in easier content. Actual shit like later red zone stages destroys them with normals even with multiple orbs for def and double supers. They're complete garbage compared to how good f2p units were around 6th anni. I have fond memories of how crazy peppy gals got with Kakunsa, Ribrianne, and Rozie.

Babidi is alright, but the Bejita standby is garbage. According to some quick calcs I did, Babidi ill be at around 203k defense before attacking, and will get over 425k defense once he supers, with a 50% chance to dodge against super class and support. That's not bad. Bejita on the other hand, has 188k defense on his standby turn. He has to take an attack for his defense to essentially double and gain 40% damage reduction. Now that's not that bad, unless you get super attacked immediately, but you need 15 ki, and he starts the turn out with 9. His ki links are shit and he doesn't change orbs, so getting 6 orbs consistently will be unfeasible unless you run a support on rotation, but he has no good supports.
There are way too many potential supports that could eza sooner or later. Not saying that the standby isn't disappointing, he needed way more, but phy dabura is a perfect example that would actually link up with the babidi too.

The problem with redzone was that the new meta fricked everyone boxes and even if the new units were on par with it the rest of the units weren't which made the entire experience fricking terrible.
People are now "crying" because they units are fricking based and their teams are also on par with the events, they were just mindbroken by the og release of redzone and how fricking shit it was that a team performing as they should is now something to cry about somehow
how bad was redzone when it first came out? i started in wwc and my cooler teams washed every single one lol
Only a handful of units for each lead were able to withstand it and there was a lot of luck involved since you would have to count on you being able

Overall you could not account for error and was entirely based on luck. I beat most of those first try because i pulled all units but on retries you can really feel how fricking terrible these events are.
They got a little better after more units were released but just a little after that they decided to release Cell MAX event which only soured everyone even more, especially because you can only bring senzu beans to it and not only it has advantageous units but we had to wait fricking months for them to come out.
It was a shitshow and i am glad it is over.
It was "have the new units or die." The only other clears I saw took advantage of the LR EZAs of part 3 and required fricktons of dupes/luck.
There weren't any other good leads either as we were only just coming off the 130% hp, 170% atk/def meta. Even if you had a good lead like teq Ultimate Gohan, such low health didn't have the survivability to be viable.
I don't like that 8th anni only has 1 tough challenge event as opposed to 2, but that's the only actual problem this year. You can tackle the Shadow Dragons with lots of different teams and even the gimmick shilling stages can be cheesed with any good nuker.

The original redzone power creeped too hard. If we got a new red zone on par with the Red Ribbon Army or Heroes red zone then it would be fine since it wouldn't invalidated our entire box again.
Speaking of those red zones, how come they stopped the ticket summons, while most of the units in the banner are shite I always got atleast a lr in those summons, It kind of sucks not having a red ribbon ticket summon banner

He really needs a dominant slot 1 cell unit to shine, but unfortunately, there are none and no Cell unit even has an EZA coming up.

If I bring the 8th annis however, they don't need dupes or baby-sitting depending on the team to tank and deal lots of damage from turn 1, just GT would prefer them with type disadvantage.

I know I was running him very sub-optimally and I don't think he's shit or anything, but that makes me think he shouldn't be run on any team without also including a Master Student Bond ally.
