i like it, the game has a lot of soul and it's a shame nearly half of it was cut
played it with a x3 enemy mod
played it with a 1-10x enemy size mod
is there a randomiser mod?
need something to keep me occupied for the next 40 or so days
DD2 better have some good music
ironically the only song I remembered from the entire game was the cheesy Jpop intro of the original, the soundtrack was rather boring
what about this? does it not touch your soul?
I like this version
gorgeous
shit youre right, I would often hang around there for the theme alone. now that I think about it there was also this battle theme that got increasingly more "intense" from bitterblack isle, cant find it though
This one?
yeah exactly, danke
Heres the one with all 3 intensities, fricking amazing track
Frick forgot link lol
?feature=shared
I love the cassardis theme. Probably my all time favorite vidya song.
I loved that final battle theme with daimon.
>need something to keep me occupied for the next 40 or so days
play monster hunter
i just finished XX
i need something else
Why would you burn yourself out of playing DD just before DD2 releases?
>burn yourself out of playing DD
is such a thing possible?
is such a thing even possible? there's so many vocations!
i just finished playing as shrek using a punches only build, and that's not even a vocation
i just needed some shit from bitterblack isle i think it was, to make it fun
why not play relink till then? I'm already at the end game just waiting for dd2
>played it with a x3 enemy mod
>played it with a 1-10x enemy size mod
I never tried these because the mod author said they were buggy, were they fun?
>why not play garbage?
I like it, but not a fan of getting locked out of certain quests without warning or not really having any idea as to what to do next sometimes. Overall I dig it, the pawn system is really cool. I look forward to seeing how much the sequel improves everything.
The ending I got was such dogshit, I'm deflated and I don't want to start Bitter Black isle
Did you play through to the actual ending?
>fournival'd
I got julien because I saved his life for his shield
Brine that motherfricker
No I did the prostitute duchess quest, I dunno why my character simped so hard for her, at least he looked happy
The one where the seneschal is revealed to be the arisen you played at the start of the game, you kill him, become the seneschal, then have a nice day and your pawn becomes human is the true ending right? I though it was very shitty, specially after the Grigori confrontation which was fricking amazing
Ending was supposed to take place on the moon, that area and some of the story ended up getting scrapped because Capcom cut the game short.
I see, I kinda liked the whole Everfall concept but it wasn't executed very well, I did hear from another anon that BBI was it's own thing and it was the best part of the game but I can't muster strength to play it after that ending
you really should play it if you can muster the will. it's absolutely necessary to fully appreciate the DD experience. if it matters aught, it has nothing to do with the seneschal stuff.
I prefer the main game to BBI, but it seems to be popular with Souls fans.
>Everfall concept
I really hope they improve the Everfall this time around
Falling endlessly and landing on the parts that stick out, leading to full randomised dungeons, similar to the chalice dungeons from Bloodborne only not shit
Also items and things you achieve passing into other players worlds a bit like Dark Souls 1 with the vagrants and such
It would be cool if you could sometimes find a fractured wakestone shard where another player had died
>relink
Wuts dat, anon?
you do like it then
for me, it's the night time exploration theme.
>that song coming on right as you hit the road with nothing but your pawn and some lanterns to light the way
Genuinely loved how dark nights were in the wild
>Genuinely loved how dark nights were in the wild
a lot of people say that DD clicked for them after reaching gran soren, but for me, it happened the first time I left cassardis. I had dicked around so much in town that it was night time when I left. being brand new to the game, I didn't know about lanterns, so I ended up getting lost in the dark in the small forest just outside the gates. got ambushed by goblins, wolves, couldn't see shit, no time to stop and breathe. I somehow made it back to town without dying, heart racing and covered in blood, most of which was my own. it was the first time I had encountered such a legitimately dark and dangerous night time in a game. and it was at that moment that I knew DD was different. I've been in love ever since.
>I don't like it but for some reason I can't stop playing
It's called SOUL
Gran Soren, home...
Is the PC version of DD1 the only one running at 60fps? I thought the game got a remaster or something. Haven't played since the PS3, loved that they had those Berserk items
'Remaster' was low effort. Literally just a port with the PC version textures. No 60fps either.
PC version can run at up to 150 FPS, and I believe all versions of DDDA on consoles are locked to 30, even on PS4 and XBONE, it's quite stupid.
I just got the Hero achievement on my second playthrough on PC, Reynard's quest was a pain in the butt. It's time to move on to BBI, it's been ages since I first beat it on PS3 and I never defeated Death once. Hopefully there's enough to keep me busy until DD2 is out, I don't remember anything from BBI.
>Hopefully there's enough to keep me busy until DD2 is out
probably not. it's a hefty expansion but it doesn't have 45 days worth of content.
Isn't it meant to be replayed like a rogue-like or something?
kind of. two runs of it clears the whole story. you can keep doing it after that if you want, but there's no real purpose to doing it except to find a specific piece of gear you want or if you just love killing stuff.
Any great mods to use for a replay? Haven't played it since Dark Arisen was released.
Only mod I use is the harpy breasts. Hopefully DD2 has better mod support and community. I want to see more breasts of course but also some gameplay altering stuff if possible.
was that world difficulty mod locked in a dicksword ever finished? something that changes spawns like this would be interesting: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/838
Dragon's Dogma is the best worst game I've ever played. It's great but in a shitty way and it's shit in a great way
>don’t like it can’t stop playing
welcome to vidya padawan
For some reason I always imagined it being a point and click style game with turn based combat. Seems great so far, lots of care taken. Surprised I can run it on high settings 60fps on deck too
>For some reason I always imagined it being a point and click style game with turn based combat.
what the hell? curious to know what exposure you had to DD to get that impression. my first contact being the PS3 demo, i can't fathom how you heard of DD and got that from it.
have fun, newly Arisen.
Ganker has never been my home board, so I only saw it in passing. I think the DD had me thinking of D&D
>I think the DD had me thinking of D&D
13 years and only now do I notice that's probably why it was named that.
