Fighter, Thief and Warrior all seem stupidly fun
Even some of the mage classes seem like a step up from DD1, though I think Magick Archer got nerfed by getting rid of its knives
RIP to Mystic Knight, though. I'll miss Ripostes very, very much
Mage into Trickster. Arisen Support is one of the most underrated ways to play DD1. Feels almost like a tactics game, especially once you know every weakness of every enemy. Pawns will steamroll the game for you and you don't have to wait forever only to get the wrong enchant from a moron Pawn Support.
Fighter into Warrior. Deep in my heart I just want to hit monsters with a big sword. DD2 is the first game I've seen in a long while that looks like it'll scratch my greatsword itch.
But realistically I'll probably try every vocation at least once, same as the first game.
I've never played DD but I love Demon's Souls, so a giant sword and magic are my favorite things. I wanna make a Garl Vinland with the BlueBlood sword basically.

You would have loved mystic knight, which is like a magical tank with unique abilities and enchants.
Mystic spearhand is now the red/blue hybrid but it looks more like a magical assasin with jedi powers rather than an elemental war strategist.
Mystic Knight was just fighter with self buffs instead of having your pawn buff you and two magic attacks. It wasn't an elemental war strategist. It was a shitty, half assed attempt at a magic swordsman that was only fun because you could turn yourself into a fricking Phalanx CIWS.
You're just mad because I'm right. Mystic Knight was a shitty class that had two amusing attacks. The rest of the time you were just playing fighter+. If the novelty of melting your PS3 or 360 with near 0 frames per second didn't do anything for you then you got nothing out of MK.

Great cannon gets set off by attacks, blessed riposte hits constantly. Putting down great cannons and blessed riposting on them sends a load of magic bolts flying at the enemy. The problem is that great cannon only lasts a couple seconds so it gets tedious to rely on it.
March 7th is in two days. And it'll probably drop right after the showcase.
I keep telling myself that I'll go dark soon but if the demo comes out I really will.

And the abyssal buffs, being able to interact with all the elemental nonsense while being a fighter, being able to instantly cast fully charged versions of low level mage spells by parrying? Fighter. Will try out a bunch of stuff though. I suspect I'll end up maining Warfarer (because I loved the hybrids, especially Assassin), Mystic Spearhand or Fighter, but we shall see.

and with the two non trickster hybrids they've shown it leaves us being able to have 2 hybrids of each basic vocation color with yellow/green and green/red, which makes sense since that's 1 more for each color than dd1 and they would have likely designed it to balance the amount of each color hybrid as they did in the first game (like it would have been very strange if there was only mystic knight and assassin but no magic archer in the first game)

I guess it would make sense since adding advanced without basic would create more vocation without bloating the "roster" too much.
If basics are RYGB, then all the additional class can all be secondary colors.
So why do purple and pink only get 1 hybrid each? FYI, plugging a PC into an ungrounded outlet (two prong) can lead to components being damaged/degraded at a faster rate because static electricity has nowhere to safely discharge.
If you have grounded outlets elsewhere in the house, get a good extension cord (12 gauge) and set things up that way.

if he has the full game, the date might not necessarily be related to the release of a demo. reviewers with access to early copies are generally under embargo until a specific date (which can vary between publishing a written review, showing gameplay footage, showing late-game footage, cutscenes etc)

I don't think it looks too different from DD1's art design, but I do agree that the first game has a really great aesthetic. I think DD1 WAS trying to be realistic too, though. The geography of the world is very realistic compared to most fantasy games. Sure it's compressed but you could see that kind of terrain in real life going from the mountains to the coast in Italy.

Am I the only one who doesn't care how many vocations there are, as long as there are a couple I like? There are 14 weapons in MH but I only play two or three per game.

Mage into Trickster. Arisen Support is one of the most underrated ways to play DD1. Feels almost like a tactics game, especially once you know every weakness of every enemy. Pawns will steamroll the game for you and you don't have to wait forever only to get the wrong enchant from a moron Pawn Support.

Great cannon gets set off by attacks, blessed riposte hits constantly. Putting down great cannons and blessed riposting on them sends a load of magic bolts flying at the enemy. The problem is that great cannon only lasts a couple seconds so it gets tedious to rely on it.

and with the two non trickster hybrids they've shown it leaves us being able to have 2 hybrids of each basic vocation color with yellow/green and green/red, which makes sense since that's 1 more for each color than dd1 and they would have likely designed it to balance the amount of each color hybrid as they did in the first game (like it would have been very strange if there was only mystic knight and assassin but no magic archer in the first game)

FYI, plugging a PC into an ungrounded outlet (two prong) can lead to components being damaged/degraded at a faster rate because static electricity has nowhere to safely discharge.
If you have grounded outlets elsewhere in the house, get a good extension cord (12 gauge) and set things up that way.

I don't think it looks too different from DD1's art design, but I do agree that the first game has a really great aesthetic. I think DD1 WAS trying to be realistic too, though. The geography of the world is very realistic compared to most fantasy games. Sure it's compressed but you could see that kind of terrain in real life going from the mountains to the coast in Italy.

Am I the only one who doesn't care how many vocations there are, as long as there are a couple I like? There are 14 weapons in MH but I only play two or three per game.

In the first game, shorter characters run slower (sprinting is the same speed). You'll also weigh less which reduces how much you can carry.

It's either of them or neither. A demo could help to gauge how much upgrading I would need to do.
UO is on switch. It's probably pretty easy to emulate and you can always get the game later if you want one of the physical editions.
