Nicest looking UI I've seen in a big game in probably a decade. I have no idea what made so many developers think coping Apple UI of all things would be good for video games.
the pause menus and shit are nice
but the main game hud ui is a bit lacking
its like skyrim, black and white corpo minimalistic look
i know dd1 didn't have the best UI either but it had its own charm all the same
yeah sure but there was something nice about it, it looked hand made, or whatever
the hp bars weren't centralised and the pawn dialogue wasn't smack bang in the middle of the screen
i hope we get HUD customisation options like Monster Hunter had
failing that someone better make a UI tweaker mod so I can move shit around because i hate the skyrim-ified UI
its my one and only complaint, i ain't no doomer poster, i just don't like the black and white UI
it's far too generic for a game like this
most vidya companies put noob artist in UI design position. No experienced artist want to stay in that position because it pays way less than other ones like character design or background designs. Literally the only company that pays well their UI designer is atlus, and that's why their menus tend to be so good.

the best UIS were in the 90s and 00s, I think god of war ps4 pissed me off the most as the original series had a very good UI and menu screens also..
Game of the millenia coming through lads, or at least for those that are into medieval fantasy kino.
BIG, guess they weren't lying with the 4x times the size thing. Didn't Itsuno say he had to told the team to control themselves because it was starting to be TOO big?
Not really by modern standards. It'll be a good size (bit bigger than skyrim), but not huge like Elden Ring etc. People forget how tiny the first game is, it's like 1/3rd the playable area of skyrim. So 4X DD1 will be a decent size (especially without mounts to speed up travel), but not huge compared to modern peers.

I can see a moon dungeon, but more likely as DLC imo. It could be the BBI of DD2.
they're both the real one. mine is the full thing

the gray is water
The grey areas appear to be water, but in the second image some of the water is no longer displaying as gray on the map. Doesn't seem like a good design choice for the edges of the sea to show up and the center of it to be gray forever. Does this mean we're getting boats?
They've confirmed brine yeah. There's been some speculation on whether or not it's going to be present throughout the whole game, mainly due to Talos (the big golem thing) having some brine-esque effects on it and rising form the ocean. So some anons suggested that maybe after defeating him you clear out the brine. Highly unlikely imo, but would be neat.
It was a pretty small map, but that's not inherently a bad thing. I like being able to know how to get from any point on the map to any other point just by virtue of knowing the land, I had the same thing when I played KCD on hardcore mode and had to properly navigate by landmarks and roads instead of quest markers. But for the grand fantasy feel Itsuno intended a bigger map is probably better.
my problem with DD's map was that more than half of the world map was nothing, just mountains or the sea. I felt quite disappointed the first time I revealed it completely. Also, that closed door at the end of the Shadow Fort... damn.
>mfw I run to conqs sanctuary in the bottom left and there's frick all there.
Left of witchwood and south of shadow fort is pointless, drake that's it, area north of gran soren until the path to bluemoon tower is the same. I love the game but base game has watergods alter, bluemoon tower, route to the greatwall and the greatwall itself, everything else is boring, post-game carries it.

Dark Arisen is brilliant though.
Problem is that in DD the only thing really worthwhile in the overworld was the big monster fights and a few optional quest items like that ring that makes you cast faster. The drake at conquerors sanctuary is the coolest discovery in the entire overworld.

I liked exploring those places but yeah, not a single reason to come back one you are done.
The performance is the issue noone is talking about. Several players noted it in the TGS demo, it fluctuated wildly from 20 to 60, Capcom assured them that this was not intended and this was an eariler build and will be addressed, but how many times have you heard that.
doubtful. DD1 is beloved despite its flaws, and DD2 is just polished DD1. I really can't imagine anything being so terrible that it significantly sways board opinion of it toward the negative. besides shazamhomosexuals of course. they'll exaggerate every tiny imperfection as if it ruins the entire experience.
for 2012, dragon's dogma was graphically outdated, it wasn't even 720p, it was letterboxed, and it couldn't hold 30 fps in any area, and that got it crucified. 2 is looking to have nearly every single problem minus letterboxing 12 years later. it has an atrocious framerate in an era where normies got 60 fps everything, except starfield, which got obliterated by them. it's graphically outdated in an era where every game has to have 8k uncompressed dirt textures, and every brick in a building being 3d scanned, and it's clearly not even hitting 900p, with blurry upscaling. it's hitting every single bullet point for getting killed in reviews, unless capcom spends top dollar on 9s. will it be good? of course, 1 was good, the problem is it has the best chance out of every capcom game of failing spectacularly, as it's not an establish brand name for them. i'm very worried. capcom is currently getting killed for dropping their new shady malware drm into games, and those games simply not working anymore. dd2 comes with that.
>why are you worried about reviews?
because the old out of touch grandpas that run capcom look at reviews, and money. if the reviews and money are bad, it's all over.
the game will be out by then, so what's the problem? even if they pull it out of stores i'll already have my copies

We dont want post launch dlc to be cancelled. You know a game this ambitious has to cut content to get it out the door, right? The suits need to see a profit incentive.
homie Dragon's Dogma was refered to as a "Skyrim but worse" and we are getting a sequel now.
Game looks kino amd even the normies like fantasy stuff thanks to GoT and Elden Ring, so the came really couldn't come out at a better moment.
Honestly even if DD2 bombs, I'll still be happy if it's a good game. It'd be nice if Itsuno actually gets rewarded for his passion, but the fact that we're getting it at all is reward enough for me.
>why are you worried about reviews?
because the old out of touch grandpas that run capcom look at reviews, and money. if the reviews and money are bad, it's all over.
Eh my only real concern for DD2 is that they might get greedy with MTX or try and shove their new capcom ID into it like they did with exoprimal and SF6.
Neither of those are things that will get it bad reviews, gamers just accept that stuff now.
Probably a shit design, that bump in the middle would just make it harder for the sword to sink in. You often have the inverse where the sword is indented in the middle, partially for style and partially to prevent the flesh from forming a vacuum seal and making the sword harder to pull out, but doing the reverse is stupid.
Yes I'm being pedantic shut up
>Disa
Pretty good, her personality might ruin it >Doireann
An OK elf, I prefer ones that are more alien looking personally >Ulrika
Will be the fan favorite due to the girl next door look, although I do like her as an archer. >Wilhemina
For those who want to bawdmaxx, basically a modern Madeleine except less cheeky (presumably) >Menella
I feel like she'll probably be a pretty boring stoic soldier, she looks ok >Nadinia
A superior design, also seems to have a fairly meek personality which is cute
I genuinely don't get what do so many people see in Ulrika. Her design is as generic and boring as it can get, and her face is nothing special, in any other game I'd assume that's a randomly generated face for some one time npc. All in all I really think every single design for the main girls this time around is worse than the DD1 cast.
Why, because I can compare the boobs of two girls in the same game series? You don't need to get all butthurt that I talked badly about your yet-to-exist waifu.

Won what? I'm talking about Ulrika, not a different random npc.
Anon, her competition is: >Old evil prostitute >Snooty elf >Actual prostitute >Ugly cat tomboy >Ugly cat princess
The only decent looking girl aside from her is Doireann and she hasn't been shown off as much, of course people will default to Ulrika.
I guess it's for people who are self-conscious about how they'll appear for liking the "wrong" one. But I guess it's par for the course with Japanese waifu stuff, Persona is exactly like that.
Honestly I am going for Doireann if we're going by looks alone. I don't care Ulrika has been shown off more, she's genuinely one of the most boring designs for a fantasy girl I've seen. Doireann at least is inevitably going to bring some culture shock narrative to go with it. Maybe Nadinia if there's a really interesting culture shock + ruler plotline there that's so good I can just ignore the fact she looks like my housecat, but I kinda doubt it because Aelinore in 1 wasn't precisely the best option.
So? Why are you such a sexist, racist pig? Cat ladies can't be good and thoughtful waifus? What's your problem? Watch her end up being a better character than all the human shit girls.

Because I'm not sexually attracted to an actual cat.
Unironically a woman looking like she can take a beating is a plus to me. Not even intending to beat her or anything, I just don't like girls that look too dainty, like you would snap her spine if you ever rough fricked her.
I hope they let you have some record of the lodoss war long ears, clipping be damned. This is a Japanese game afterall, no need to limit yourself to the subtle LOTR elf ears.

I know it's just Dante style switching but does this mean wayferer can learn different skills than a main vocation can like hybrid skills or is my english bad and it just means he learns all their same skills? I really want wayferer to have at least some hybrid skills or something.
Is it not enough that you can set up with magic support and then combo with martial skills? There's going to be insane shit like instant reset complementing greatsword skills
The lower stats was all that was mentioned so far. You mentioned slower casts but it can in fact use the vocation-specific action of what it switches to, so it can use things like Quickspell.
I streamed the original game to my friend around the time 2 was announced and forgot exactly what my pawn looked like. >ah yeah, you make them smaller and it is like, it's like utility, yknow?
I usually make a bropawn but a long time ago I made a e-girl blue haired pawn on my PS4 new game save and forgot about it.
Since your pawns appear to friends costing 0RC to hire, a friend out of the blue said he hired my pawn and it carried him through base game. >"Your sorcerer pawn was awesome." >"Yeah, right, I love that old dude." >"Old dude? It was a little girl" >"Haha, are you sure? Crazy. I must've changed him to a girl because weirdos like hiring e-girls." >"Yeah I totally understand that haha"

Where is the option to hide my weird fetishes from people I know irl but still allow people to hire my pawn? WHY CAN'T I BE ANONYMOUS IN A SINGLE PLAYER VIDYA GAME?
If there's not a fight like halfway through the game where the OST is just 90% electric guitar the game is shit. I cannot believe they'd watch Makino compose https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1Q_595qu_A and not ask him to do something similar for DD2.
DD1 map was tiny even for its time so 4X that isn't going to be massive.
It'll be a good size for an open world game with no mounts, but smaller than other modern aRPGs. That's assuming they're not downplaying the size by saying 4x, of course.
I want to be able to give my pawn one. It bugs me when games have stuff like this in the game for NPCs but don't gave the player the same option. Same with other little immersive things, like NPC's being able to sit down in taverns or outside but the player can't.
>planning on making my pawn a bro to adventure with >new trailer shows off some cats >immediately change what my pawn is going to be
I'm not a furry.... but.... I really hope there is a way to hide my pawn from everyone, because my two brothers are gonna be playing this game on release and there is no way I won't be able to do this.
Do we know if there will be time-limited quests?
I hated that shit in the first one. You walk too far in a direction, and the game just silently cancels like eight quests and you can never talk to some NPCs again, despite them still being alive.
>pawns can get the dragonplague while in other worlds >in theory the more your pawn is used, the higher the chances of it getting it >all the coomer pawns become disease ridden messes
Do we know if the dragonplague is an actual gameplay mechanic or just a plot point? Like your pawns don't get infected, but the villains are infected pawns.
It's said to make pawns "conspicuously bold in their speech and behavior" so it probably makes them stronger but also ruder. It's likely that your pawn can really catch it out in the world, but you can decide to try and cure it if you want.
>pawns are supposed to be soulless flesh puppets who follow the Arisen without question >dragonvirus causes them to develop souls >pawn tries to ursurp the Arisens place. mirroring the ending where your loyal pawn assumes your place in ng+ after you commit sudoku
Kino incoming lads.
>same ending where your pawns soul enters your body after you become seneschal >business as usual
but then >your pawn is completely corrupted and the corruption has seeped into their very soul >pawn transfers a corrupted soul into a pure vessel, free of physical blight >soul can now mature without killing the host, becoming even deeper dragonplagued and mutating or evolving into something else >due to the nature of the rift and world's between, the previous corpse has ties and access into the source >ends up becoming a big fricking evil dragon, completely aberrant to the seneschals design >it looks like that big monster with the corrupted purple flower on its back from the art book >you have to go through the game again to actually fight this secret boss after achieving this cursed ending >becomes the ur dragon, which is now unlocked
would be cash
That dragonsplague involves online interaction with pawns and and the mutated dragon we briefly saw in the trailer, I'm pretty sure it'll involve the Ur Dragon somehow.
In DDDA modifying your pawn could get them banned. I think you could do whatever you wanted to the player, just not to the pawn that gets uploaded online.
iirc that was only a thing when stats were affected beyond what they should be, ie. basic check boxes. so if it's the same basic system, removing a specific thing wont matter since you'd only have to "uncheck" that box. as long as your pawn doesn't have wildly modified stats, it should be fine.
I found a Fighter pawn with a shield and the Dwells-in-Light longsword. No skills equipped because I think it conflicts with how the game should work.
It's still in my favorites list and pops up from time to time.
Meant more like skyrim walking on top of the mountains. If you have to go the same way at all times from one point to the next it's going to be boring as frick like with the orignal world. Sure as hell also hope that enemies don't spawn on the exact same locations.
have the same gloves but different chest armor. What’s going on?

Doomer answer: they reused the same gloves in multiple armors because they're lazy
Optimistic answer: the game has properly segmented armor pieces like the first game, they just simplified it for the demo

huh. Still, I think it's likely they are just reusing same gloves for different "upper armor" pieces.

Maybe gloves are under the torso section the same way undergarments are under the leg and torso sections? I really hope so.
From what I understood travelling will have random events but I can't imagine they wouldn't have fixed spawns at all.
It may be open-world, but I can't imagine they'd have players move from point A to point B, largely following the same route, without there being some level parity between the players when arriving at their destination/having had different but equally action-filled experience.
If you attack people jn gran soren before everfall, guards can just teleport you to prison once they're in range of you, and there's no way to avoid it other than to just outrun them until you're out of the city.
iirc npcs respawn after you "kill" them once you reload the area they're in.
I wish games weren't so terrified of you missing out on content that they take away options like this.
It's possible, but you have to be quick.
You might be able to get away with assaulting one npc in the market before you have to book it straight to the main gate.
Really hope they expand on that system in 2.
>we've seen roman style shields sitting around >we've seen normal spears sitting around >we've seen the guard with a longspear
It has to be happening. I don't believe they'd add these in just as props without their being any related vocation for them. Let me bash a gobo with my shield and then do a running jump to impale him to the ground
some polish dude wrote his preview saying it's one of the most vertical open worlds he's played, so I bet you can go through mountain roads to cross them aside from just bordering them.
should i go for it and play DD1 anons? it’s cheap on steam but seems like a lot of jank to get through.
what’re the story/setting/characters like? i love elden ring btw
Story execution is full moron and out of the blue but the actual concept is a simple medieval fantasy twist on dharma. Not exceptional, not bad.
Characters are mostly non-existant but you'll might grow frond of a certain manlet and another bald dude.
Also a big titted israeliteess and a she-goat as bonuses.
>dragon is introduced >we need to kill the dragon >wolves hunt in packs. Goblins hate fire. >dragon is killed
Thats all I remember from my playthrough. The story is not structured well.
NTA but the amount of people I know who killed the Dragon and quit before finishing the Everfall subquest is immense.
Maybe people thought it was just some extra endgame?

I didn't realize there were changes to the overworld, I just b-lined it for gran soren and the everfall, and once I was in the everfall I didn't realize I could get out so I just went straight for the ending without experiencing any other postgame stuff.
tbh anon i played dd1 a frickload and I do not remember whatever the frick happened with grigori other than a shitty cinematic fight
the main game in general is a complete blur and 99% of what I remember is BBI.

The main game is structured in general irrelevant or filler "main quests" you do chores for the Duke as an excuse to explore the map while revisiting some of the big dungeons here and there.
Then the unspecified evil cult attacks somewhere, the dragon kills their leader then challenges you.
There's no buildup for that at all.
Then things go from 0 to 100 in a blink and you go from killing the Dragon to learning what's all about being an Arisen and the Seneschal stuff. And also you get to infer that Dragons are failed Arisen.

Do we need more than that?
To be fricking honest the worst thing in 1 was that moronic rng grind even to get 2% loot in chests and repetitive stuff.
If that's gone or reworked into a better post-game it'd matter much more than big maps.
And if it's the same, not even big maps would salvage it.
Can I play as a girl and romance cute and STRONG boys?
I saw the first game, where your potential boyfriend gets pushed around by little goblins and you have to rescue him and I was disgusted. They need to be strong as well.
I'm stoked warrior got buffed and is a bit harder to play. I'm gonna make a brick shit-house of a lionman warrior and a loose healbot pawn, just like the gods intended.
I've been playing DD:DA in preparation for DD2. I've killed Daimon once, but I hear I have to nuke his ass 7 more times for the "true ending". Is that true?
You don't get any new ending proper for killing his second form anyway.
It's an extra boss with a little more dialogue in his cutscenes and much better loot and difficulty, though.
Kinda hard with anything other than Yellow Vocations but far from impossible if your weapons are up to date. Just takes a little longer than usual.
Good luck!!
Here anon, this will give you the power to move the release date as you please. PRANKED, now you cannot interact with Dragon's Dogma 2 or any other game
I really loved the old map, even though it was empty as frick and it only had goblins and thieves. and WOLVES THAT HUNT IN PACKS.
But the town was really nice, I loved the greyness and how it looked like continental europe, including some castles, instead of some 6 year old child's high contrast playhouse (WoW aesthetic).
I hope they don't cuck on the lewd outfits being female only, the seethe would be delicious

Shame the arm slot got axed. So many cool bonuses for arm-related equipment will be lost... no more quick climbing gloves I guess
The cope is that armour customization exists and maybe gauntlets/gloves is part of that.
>Was originally planned to release in Q2 2022 but got
I don't believe the game was ever slated to be a 3 year or less cycle, that is absolutely moronic for a modern open world title much less one trying to do what they are trying to do with DD2. Q2 was either provisional or some internal date for a workforce shift.
Something I don't often see talked about in these threads, so I'll bring it up: what do we think the "twists" are going to be? Is it just going to be everfall into seneschal again, or is it going to be cuhrazy? This is what I'm looking forward to most, personally. Say what you will, but I actually loved the overall plot of DD:DA. Pure kino
I've said this in a previous thread but the cultural hatred the Beastren have of pawns either stems from them being cursed by the dragon(s) (think human > beastren type of curse, which would make sense with the humanoid features they maintain) or they are granted some arcane knowledge by someone who opposed the wheel, knowing only that the Arisen and his thralls are tools of the Seneschal. Stuff like the sovran not being a primarily hereditary seat, but knowing that the actual Arisen wouldn't be around to take the throne if he achieved his goal, but that also anyone who takes the deal wouldn't be dying so the whole Disa thinks her son is going to inherit the throne, it all makes little sense in the context of the wheel turning the same as it does in the original game. Really the only idea we have of where it could go is Itsuno saying that the main story is based around the Arisen becoming the sovran, which basically gives us nothing and is probably more misdirection than anything.
I have little faith in Capcom to pull out a good RPG story, they've never been great at writing (I think DMC3 is probably their best game from that perspective, which is honestly pretty pathetic) but I'm hoping they are able to pull something around for this one.
>I don't believe the game was ever slated to be a 3 year or less cycle
Hey just passing on the info we know from the Capcom hack. There's a chance that it was planned to be smaller but it got bumped from a mid-level title to a frontrunner after the covid delays
I don't think we know exactly how long it's been in development, it was announced in 2022 but they didn't show any footage then so presumably it was in a rough state.
Pure kino
I doubt it'll play out the story the exact same. I'd even say outside of the plot of Grigori doing his thing to intentionally find a worth Arisen it'll probably go completely off the rails. Though rather than the main plot I imagine the biggest changes will be to the sub stories like with the countries and their politics and characters. For the main story I hope there is moon shenanigans.
We know nothing about the cat race except they absolutely *hate* pawns, and do not give a shit about Arisen's as a whole. They worship the glowing catnip and Nadinia just stands next to it.
My guess is Equal Dragon Weapon. Rift crystals are now cyan instead of purple, so I'm guessing we're going to have story arc where we go adventuring inside of The Rift, maybe get more lore. They seem bent on having many factions doing jank at once, so maybe some kind of massive medieval battle or something.
current set of factions (off the top of my head) >Vermund >Vermund resistance >Dragonforged >Rift lady? >Sphinx >Battahl >Dragonsplague >Elves
We already know about the "false" arisen and dragonplague on pawns. Maybe forces are conspiring to make a false seneschal, or just completely destroy the seneschal without replacing him, and the seneschal sent out the dragon to recruit an arisen to help stop this crisis, maybe even changing the natural order of things to have the arisen working together with the dragon due to how dire the situation is.
I wouldn't mind seeing more politics, having them more fleshed out too. I assume both the beastren and elven realms are seperate from the human one, I wonder what their relationship is.
On the seneschal stuff, I know the whole deal is it being cyclical, but I doubt we'll just see a reheat of DD1. DDDA shows there's more to the dragons bargain than a binary choice, there are endless possibilities.
I wonder how your race will affect gameplay. Being beastren likely will, it's a seperate category and all, but what about elves? Are they going to be a seperate category, or just an ear option like in DD1? Since it's all slider-based, is there an ear pointyness treshhold you have to cross before people acknowledge you as one?
Didn't they give the arisen amnesia specifically for this? It also removes the need for different starting locations based on race. But your character doesn't know elvish, even if you're an elf.
It could improve replayability if every race was super unique, but oh well. I'll settle for being occasionally called pointy eared.
I hope there’s an ending / evil sidequest where you knock over the Beastren’s eternal flame or whatever and just let it DIE. Imagine all those stupid fricking cats yowling and screaming with their eyes dilated and running around like little zooming crack addicts after you ruin their immortal treasure that their great great great great great great great grandfathers tended to or whatever LOL
They're cute, I want to give them catnip and tuna and be very condescending to them no matter how much it infuriates them that I'm not taking them seriously and constantly try to pet them
/COMFY/. I'll be annoyed if we can't just sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. skyrim allowed that shit before the first DD came out so there's zero excuses for DD2 not letting us do these little immersive things.
there's a prompt to sit in the side room of that tavern though the music is quieter there. inside just seems to have standing tables but it opens up the possibility for another tavern to have seats inside
Started mine a week or two ago. Currently 100%ing as a class I've never played before (latecomer to the series)
I'd reccomend it, it's not very long so it'll scratch that itch while also leaving you with plenty of time to get hyped about it afterwards.
Hope:
You make one pawn for permanent adventuring, and a second pawn that's exclusively for online sharing
Cope:
I'm making a martial pawn because I know online will be flooded by support bawds.
How about NOW instead? Even if it's just the character creation + a sliver of gameplay like SF6. I want to get some practice in just so my pawn looks great on day one. I bet I'll frick my pawn up now that stuff like torso lenght is a thing, but there are some more handholdy elements that give me hope.
You guys can clown on the guy about the skirts, but they better not fricking cling to a cute pawns body when I'm trying to geek a peek at the silk lingerie.
with the way the loincloth looking things look there's no way upskirts are out
people meme about le ESGcom or whatever the frick but Dragon's Dogma did the bawd equality way before it was cool and it seems as if 2 is going to the same way.
I wouldn't say very few. The sultry sets, both the yellow and red one, the flame set, silk lingerie, princess outfit, mercedes armor, madeleines clothes, the bbi silver c**tguard the fricking rng refuses to give me, and probably some I'm forgetting. The game doesn't have that many armors to begin with, I would argue this is a decent chunk.

>Considering most games have unisex everything
...no? RPGs having sex-separate armor has been pretty much a constant up until recently. Dark Souls is the only other series I can think of that has consistently had unisex-all armor and that's simply because FSs CC is stupidly terrible and you might as well be a clay golem no matter what sex you pick.
If you take a bar of health you can spook it away. It's also very simple in terms of moveset, it looks scarier than it really is. If you're not doing chip damage I'd say go for it.
>If you're not doing chip damage I'd say go for it.
I AM doing chip damage, I have Silver Dragonforged Dragon weapons and im level 90 and im sure most of the damage so far (took away two lifebars) was done by the beacons you can pay 300 RCs to activate.
In that case I'd say go against daimon first then. First time should be really easy and you'll get some tier 3 gear. Once you have lvl 3 dragonforged weapons it'll scare off easier than a griffin.
A really annoying one. I barely do any damage to this damn thing (postgame here) once its armor shatters. And my magical pawn is barely any help despite taking a bar of health away with each attack.
we've been having the argument over armor since the first reveal, nobody will know until a journo has the wherewithal to ask or we get our hands on the game.
personally, I'm betting on layering still being in considering we see Ulrika change out of layers in just the short time we've seen her, meaning NPC outfits aren't baked. what form will that layering take? dunno, but the fact we've seen no changes in the UI since the very first demo means it isn't present like it was originally, at least.
That's a nice interface
Nicest looking UI I've seen in a big game in probably a decade. I have no idea what made so many developers think coping Apple UI of all things would be good for video games.
More items/information ends up meaning they use a less notable UI
The majority of the screen is just apple style glass, it isn't efficient with it's space at all.
I miss Zelda like you wouln't believe
Same, but its dead bro give it up.
the pause menus and shit are nice
but the main game hud ui is a bit lacking
its like skyrim, black and white corpo minimalistic look
i know dd1 didn't have the best UI either but it had its own charm all the same
it's supposed to be minimalistic as to reduce its obviousness during combat. the original game just had black bars and numbers all the same as well.
yeah sure but there was something nice about it, it looked hand made, or whatever
the hp bars weren't centralised and the pawn dialogue wasn't smack bang in the middle of the screen
i hope we get HUD customisation options like Monster Hunter had
failing that someone better make a UI tweaker mod so I can move shit around because i hate the skyrim-ified UI
its my one and only complaint, i ain't no doomer poster, i just don't like the black and white UI
it's far too generic for a game like this
most vidya companies put noob artist in UI design position. No experienced artist want to stay in that position because it pays way less than other ones like character design or background designs. Literally the only company that pays well their UI designer is atlus, and that's why their menus tend to be so good.
Thanks.
it literally has a piss filter
shut up and leave this website homosexual
the best UIS were in the 90s and 00s, I think god of war ps4 pissed me off the most as the original series had a very good UI and menu screens also..
you eat shit, DD2's UI is shit tier
Yeah, that's a beautiful map and UI.
GOTY material right there
SOVLFUL map
lovely ui
cool medieval looking map, kinda reminds me of KCD
How many towns will there be in the game?
two nations, unknown number of smaller villages/settlements
yeah
So which map is the real one?
Also is the bigger one really the full one?
Op is just zoomed in
I get that its zoomed in and both show the capital but the UI elements are clearly different.
oh, op is what shows in the main pause screen. the bigger image is from the map menu specifically
Both are real. One is just zoomed out and shows the unexplored areas as a grey mess.
they're both the real one. mine is the full thing
the gray is water
So if that Gran Soren near the player arrow?
there's no Gran Soren, it's a wholly new map
Game of the millenia coming through lads, or at least for those that are into medieval fantasy kino.
BIG, guess they weren't lying with the 4x times the size thing. Didn't Itsuno say he had to told the team to control themselves because it was starting to be TOO big?
>BIG
Not really by modern standards. It'll be a good size (bit bigger than skyrim), but not huge like Elden Ring etc. People forget how tiny the first game is, it's like 1/3rd the playable area of skyrim. So 4X DD1 will be a decent size (especially without mounts to speed up travel), but not huge compared to modern peers.
Implying we aren't getting a moon map.
I can see a moon dungeon, but more likely as DLC imo. It could be the BBI of DD2.
The grey areas appear to be water, but in the second image some of the water is no longer displaying as gray on the map. Doesn't seem like a good design choice for the edges of the sea to show up and the center of it to be gray forever.
Does this mean we're getting boats?
Anons?
Second landmass to sail to would be unbeliveably kino, also the infinite tower was in the middle of the sea in the old concept images
Imagine...
Ive been imagining really hard for the last couple weeks bro please...
I never really got this in monhun so I would love to see it in dd2
thats one map superimposed on another. the water stays gray
More effort put into this map than the entirety of Starfield combined. Just a shame they forgot to optimise the game afterward.

I'm guessing there's still the brine when you try to go into deep water, right?
yeha
They've confirmed brine yeah. There's been some speculation on whether or not it's going to be present throughout the whole game, mainly due to Talos (the big golem thing) having some brine-esque effects on it and rising form the ocean. So some anons suggested that maybe after defeating him you clear out the brine. Highly unlikely imo, but would be neat.

Probably the nicest looking fantasy world map I've seen since oblivion.
KCD doesn't count because it's not fantasy.

I'm satisfied by the size. It's not like DD was small, but many areas didn't really serve much purpose.
Also, that closed door at the end of the Shadow Fort... damn.
This zoomed out map makes the whole beach and Witchwood area look tiny.
>mfw I run to conqs sanctuary in the bottom left and there's frick all there.
Dark Arisen is brilliant though.
>half the map you can't access in the game, you can only imagine
Ludokino.
Problem is that in DD the only thing really worthwhile in the overworld was the big monster fights and a few optional quest items like that ring that makes you cast faster. The drake at conquerors sanctuary is the coolest discovery in the entire overworld.
Shame about nig nogs and mr popo pawns not being a thing.

Every time I look at her, my chest gets all tight. I NEED HER.
I feel a need, a need to sneed and breed.

I'm sure there are some autists here willing to help me fill this map. let me know if you find any pause menu screen grabs that I can add to it
there's another anon with maybe six orbs worth of map.
I cant shake the feeling that theres going to be something absolutely fricking awful in this game we only find out after the launch.
2 is looking to have nearly every single problem minus letterboxing 12 years later. it has an atrocious framerate in an era where normies got 60 fps everything, except starfield, which got obliterated by them. it's graphically outdated in an era where every game has to have 8k uncompressed dirt textures, and every brick in a building being 3d scanned, and it's clearly not even hitting 900p, with blurry upscaling. it's hitting every single bullet point for getting killed in reviews, unless capcom spends top dollar on 9s. will it be good? of course, 1 was good, the problem is it has the best chance out of every capcom game of failing spectacularly, as it's not an establish brand name for them. i'm very worried. capcom is currently getting killed for dropping their new shady malware drm into games, and those games simply not working anymore. dd2 comes with that.
why are you worried about reviews? i don't care if no one else plays the game and i end up having to use offline pawns as long as i consider it kino
>why are you worried about reviews?
because the old out of touch grandpas that run capcom look at reviews, and money. if the reviews and money are bad, it's all over.
The game will sell gangbusters. Trust the plan. Normoids love this genre.
the game will be out by then, so what's the problem? even if they pull it out of stores i'll already have my copies
Eh my only real concern for DD2 is that they might get greedy with MTX or try and shove their new capcom ID into it like they did with exoprimal and SF6.
Neither of those are things that will get it bad reviews, gamers just accept that stuff now.
>See that Black person? Your beloved can frick him

Interesting sword. It looks like that japanese mythological sword, bust westernized.
*but
Sorry, I got boobs on my mind.

I genuinely don't get what do so many people see in Ulrika. Her design is as generic and boring as it can get, and her face is nothing special, in any other game I'd assume that's a randomly generated face for some one time npc. All in all I really think every single design for the main girls this time around is worse than the DD1 cast.
Seriously. The most unbelievably bland looking character. Like some kind of throwaway GoT side character
>I genuinely don't get what do so many people see in Ulrika.
She has fat breasts
They're nothing special. She's no Madeleine.
something tells me you haven't touched a boobie ever anon, hope I'm wrong
Why, because I can compare the boobs of two girls in the same game series? You don't need to get all butthurt that I talked badly about your yet-to-exist waifu.
Didn't we already see a literal cat milkmaid with giant breasts? I have already won.
Won what? I'm talking about Ulrika, not a different random npc.
Ulrika will be LOYAL unlike Madeleine
Anon, her competition is:
>Old evil prostitute
>Snooty elf
>Actual prostitute
>Ugly cat tomboy
>Ugly cat princess
The only decent looking girl aside from her is Doireann and she hasn't been shown off as much, of course people will default to Ulrika.
I guess it's for people who are self-conscious about how they'll appear for liking the "wrong" one. But I guess it's par for the course with Japanese waifu stuff, Persona is exactly like that.
Nothing gets me hotter than ignoring all the unique dialogue prostitutes and just going for some peasant wife with big breasts.
I did this for most of my DD1 playthroughs (I did do Mercedes once), Netty the Barmaid, Amity the Cultist, Ferris the Traveling Merchant.
Or maybe people aren't attracted to their pet cats or evil women who definitely have herpes.
>tfw Snooty elf gf
Honestly I am going for Doireann if we're going by looks alone. I don't care Ulrika has been shown off more, she's genuinely one of the most boring designs for a fantasy girl I've seen. Doireann at least is inevitably going to bring some culture shock narrative to go with it. Maybe Nadinia if there's a really interesting culture shock + ruler plotline there that's so good I can just ignore the fact she looks like my housecat, but I kinda doubt it because Aelinore in 1 wasn't precisely the best option.
>Maybe Nadinia
Literally has a realistic cat texture for a face.
Yeah, which is why I made sure to specify I'd go for her because she has potential to be a really interesting storyline, not because I like her looks.
So? Why are you such a sexist, racist pig? Cat ladies can't be good and thoughtful waifus? What's your problem? Watch her end up being a better character than all the human shit girls.
Because I'm not sexually attracted to an actual cat.
CUTE cat princess
Now even a furry, but 100% would
>CUTE cat princess

She's an elf, so Finnish.
Uhhh she has an Irish name though??
Irish women are short, broad, and with heavy faces though.
Unironically a woman looking like she can take a beating is a plus to me. Not even intending to beat her or anything, I just don't like girls that look too dainty, like you would snap her spine if you ever rough fricked her.
this furgay pandering is intolerable, why the frick are there animal prostitutes in every rpg now
Doireann needs bigger ears
I hope they let you have some record of the lodoss war long ears, clipping be damned. This is a Japanese game afterall, no need to limit yourself to the subtle LOTR elf ears.

I know it's just Dante style switching but does this mean wayferer can learn different skills than a main vocation can like hybrid skills or is my english bad and it just means he learns all their same skills? I really want wayferer to have at least some hybrid skills or something.
No, it can switch weapons and its active skills change with whichever weapon is currently out.
Is it not enough that you can set up with magic support and then combo with martial skills? There's going to be insane shit like instant reset complementing greatsword skills
Have they announced all of its limitations besides weaker stats? Like maybe slower casts or something?
The lower stats was all that was mentioned so far. You mentioned slower casts but it can in fact use the vocation-specific action of what it switches to, so it can use things like Quickspell.
No sadly it's just using the weapon skills of the other vocations. At best it might have unique augments to unlock, but not even that is for sure.
This vocation isn't really bringing anything new to the table, it's all about switching weapons to create your own pseudo combos.
Basically just an excuse on their part not to give thief or archer any advanced or hybrid vocations.
there can still be advanced, but it makes sense for them to not have hybrids when Warfarer covers them and all other hybrid kinds.
Advanced archer could be a Greatbow or Crossbow class, Advanced Thief could have a few options. Maybe a dual axe berserker class, katana class etc.
The thing is, anon, other starting vocations have advanced and hybrids, it's not fair at all that red and blue get theirs.
I wonder what kind of augments the warfarer will learn.
Faster swapping?
Nothing that specific I think. All augments have to useful to all vocations in one way or another.
Oh so that's what that is. I thought vocation switching was just a default feature everyone had
Itsuno already confirmed pink and purple, plus other combinations that havent been released yet. We getting 25+. Discord troons on suicide watch

DD1 map was tiny even for its time so 4X that isn't going to be massive.
It'll be a good size for an open world game with no mounts, but smaller than other modern aRPGs. That's assuming they're not downplaying the size by saying 4x, of course.

Good. Tired of the brownwashing in games, we could use some variety.
I want to be able to give my pawn one. It bugs me when games have stuff like this in the game for NPCs but don't gave the player the same option. Same with other little immersive things, like NPC's being able to sit down in taverns or outside but the player can't.

Didn't watch any gameplay. Have they revealed Cassardis/Gran Soren yet?
I just wanna visit them again and get hit by nostalgia
It's a different map.
They showed footage of the capital, it's not gran soren I don't think. There's also another capital city in the desert where the kitties live.
Welp as long as their themes will be present somewhere in game, I'm happy
New map, new timeline, new story, new universe. Gran Soren and Cassardis are gone, but there are new equivalents like Vermund
God I love that track. I hope there's something like a memory of an arisen or something that you can find, which lets you glimpse into cassardis.
I believe in Itsuno delivering some insane plot twist that will feature going to cassardis.
Sure hope I can actually go any way I want and it not being linear as frick like the original. How does that even happen? A linear open world.

>pawns can get the dragonplague while in other worlds
>in theory the more your pawn is used, the higher the chances of it getting it
>all the coomer pawns become disease ridden messes

Do we know if the dragonplague is an actual gameplay mechanic or just a plot point? Like your pawns don't get infected, but the villains are infected pawns.
It does SEEM like its actually gonna be a dynamic mechanic based on how they've worded it. Not 100%, but certainly leaning that way.
It's said to make pawns "conspicuously bold in their speech and behavior" so it probably makes them stronger but also ruder. It's likely that your pawn can really catch it out in the world, but you can decide to try and cure it if you want.
>pawns are supposed to be soulless flesh puppets who follow the Arisen without question

>pawn tries to ursurp the Arisens place. mirroring the ending where your loyal pawn assumes your place in ng+ after you commit sudoku
Kino incoming lads.
>same ending where your pawns soul enters your body after you become seneschal
>business as usual
but then
>your pawn is completely corrupted and the corruption has seeped into their very soul
>pawn transfers a corrupted soul into a pure vessel, free of physical blight
>soul can now mature without killing the host, becoming even deeper dragonplagued and mutating or evolving into something else
>due to the nature of the rift and world's between, the previous corpse has ties and access into the source
>ends up becoming a big fricking evil dragon, completely aberrant to the seneschals design
>it looks like that big monster with the corrupted purple flower on its back from the art book
>you have to go through the game again to actually fight this secret boss after achieving this cursed ending
>becomes the ur dragon, which is now unlocked
would be cash
That dragonsplague involves online interaction with pawns and and the mutated dragon we briefly saw in the trailer, I'm pretty sure it'll involve the Ur Dragon somehow.
Hello, Cheat Engine? Yeah, I need help.
Hello, @FBI @VALVE @VACBANS
In DDDA modifying your pawn could get them banned. I think you could do whatever you wanted to the player, just not to the pawn that gets uploaded online.
iirc that was only a thing when stats were affected beyond what they should be, ie. basic check boxes. so if it's the same basic system, removing a specific thing wont matter since you'd only have to "uncheck" that box. as long as your pawn doesn't have wildly modified stats, it should be fine.
You are wrong
I found a Fighter pawn with a shield and the Dwells-in-Light longsword. No skills equipped because I think it conflicts with how the game should work.
It's still in my favorites list and pops up from time to time.
Can I go to the town on top of the mountains or just the roads though that is the question.
We've seen shit like griffin riding but that's not really controlled so most likely you won't be able to just fly to the top of a mountain
Meant more like skyrim walking on top of the mountains. If you have to go the same way at all times from one point to the next it's going to be boring as frick like with the orignal world. Sure as hell also hope that enemies don't spawn on the exact same locations.
You probably can't freely climb mountains, only go along mountain paths.
The DMT wizard
>MyPawn
He's literally mine.
>Huh, wuz dat?!
loose male casting gear...
Goblinos actually thinking about using that twink as a boytoy in their den.
This trickster and the male human warfarer
have the same gloves but different chest armor.
>Rook, that wasn't Greenwarish
From what I understood travelling will have random events but I can't imagine they wouldn't have fixed spawns at all.
It may be open-world, but I can't imagine they'd have players move from point A to point B, largely following the same route, without there being some level parity between the players when arriving at their destination/having had different but equally action-filled experience.
Total Beastren extermination.
I'm hoping you can do a Beatrix style playthrough and go on a furry genocide.
Can't you kill NPCs in 1 and they're gone for good?
You can even attack the Duke and he's OP as frick.
That's too bad. I usually murder people on the road when I get the chance so I never get their names to check out if they respawn.
>there's no way to avoid it other than to just outrun them
>outrun them
hope we get this level of parkour in the sequel, exploring Gran Soren and Cassardis was mega fun
>Strider
Too soon, bro.
That's magic archer you pleb
Who cares, I want Strider back not your fruity elf shit.
It's possible, but you have to be quick.
You might be able to get away with assaulting one npc in the market before you have to book it straight to the main gate.
Really hope they expand on that system in 2.
>we've seen roman style shields sitting around
>we've seen normal spears sitting around
>we've seen the guard with a longspear
It has to be happening. I don't believe they'd add these in just as props without their being any related vocation for them. Let me bash a gobo with my shield and then do a running jump to impale him to the ground
I believe theres still quite a lot we haven't seen.
some polish dude wrote his preview saying it's one of the most vertical open worlds he's played, so I bet you can go through mountain roads to cross them aside from just bordering them.
should i go for it and play DD1 anons? it’s cheap on steam but seems like a lot of jank to get through.
what’re the story/setting/characters like? i love elden ring btw
One of the greatest video game stories, but it happens during the last 5 hours.
I wouldn't go that far, but I do think the story is underrated.
>dragon is introduced
>we need to kill the dragon
>wolves hunt in packs. Goblins hate fire.
>dragon is killed
Thats all I remember from my playthrough. The story is not structured well.
That I agree with
>dragon is killed
You literally and figuratively didn't finish the game.
NTA but the amount of people I know who killed the Dragon and quit before finishing the Everfall subquest is immense.
Maybe people thought it was just some extra endgame?
>Savan trying to gaslight me into fighting him for his "lol you're the Seneschal now" prank
no thanks, I'm going back to Cassardis to plap Quina
I would believe it. Even though if you're paying even a little bit of attention it tells you quite plainly that it's not over, I've seen too many people somehow miss all the fricking dialogue and events after the dragon that make it obvious it isn't fricking over.
And also you get to infer that Dragons are failed Arisen.
>a shitty cinematic fight
That fight was pure kino you soulless golem shaped in the form of man.
>you soulless golem shaped in the form of man.
absolutely gregorian insult. top shelf.
I know theres a part after the dragon but i have no idea how killing the dragon got me there. Plus i dont want to spoil the only good part.
i hope they patch in yellow paint on trails so i know where to go
video games that aren't made by nintendo or FROM don't count
Bet you that's at least 50% of the map right there.
If a game about going on an adventure features going over the same 5 hills over and over then it's not really an adventure.
Wasn't Itsuno jerking off about travel recently? That map looks like you could cross it in 10 minutes tops.
>That map looks like you could cross it in 10 minutes tops.
?????
bro there's two cities
neither of which are likely going to be particularly big
there's one river
you realise that's only part of the map, right? Theres two capitals but multiple smaller settlements
nah man that dude literally beleives the entire game takes place in 10 minutes of play area, he so sincerely believes that and isn't talking shit
Can I play as a girl and romance cute and STRONG boys?
I saw the first game, where your potential boyfriend gets pushed around by little goblins and you have to rescue him and I was disgusted. They need to be strong as well.
Sorry anon your strong man is going to be sissyfied by goblins and become a stay at home wife afterwards
ENOUGH!
>Mage is the only vocation that gets two hybrids AND an advanced vocation
Magic-chads stay winning.
They robbed Mystic Knight from all of us.
That dex speargay is no replacement.
We still need greatshields somehow.
Dex > Str
what do you think that happens behind those doors?
It's where all the villagers gangbang Quina every week and the arisen isn't invited
I'm stoked warrior got buffed and is a bit harder to play. I'm gonna make a brick shit-house of a lionman warrior and a loose healbot pawn, just like the gods intended.
I love how the elven forest area looks, the misty haze on the ground and rays of light filtering through the trees looks pure traditional LOTR kino
Can you save the Princess Zelda?
I've been playing DD:DA in preparation for DD2. I've killed Daimon once, but I hear I have to nuke his ass 7 more times for the "true ending". Is that true?
Just one more time afaik
Oh. Alright, I can manage that. Thanks.
nah just a second time
You don't get any new ending proper for killing his second form anyway.
It's an extra boss with a little more dialogue in his cutscenes and much better loot and difficulty, though.
Kinda hard with anything other than Yellow Vocations but far from impossible if your weapons are up to date. Just takes a little longer than usual.
Good luck!!
That map looks really nice, very immersive. You can just tell the game is going to be great based off that alone
>be on a wagon
>it gets attacked and driver/soldiers die
>you can steal it and start "driving" it GTA style
it won't happen but would be amusing
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>Resets time back to announcement day
My fricking fear
he would never do that unless he was trying to counter someone's malicious intents
Here anon, this will give you the power to move the release date as you please.
PRANKED, now you cannot interact with Dragon's Dogma 2 or any other game
Is there any footage of tavern "mechanics"? Like can we just sit down and talk to our pawns or NPCs?
I know there's an option to buy a round of drinks, but I've never seen a player go up to a chair and sit down like you can in skyrim.
all the screenshots oozes SOUL to me so far..
I loved the constant sound of waves breaking on the shoreline
something I haven't seen many mentions of, the melee sound effects sound great. Especially the heavier stuff, very crisp & clear.
Spellswords using magic for utility purposes makes my penis the big penis
>Less armor slots
>Possibly twice as many new weapon types
Good tradeoff?
>>Less armor slots
noooooo... how much less?
Looks like we'll have four (visible) pieces total: helm, torso with gloves, leggings with boots, and cloak.
That's awful.
The cope is that armour customization exists and maybe gauntlets/gloves is part of that.
>The cope is that armour customization exists
Can't wait to grind the battle pass to earn my customization options bros...
Like changing gloves? No way, why would they overcomplicate it that way?
Was this game in development for longer than Elden Ring? Elden Ring took five years to make 2017-2022.
I think this one started in 2019, so it's more or less the same.
DD2 started full production around 2019, right after DMC5 released. Was originally planned to release in Q2 2022 but got pushed back due to the coof
>2019, right after DMC5 released
It's been five fricking years already?
Fraid so
>Was originally planned to release in Q2 2022 but got
I don't believe the game was ever slated to be a 3 year or less cycle, that is absolutely moronic for a modern open world title much less one trying to do what they are trying to do with DD2. Q2 was either provisional or some internal date for a workforce shift.
I have little faith in Capcom to pull out a good RPG story, they've never been great at writing (I think DMC3 is probably their best game from that perspective, which is honestly pretty pathetic) but I'm hoping they are able to pull something around for this one.
>so the whole Disa thinks her son is going to inherit the throne
+ doesn't make sense
>I don't believe the game was ever slated to be a 3 year or less cycle
Hey just passing on the info we know from the Capcom hack. There's a chance that it was planned to be smaller but it got bumped from a mid-level title to a frontrunner after the covid delays
I don't think we know exactly how long it's been in development, it was announced in 2022 but they didn't show any footage then so presumably it was in a rough state.
We know Itsuno moved onto fully spearheading DD2 in April 2019. Game was likely in light pre-production beforehand.
Looks like every other mid japslop ever made
THE WIND IS PUSHING MEEEEEEEE
Something I don't often see talked about in these threads, so I'll bring it up: what do we think the "twists" are going to be? Is it just going to be everfall into seneschal again, or is it going to be cuhrazy? This is what I'm looking forward to most, personally. Say what you will, but I actually loved the overall plot of DD:DA.
They definitely arent doing the same story again
We know nothing about the cat race except they absolutely *hate* pawns, and do not give a shit about Arisen's as a whole. They worship the glowing catnip and Nadinia just stands next to it.
My guess is Equal Dragon Weapon. Rift crystals are now cyan instead of purple, so I'm guessing we're going to have story arc where we go adventuring inside of The Rift, maybe get more lore. They seem bent on having many factions doing jank at once, so maybe some kind of massive medieval battle or something.
current set of factions (off the top of my head)
>Vermund
>Vermund resistance
>Dragonforged
>Rift lady?
>Sphinx
>Battahl
>Dragonsplague
>Elves
I just want to kill off all the cats.
Remove gato sexo
No sexo for these ugly gato.
based. we shall cleanse Gransys of the furry menace
We're going back to Cassardis, I feel it.
>peak greek-era cassardis
yes please
The fake Arisen might be using pawn AIDS to control pawns and make them more powerful.
Identity politics would be kino if you could go join an inquisition to hunt down furry trannies
I hope making elf ears actually means your character is an elf and is recognized as one, doesnt seem likely though
Didn't they give the arisen amnesia specifically for this? It also removes the need for different starting locations based on race. But your character doesn't know elvish, even if you're an elf.
It could improve replayability if every race was super unique, but oh well. I'll settle for being occasionally called pointy eared.
Watch Vermund becomes Gran Soren at the end after it gets decimated.
Stop bullying the kitties
Should've made cute cats instead of ugly ones if they didn't want bullying.
They're cute, I want to give them catnip and tuna and be very condescending to them no matter how much it infuriates them that I'm not taking them seriously and constantly try to pet them
Wonder if DD2 has a petting option for Beastren
>They're cute
No. Even cats are afraid of them.
I hope the dragonforged is really racist and hates cats but we didn't see it because there weren't any cats in DD1
Weeee
The rag dolling just makes me think of Chinese liveleak videos.
Please be kind to consolefriends... they simply do not know any better
I hope cat owners turn their cats into pawns.
Might not be a bad idea
goodnight Ganker, ddfrens and discord troons
one day less until absolute kino
>that tavern bard song
?feature=shared&t=575
Might be for changing pawn inclinations like the first?
hm, could be? although i'd still expect that to be near rift stones
that is fricking tiny. uhhhhh bros???? I don't feel so good . ..
Where do I start anons, or should I just wait for the DD2?
You have time for a playthough of 1 homie
should I play DD or DD:DA?
DD:DA, just dont go to bitterblack isle until the endgame, youll know when you get there
Alright thanks.
Started mine a week or two ago. Currently 100%ing as a class I've never played before (latecomer to the series)
I'd reccomend it, it's not very long so it'll scratch that itch while also leaving you with plenty of time to get hyped about it afterwards.
It's so over for me bros.. I was so excited for this game too.
For what it's worth that site misses very often.
its probably accurate in this case
We have no way of knowing that until the game comes out.
At least you're not in "just barely meet the minimum" territory like me.
yeah same here. sucks pc gaming is just so absurdly expensive nowadays, you have to be rich as frick to afford one.
I can't believe it
wow this game has like.... 2 towns. that's cringe.
how does my standing as a DD fan get affected by me wanting to play granblue Relink to tide me over till DD2?
stop falling for FOTMs
it doesn't
Hope:
You make one pawn for permanent adventuring, and a second pawn that's exclusively for online sharing
Cope:
I'm making a martial pawn because I know online will be flooded by support bawds.
I'm so glad stats automatically redistribute when changing vocations now, I might start out with a mage pawn but I'll probably switch later on.
>ff7 demake demo
>no dd2 demo
pls itsuno, i need something to tide me over.......pls......
we'll probably get one in March
How about NOW instead? Even if it's just the character creation + a sliver of gameplay like SF6. I want to get some practice in just so my pawn looks great on day one. I bet I'll frick my pawn up now that stuff like torso lenght is a thing, but there are some more handholdy elements that give me hope.
SF6's demo was like a month out so maybe we'll get lucky and get something in a few weeks
Don't give me too much hope
Demo will make the wait harder anon..
I will be making a gloomy tall wizard arisen and a tomboy warrior pawn. You cannot stop me.
I hope they don't cuck on the lewd outfits being female only, the seethe would be delicious
Shame the arm slot got axed. So many cool bonuses for arm-related equipment will be lost... no more quick climbing gloves I guess
very few of the armor pieces in the first game were female only, so be ready to be disappointed
19 out of ~400 pieces, anon
Considering most games have unisex everything that's not such a low score.
Stray pawns actually fight back now?
god it is so cool how the shockwave pushes the PC
It didn't push my PC
Before the thread ends. Am I supposed to run past Death or is there a chance it wont appear in the corridor before the final(I think) fight
yes and no, fighting Death unprepared is a death sentence and that isn't Daimon
That's just a jobber.
A really annoying one. I barely do any damage to this damn thing (postgame here) once its armor shatters. And my magical pawn is barely any help despite taking a bar of health away with each attack.
we've been having the argument over armor since the first reveal, nobody will know until a journo has the wherewithal to ask or we get our hands on the game.
personally, I'm betting on layering still being in considering we see Ulrika change out of layers in just the short time we've seen her, meaning NPC outfits aren't baked. what form will that layering take? dunno, but the fact we've seen no changes in the UI since the very first demo means it isn't present like it was originally, at least.
>no changes i nthe UI
they removed the shield tab.
I want to believe
>mail on the outside of plate
why do you harm me so, Itsuno
It's easier that way.
>battlefu is a cat
I miss mercedes
Problem?
sadly dd2 cats aren't nearly this cute. Their faces are too long.
Problem?
GIWTWM
