The only game I'm actually looking forward to.
What is your Arisen going to be like? And the main pawn?
>midget archer + tall healbawd elf

solo trickster is kinda limiting since it is supposed to also be support class right? I get solo mage

if gameplay is anything like dd1 then you can apply support skills to yourself by clicking the right stick on gamepad
GOTY 2024
What is there to talk about?
The japonese cant into marketing
>arisen
e-girl
>main pawn
e-girl
BORING, you didn't even mention vocations.
I'm not gonna make a vocation call until we're aware of all the vocations
who gives a shit about vocations when you're gonna be switching them around every 20 minutes.
but muh stat gains
Fighter/Warrior/Assassin(pls) self insert and Magebawd beastren
>What is your Arisen going to be like?
a woman of course
>And the main pawn?
are there any dogs or dog people?
just cat people that lean more beastmen than furry
Don't know about what kinda Arisen or Pawn I'm gonna make, but FRICK I'm looking forward to Spearhand
I want to recreate my DD1 pawn but the idea of having a big tanky lion man is pretty fun, too.
Main character will just be a hobbit/dwarf because playing a small character in 1 was pretty fun.
Chad warrior with a black goddess archer.
This is the only correct answer.
Lionman Spearhand
Lionwoman Fighter
Also according to lore, the Riftstone creates your pawn based on the first person that comes to your mind when you touch it. Who would be the first person that'd come to your mind if you were touching the Riftstone?
I will probably start as fighter because im really curious about the new perfect block that lead to counterattacks. I hope the perfect block timing is just as strict. Im probably gonna switch to thief next and then transition into mystic spearhand if its unlocked by then, if not I wanna try out the new and improved warrior. As for my arisen I am gonna make a human male on my first run with a lioness beastren warrior main pawn for a sidekick.
I will be a female fighter and my parents will be the smallest little beast thing I can make and it gets a bow.
>parents
>he doesn't play dd with his entire family
>me
chad fighter with sword & board
>my pawn
older warrior chad, big beard and big sword
>other pawns
heal bawd (big breasts, shortstack) and bow bawd (flat and cute)
>The Strider class (hybrid of theif and archer) is going to be a hybrid class
>Therefore it's going to have absolutely ASS stat growth
>Will have to spend a bunch of time leveling up as other classes
My disappointment is immeasurable and my weeks have been ruined since they revealed the first classes
>hybrid class
>Therefore it's going to have absolutely ASS stat growth
Assassin was a hybrid class, yet for some reason it had god tier physical stat growth, so you never know
The whole stat growth system is fricking moronic and I'm still mad they didn't get rid of it and just let you level up manually
It had the best physical damage stat growth but magic and defense were pretty shit.
it's going to have absolutely ASS stat growth
>>Will have to spend a bunch of time leveling up as other classes
>>Will have to
Autism.
We already know that Strider is gone completely.
>my favourite class is gone
Not buying it then.
>waaaah i can't blastarrow bbi mobs to break the game no more
That's ranger. Strider doesn't even need to do that to be the best vocation in the game.
There's an extra level of classes now. Probably got moved to there because it's top tier
They removed the best class from the game?
Give me a few good reasons as to why
From what we've seen so far they want to make each vocation even more distinct from each other.
Interesting. I'm not against that. Maybe they'll lean more into the agility of a class like Strider, make them more the designated class that can scale enemies or do crowd control.
Too good at everything which runs counter to the party/Pawn system.
It was too powerful, they had to split it into two different classes. With that said we don't know all the vocations yet, so it could be a green/yellow hybrid or something, but we don't know yet.
yeah cause we already know everysingle thing about a unreleased game
including the pink and purple vocations
right?
Dumbo it makes way more sense for Strider to be an advanced hybrid of Thief and Archer. You only know that Strider isn't a base class any more.
Shota Beastren Warrior Arisen
Old Human Fist Sorcerer Pawn
Human.
Male.
Fighter.
Simple as.
I'm going to try and recreate pic related for my fighter pawn, my character will probably be a mystic spearhand and I'm going to make him look like a classical statue
Is it worth watching?
Yes, although the dubbing is inconsistent, original audio was lost in Peru.
Also kino:
>Nosferatu the Vampire
>Fitzcarraldo
>Cobra Verde
Watch Hard to be a God as well
Been playing through the first game recently and I've really enjoyed the strider/assassin/magick archer. I didn;t give stat growth any thought because frick it, I'm not going huge minmax, and I've ploughed through most things.
Only thing that fricked me up a lot was the double wieneratrice room in the Everfall, and that was because I wasn't prepared with petrification shit. I haven't tried the Ur-Dragon yet.
>midget archer + tall healbawd elf
My archer is average height and his bawdelf is a tank at least. Might make a midget tank next time.Tiny armored bowling ball of a pawn.
yeah i'm not going through all that arisen pawns dragonsbane yourself in the ass shit again while being chased by a pack of wolves
>Discord Schizos get brined

>denuvo

Imagine looking forward to capcoms shitty ultra homogenized dog shit
Thief, if there's no monk + Fighter pawn
I'm going to create a really young looking child pawn , have her dressed in underwear so she gets hired, then get the steam ID for every person who hires her and put them on a public pedo watch list to share across the internets
>you can steal underwear from harpies in dd
>ogres sometimes have a thong too
hmm, what did capcom mean by this
>Uh, you don't get to bring pawns
This one man filtered so many game journalist troons that the rest of us were allowed to enjoy the game in peace. Goat npc
Journalists complained about this?
It has caused massive amounts of sperg over the years. Rage quit and uninstall from sjw "gamers" meant we got comfy DD threads for the rest of us

Sorry for gay troony blog post. Just want to share that I feel fricking nothing towards the game I was making a soiface towards.
because when you get older you really do realize how much of a waste of time video games are. Time you could be figuring a way out of your situation, to eat better, work on having social skills so you're actually interesting to talk to. I'm 42 and only make around 65k when I should be making triple that at my age. no kids no gf. no wife. Got scared of trying because of the abuse and neglect, but I carried it too long. Now I'm literally nothing.
I understand you. 80% of the people posting here are going to end up in the same situation. Some might even kill themselves. Merry Christmas!
>because when you get older you really do realize how much of a waste of time video games are.
as opposed to the time he spends shitposting on imageboards? lmao. both of you are coping hard, you think if you """recognize""" how much you """fricked up""" you'll have some solace to grasp on to, but you won't.
This will win goty 2024 be default due to there being no other AAA games.

Fromsoft never won GOTY before Sekiro
Theres no other games in 2024
There's medieval persona and that one with the e-girl a.i. and the guy in a space suit.
Small mage boy with lion mommy warrior pawn
My arisen will be a tiny green goblin thief and my pawn will be a big strong warrior woman with pointy ears, they will find love in the end.
Going to make a tomboy girl traveling with Lina Inverse.
Where do I look up secrets like the forgeries, unique dialogue and stuff?
I'm on my second playthrough and wanna do a more completionist run this time.
Fighter Arisen with either human e-girl mage or ara ara elf mage. Still undecided.
NO DAGGERS FOR ARCHERS NO BUY
simple as that!
What if your bow is actually swords?
Just stab with arrows, bro.
>can make elf or dorf with addons
>can make dark elves and orcs/goblins with skin color
>now cat people added
Yet here i am, Lizard Black person.
Sad.
>no bow for thief
>no daggers for archer
Why are they like this? The first game let me play with both.
Itsuno wants each vocation to have a more focused role, Strider could do everything on its own, great melee damage and ranged damage.
>Itsuno wants the game to be less fun
What an butthole.
>Arisen
Big buff spear wielder
>Pawn
e-girl archer
There are actually only 7 vocations.
Trickster is shit i will never play and bowman and thief are supposed to be a single vocation
>2024 Dragon's Dogma 2
>2025 Monster Hunter Wilds
CapGOD has it locked down fr fr
And
>2026 = Deep Down
Holy frick...
2026 is Pragmata's year!
>CapGOD
>after remake 3
No, I will never forgive them
yeah that was pretty bad. i was hyped for it too after REmake2, but
>lmfao 3hrs long, and cut content
REmake4 was OKAY, but I REALLY enjoy its Mercenaries mode, and feels it shines in that department in a way the original can't.
>Same world
>Same enemies
>Same story
yawn
>Same story
no even trying are we?
I kinda hope there will be an option again to modify your character and pawn during the game, since I switched it multiple times during my DD1 playthrough depending on the vocation I was playing. Probably making dark/night elf pawn
We still have those art of metamorphosis items that you can get with RC, there was some screenshots of it from the demo.
Nice, I haven't really looked at much gameplay, since I prefer to go in as blind as possible.
>arisen
mage that went all in on INT
>main pawn
ladyknight that went all in on VIT
not Guts and not Schierke. Or I wil make chad Hadrian with femboy Antinous as strider.
Literally right around the corner.
solo warrior
self insert sorc + leomon figher(no shield)/warrior
did Itsuno say something about DLCs
>gtx 1080
will i make it?
Well, the minimum is a GTX 1070, but what about your CPU?
I usually make my character a scruffy guy, so a scruffy spearhand. Pawn will be an Amazon something, not quite sure what yet.
>Arisen
e-girl. For myself.
>Pawn
Hulking brute of an Old Man.
And then I rake in the rift crystals from people who need a mule because they made all their pawns e-girls. Or people who like the novelty.
based Itsuno getting japs to experience some 60s kinography
That fight looked extremely boring and scripted. Just climb giant statue and attack weak points for massive damage... Wow, we never had this exact fight before, what a fresh unique expirience...
wienerless freak
He is not wrong, whether he was baiting or not, it looked like Talos wouldn't shake you off, nor were the harpies attacking you, it looked boring as frick.
Me and my discord sisters agree
So, what are the chances that they just choose pink and purple to frick with people and there will be no basic vocations for those colors?
We just don't fricking know!
Itsuno is mad enough to make a Beastman/exotic variation of every vocation. Whether that actually makes it in is the question.
I doubt furries or elves will have any gameplay difference aside from knowing language. Which is a shame.
Didn't he say we will have to unlock some vocations out the world, or that they have quests or something?
I think languages are just a pawn experience thing.
Otherwise beastren/elves would just be OP.
Even more boring then.
they said there'll be slight changes on how some NPCs treat you if you're human or beastren, maybe some quests will be played differently
I'm not expecting purple and pink basic vocations. All four basic vocations we have right now are also starting vocations that you can choose from the start of the game. The pre-order bonus also has weapons for each starter vocation. You could have more basic vocations that are not starters but I don't think they'd do that. I think it's just an "exotic" blue/red hybrid since purple is close to blue and pink is close to red.
>Arisen
I'm not sure yet. I'm still hoping for a Monk job but if not probably Illusionist
>Main pawn
Definitely shortstack cat girl, probably Warrior job. Tiny girl+big sword is one of my favorite combos
>Arisen
Snow leopard beastren mystic spearhand
>Main pawn
Goth witch sorcerer
Goth witch e-girl?
No
greencucks really believe they will get an advanced vocation... kek
e-girl archer arisen with my same sorcerer pawn from the first game, formerly a e-girl now aged up and looking after her new e-girl arisen
Discord schizo here to brine your mom in my psycho zeed
I always brought my Reddit friend to tell you to le heckin' go frick yourself
AND my Twitter roommate who I don't know a frickin thing about XDDDD
Don't make me bring my absolutely batshit Facebook aunt next time.
Are we sure Itsuno can deliver this time?
Itsuno don't take risks and isn't very ambitious so I don't expect anything truly amazing. But he also a competent director so I do expect game to be good.
Everything? Probably not, I doubt we're going to the Moon and the lack of DDO acknowledgement will probably dissapoint some people there.
In terms of re-iterating on the first game and introducing some novel ideas, it seems to be doing that just fine. The introduction of proper physics, more in-depth climbing mechanics, character creation etc. all seems to be identifying exactly what mattered the most in the first game and improving on that.
As much as I liked Dark Arisen, it didn't achieve the "journeying at night" feel that the base game had, so getting that back again in the sequel complete with campfires and other stuff is really exciting.
Itsuno seems to know how to make good games but is also perfectly capable of directing other talented people which seems to what makes him so valuable.
>lack of DDO acknowledgement
Itsuno said that while he doesn't personally know much about DDO, some of his team does know (since they worked on it), so they might take some stuff from DDO, I believe one of DDO's directors is currently working on DD2.
Have they shown much more of the character creator in the last few weeks?
they showed body types
Nice
Very nice
Other than what they showed on the last showcase, (nov 28th) no.
No, all we know is most of the options and NIPPLES.
Also most short pawns tend to be 150cm exactly so that's probably the minimum height. Haven't been able to find a clear max height.
Fast travel always existed, but you could only get one portcrystal in NG which was kinda lame. It meant that Ferrystones only really existed for returning back to Gran Soren/Cassardis, and you could only build your own network in NG+.
>and NIPPLES
Does this mean female Arisen get to customize their nipples also?
>Also most short pawns tend to be 150cm exactly so that's probably the minimum height
lowest height in DD1 was around 130ish iirc
>Also most short pawns tend to be 150cm exactly so that's probably the minimum height.
Where are you getting this from?
Lots of demo footage and pawn stats.
The lowest i've seen is 150cm and that specific number comes up alot, which makes me assume than when different devs are fricking around making midgets they just whack it to the lowest setting, which is that.
Even the babyman skinwalker Rook from DD2 is 150cm
what about age and boob sliders?
>boob sliders
We've seen a few screenshots and there are some big milkers flopping around.
I don't know about "age" but there's Wrinkly, Height and Posture sliders that accomplish ultimately the same thing.
what was the minimum height in the first? around 140cm, right?
nta but I think it was 138cm
Fiddling with height, head size and torso i got it to 137.9 for a male.
You can get it lower with specific head shapes too.
Honestly it's such a great character creation system that any downgrades are going to break my heart.
It depended on head shape too and was different for males and females.
150 is way too tall. The first game was fine, although about 106cm would have been ideal.
Ideal for what?
Ideal for making my sisterdaughterwife in DD.
WTF
For kissing.
The minimum height should be one centimeter. The height limit should be one kilometer.
nta but in all seriousness lowest should be around 120cm and tallest should be around 2.5 meters, for gameplay and balance reasons
It should be a 1cm minimum and you should be able to climb your pawns.
Your main pawn should be at least ogre sized with big breasts to boot.
just webm related and some fur options for beastren (seen here
)
Looks pretty good. Together with the elaborate body options, it might be one of the best non-mmo character creators.
In particular, I really like the bit where when you pick a preset it shows you a bunch of variants, since I'm better at noticing things I dislike than coming up with a cohesive whole on my own.
I hope making straight up animoo characters is as easy as DD1.
pretty kitty mage and a tall elf berserker
I know what I'm making based on my pawn and millions of rift shards from DD1 but not tellling so I get the most rift shards again
And no its not your degenerate e-girl
They added fast travel to dark arisen, right? Was there a limit to how many crystals you could buy?
Fast travel was always in the game, they added an eternal ferrystone in Dark Arisen that could be used an infinite amount of times. You still had a limited number of port crystals that you could place though.
Hopefully they have a better system then, was a real ball breaker later on.
I've noticed that none of the trailers featured Eternal Return. Do you think they're just not going to use it? Or are they saving it for the launch trailer? Maybe holding it off until the final boss fight or something?
>Arisen
Freakishly big and tall man with a beard, ideally in an armor set with a big midriff to accentuate his barrel like body proportions
>Pawn
Elf e-girl or cat e-girl or goblin e-girl
>Vocations
Either trickster or healer class for Arisen, and for Pawn either warrior or ranger
>Beloved
I'm leaning Ulrika but there are too many good choices right out the gate
dicky squad
It could be GOTY if they just added co-op and invasions. Not sure why they decided to make “pawns” only AI again. Dumbest decision they made to a game that looks to be a 10/10
Get out FromBlack person
Explain how coop is a bad idea in dragons dogma. I’ll wait.
The bait wouldn't be as obvious if you only mentioned co-op instead of both co-op and invasions, come on dude, you can do better.
A zippy dagger guy probably, so much fun just dashing around.
>Arisen
Little lion man knight
Mumford & Sons intensifies
>Main pawn
Tall elf girl archer or little goblin girl mage
Nipples RNG.
Nipple Gacha.
The game looks bad so far tbh
You drink Onions, you are a loser and your opinion doesn't matter. You look bad to be honest
>Conan and Subotai
Warrior/Archer
>Laios and Chilchuck
Fighter/Archer
>Mustachio Wizard and Knight Woman
Sorcerer/Fighter
Depends on the mood I'm in when I actually start playing. Not sure about sticking to any too closely since I'll want to try some things out.
e-girl arisen and e-girl pawn for me
sorry but I am a man of simple tastes
So is it confirmed that this has motion inputs like DMC? Like stick forward-foward like DmC and MGR?
Couldn't tell from the footage shown so far with the journalists playing like morons. I was kinda hoping for a lock-on system from DMC (held not toggle) for better control and more directional inputs.
Correct, the archer kick and back flip is forward triangle input
Is the world still dead like DD or are there more lively and populous NPCs?
Itsuno is promising a world that's more alive and dynamic, with random quests and characters you can meet out there, ambushes... A lot of stuff, I hope he is not bullshiting.
Itsuno said the world will be 4 times the size of DD1.
That's not all that huge tbh. But DD1 did succeed at making it feel larger than it was. I hope there's more stuff like unlocking the shortcut through the mine and such in DD2.
The game runs and looks like shit on PS5 but that must mean the PC version with max settings at 144fps is going to be amazing can't wait
Do not engage with Shazamgays
Their latest thing is to try to consolewar, bring up ESL-tier nonsense about buttons, latch onto denuvo yes we all know it's shit despite it being known it would be in the game for months now, remain blissfully ignorant of what the rift shop is and misconstrue it as microtransactions, harp on the price tag modern video games are fricking expensive, try to say that Capcom releasing that pamphlet explaining that mods are legally a grey area to their investors is going to become anti-modding for the game, shitpost about it trying to be interlaced or 30 fps, and otherwise try to do the same thing as before but with Dragon Age, Final Fantasy (of all things), and Monster Hunter instead of Fromsoft games.
>Capcom releasing that pamphlet explaining that mods are legally a grey area to their investors
why is capcom being moronic about mods all of a sudden?
Some moron had a titty mod at a competition.
didn't they cry to nexus to remove mods long before that?
There was some street fighter incident, and I think they're using that as an excuse to cut down on modding, HOWEVER, Itsuno said something about modding being important for PC gamers, so I they'll be okay with modding for DD2.
I think they want to monetize mods and sell skins, lewd/nude mods hurt their bottom-line if people don't buy their safe horny skins so they are acting holier-than-thou and preach about muh morals while hosting troony freaks.
>bigmanguy + a little elf-like nymphette (but a real elf)
Frick. Meant to say
>but not a real elf
I'm not going to plan, because I want to fiddle with the character creator for 2-24 hours.
But my pawn is probably going to be some sort of handsome dude, because everything anyone ever does is cute girls and Burly Man 3000.
if they don't release a character creator demo before release, I'm afraid I'll miss out on early hype because I'll spend too long making my arisen and pawn
There's no way they're not doing them at the same time
I will make a burly man, however he will be a sorcerer.
My Arisen will either be Andre the giant, an Orc, or a sick ass lion dude, and my pawn will be a lil gobbo shaman hype man just as the seneschal intended
DD2 is gonna sell a frick ton because normies now love D&D and ARPGs thanks to Elden Ring & BG3.
Maybe if it had multiplayer it would.
Luckily, Itsuno is really adamant about staying true to his vision which I respect.
>DD2 is gonna sell a frick ton because normies now love D&D and ARPGs thanks to Elden Ring & BG3.
This is why I am hoping for a big as frick twist that they deliberately aren't showing, I want a great normalgay filter
>I want a great normalgay filter
The entire game is one big ox escort quest.
I actually love the ox escort quest. it's thrilling. people that can't do escort quests (esp in 90s gaming) just suck at vidya.
Did you know the ox quest isn't even an escort?
Nothing happens if it runs out of HP, it remains with 1 left. All that happens is it staggers on every hit and can't be kicked anymore. The speed boost it gets when you kick it scales with its current HP and that's all its HP bar does.
That's funny. I was always stressed managing that quest, despite never failing and never could.
Yeah I ended up having it fall to 0 HP earlier today when I replayed the game and kept kicking it because the shitty pawn I hired wouldn't heal me unless I was at critical HP and was a mile back fighting harpies. Some goblins spawned on it while I was carrying her to the cart and were beating the shit out of it but it never died. It just staggered constantly.
you can stand in front of it when you kick it so it runs you over and makes a dumb pawn want to heal you
you can eat a poison mushroom too, which is nice because it deals entirely white health damage over time so as long as the pawn only has anodyne and not the poison cure one it will follow you around constantly trying to heal you
They've already said this is a single player game, that oughta filter the normalgays.
That guy just sounds like a superautist. Muh every game needs coop is such a tripe anyway. Didn't stop Bethesdaslop or CDPRslop from being successful.
The parallel universe thing they mentioned sounds kinda sus, like they didn't have to mention that.
I doubt it tbh while I'd like for it to be popular, the game isn't getting much traction.
One major issue I think is that Capcom is making showcases exclusively for DD2 instead of showing trailers for it at massive showcases. I have no clue why they didn't have a trailer at TGAs. I know MH is much bigger than DD, but in one night the MH trailer has more views than any of the DD trailers from its showcases.
Fricking Exoprimal had more marketing behind it than DD.
I don't give a frick.
I care that the game is good.
BG3 was boring as frick.
Apples to oranges, I don't know if it will sell a lot but I really hope it's good
My Arisen will probably be a Beastren Mystic Spearhand, and my Pawn will most likely be a thief or archer human female
Oh shit look what they just posted on twitter
>2 new base vocations
I fricking knew it!
thanks doc
If only.
I don't get it.
Why are you here? I didn't know you were into DD.
>What is your Arisen going to be like? And the main pawn?
Going to remake the same guy again and my main pawn will be a black cat lady. I'm going to be a mystic spear and my cat will be a sorcerer again.
>no spear + shield class similar to LOTRO
>instead its just a kungfu bostaff replacement spear class instead
sad, but still excited.
Theres still hope. Theres been screenshots of some NPCs carrying around normal spears.
DD2 is going to have lock-on
That's nice sport, now go on and play with the rest of your friends.
the guy couldn't even remember if the player has a lamp or a torch. I don't take his words as believable
I watched those guys talked about it, and I was wondering about what they meant by lock-on, supposedly the Capcom guy told him (john) that lock-on wasn't implemented yet, but that it would be, then again, maybe they were talking about the sort of soft lock on from the first game, and since we didn't see "modern" lock on all the footage they've shown so far... I think it's just Digital Foundry being idiots as usual.
>game is out in 3 months
>"it's an early build that hasn't implemented basic combat features"
That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Besides, lockon would suck in DD because it's all about group fights or going up against big monsters. Lock on only helps if you're doing a 1v1 circle strafe fight, and I don't want any of that shit in DD2.
Bros I'm at a impass I wanna make a as my pawn but I wonder if I should stick to my good reliable dark elf amazon warrior?
>The only game I'm actually looking forward to.
i would be the same if they hadnt anounced that mgs3 remake
Arisen is going to be a human man, not sure what class exactly yet. Maybe a Sorc or some magic hybrid, I haven't actually looked into what each vocation does and probably won't either until I get my hands on the game. Pawn is going to be a female elf healer / support mage, just like in the first DD.
Fat frick arisen with e-girl pawn just like the first game
frick
wrong one
>What is your Arisen going to be like? And the main pawn?
Answer to both questions is who knows. I tend to make up my characters on the spot, though regardless they'll likely be tall and have muscle because I don't make midget characters.
2 Fighters. Depending on if Warrior is good Ill play that instead, after seeing some of the skills they have it seems like it might be a bit more mobile so you arent just spamming jump attacks, I want any excuse to wear the heavy armour, it looks rad as hell.
reminder you can nominate DD2 as most anticipated game in the GankerGAs
it won the award last year (and DD1 also won "best game to never win a GankerGA award")
18
or maybe elements of 16
>inb4 Oldanus
if you were an ESL jap cobbling together root words he didn't understand all the homonyms for ('anus' means something like 'of,' as in Of Old, in addition to butthole) it's EXACTLY what you would do
>everything single thing about the next monster hunter wrong
>expecting anything about the rest to be right
cmon now
I elect to die on this shitpost knowing it is probably only coincidentally correct or just fully wrong, unlike the 18 vocation graph that I do find very plausible, just because it'll be really fricking funny if any aspect of it is true let alone all of it
>you will slay the worldboss ANCIENT butthole and you will like it
but also because I have fond memories of playing bits of pirated Dino Crisis on the Dreamcast while too young to appreciate it & stick it out and it'd be nice to see the series revived
the only thing right about monster hunter in that is exoprimal
I honestly dont care if there arent lots of classes, I just want more skills for each class.
I'd be fine with 9 again as well but Trickster's colours are triggering us. Either they knew exactly what they were doing with its reveal or the complete opposite and someone should lose their job. They raised expectations with four basic vocations instead of three and now we see two new colours introduced.
Dont tell anyone this but
asic purple is a "commander", where the hybrid purple uses magic to boost pawns and summon shades of the player, the commander does AOE buffs to pawns and uses heavy armour instead of light armour, they use a one handed sword. Blue and green is "alchemist" and is focused on "air time combat" with fast melee magic instead of daggers. Ranger returns as the second yellow class. Purple is actually a summoning class, the base pink is a "necromancer", I dont know what the pink is, I think that is just a different flavour of magic type focused on "summoning" rather than direct spells.
you unlock the hybrid classes by doing quests in game now, the only way to get the ranger one for example is to do quests for the elves.
Not believable. Why would advanced yellow just be Archer+? Why isn't MA the elven vocation seeing as they use similar bows and some of their armour is on the MA vocations screen? Why would commander have a sword too when Fighter does?
Archer is focused on sustained DPS and fast movement, its special class ability is a sort of kick off attack that allows the archer to dodge and keep up DPS, ranger is focused on "tool" arrows its class ability is it can shoot a rope arrow that can pull enemies and stagger them
Also yes, the one handed sword is used multiple times with different classes, so is the mace, the fighter can use both, and so can commander, the core movesets are more or less the same, but some abilities can only be done with certain weapons. Sword with commander makes abilities do offensive buffs skills, mace does defensive buffs. Its basically the new mystic knight but doesnt do elemental buffs anymore and just boosts physical stats If you were paying attention to the hands on footage you mightve seen some bare handed attacks, the green hybrid class basically just supercharges them, like increases the attack speed, and a heavy attack uppercut is a straight up hadouken that launches enemies where you can then do "thousand kisses" equivelent with your fists in the air.
More than 9 vocations is highly unlikely.
There was one video of a guy buying armor and even for "disguise armor" like "Set of Royal Guard Armor" that everyone can equip, the game only showed 9 vocation slots (some with question marks )
less than 12 is highly unlikely since they SHOWED 4 base ones
we going to have 4 base ones, expanded ones like warrior and sourcerer, a green and a yellow one
making it 8
then the hybrids
red blue, red green, red yellow
yellow blue, yellow green
blue green
12 vocations AT LEAST
And there there's this screen, where we can see slots for 10 vocations (and potentially more with scrolling)
Wait, it's all literally reused from the first game.
They better add new vocations at least.
Thief is new.
Those are Assassin and Ranger renamed.
All of the skills are from the first game.
>daggers only
>assassin
try harder
>Those are Assassin and Ranger renamed.
No, Archer and Thief are Strider split into two.
>All of the skills are from the first game.
Plus new ones, and speaking of Assassin and Ranger, we've seen skills from both of those vocations being used by both Archer and Thief, so Ranger and Assassin are gone.
Oh come one, don't pretend shuffling skills around is a development of any kind.
Spears, Knuckles, Guns... would mean new vacations. At least new skills for the good old Daggers and Hammers would be enough for it not to be a lazy reskin.
Why are you ignoring the new vocations that feature new weapons then? Like Trickster and Mystic Spearhand?
Why are you ignoring the new skills we've seen for old weapons? Here's a new Archer skill.
>no ranger or assassin
Please be wrong
That's what I'm guessing, but we'll have to wait and see, here you can see a thief using an Assassin skill, powder blast or whatever.
Are there still shared skills? I just thought powder blast seemed like it shoukd have been a strider skill when I was playing a few days ago.
If its handled well I suppose it will be fine. I just want Ranger for more bows and skills, and I want Assassin for sword and bow combo.
I much prefer the sword to daggers. Hope theres some more weapon access for classes this time around, or an ability to add a weapon proficiency to 1 or more classes eventually. Tired of daggers.
>Are there still shared skills?
We don't know enough to be sure, but we haven't seen any indication of that, if anything it seems that they want to make every vocation unique, with its own unique weapon and unique skills.
No shared skills, vocations are essentially becoming closer to Monster Hunter weapon types. I think this is a good thing though because it's making them more distinct from each other and each one looks like it's going to have much more depth. It's not impossible that there could be a subclassing system unlocked later in the game that lets you switch to a second vocation/weapon but that's my own baseless speculation and nobody should expect that.
There are shared skills. Mage and sorcerer share the basic attack spells Flagration, Levin and Frigor, and whatever Spellhold is.
They're doing away with vocations that can do everything. Ranger won't exist as it was because Archer is already there, so if Ranger is in it will be very different. Assassin certainly is gone because it was Strider and Fighter combined as well as having unique shit on top of that. Thieves are dual daggers, Archers are obviously archers, Fighters are the sword and shield. Vocations will be more unique and specialized.
So be it...
NOOO, YOU CAN'T DO TH-
>They're doing away with vocations that can do everything.
Probably for the best. I'm doing an Assassin playthrough right now and it feels like I'm never at a disadvantage. Kinda thinking of switching to Warrior or just restricting myself to sword + board to keep it interesting.
>All of the skills are from the first game.
Show me where in the first game you could kick off enemies, or stab an arrow into them while climbing.
don't bother, most of these people don't even play DD1 or care about DD2, they're just farming (You)s
What are you talking about?
Thief and Archer are new classes, mate
There's Trickster and Mystic Spearhand, and technically, Thief and Archer are "new"
I still think 10 is possible because there's enough width there for a 10th icon in the vocation compatibility section. I don't know why they would set the icon border width like that if there were only 9. There's also a 10th slot in the vertical select vocation menu.
>strider was so fricking op they had to divide his vocation into two new ones and make him a hybrid class
atleast that means striders will be able to use long bows now right
Currently playing 1 for the first time.
I'm a e-girl sorceress and my pawn is female Guts (I didn't do it on purpose, it's merely a coincidence)
I feel silly for not playing it sooner
Did you get griffinsbane early? It's really broken
>dunce cap
into the brine it goes.
Unless this is some early build demo thing, i don't see us getting more vocations than DD1. Anyway getting more would be cool, let's hope for another cool concept for one.
Actually...
Why didn't they put as many "?" vocations as they were planning in my picture?
I'm not saying you're definitely wrong and my picture doesn't prove anything either. I think it makes for a stronger case than room for more being there on the menu or an interview where Itsuno said some vague stuff.
We'll see either way.
I think everything they've shown so far has been a much smaller fraction than what everyone thinks.
I hope so. And personally not for the vocation amount. I just hope the world is huge and filled with variety and things to kill and places to explore.
That comment was before the showcase that confirmed the Trickster, and officially acknowledged Warrior and Sorcerer's existence...
Warrior and Sorcerer everyone had already guessed.
Trickster is just one that no one could guess and he says there are several that no one could guess.
They were all already shown in the material though, just not named, even trickster.
>They were all already shown in the material though
People even managed to unlock them and play as those vocations in the public demo, and yeah, we had seen Trickster before... But then what about more vocations? They haven't shown anything that would indicate vocations beyond the 9 we have now.
I mean the comment being made after all of those 9 had been shown seems pretty concrete to me
To be honest, between one supposed interview from a minor foreign publication that could easily be mistranslated PR-speak (or even fake) vs lots of in-game elements that happen to match up with 9 vocations, I'll personally put more faith in the latter.
But there are some elements that indicate at least 10 vocations.
There are UI elements that happen to have space for a 10th secret vocation unlocked late in the game, but not really any more than that. When the game already has UI elements to represent not yet unlocked but also not meant to be "secret" vocations, why would it omit like half of them? Why would the Arisen's throne only represent nine of them?
>but there might be Battahl vocations
Then wouldn't Trickster make more sense to be one of those?
You could well be right but it'd be very bizarre to have only two advanced vocations and three hybrids, one of them being two new colours.
It'd be more bizarre to release game footage and merch to mislead people into thinking there are fewer vocations than there will actually be, that's like the opposite of marketing.
>shirtgay being moronic
like clockwork
Provide 1 valid argument for more than maybe 10 vocations
A literally who source interview of poorly translated japanese PR vaguespeak and "trust Itsuno!" are not valid arguments
>inb4 I accept your concession
>blind faith in a game director to deliver things you've dreamt up but that were never promised to you is 2+2=4
>interview is blind faith
i accept your concession
UI elements could fit in 10 or even more. Why only two advanced vocations? Said advanced vocations are the same as 1 and the two they stem from. Why is Trickster pink+purple, two new colours to the vocation system?
>UI elements could fit in 10 or even more.
They could indeed fit 10 but reformatting UI elements just so they can disguise a major gameplay feature is not Capcom's style and aside from that fricking pointless, why wouldn't they just make room for those vocations in the first place and then display the question mark placeholders for them like they do for MS, MA and Trickster? Why make people think there are only 9 vocations in the first place?
>Why only two advanced vocations? Said advanced vocations are the same as 1 and the two they stem from.
I dunno, I think it's kind of moronic as well but all of the vocations in the game aside from Spearhand and Trickster are either from the original game, or derived from it, and they probably just couldn't think of a way to make an "advanced yellow" or "advanced green" when Thief and Archer already take the place of Dagger Assassin and Ranger.
>Why is Trickster pink+purple, two new colours to the vocation system?
The colors of the other two hybrids don't exactly match the other vocations either, I'd say they're mostly for flavor to indicate their playstyle. Besides, if a pink+purple vocation results in something with no offensive capabilities at all, I don't think having more vocations like that would even be a good thing.
Anyway, the city's vocation guild NPC offers Warrior and Sorcerer to unlock (and only those two) but you need to complete a quest for it. I don't see why they wouldn't let you unlock the other 2 advanced vocations until later if they did exist.
That one interview really is all you have, huh?
>itsuno: there's more than 9 vocations.
>anon: no that doesn't count
wow really makes you think
: there's more than 9 vocations.
He didn't say that.
>Anyway, the city's vocation guild NPC offers Warrior and Sorcerer to unlock (and only those two) but you need to complete a quest for it. I don't see why they wouldn't let you unlock the other 2 advanced vocations until later if they did exist.
Presumably precisely because those two are old vocations from DD1 while advanced green and yellow would have to be something entirely new?
The TGS build is apparently really old, so it's not really indicative of anything.
Not gonna be that guy, but source? Also if it's true i'll believe it since how some of the move is a lil janky. ALSOOO it's somewhat easier to make a demo based on previous or early build anyway
digital foundry, they said that the build was old and some big things were missing like a lock-on
Lock on doesn't really fit in with DD and the latest gameplay doesn't show it either. I'm more inclined to think that there was a communication issue somewhere between the DF people, the barely speaking English Capcom rep, and the actual devs who probably aren't telling the reps all that much.
I believe it.
>DF: Will there be lock on?
>Capcom: Hai, there wir be rock-on (referring to the main menu title being another B'z song
I just can't see big information about mechanical stuff like that only being told via a booth rep who barely speaks English.
They could have 18 vocation and make another shirt with 9 different vocation again like this
Also thief literally got nothing NOTHING not even hybrid or advance. IF trickster is blue + green then i'll be damn and i believe it's going to be 9 vocation, but that bastard itsuno just sucker punch us with purple + pink.
This is his biggest dream game and you have to consider this, he manage to hide talos and elf arbor where everyone here think itsuno not going to add em, you think he can't hide some vocation?
This shit right here. Each icon has an invisible border around it in order to space it out. If there was only 9 total then that space would be divided so they're all spaced evenly in the box. There just so happens to be exactly enough width for a 10th icon so I say there's at least one more unknown vocation.
>lateral list has space for a 10th and could trivially extend down into another row
>vertical list has 10 boxes and the UI borders are suggestive of a scrollbar to go further
it must be so
Can't wait for
>The sight of body type two excites it!
lmao, that's not much better but I guess it's still palatable
bet it's man/woman in japanese though
mostly likely
it literally translate to middle english for female lmao, capcom manage to swindle through the troons
Could be worse I guess
>Ogres lusting after feminine penises
I can't get this image out of my head
>GORK CHASE AFTER MAN LAST RAID GORK GAY
>>IT NOT GAY, IT FEMININE DICK
>IT GAY
>>YOU GAY
>GORK IS gayGORK
THE SIGHT OF BUSSY EXCITES IT
They actually say women, just like in the first game.
>Coomer ogres can simply smell the chromosomes.
Beyond based.
in the first game they got fooled by men wearing lady's garb as well.
I actually didn't know that. Maybe we get a useless ring or perfume that can mimic that.
Yes, they should totally revamp the classes and skills for a sequel. Surely that's what fans want.
I will be playing just like I played DD on PS3, striker blonde e-girl with a mage tanned e-girl.
That goblin just mario jumping around
Itsuno needs to cancel all other development until proper goblin jumping animations are done that looks fricking awful lmao
I want to know if you can actually attack with this thing. It's basically a flail so you would think it would have a basic light attack combo or something but I don't see anything like that in the reveal footage.
They've literally never shown the player hitting something with it, and they called it a backline support "strategist" vocation, so I have my doubts.
Who would want to play a class that can't attack at all in a single player action RPG?
The first trailer showed it create a new bridge, which I assume monsters will use and then we can make it disappear so they fall. It can create a wall to block and fling enemies if they're underneath, it summoned a mist dragon to fight a Griffon, it can conjure a mist version of the Arisen onto an enemy so they gangpile on them instead of you. Trickster is something different and will be fun to play around with.
Yeah that's what I was thinking, if it had melee moves then they probably would've showed one. The mist dragon looks cool but it's probably not going to be the vocation for me. I still want to know what it's basic light and heavies are though. If it's not flail melee combos then is going to magic bolts or something? Maybe it was one of the mist moves displayed actually.
This looks really lame, ice dragon summon did not even hit Gryphon.
I think the idea is that the Griffin got startled by the dragon illusion.
A bit too poofy for my tastes.
Gay as frick, hope devs didnt waste much time on this garbage or on the dumbass spear shit.
I think their basic attacks might just be these mist twirls that turn enemies into allies temporarily if hit. I don't know how that works if you're fighting one singular large monster though. Maybe they do a little damage too because it would seem silly to have your basic attacks just be unusable against single opponents. It may be more support oriented but every vocation still needs the ability to attack reliably.
>Can turn the goat and the snake of the chimera against each other and cast magic on itself
>Can make Hydra heads bite each other
>Can make Medusa turn herself to stone
Tricksterchads... I kneel.
I'm going to reply to myself because thinking about it again, this might be crazy over powered if it worked like this. I really don't know how this vocation will work and be balanced. Maybe only very small/weak foes like basic goblins will be able to be turned into allies.
>fight any kind of larger enemy
>you're now useless and can only stand back, buff your pawns and watch
Sounds miserable.
I guess it could be a threshold like a status ailment that builds up and stronger/larger foes take more mist to turn friendly. They probably have other stuff they can do like the dragon summon as well. I think they'll take things from DMCV's summoner gameplay.
I think that would be the time to cast illusory dragon.
Any last minuters want their pawn taken through the meat grinder?
>last minuters
People who only just now are playing I.
My elf bawd is a level 42 ranger named Eleanor if anyone wants to hire her on PC.
Looks cute. I might hire her tomorrow.
>DLC armor
STRAIGHT INTO THE BRINE
I believe in them. Just look at this shit eating grin. You know they know we know.
Itsuno won't disappoint us, because he'd be disappointing himself
test
Random question but is there a longer cloak in DD1 that doesn't have that awful clipping with the legs while sprinting?
I've only found the griffin one so far and haven't changed since.
All the vocations look so boring compared to the spear Black person, especially thief and archer which is just strider split into two.
I think everyone underestimates how valuable fighter's block and thief's dodge is gonna be. This isn't like the first game so unless they go ham with moves having i-frames the rest of the vocations could feel weird especially Magic Archer.
I'm excited for spearhand the most but I think all of them look good. Thief actually looks really fun so I definitely can't agree with you there. That new evade move with the follow-up attack against the minotaur looked very nice. Fighter is also looking great with that horizontal slash they did after the perfect block. In general, fighter is looking very brutal with that gouging move and especially it's finisher.
>dialogue floats above enemies head like an ACQUIRE game
this is a 3000iq speculation, but there *WILL* be weaponcrafting
There appears to be gem slots on all gear now, so its actually possible that you craft items that give different stats, if not the weapons and armour themselves.
It's a response to people complaining about dialogue boxes cluttering up the screen in the original, they just put them over the speakers' heads instead and important dialogue appears as subtitles.
MK and MA were the only cool vocations in the first game too, I don't really see the problem. Every other vocation is pawn fodder while those two are the MC vocations.
>compared to the spear Black person
same as dd1 where everything was lackluster compare to dagger/bow vocations
Man, if you were a counter prostitute MK was god tier without even getting into cannon combos.
MA was pretty dog shit outside of BBI though. Inside BBI it was one broken bastard with Ricochet Bolt spam given the confined nature of the isle.
Assassin was probably the most fun to me. Especially a midget assassin that scurried across shit like a flea right to weak points and going ham on them.
Magick Archer is the single strongest vocation in the game in any location
How can it be the strongest if it doesn't get brainsplitter?
Mystic spearhand looks so far above the rest you'd have to be stupid to try anything else
I'm playing warrior to max level just like I did in the first game
Based.
A brawler will sway me easily though, i'm sorry
Based.
Look at that fighters armour, goddamn this game is going to be good for armour gays.
Spirit Lancer was also the best DDO vocation, so nothing surprising here.
I think it looks gay and stupid even before considering how much I dislike that mk died for it. I'd rather play mage.
I’m playing 1 but haven’t resumed in a week. I reached level 5/6 sorcerer, I remember someone here said sorcerer isn’t just standing around a bunch, but I forgot what he said it was for. I got that ice platform spell which sure, makes sense, but I keep envisioning this class like a Grand Wizard standing on a high-up spot and casting a very powerful spell which is what I’ve been doing most of the time since levitate let’s me reach higher spots.
>5/6 sorcerer
The real big dick spells come in a little later, but the gameplay won't change much if at all, except casting times will be a bit longer.
Sorc has some nice core skills that weirdly enough unlock kinda late.
Focused bolt is can be any element and Magic billow is a nice jump attack.
The Lassitude spell is also majorly slept on.
Pro-tip: For spells that target multiple body parts you can press the right stick button to lock it on the last body part aimed.
>The Lassitude spell is also majorly slept on
I’ve been using that one, it’s great support for the pawns and even slows cyclops down. Helped a bunch when I fought those two near that small beach south of the map
>pro tip
Didn’t know that, thanks.
You want to unlock the good shit like Bolide, Maelstrom and Seism.
Then, grab two Sorc pawns online with those same spells, and they will combo with you.
That's when you get the real Sorceror experience.
You can enchant your staff with holy (click left stick while charging) and your charged light att ack becomes one of the strongest moves in the game. Be careful with that because it's the most op and broken shit in the game. It's an attack you can cast while running, homes in on enemies, heals you, attacks through all walls and can hit large enemies multiple times.
I'm hoping for a pugilist vocation of some kind, but if not then I'll likely go Beastren Mystic Spearhand for the Arisen and a Human Archer pawn.
Pure Fighter, Fighter into Warrior, or Fighter into Assassin?
For the first game?
2 separate playthoughs for Fighter and Warrior
can arisen be cats? cat lady warrior arisen and a blonde e-girl healer mage to prostitute out for riftcrystals probably
shota mage + platonic bara beastren thief
Only being able to make 2 characters is far too restrictive and the main reason you keep seeing the same e-girl mages and sexy rangers etc.
If you could make a full party of 4 you'd see a lot more interesting characters
That's dumb, there's a reason you aren't a game designer.
have a nice day worst moron
But then most people wouldn't hire pawns and you'd miss out on the fun stuff like their pawns being better trained to give you inspiration or their pawn having knowledge to help you out.
trickster arisen + unarmed pawn
Human male, will probably try every class
Lion wife, Fighter, and hope none of my friends hire my pawn and start asking questions
Is this cropped lewd?
idk bro look at the filename
Tell me bout Censer. Why does he cense?
he has snoopdogg-itis
SO! I'm kinda hoping they use another weeb tune as the intro music....into free still gets me pump when firing the modded Pc version of the game, which one would you pick?
something from Asian Kung Fu Generation?
the second version has the superior soundtrack. by far. that weebshit makes no sense whatsoever.
>modern capcom
enjoy your body type slop americuck
Itsuno just called me to say that, yes, there will be only nine vocatios, but once you have unlocked and fully levelled up all of them you can make your own custom vocation out of them with some limitations.
>The only game I'm actually looking forward to.
There are still bunch of games I'm looking forward to, but none as much as DD2.
>What is your Arisen going to be like? And the main pawn?
Like this.
Big Tiddy Orc Warrior
Pawn as always is a slovenly goblin mage
Magic Archer MILF, with glasses if possible, grooming her e-girl warrior pawn.
gay
ye
Gonna go Sorcerer again, not sure about pawn other than female. Recreating my waifu would be doubling up on magic, which I don't want to do. Maybe a generic amazonian woman. I can't think of any girls I like that don't fit the magic archetype.
>Recreating my waifu would be doubling up on magic
With spell syncing it's not a bad idea to run duo sorcerer
fighter or other melee class + e-girl mage pawn, as always
190cm sorcerer chad and Amazonian 2h swordswoman + smol archer and support healer female. Ain't no harpies picking up my mains
Anyone else think the marketing for this game has been doing a horrendous job? Not what they've shown, but how they've been showing stuff.
>not appearing at any big showcases, not even showing quick trailers there
>having small showcases JUST for Dragon's Dogma, meaning the only people who will see it are people actively seeking it out
I know a bunch of people who don't even know about 2 coming out because of this, and it makes me worried. I WANT this game to be more popular.
The marketing is fine, I don't really know what you guys want. They could've showed it at the TGAs for more exposure I guess but I preferred having a full showcase dedicated to it instead of sitting through that shitty award event. They had all the homosexual streamers and journalists playing the TGS demo and there likely will be a public demo eventually as well. When that comes around they'll get all those homosexuals playing it again and getting normalgays all hyped up. I've been seeing a ton of anticipation from fans at least and a lot of times that's all you need to get bandwagoners onboard. There's not going to be like 50 nonstop hype threads per day but there's been plenty of threads when stuff gets shown.
not that guy but I don't think there needs to be only one or the other, an event and then another trailer at the TGAs would have both been fine.
> I WANT this game to be more popular.
For me i want no one to know about it, it should stay a niche with majority japanese base because westtrannies ruin everything
>arisen
e-girl magick archer
>main pawn
e-girl Thief
>pawn 1
e-girl sorcerer
>pawn 2
e-girl archer
hard lock on is such a shit mechanic I hope it's not in, that would be the worst thing they could add to the game.
Yeah I've come to realize that some situational soft lockon is the best. The only game I've ever played where it felt like I benefited from a hard lock on was Sekiro.
It's better because it's intuitively tied to the direction you're moving, having to press a button to only look at one character and ruin you vision of everything else is bad.
Sekiro shone on 1v1 but even then you can make a system where both crowd control and 1v1 works well, look at Sifu, and even FFXVI has a decent lock on that doesn't ruin it.
Yeah I don't know, it's so clunky and unintuitive the way most games do it.
why anybody would want lock on? it's shit
manual lock on is always nice to have for controller, for pc not so much. For controller manual lock on is very nice to reposition camera without having to move it with thumbstick
All you have to do is make clicking the right analogue stick center the camera behind the player. That's got nothing to do with lock on.
if you running AWAY from the enemy it will snap your camera opposite of the enemy, lock on then lock off is definitely better
If you're running away from the enemy then odds are you were already looking in its direction. Even if you weren't, you can just rotate the camera. All you have to do is increase X axis sensitivity to make it turn faster.
still have some cases where the camera is facing away from it too, and increasing x axis sensitivity is the stupidest thing i've heard today. You want to fling your camera away like it's sliding on ice?
Why are you so spreging about lock on anyway if you don't like it just don't use it moron. MHW has it and that game is like the worst game to actually use lock on but no one complain about it because the controller user use it like what i said and PC just straight up ignore it
>still have some cases where the camera is facing away from it too
Not really. If you're running away from an enemy that means you were looking at it to begin with. There aren't really any situations where you need to start running away from an enemy that's directly behind you off camera.
>increasing x axis sensitivity is the stupidest thing i've heard today. You want to fling your camera away like it's sliding on ice?
You're a fricking moron. That would explain why you think a game needs lock on so you run away from enemies and rotate the camera, something that's incredibly simple to do already.
>PC just straight up ignore it
Only morons use mouse and keyboard for third person action games. Now I get why you clearly have no fricking idea how stick controlled camera works.
brain rot can't play using keyboard + mouse, no wonder you're so fricking moronic. Did i say we need lock on? I only say lock on is not a bad thing and can be useful on certain aspect you rancid meat for brain
>Only morons use mouse and keyboard for third person action games
KBM is strictly better for action games since you have camera control without loss of face buttons and without having to contort your hand and weaken your grip like you do with a claw grip.
DDDA in particular is just strictly better with KBM, despite the weird keybinds for menus.
DDs wide shot like camera doesn't even require you to move it as much, it's made for crowd control.
we don't always fight many enemy, big enemy like griffin and drake usually solitary. Beside i never said it need to be fully lock on, just a tap to reposition your camera for controller. For PC you have total control of your camera without having to let go your finger from action button
This happened to me yesterday. I laughed.
literally how. The most I've gotten is the cyclops mace glitch
No idea. That's the first time I've seen it happen and I have about 330 hours in the game so I don't think it's common.
Out fricking skilled
Do you think we'll be able to make any NPC in the game our "beloved" again?
They said they expanded the romance system, so I'm expecting that and more.
>tfw won't be able to romance the monster girls
>tfw Itsuno did not fail to notice siren booba memes
>tfw gyppo israeliteelry siren is an NPC and not just a boss, hostility/fullkill optional
>you can, in fact, betrothe the giant semitruck birdlion breasts
highly unlikely but I would
Dragon's Dogma is an orthodox, classical fantasy story, monsters exist to be slain, not to be wed
god I wish
The Arisen seems oddly relaxed around her so 50/50 coin flip between RPG protagonist autism, or potentially friendly NPC
what a beautiful british rose
>looks like a gypsy
>has teeth like the British
>is actually an Irish traveler
d'ya like Drags, arisen?
>Wot?
Drags, d'ya like drags?
>Freshen yer drink, Governor?
aw look she's smiling
Yeah, that's been all but confirmed already. I'm hoping they do another showcase soon that goes more into that and a deeper dive into character and pawn creation. They still haven't talked about what the whole Pawn Quest thing is that we've seen in the demo footage.
i hope so
Her voice is cute, but her face looks a bit odd... She looks old and young at the same time.
The Brit*sh are born at age 30 and just get older from there
It's not just you, her face is definitely off.
>L2 is still dedicated to sheathing and unsheathing weapons
disappointed
I'm pissed that it's not a duck/stealth button. What a waste of a button.
>gayon's pozzedma

Hopefully the exact same as I had DD1. Tall & beefy yet princely looking guy with a petite elf pawn. Though depending on the character creation I may try to make Cassandra from Claymore. That'd be sick. Then when I complete my adventures I'll turn my pawn into Guts and give him all my equipment so he can help others out as best as he's able.
I'm going to play a israelite
>one (1) Coin Purse of Charity has been deposited into your account
>deals no damage to enemy's health
>can only attack their credit score
>Cries in pain as he strike his enemies
>bonus damage when attacking civilians
No fast travel, no purchase.
There's cart rides and ferry stones.
Then my purchase is guaranteed, thank you for the info.
>he didn't walk to tainted mountain
>he didn't walk to bluemoon tower
>he didn't walk to shadow fort
missing out man.
It has the same fast travel system from the first game plus carts you can ride around for free (though those have the risk of getting ambushed)
>for free
I thought they were paid escorts, kind of like the fast travel system in Stalker CoP.
The trailer made it look like you can just hop on whenever you see one, the downside is they're always moving so you're not guaranteed to have access to them.
>t. zoom zoom
Cyberpunk made me realize that fast travel is overrated.
me: self insert kBlack person
main pawn: big witch sorc
and if it works like dragon's dogma online did;
second main pawn: demon lady strider
third main pawn: i don't know yet
WHY ARE SO MANY PAWNS SO BAD
WHY THE FRICK ARE YOU Black folk HAVING YELLOW PAWNS THAT ARE LEVEL 25 AND SOMEHOW DON'T HAVE SKULL SPLITTER OR TENFOLD FLURRY
WHY ARE YOUR MAGE PAWNS LEVEL 25 WITHOUT A SINGLE FRICKING AFFINITY
STOP EQUIPPING SHIELD SKILLS
I'VE BEEN STUCK IN THE RIFT FOR 20 MINUTES LOOKING FOR A GOOD PAWN
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
DD is not hard man who gives a frick
so true discord-sister
Realistically how many quests are going to be legit 1:1 copy paste with the excuse of the time loop etc. It will be mega disappointing if we are just doing the same things we've done in the first
What else can you do? There will be escort quests, protect the ox cart quests, go to the well and kill lizards, shadow a mysterious figure, get shit for item traders, don't bump into small aristocratic dumbass, same as all other games. Except this time you will need a language speaking pawn.
Have we gotten confirmation that the layered armor system is returning or not? Would suck if they combined chests and legs like some of the preview inventory screens suggest.
>play DD again
>Almost no pawns with clout and vehemence in physical classes
Feels good when you finally find one though
Short ugly bastard arisen with Amazon type furry catgirl pawns exclusively for HMOFA immersion.
>What is your Arisen going to be like?
Shota archer
>And the main pawn?
Shota warrior
One of them might be a cat depending on how cute you can make them.
8 foot tall BBW warrior amazon + minimal height /ss/ sorcerer boy
How's development going on private servers for DDO by the way?
>day one will be nothing but furry pawns
All me.
No cat ears. No tail. Beastren are dead on arrival.
I never play open world games on day 1, too many bugs and shitty performance
Probably go for Fighter with a Fighter or Mage pawn.
I wont settle on a build until I'm playing it.
>What is your Arisen going to be like? And the main pawn?
Buff lancer dude, bearded wizard dude.
>Arisen
Self insert
>Class
Something that can climb good use a one handed sword and also has a bow
>Pawn
