I started the anime and felt it was kinda meh and dropped it. then on a whim I started the manga and that's when I fell in love. the art in the manga is so good whereas the anime is just low-budget slop that's not visually appealing at all. for a work that's focused almost entirely on graphic depictions of murder and violence, you need good art to carry it.

it's comfy adventure kino. one of the novels, the first one from the second season is pretty boring but otherwise it's a pretty simple D&D inspired adventure story with an autist that hates goblins.
first season anime is good, second season not so much. novels and manga are good throughout except for the aforementioned boring one. Year One manga is a prequel that's better than the main story at times.
It's an entire series made by a guy who got mad at that one scene in Berserk, but that idea can't really carry much of a story by itself so the whole thing just kinda fell apart immediately after the setup

Nobody in Monster Hunter had names except the player character, their cats and dogs, and the quest givers. Even when 4 was story heavy the cast were known as Ace Cadet, Caravaneer, The Man, Wycoon, etc. This has been the series naming convention up until Rise actually gave all NPCs a name to go with their occupation.

Yeah, that's what I did my first time playing DDDA. The game was easymode by comparison when I tried out the Ranger vocation.

Yeah, another reason I'm somewhat apprehensive about playing as warrior is just how slow it was at everything. In DD1 it didn't even make up for it with amazing damage or anything, literally got mogged even by yellow vocations that are theorhetically supposed to be less proficient in that area. Compare the blink move from fighter or the yellow vocation equivalent to the warrior's charge. You're luckly if whatever you're trying to hit doesn't just sidestep out of the way. Imagine fighting DD2 saurians as a DD1 warrior.
Basically the lowest we've seen height go is 150cm. IGN's super duper deep dive didn't go into all the options, but the height limit itself only allowed for the character to be 150cm.

Making your character fat is a pretty meta choice indeed. High carry weight limit, high stagger resistance. If I didn't have to make my character a fatass I would've definitely picked these attributes over whatever being light gets you.

it's comfy adventure kino. one of the novels, the first one from the second season is pretty boring but otherwise it's a pretty simple D&D inspired adventure story with an autist that hates goblins.
first season anime is good, second season not so much. novels and manga are good throughout except for the aforementioned boring one. Year One manga is a prequel that's better than the main story at times.

Even when 4 was story heavy the cast were known as Ace Cadet, Caravaneer, The Man, Wycoon, etc. This has been the series naming convention up until Rise actually gave all NPCs a name to go with their occupation.

Yeah, another reason I'm somewhat apprehensive about playing as warrior is just how slow it was at everything. In DD1 it didn't even make up for it with amazing damage or anything, literally got mogged even by yellow vocations that are theorhetically supposed to be less proficient in that area. Compare the blink move from fighter or the yellow vocation equivalent to the warrior's charge. You're luckly if whatever you're trying to hit doesn't just sidestep out of the way. Imagine fighting DD2 saurians as a DD1 warrior.

Basically the lowest we've seen height go is 150cm. IGN's super duper deep dive didn't go into all the options, but the height limit itself only allowed for the character to be 150cm.
There are obviously some issues with this.

Also, in that IGN video, when they made the character the maximum height it made her REALLY tall. I don't recall the exact number, but upwards of 210cm which you couldn't reach as a female character in DD1.
150cm is probably the lowest height you can get WITH the longest legs, torso, neck etc.
In DD1 the shortest height on the default height slider is not the limit. Once you set it to shortest, you can make the character shorter by individually setting the shorter options for each body part. Same for height (just works inversely).
I'm assuming DD2 will be the same case.
Making your character fat is a pretty meta choice indeed. High carry weight limit, high stagger resistance. If I didn't have to make my character a fatass I would've definitely picked these attributes over whatever being light gets you.
