I still don’t understand how warfarer is going to work exactly but I don’t care enough to look it up. It’s so depressing that somebody on the dev team has such a giant stick up his ass about forcing specialization when the most popular playstyle in DDDA was jack of all trades. Level ups barely account for at most 20% of end-game stats, and there's nothing stopping you from spending your first 100 levels maxing out every vocation for augments and skills before swapping to Wayfarer to make the most out of it

I am more interested in Fighter and Warrior right now, but I'm definitely going to be trying a bunch of different vocations on my first playthrough and Mystic Spearhand is one of them, so I guess it's pretty accurate.
I got Mystic Spearman, which I guess makes sense since I was a Mystic Knight in DD1

It looks like a huge upgrade in every single way. The fact that air light attack isn't going to be the optimal way to play Warrior is huge now, it actually has meaningful core skills and is fully fleshed out like other vocations
Being able to attack while standing on top of a large monster (this applies to everyone) is fricking huge for Warrior too, no more light attacking ankles until the monster falls over required

what do "advanced" and "hybrid" mean
Vocations come in colors. Red melee, yellow ranged, blue magic, green homosexual.
Advanced is red+1, still the same gimmick just a different class ie fighter (sword and board) > warrior (big sword)
Hybrid is red + yellow or similar, ie assassin (sword + bow)
In the first game only you could go hybird, while pawns had basic or advanced classes (which has the best stat growth at least)

Warrior was only good if you stacked knockdown and STR. You could one shot a lot of bosses with arc of obliteration. One guy even one shot death with that skill that reflects damage taken while it's charging. I'm in agreeance with you on the main though. Just played a hard mode run with warrior, and it was a pretty boring experience.

Lower stats than other vocations, does not have access to Meister Skills that other vocations learn at max rank, technically only 3 skills since 1 skill has to be used to weapon swap

Larger characters can carry more, since Warrior weapons are heavy and armor is heavier it is better to be a larger character for Warrior.
Furthermore, with a larger body and longer arms you also have a larger attack range

If it winds up anything like DDDA modding carry weight makes the game infinitely more fun and that was what really affected me. Shorter ranges weren’t an issue because your whole model got scaled down so weapons still hit when they looked like that should and it was neat to avoid attacks because of size.
If it's like the first, it affects the range of your attacks, and being small and weighting less means an harpy could grab you, and that's really funny as a warrior with a big ass weapon.
Otherwise, small legs mean you WALK slower, sprint speed being weight-class dependant.
You will dampen your lantern if you're small, and some monsters will have a hard time touching you.

It's up to you. Apparently some vocations are not as straight forward to obtain, not like in 1 were you just picked what you wanted from the Gran Soren board. Some are unlocked through quests.

This did not happen. In fact, they increased it and all vocations are more distinct from each other and have do not overlap anymore, which means every vocation is more unique compared to 1.

The difference is that assassin was cool and had a sword
Now if you want to be a guy with a sword, you also need to be the shield guy, but can't have a bow
And if you want a bow, you can be the bow guy, or the magic bow guy(lucky you), but can't have sword or daggers
And the dagger guy doesn't get the cool magic skills or ranged options, or even that grappling hook from DDO, he just gets to be gay and suck dicks in return for being the one who is legally allowed to climb on enemies
