it's shit
The salty soulsgays are already here. DD2 will mog your soulslop.
>DD2 will mog
lol thinking it's going to do anything. no one plays shit
I can hear the trembling in your boots from here, Soulsdrone
>can't even sell as much as dark souls' shittiest game
lmao can't wait for DD2 to flop
In DD1, there are 3.5k players on Steam at this moment. That's a lot for a rather niche game with no multiplayer that came out more than 10 years ago and was ported to PC more than 6.
That's more than in DS1 and DS2 together, and as many as in DS3, each of which has multiplayer.
People played Elden Slop.
I'm gonna assume you are underaged because dragon's dogma and elden ring are both amazing.
>dragon's dogma and elden ring are both amazing
Not him but you need to stop... elden ring is a fricking overrated shit
I'm gonna assume you are underaged
Because he shits on a game released last year or whenever it was?
>said the 20 year old
Assume then you are a moron and ER is overrated shit
33 actually.
I'm gonna assume you are underage because you like open world slop.
you are underaged
I don't think over 30 counts as underage.
embarrassing
You liking shit games?
Yeah.
of course freemasons play gnostic dogma
Only played it for like 2 hours.
Reddit Ring is fricking trash
damn that is hecking epic never heard that one before where do you get your ideas
>DD2 will mog your soulslop.
DD1 already mogs their schlop
Kingsfield already mogs souls slop
Any character action game mogs souls slop
Most ARPG mog souls slop
Soulsborne is shit
bloodborne is good
but go ahead call me a gay baby moron
you are a gay baby moron 🙂
Filtered.
Darksouls 1 is my favorite game and DDDA my second. What now homosexual?
Who axed?
Dsgays really are atheists/vegans/cyclists
axed?
I'd rather be any of those three than some ebonomics speaking mutt.
It's jank shit
Don’t open it

I am already gone
It's comfy jank shit
> what am I in for?
Just play the fricking game and maybe you'll find out
Something about wolves and how they hunt.
>DD threads are dying already
Did they hype die that fast?
TIS EVEN LARGER UP CLOSE
busy playing.
It's been almost a month since the trailer. Threads are will probably go on for a few more days and then stop till TGS
it is once again normalgay repellent which is a good thing and there's otherwise not that much to talk about
We hardly have anything to discuss.
>any tips for a first playthrough?
Take good care of your pawn. Make sure you manage their gear the same way you do yours.
That's it. Have fun anon, welcome to Gransys.
Don't worry about the stats system in this game. Just switch around vocations and try them all out as much as you like
Post your magick archers so I can have inspiration for fashion
wolfs hunt in packs
Do the main quest as you like, but explore the world in between story bits too. You should probably wait until beating the main game before trying the expansion as well.
>any tips for a first playthrough?
Wolves hunt in packs, that large tree is even larger up close, all roads lead to gran soren and they're masterworks all, you can't go wrong.
Any mods to make this shit fun? Like extra enemy variety early on, I went into the BBI and honestly looks much cooler than anything in the main game even if the first thing I see is wolf but poison.
What is the best dicky class?
heal bawd
Why should I tell you when your pawns will tell you everything about what lies ahead for you?
All roads lead to gran soren.
Your pawns tend to ramble a lot, but they'll tell you pretty much everything about the game. If you're stuck on a quest, try checking the quest knowledge of the pawns you hire.
'Tis a large tree.
You were fooled into liking it and I'll explain why:
-No indication on where roads lead
-No hint of what enemies are weak to
-No explanation of when enemies are alone or in groups
-No warning of which status effects to avoid
-No clue to which items are masterworks
Honestly no idea how people can defend this game
>No hint of what enemies are weak to
WOLVES ILL LIKE FIRE, ARISEN
SOAKED TO THE BONE
>finished hard mode at level 96, killed a dozen drakes
>no fricking dragonforged gear beyond what i got from the final boss
>attack power a little over 1400 for both weapons, assassin
Can I go to Black personblack isle or do I need to speedrun the story so grigori can forge my shit? I have 999 strength periapts from fournival that I can use to buff if that matters.
>level 96
Yes I think you'll be ok.
forge your shit first before enter in BBI
>forge your shit first before enter in BBI
A) He don't have to.
B) The sooner he kills Daimon the sooner he'll gain access to the cursed dragon easier and lesser kin's stronger cousins for dragonforge farming.
You can, but keep in mind there aren't that many opportunities to dragonforge during your first run through Bitterblack, plus certain monsters may or will push your shit in if you're not careful/ready. Cursed Dragons have the highest dragonforged rate outside Grigori, but they're also very strong even with the best gear BBI has to offer with the trade being you can kill them faster. The lesser kin's elemental cousins also have higher dragonforge rates than their mainland counterparts, but they're also stronger and more annoying to deal with.
There's a chamber early on in BBI called Duskmoon Tower that's a safe haven the first time around, and a danger zone after you kill Daimon. Be ready to fight a firedrake or thunderwyvern whenever you go back there, the however is this room allows you to keep summoning cursed dragons to it. So you'll kill the lesser kin, put down bait meat, kill the cursed dragon. Leave the room, any door should work, then reenter and another one should be spawned already.
You can fight cursed dragons the moment you step in bbi
There is a super important item you'll get as part of the main quest called the wyrmcrest ring. When you get this ring, make a forgery of it at the black cat and then turn the forgery in to finish the quest instead of turning in the real ring.
The ring just sits in your inventory and gives you a permanent 10% cast speed buff. It's little mctitty.
It's alright. I beat it earlier today. I would advise against picking the warrior class (it's not bad, just not overpowered). The first hour is also a drag but the game improves after that.
Warrior class is fantastic until BBI. Even in BBI it's incredibly fun against certain enemies like Eliminators, and then against others it's just boring because you're only jump attacking and nothing else, or you straight up can't hit them.
Flying enemies and the golems made the class less fun for me. I was also doing an Iraklis build so that may have contributed to my lack of enjoyment in the later chunk of the game.
fantastic is pushing it
I don't think there's a single encounter in the game that warrior is the best at
But it's a pretty easy game so until you get to BBI Warrior is still very able to beat every fight and even in BBI if you're patient you can make it work, but a lot of the stuff that makes warrior fun stops working
killing living armors with gravity from a max level Arc launch is great though
I more meant fun, not fantastic in terms of balance.
Warrior is pretty good at drakes tbh.
You can knockdown loop them with arc of deliverance.
Also very good at wyverns as weird as that sounds.
>wyvern in HM starts flying and moves backward to clip its tail in a wall so you cant climb or attack it
nothing personel, kiddo
You don't hit the tail silly anon. You time a jump attack as the wing flaps down. Wings are a weakspot and build stagger way faster. Warrior can do it with a single jump attack and you can time it at the same wingflap the wyvern uses to take off. So you can bully it endlessly.
Warrior is boring AND underwhelming
>as reliant on pawns as any mage/sorcerer in some instances
>can have only 3 skills at a time
>can do nothing about flying enemies being one of the two vocations without ranged options
>pretty bad even for berserk cosplayers thanks to absolutely atrocious regular light and heavy attacks that force you to jump attack everything
Yeah, flying enemies in particular make the warrior weather frustrating as he’s too reliant on Sorcerers. Or has no way of hitting the wieneratrice sac when flying.
Classes with bows/longbows as secondary weapons I think are best suited for Arisen as they are well suited for most enemy types and are great for climbing & stabbing bosses
>I would advise against picking the warrior class (it's not bad, just not overpowered)
You people need to step up your game and learn to Warrior
>any tips for a first playthrough?
Wolves hunt in packs.
I just started a new playthrough and got geforce now to play in my truck while at work.
>it's not on geforce now after 7 years
reeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
>geforce now
homie get a pc
Are pawns that I find at level 36 or whatever just pawns from people who quit playing? Sad to think about.
>abandoned pawns
I never thought about this before, frick you man.
They go on infinite adventures with infinite arisens on infinite worlds.
And yet they can never level up, get thrown into the brine when they are deemed useless or just left to die off screen. What a terrible existence.
There's a reason why you find Pawns at your level from 1 to 200 lol, the ones who didn't make it to the end provide support for us who continue onward. Such a cool ass system. My bro got filtered by the ox cart wagon escort and his pawn forever sits at like level 6 or 12 but won't ever get hired cause he threw on the dumbass free dlc gear
I have aught to say Arisen, but I don’t know if you can bear to hear it. This game is just the best.
Don't worry about minmaxing or anything, just get immersed. Don't quit after the cart quest.
>spent 20 fricking minutes taking down a golem in BBI as a lvl 23 sorc with a lvl 23 sorc pawn and two dumbass lvl 15 loaned pawns
>took out half the medals with throwblasts and fricking explosive barrels, thankfully got the foot one early
>loaned pawns are fricking moronic but occasionally the strider one will hit a medal and start exclaiming good things
>finally get it down to only two medals left, the head one and the chest one
>strider lucks into a headshot as the thing fires off a laser blast
>oh shit.png she's learning on the job
>start timing my lassitudes when it fires its laser so the strider pawn can get ez headshots
>knock the thing down
>fighter pawn who has until this point been a useless piece of shit jump attacking the legs suddenly goes into overdrive and shreks the chest medal as strider rains arrows down on the head
>run up and do a jumping heavy sorc blast on the head
>kills it
best fricking feel holy shit what a game
Kino
How much everfall should I do before going to the dlc island? I'm level 46.
As much or as little as you want, really. There's no end or boss there as such, it's just a spot to farm wakestones for that one quest (which will lead to the final end of the main story).
Personally, I try to do almost every room once. At least attempt to find that one merchant, he might have really good equipment that helps with BBI.
This is true, if you're aughtistic about equipment there's some pretty decent Everfall only stuff. Much of it in 2% drop chance chests only (put on a podcast and start Godsbaning), but some of it also from a couple merchants scattered throughout the depths.
How does Godsbaning work? I've heard people say to do it for loot, does that mean just killing yourself and hitting retry to go back to the autosave of entering the room entirely rerolls the loot in the chests?
Sort of. Chest roll contents when you open them. So you can save right over a chest, check it, and then Godsbaning is faster than navigating to "quit without saving" etc. Even faster if you're not carrying wakestones (that adds an extra click) but that's kind of hard to do in the Everfall.
Damn at that point I think I'd just cheat in items lol
I fricking love the few dragons dogma memes that actually exist
>aughtistic
based
None tbh.
The only unique encounters are hydras, the Ur dragon and the evil eye so you could just do those.
What's the most Black personish enemy in the game (in your opinion)? It comes down to wolves and harpies for me. They're just straight up not fun to fight at all.
t. warrior
only someone who has never seen a ranged attack would say this
Living Armor, requiring magick to attack them past a certain point is stupid.
just throw coins at them
Huh?
buy coin pouches from fournival and throw those at the living armor to kill it after its armor breaks
wraiths
them dissipating on hit makes them annoying even as a magic class because your pawns will constantly smack them before you can get off your spell that will 1shot them
BBI Elder ogres, I'm just sick of dealing them
Any dog-like enemy. Applies to almost all other games because dog Black folk are always not fun to fight.
Cowardly griffins.
Ghost enemies and ranger bandits/pawms specifically.
Hellhounds
Ghosts
corrupted sorcerer pawns that insta cast maelstrom and juggle me in the air for 20 seconds
What are corrupted pawns anyway? Is that what happens to pawns when their arisen turns into dragons?
Firedrakes.
I can somewhat deal with the other Black personish enemies but firedrakes take the cake since i always have one moment in the fight where i lose my cool.
Why?
For some reason their weaksport is very low on the ground and everytime you climb it, him moving and clipping in the ground will move your character and frick your camera up so you will have an unreasonable hard time just getting there and do damage.
And even if you get there one arm swipe will hit you and knock you out.
Or he'll just spin on himself and frick your camera up.
Or simply fly and burn you stamina.
The other drakes can be dealt with, even the wyverns who like to fly are less Black personish since when you can grapple there's no trouble staying on the weakspot and killing her.
Firedrakes are just c**ts always pop conqueror peritaphs on them.
As a mystic knight I love fighting firedrakes. Their extremely aggressive AI means that I get to charge Demonswrath a lot faster than most enemies.
Yeah the melt firedrakes pretty easy.
Other melee classes not so quite.
Works on my machine
My man you re with end level gear...
Fair, but the point is, their weak point is the easiest one to hit without climbing.
does shield meme work with periapts?
Why hasn't anyone mentioned mimics? They have this stupid instakill qte on chest open unless your pawn triggers it first or your pawn helps you out and they are impossible to point out, spawing randomly.
Literally any Golem. what the frick.
Succubi and gargoyles are pieces of shit
Minotaurs
Garm. Not because they're hard fights (after a while), but they spawn at the absolute WORST instances in BBI in fights where your hands are already full.
>3rd leg of BBI
>enter chamber with two condemned goreclops
>three garm may spawn at the fricking entrance to that chamber
>it's cramped as hell with not much space to move
>if you try to take the fight to the main floor then there's Siren and condemned goreclops to content with
Or conversely:
>reach condemned Goreclops room
>get to the main floor where the Goreclops are
>fighting for your life in a cluster frick of sirens, strigoi, corrupt pawns, eliminator combos
>garm spawn
In theory you can trigger a goreclops to free itself and go apeshit which can hurt the enemies and possibly kill them for being in line of fire of the big frick, but that's also making an already busy fight even busier as you're trying to dodge whatever's already trying to kill you while avoiding club swings and stomps.
Eliminators before anything else.
Then this. Frick hellhounds, frick wargs, frick garm.
>Frick hellhounds, frick wargs, frick garm.

fricking shit anon, that was a good one

turn stamina drain outside of combat off
I should make this a pasta, typed this out so many times over the years:
Height and weight matters in a lot of ways, sometimes in a very realistic manner. For instance, if you want to carry a lot of stuff, including armor, make a large character. Smaller characters regenerate stamina faster, which helps with spammy playstyles.
Avoid guardian and nexus inclinations on pawns, unless you know what they do.
Avoid giving commands unless you know what they do.
Change classes often, don't obsess over stats. Playing a class unlocks passives that you can use for any class. Warrior for instance has very strong passives for any physical class, sorcerer for magical classes. But they are all worth trying. Mage is for pawns, he has healing but lacks the strong attack spells, but there is nothing wrong with starting as mage.
You can kick the oxen to make him go faster.
Fear the night.
Do the witchwood quest before going down the pawn guild. Advancing main quests can cancel out certain sidequests. You don't need to do all sidequests, but the witchwood quest is a pretty important one. You can go to the city safely, but doing the quest down the pawn guild will cancel it out. If the bandits are too tough, come back at night or just run past them.
I'm also doing my first playthrough. What difficulty should I go with? The ultra hard one seems weirdly balanced, is it a meme?
Hardmode is made for ng+. It's fun to do once you are already used to the game and to switch things up, but not for a first timer. Not only is the difficulty complete bullshit at the start with wolves one-shotting you and even bats doing tremendous damage, but it also showers you in exp and gold so much that it flips its difficulty on its head at some point and it becomes easy again until you hit the next spike.
Stick to normal.
Thanks, I figured it was something like that. Weird that it's available from the start
I thought I never saved this but I did.
Don’t fall for the min-max meme. Play however you want. Always upgrade your gear.
Look out for which items are masterworks
Dragon Age 2 level KINO. Enjoy the press button get awesome and adventure-KINO
it's like skyrim with slightly more advanced monster hunter combat but far smaller world to explore.
Is this game actually fun to play without knowing exactly what you need to do? From reading DD threads, it seems like you need to follow so many specific and obscure things in order to not frick up your character and pawn. Especially the fact that apparently you absolutely need to swap vocations and min-max the shit out of everything you do in order to be effect. I just want to pick a fighter and play a fighter.
The game is piss-easy so I don't know what "fricking up" your character or pawns means.
>you absolutely need to swap vocations
What?
>and min-max the shit out of everything you do in order to be effect
What?
well, that's what I've been picking up from DD threads. That you need to swap vocations all the time in order to unlock different passives that are a must have for a completely different vocation.
Maybe you should try actually playing the game.
It's just Ganker spergs who want to pretend they are 1337 for playing... a single player RPG lol. It is as if some autist thought his FF7 party indicated great virtue.
you dont have to min max anon
It's useful to grab the passives of other classes, but not always needed. Depends on the class, some are more self-reliant, some benefit greatly from picking the passives of other classes.
You can start as fighter and then switch to warrior and never need to play another class again, for instance.
it's a single player game anon, there's literally no "wrong" way to build your character unless you're actively going out of your way to play shitty on purpose
>what am I in for?
Mediocre boring game that you'll most likely quit after realizing how shallow it is.
>any tips for a first playthrough?
Get something to watch on a second monitor so you don't fall asleep a few hours in.
>bought the game for 5 bucks
>cries because he only got 44 hours out of it
can't refrain from watching gay porn that hard huh
These 44 hours are the result of me trying to get into the game 3 times over the years, and coming to the exact same conclusion every single time.
I swear you people who hype up this kusoge like it's the second coming of christ are only doing so because it was your first game in the action rpg genre.
It's ok it took me several times to get into the game as well surely it will click the 4th time or your balls will finally drop.
If my balls are dropping anywhere it'll be down you're (you are) mom's mouth.
Oh so close but we were looking for the word throat not mouth. Better luck next time kiddo.
Who's "we" and why can't you stop thinking about my balls?
This shit is super mid, dungeon exploration, questing, looting to make better items. A thousand games games did it better than Dragons gayma, I swear the only fans of this game are trans because they wish they could be their e-girl pawns. Easy skip
Zoom harder, here's your receipt it says "gay"
>A thousand games games did it better
such as?
It would be nice if you could filter pawns based on their inclinations
restarting the game 100's of times because there's something off about your created characters
bro…
Just give the warrior a crossbow/hand cannon. It's clearly a berserk reference just go all the way already.
Nah I'd rather have six bonk attacks
why not both
Because I'd rather have some ridiculous move that propels me towards my ranged foes instead, like throwing my sword/hammer while it's attached to a chain on my wrist and it sends me flying.
Yeah that would be fricking sick.
CAPCOM
No wait i got an even better idea, make it a hookshot. Aim it like a javelin, throw it at a big enemy and it pulls you towards it. small enemies are pulled towards you
Imagine this:
Warrior gets a move similar to strider's leaping stone. You sprint and jump off an enemy, ally or object propelling yourself towards a flier for a devastating version of jumping attack
Nah, it's a specialized class and should feel like one. Instead of adding crutches, they should make what he is already good at more powerful.
Watering down playstyles is never fun.
ok but I didn't ask you
So like, a battle cry/taunt quick buff that makes your next attack do double stagger damage. But the next attack that hits you does double damage to you.
can you play through this game with just your character and your main pawn without it becoming too overwhelming and difficult? I don't know what it is exactly, but something about the whole renting other player's pawns system is really annoying to me and I don't want to engage with that system whatsoever.
Yes, you can also go solo.
Yes you also gain more xp if you are playing by yourself/just with your pawn. Assassin has perks for playing by yourself.
>play until level 11 until I rest for the first time
>Pawn comes back with loads of bestiary knowledge and 120,000 rift crystals and 4/4/4 average rating
>Never came back with anything new ever again, not even new RC
Didnt even get that ui where it shows you people who played with it.
early and late game seem to the time where your pawn is most likely to be the same level as other people and be hired
early game in particular since people are less likely to be discerning about what they are looking for
>around 35 hours in and reach lvl32 and clear all of the wyrm hunt assigments (and fricking around a bit)
>about to meet the duke himself
>got warned that all previous quests that i'm still doing will get finished
>missinterpret it as that the sidequests from the boards are also going to be unavailable
>oh shit gotta work on them now
>clear a bunch of them to the point i almost got fed up
>frick it lets save those for NG+
>finally decided to paid the duke a visit
>the the quest that were going to be unavailable were the ones from the wyrm hunt
now i'm reaching lvl50 with 55 hours in. how much did i overleveled?
A lot but who cares if you have a shitty weapon you can balance it out a bit.
just switched to warrior today, fighter is so much fricking better holy shit
Hey griffin, frick you!
is this damage based on momentum or are this guys stats just big
Big stats
The armor set he's using has +15 strength, that along with the clout augment's +20 can do big numbers
Frick em
The griffin did nothing wrong here, he was just trying to eat.
Fought this Griffin homie today, truly the Rathalos of DD
warrior is sincerely so god damn un fun compared to every other class
Warrior is DD incarnate. You think it's janky and unfun intil it clicks. Then it remains janky and underpowered but you find yourself enjoying it more and more.
I think it's because it forces you to rely on game mechanics rather than the class carrying you.
im not finding it underpowered, quite the opposite, the problem is all the moves are boring as hell to play
I tend to agree but it's still my second fav.
Maybe it's because i feel more involved in the fights calculating risks more often.
Warrior is the only class that I just don’t like playing. Not having 6 skills just adds insult to injury, but at its core it’s just slow, doesn’t really have good defensive or movement options, and spamming jumping attacks is your best option 9/10 times. Getting a once in a lifetime OHKO on a flying gryphon doesn’t fix all that.
I really hope the class is different and more fun in DD2.
Mage -> sorcerer -> magick archer was my favorite class progression.
>done BBI twice
>still don't really have that great of gear
>kinda don't want to run BBI again with my current gear
>also kinda want to switch vocations again
>this is like my 4th playthrough of the game
Should I just cheat in better gear and mess around on hard mode?
>4th playthrough
>he isn't on hard mode
what the frick are you doing
4th playthrough total, I've had different characters. This character is only around level 80 right now
Ok so why are you even asking by this point you should have installed half of the mods from nexus
Idk probably because I'm moronic. Cheating time I guess
There is little reason to play the original DD since the sequel will effectively be DD 1.5. I'd refund it if I were you
Bait
seriously lack of mystic knights in this thread i will hit my balls until everything dies
i fell ya anon, mixing those balls with full moon slash is fricking great
People need to stop ignoring the first quote.
Been replaying it and have done some quests I never did before.
jewbreasts or masterworks guy for the gold idol? stumped on this one since they both sell good stuff..
there is a lot of missable stuff in the quest notice boards
Jewbreasts for bawdwear, Caxton for enchanted weapons.

IT HATES FIRE!
Anyone want their pawns run? I'm looking for Master Rings that give 100 strength and magic. Post pawn name, level, gender and vocation. Recent inn rests are appreciated as well.
She looks a bit different now but I don't have another screenshot. Level is the same tho.
Hired. I have this cute gobbo in my favorites. It made summoning her easier.
Nice, I hope she's useful.
>3 star bestiary on all kind of goblins
Posting pawn. I am looking for any ranger pawn or mage pawn in level 60-70. If anyone has one, please share.
Hired.
I love spunky gobbos and I love fighter pawns. Seeing them perfect parry 10 times in a row and run ahead and take on giant monsters is always cool.
I like running Ganker's pawns because when I first started out when DD2 was released, a lot of cool guys on this illyrian amphora kiln helped me out with their pawns. Also, I really got attached to Edgeblade and his wienery attitude.
>struggle to kill two Firedrakes at once
>battle finally ends after dozens of curatives used
>Edgeblade goes "Hmph... is that all?"
Love that chuuni
Hey, thank you again for taking Edgeblade on a tour. After defeating Grigori, I purified your present and it was nothing less but but the Gransys Flamberge.
Not only is this weapon powerful, but it also looks appropriately edgy for my equally edgy boy.
>Gransys Flamberge.
It's named flamberge but doesn't do fire damage. Why did they do it?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flamberge
Yeah, this one doesn't do fire damage either, how come?
I don't know what you want anon. The only fire flamberges I know are the flameSoul Reaver and the Dragon Warrior's flamesword from Battle Realms.
It literally means flame sword though. I understand it having undulating surface to cause nasty wounds but they could have made it a flaming sword in dragons dogma in which enhancements exist.
wow i just got a lot of yous calm down bros
Do you guys remember that official side-site that was up and running during the initial ps3/360 release, people would make accounts and upload pics of their pawns social MySpace style and IIRC you could save up coins or something from socializing to buy yourself some sort of 2D "gaia online" house? Tell me I'm not losing it here and that was a thing
>buy 100 empty flasks for cheap
>fill them all up with spring water
>split them between my pawns
>never have to open the menu to heal again
tried this. mashing the collect water is tedious and your pawns can't help you do it
>your pawns can't help you do it
you what?
if you collect your holy coom at a spring all pawns are going to do the same thing as long as they have empty flasks in their inventory
they do to a point. it's like 10 flasks and then they stop. still better to spend a few minutes collecting water then interrupting combat every time you get whacked.
they don't heal themselves until they're in the red.
>give my pawns tons of healing items
>they never use them
what am i doing wrong
The flaw with that is it turns them utilitarian - but if you just want a healer that's ironically better than anodyne from mage go for it
don't play as a fighter, it's the worst class of the game
>can't do huge damages like warriors
>can't reach certain enemies, certains places
>Daimon is horrible, you have to climb on him, and eat all his magick attacks when Fighters have shitty magick defense
>you do less damages than archer and mages
>b-b-but you have a shield!!! Who cares ?
I finished the game but I can't beat Daimon second form again, he kills me so quick and I barely do damages to him, this game is broken and I hope they fix it in the sequel or else I'm out
>don't play as a fighter, it's the worst class of the game
Literally wrong.
>>b-b-but you have a shield!!! Who cares ?
Oh, I see, you played him wrong.
Please, enlighten me
I'm lvl 179, got strong dragonforged gear and I have to wait several turn to kill Death, when people online use archer and kill it in one go, with lower level characters
Look up videos of people beating boss super quick, almost none of them use fighters
Against Drake fighters are terrible, my brainless pawns do the most damages with their ice attack
Death cannot be slain in one go ser
>Look up videos of people beating boss super quick, almost none of them use fighters
None of them use warrior too.
But hey, since you axed
Hey Infinite Cringe, are you a boy or a girl?
She sounds fat.
She's a*stralian
god this is like watching a smash ultimate montage. 10 memes every 2 seconds
Have you even watched these videos ? I know this channel and this chick blatantly said that fighters and warriors suck
she just knows every inch of the game and knows how to turn this shitty class into something bearable, she probably used a ton of periapts and other strength boosting potions to make these videos
for example she uses another broken aspect of the game when you can do more damages with shields only if you have certain items, which is incredibly stupid
for the daimon part she has like a 1000+ hours on the game so she knows every movesets, if you're just starting this game, you're gonna suffer a lot more (unless you chose another better class)
>this chick blatantly said that fighters suck
No.
ok then did you use fighters in your playthrough ? You seem to be sure it's a good class so please give me tips, I'm all ears sensei
I used strider and remain strider to this day because I always go for lightly armored rogue-types in video games.
so you don't know then. I think I've seen another strategy with striders against Daimon, with a skill that Fighters don't have
>so you don't know then.
I do know. I've played the game for 500 hours, some vocations longer than others.
Here's one tip for free: your shield isn't "who cares", it's your secondary weapon and it's great.
please, gatekeep more, it makes you look even cooler
>give me advice
>ok, here's one
>WHOAAA, YOUR SO COOL!!
it's funny how she has so many hours put into the game just to be on the same level as guys with half the playtime
>she just knows every inch of the game
>fighters and warriors suck
Boring shit, with basically empty fields/0 actual content while spending hours just going from point a to point b. Janky gameplay with very little variety. Shitty, paper thin story.
The incels only praise this garbage to be contrarians and because they simp for pawns.
why do you homosexuals always have to make up some headcanon about people who like games you dont
because it's true, incel b***h.
more headcanon, methinks the lady doth project too much
ratio, cope, seethe and dilate. L guy
Temper your expectations for a hidden gem game which was notoriously half-finished, not a masterwork.
Don't expect too much from it and you'll have a great time.
>any tips for a first playthrough
play yellow classes
this whole
>warrior is bad!
meme is so fricking moronic
its a single player fricking game, nobody cares about your epic daimon kill times
and literally no other class in the game can compare to the fell of ARC OF OBLITERATION
>so slow enemies just jump away before you swing
>no moves to close distance
but yeah its fun when your pawns bring something down and you can rain hell on its face
Daimon is the real final boss of the game so struggling against him when morons use a better class and kill him easily, it's kinda infuriating
>struggling against daimon
you literally pop your periapts, jump on his face and bash him to death in seconds, each hit is like half of HP bar
and that's on a non-minmaxed build, just straight up warrior from level 10
you haven't actually played warrior if you think he struggles against daimon
but then he kills you with his thunder and immolation attacks
you have pretty much the highest health in the game as a warrior, you'll be fine, and daimon will die first
I never had an easier time with Daimon as while as warrior.
Needs good BBI gear (as with everything), but doesn't rely on spamming blast arrows. Just pommel his face and stunlock him into oblivion.
>PC version
>poured countless hours into Daimon farming during the COVID years for encumbrance enhancing greaves
>planned to do a warrior only run for my pawn and I in Speedrun
>completely burnt out from the constant Daimon murdering to complete my current to start anew
Plus I still want to grind Daimon further to get two of all the level 3 bitterblack weapons, some of which I'm still missing like a second Dragon's Dogma.
I've done warrior runs through Bitterblack. Daimon's easy. The only part that sucks is if you have the three Living Armor standing in front of his chamber doors since you can't single them out like you would a ranged or magic class.
>GUYS YOU NEED TO AUTISTICALLY MINMAX TO LEVEL 200 BEFORE THE GAME BEGINS.
>DUDE JUST SKIP EVERYTHING AND GO STRAIGHT TO BBI USE THROWBLASTS
what the frick is wrong with these people?
While I do do that, I agree those people are annoying.
It's insane to tell a new player to minmax (even though you don't really need to in the first place) 190 levels when they don't even know where to change after getting to level 10. And probably are above level 10 already so they can't.
I usually just like to max out the vocations i want to use which are the red and blue ones
My purchase of DD2 hinges on whether I am going to forcefully raped against my will again in the sequel.
This and early watergod's altar are my favorite things to do every playthrough
You're supposed to throw/kick the princess through this section right? Nothing else makes sense because she refuses to move.
No you fricking wife-beating woman-abusing barbarian, you're supposed to leap across in a manly fashion while holding her in an princess carry.
I guess my arisen is a fat butthole because he can't jump while holding her.
>you fricking wife-beating woman-abusing barbarian
lmao
what quest was this
The one with the worst girl.
God I hope DD2 won't have BBI-like cancer.
BBI is fricking great and a true endgame experience. Why don't you like it?
The only things I'd change about it are less rng gear drops and more variety/rng with the carrion feeder mechanic.
>Why don't you like it?
Lootboxes and the grind is too repetitive.
hoping that the mystic knight gets some necromancy skills in 2. i want to play as a death knight
I hope MK dissapears and they put Shield Sage
Sometimes Daimon's AI goes full moron and he just floats here and there
I think it has something to do with him trying to cast his fire to throw you off while going into the next phase. Happens to me a lot
Can I make my wife as a pawn?
Looks like the american children woke up, good thread while it lasted.
>what am I in for
ending up on a statistic
Doesn't that make DD look very good if only 1.6% of people on Ganker who participated in that poll feel like it was a bad game? And Witcher 3, one of the most acclaimed and beloved open world RPGs of all time has even more votes?
>Doesn't that make DD look very good if only 1.6% of people on Ganker who participated in that poll feel like it was a bad game
yeah, because you have a list of every single user on Ganker and disingenuously use that to discredit the fact that the game topped a poll with dozens of games.
>And Witcher 3, one of the most acclaimed and beloved open world RPGs of all time has even more votes
That only makes DD look worse in comparison, you dumb troglodyte. DD is an obscure and niche RPG. It's so shit that it got enough votes to lock horns with one of the most played RPG's of all time (perhaps THE most played RPG of all time).
yeah but Witcher 3 is universally regarded as a great RPG, if not one of THE greatest RPGs. So that poll just shows a bunch of hipsters with shit taste. And again, we're talking about less than 2% of the total participants of that vote so I'm really not sure how that makes DD or Witcher 3 for that matter look bad.
>Witcher 3 is universally regarded as a great RPG, if not one of THE greatest RPGs
Is it?
>Dark Souls and New Vegas aren't in the top 3

I just realized that the art book that coems with dark Arisen on steam isn't the Dark Arisen art book but the base game one.
nice one capcom.
Bro I hate japs, they still haven't given us a good scan of the extra 40 pages in the DA artbook even after all these years.
Why are DD fanboys so unhinged? Every time somebody call out the game they like for what it is - a mediocre 5-6/10 shallow action adventure - they lash out with deflections to other games at best, and at worst go straight to calling you names. Actual cult behavior.
well when a group of people keeps saying the game you really like is bad and they repeatedly demonstrate they can't appreciate the finer nuances of the game and the world it represents there's really no sense arguing, it's been done to death and both normalgays and soulsbabs are demonstrably part of that
gatekeeping morons isn't cult like behavior at all and you're dramatizing events that happen in the discussion for literally every franchise on this board
maybe because, before we had good threads with valid criticism that people agreed upon, but now its nothign but discord trannies trying to create wars between fanbases, straight up lying about the sequel and a bunch of other crap.
Madeleine paizuri in the sequel hopefully.

Just play it blind. There are some intricacies that are fun to figure by yourself
That's a big cyclops

Tis our curse that the game must exist in such incompletion while we remain in this material coil. And it is in that incompletion of the game that all human suffering, pain, and lamentation finds its inexorable source. Whence, then, is salvation?

I just want a schierke pawn
a charming 7/10 with hints at a 9/10
Just know where everything is and exactly where to go at all times and its a good game
A friend gifted it to me and I literally just started playing about 4 hours ago.
It was okay, but then I realised I could pick up and throw goblins in a fight.
This gon' be a good game.
Just look up the golden idol quest fren.
And maybe quina's too.
They're easy to lock you out of good content.
If you see a pawn that looks like casca it's probably not mine but you should hire her anyway
>what am I in for?
fun
>any tips for a first playthrough?
have fun
I fricking love Stone Forest, last run I did was a cannonless Mystic Knight and it was great fun
I don't see the point of dropping the GC but Stone Jungle is amazing, can confirm.
Yeah. I believe periapts are the final multiplier for all kinds of damage, so if it deals damage it works with periapts.
Am I the only one who was disappointed with phase 2 Daimon?
Phase 1 he feels really agro and menacing, and then phase 2 he kinda floats around waiting to die.
He's a gear and mechanics check.
Works great the first time you fight him but he's easier to "solve"
>not using full moon slash for maximum projectiles
4/10
Hate his belly face, looks dum
the belly face is fricking awesome because the entire thing is rigged to a giant semi-transparent dragon body that operates behind it
>he kinda floats around waiting to die
exactly. dude is just an unliving husk controlled by the physical manifestation of broken destiny at that point
The point was that I didn't want to spend the entire game slapping a glowing orb again, just wanted to do a knight who uses actual magic spells
Just use it up close.
MK has several mechanics that reward that playstyle dramatically.
I'm not new to MK, I just didn't wanna devolve the gameplay to GC spamming again. So instead I mostly did SF spamming since it's way stronger than the other alternatives lel
I played MK for 200-something hours, and never once did the gameplay devolve into GC spamming.
I'm like 4 FMS away from running out of stamina, cut me some slack.
You already posted multiple webms where you mostly spam GC
But I don't?
I use GC because it's dumb not to use GC - not even from the standpoint of damage but from the standpoint of how many synergies and interactions GC has with the rest of MK's kit - but I'm getting in there and hitting the monster AND the GC.
The only webm that is arguably "GC spam" is the Daimon speedrun one because that's just trying to go fast. And even that one has about 1/3 of not "spamming GC".
I don't think you understand the difference between "using the skill" and "spamming the skill".
NIGHT NIGHT homie ITS SLEEPY TIME
Do you get some buff for being at low health? Why are you always in red? it triggers OCD
He's immortal
Literally
There's an augment for buffs if you're at red.
I'm level 60 and yet a cursed dragon could nearly one shot me. Did I frick up my assassin build?
Cursed dragons are hard enemies
Nothing is hard in this game.
If you are level 200 or always using fivefold fury with blast arrows and periapts then sure. That anon said he is level 60.
>30 minutes trying to find something to play before I give up and do yet another run of BBI
FRICK
Old school wyzardry
I will never understand how ur dragon works
it's just a shared healthbar right? across a server
I guess but one time I stabbed him a couple times and got phat l00t
If you do enough damage to him, you'll get some rewards when he's eventually killed, just not as many as you would have gotten had you killed him during the grace period (or had you triggered the grace).
It's been awhile but I remember getting a really good sword for stabbing his ankles. It's also complete bullshit if you aren't playing a magic or bow vocation. I really hope they do something to fix that in dd2.
There's 4(or around that number) copies of the Ur Dragon, every 45 minutes or so they sync and average the damage and hearts destroyed across all copies. First copy to die triggers the grace period.
If you want to "solo" the Online Ur Dragon, you better have a lot of money cause you'll need 80 odd Maker's Arrows, and 8-10 hours free to do it.
The early game sucks ass. When you get to the capital, unlimited fast travel rocks are in your stash at the inn.
Dragon’s Sloppa
Can I make a good MK is my leveling was like this?
>mage up to level 10
>sorc until level 75
>warrior til level 100
>ma from that point on
You can level 200 levels fighter and MK will be good. Only minmax homosexuals care about what to level
Yeah that way you play everything but MK until level 200. Then you can curbstomp the ng+ as MK i guess.
Reminder to my fellow Dragon's Dogma CHADS. Play Dragon Age 2 at the same time for the full experience of adventure KINO
It's based.
Yeah, playing DD and DA2 back to back really helps you get a good idea of what soul and soulless mean when it comes to videogames.
Yes, both of them show you exactly what SOUL is. Pure action KINO
What pawn do I want for my MK?
Strider, Mage or Ranger
Mage or sorcerer.
Why?
You share equipment and can cover each others weaknesses more easily.
You can never go wrong by making your pawn a Sorcerer with a couple of affinities, quick-casting spells such as Levin or Ingle, Lassitude, and whatever suits you best.
Especially because online Sorcs are made by absolute morons most of the time, with one or two higher-level pawns being decent enough. People just keep giving them only spells such as Maelstrom, Bolide, Gicel, because muh big numbers, which renders such pawns useless under most circumstances.
Strider and Ranger pawns require you to be too conscious about your actions in combat. It's very easy to spoil their inclinations and turn a Strider into a much weaker Ranger or vice versa.
Pawns aren't good Warriors, and Fighter pawns are poor tanks which never tank anything worthwhile because enemies are focused on whoever damages them.
Mage for infinite buffs and heals, fantastic support class that you don't have to worry about because they usually hang back, give them some quick casting spells and they'll always be decent to have around
Sorcerer is the same except less utility more damage, don't fall for the "muh big spells" meme unless you want them to sit there charging up a meteor for one goblin all the time
Probably a yellow one since you got red and blue covered
I can't believe they made daimonv2 so god damn bad.
Why is the big finale literally the worst boss in the game?
Why is THIS the thing you have farm to get all the interesting gear?
Just why why why why
I want to have fun but itsuno wont let me. I guess I'll just bring 99s conqs and just fricking gib him with opportunism. But then why even play? I may as well just wait for DD2.
Bro wait for the Endless Tower in DD2
>Daimonv3
>Now with golem medallions
I am ready.
>Daimonv4
>you have to sever the tail first
But that would actually be fun
Longest escort mission in your life
Do you think we'll get our own possession spells in DD2?
That'd be cool.
I just want petrification to not be useless
>only works on anything smaller than a giant undead
>you could just use any other damage spell and kill it way faster
I want more necromancy, not just skull orbs that orbit you
Kill an enemy? Raise it from the dead to fight with you!
I unironically gonna play this for the first time, in all these years i've never had neither a decent enough rig nor a console to play it, and now i have a PS4 Pro
And although i enjoy playing blind, i welcome any advices besides "don't go full mage"
in the game again, old save in the beginning after some runs... I don't know if should use the OP equipment until Lv100
For Sorc players, always take Lassitude with you as a skill. Torpor is busted and it lets you get away with casting your big shit, especially against enemies that don't get off your ass
>not even started the game
>e-girl fighters everywhere
>try short character
>it sucks
huh
Smol chars are pretty good climbing monsters
So i been playing DDO
Whats up with the shield class?
>DDO
How is it? Is it fun even though you can't do quests? Or have they fixed that?
You can kill monsters and do dungeons, take it a testing ground right now to get builds.
Shield Sage? Support Tank class, but is a fricking beast if you do it with counters and shield rampart... also can buff elements and do element explosions for element status and taunt enemies.
not yet
in fact i can only play the tutorial since all monsters outside the giant city are lvl 95 and one hit kill your instantaneously
i gotta find the right exit from the big city so im not right in front of the end game shit
You need to go to the White Dragon Plaza (season 1) the giant city is from Season 3 if you want to level right.
the one with the giant white dragon?
City, but yes where the white dragon is... if you get out of that city all the monsters are low level and you can level there (usually Training Chapel killing the Cyclops a lot until Lv10 then move to the catacombs) if you see all the teleports most of them are listed in position by level zone (from low to high)

On the note of pawn hires, I've never been starved for hiring in the 10+ years I've been playing this game. I only ever make two types of pawn, tall dark skinned women or tall white boys and they've always pulled in good amounts of RC no matter the platform. Hell I've had people personally message me to friend them specifically so they could use my pawn. Has that ever happened for anybody else?
No. I’m on Playstation, level 97, Ranger pawn that’s been leveled for the strength augs, Challenger/Mitigator, and only one hire. He apparently used her to kill a Drake based on the knowledge gained, rated her 5 stars, and sent her back.
It's literally never happened for me.
I'll be your first time, anon.
please be gentle
Plap.
What is the RC even useful for besides hiring other pawns and BBI gacha?
Using the pawn vaxx at the encampment
i dont get why people give giving my pawn chestnuts

Most fun class?
strider/assassin
The one (You) enjoy playing the most
Playing Ranger like you're in a third person shooter is pretty fun
Magic Archer > Strider > Assassin > Sorcerer > Warrior > Magic Knight > Fighter > Ranger > Mage
Is it better to start strider or mage for magic archer?
Either is fine, I prefer strider.
strider for extra stamina
Warrior.
Strider, Assassin and Fighter
no one care about pawn level, post skills and inclinations
yes we care
you need to know the level to hire them
Posting my pawn, so you can hire her if you wish. She's pretty dumb, but that's not her main ***et.
imagine eurojank style rpg in visuals, but with god of war like epic monsters, pretty decent AI teammates that feel like they're actually playing like a player would (including dumb shit), and 100% emergent gameplay.
I can surmize my feelings of the first time playing it as:
1. wtf gay fetch quests
2. at least fun village and forests to explore
3. ok this hydra fight was kinda ok
4. I shoot in the EYE of a one eyed giant and it steps backwards in PAIN and falls off a CLIFF and dies in the ocean. 0 loot, 100% fun.
Also wolves hunt in packs.
It's more like nipponjank, considering there are a lot of Japanese games that feel kind of like DD. The entire EDF series or Kojima's games, to name a few. They also share in awkward moments: I honestly couldn't figure out whether Julien was being ironic when I defeated and revived him.
I meant the visuals. the whole colour palette and low poly villages have a distinct eurojank feel to me, like that german rpg jank like gothic 2.
Lots of walking, lots of jumping, lots of exploring, and it all feels a bit more realistic, the colour pallette is also very western I think. Aside from the dragon talking for a fricking hour on end in the end and how some cutscenes are choreographed over the top and feel nipponese, it's all very western with teh music (I dont mean the first version, I mean the ingame music and the second version intro music)
>mentioning kojima and games in one sentence without any irony

If you deal enough damage it will fall off, IIRC.
why dont you just take the pawn on your lap enough for the ciclops to get out of stun
I guess because no one else will try to get the helmet off
keep throwing the pawn AT the ciclops atacks
so he gets stuned
mages dont have much HP
Why you mage have lighting is the first question
To whip the ever loving SHIT out of ogres garm and ghosts, that's why.
>Ogre > Fire
>Garm > Holy/Lightning
>Ghosts > Holy (Phantasm immune to Lightning)
Huh?
Elder Ogres are weak to lightning, and the red ghosts you can strike at range along with the other variants besides the phantasms. Garms ofc get fricked by fulmination, and eliminators too.
But whipping the ass of things with brontide is just plain ol fun, anon.
Because I was sick of rolling pawn gacha in the rift and my pawn is using SnS. In hindsight, making a non mage pawn was probably a stupid idea.

ok sissie
fighter pawns are the best
too bad the AI is shit with Fighter or Warrior
it's funny how detrimental the AI is to their actual effectiveness. they would be so much stronger if they were programmed to just walk up to enemies and hit them
Warrior pawns are great if they only have exodus slash and their core skills to rely on
>90% of the time jumping away of the enemy and running
>5% trying to use a skills to run away again
Sounds like bad training and poor inclinations. Mine always gets into the fray, kills everything and uses escape slash exactly when he needs to.
ecliptic slash is good too if you get them fully equipped with full knockdown gear
How so?
Fighter pawn with no shield skills equipped will perfect block everything
put on only dragon's maw they will stunlock 24/7
>want to do pure BBI only run as sorc
>not having the ring sucks donkey butts
i hate it
Why does my mage pawn never get hired but my strider did?
Because noobs make principal pawn as mage to have a heal bawd
Speaking from someone who hires all the time -
1. I already have my main pawn as a mage, she will always be better due to being able to have the wyrmking ring that I don't have to juggle around each time I want to hire a mage
2. Mage pawns are the most common pawn you can find, you can spit in the rift and hit 10 of them
My fighter pawn often quickly runs out of stamina in boss fights. How can i prevent that from happening?
Do you perhaps have a high BBI weapon and a low-level pawn? Weapons have "level-requirements", most people don't notice because it's a pretty wide range. But below that and your skills are bleeding stamina.
Oh I haven't notice. I do have BBI gear on my pawn whose level is 64. Where do I find these level requirements?
Not in the game, check the wiki.
Level cap exists only till 55 as per the wiki. Stamina drain shouldn't occur after that.
Then, I have no idea.
Maybe your pawn is just spammy and didn't really get any good stamina growth from previous classes.
Korean girl!
