game breaking. faster stamina reduction and tankier enemies, but they will vomit you exp and gold to the point of trivializing everything really fast
enemy stats don't change with difficulty level
Many hate on hard mode while never having tried it themselves. Especially those that claim the game showering you with money destroys difficulty. As if money is hard to come by anyway. Hard mode is not that good and badly implemented, but people can be dumb.
there should be more incentives in dd2 to play on hard

says it starts off with even goblins being able to rape you but as soon as you can reliably start killing things you snowball super hard and can afford basically infinite consumables and the highest end most powerful gear way more often than you were supposed to be able to. All that being said i still prefer it because without the extra damage that hard mode gives enemies the game feels a bit too easy. People always say it gets "trivialized" but if you arent paying attention and get into a bad situation you can still be killed faster than you can open your menu and use one of your 9000 healing items.
People that play hard mode for the challenge should first try ignoring healing items. And combine both later.
