So, I have an issue with 2 quests in DD. This is my first playthrough, and I didn't realize how janked up things could get with quests. I started Land of Opportunity several days ago, and couldn't get Jasper to show back up after I talked to his wife and son. He just wouldn't show up at all for like 4 in game days. So, I ignored that quest and focused on the Wyrm Hunt quests. Completed all those. Went to the castle and spoke with the Duke and all that stuff. Took the Fournival trial quest. Now, all of a sudden Jasper shows back up, and I can't progress either quest, because he's stuck on the Land of Opportunity quest, and Foirnival is on his trial dialogue. What do I do?
Nothing Ever Happens Shirt $21.68 |
Nothing Ever Happens Shirt $21.68 |
if you set the active quest to trials and tribulations he should use his dialogue related to that quest. But since you never finished land of Opportunity I don't think he has anything to do with trials and tribulations.
Idk bros I have a huge feeling that the new DD is gonna be mid af
fr fr bruh on god dark arisen was bussin theres no shot 2 will be that lit
The digital revolution and it's consequences on the youth.
Move on some quests aren't that rewarding for all the bullshit you do.
Should this game be played with M&KB or Controller?
MKB is more bearable here than in monhun. If you play ranger the game becomes too fricking easy.
Just like DS, this game is perfectly playable with M+KB and only fingerless spastics can claim otherwise
Controller is significantly better. It's not about it being playable.
>Shit opinion presented as fact.
It's not an opinion. It's a third person action game where you fight lots of enemies that surround you. Actual 360 degree movement is objectively better than tank controls.
>tank controls.
>mouse + keyboard
The frick am I reading
You control the camera and your forward movement like you do in tank control games.
You have no idea what you’re talking about. Also for the record, I’ve played DD with controller and KBM. Works great with both.
Except that I've also played with both and controller is far better. It's still nice to hotkey things like lantern with a keyboard, but pretending that WASD with mouse for camera is just as good as actual analog movement is just wrong. You're not a hardcore gamer for using a worse control scheme, you're just as dumb as people who say fps games on console are just as good as m+kb because dual stick make them playable.
Please don’t reply to me with your moronic bullshit again.
Please don't lie to people about control schemes when they ask a question because you want to pretend the one you play more on is inherently better when it's objectively not.
anon, i think you just have no idea how to control movement with kb+m. WASD doesn't mean only having 8 directions, I can achieve full 360° movement with just a tiny shift of my mouse. Not that DD requires any overly precise movement in the first place
>I can achieve full 360° movement with just a tiny shift of my mouse
Post a webm of you running in a small circle.
Wait, I recognize you, you're that homosexual that had already ruined at least one other DD thread with your pathetic bullshit. Kindly frick off forever.
And you're the moron who's objectively wrong about movement and despite a bunch of claims about being able to do it, never posted a webm. Multiple people called you a moron. I was one of them.
I never interacted with you prior to this thread, schizo.
Again, maybe this time you'll understand
>Kindly frick off forever.
>schizo
Damage control won't save you.
>seen this happen twice
>both times started with shilling for keyboard
>then circle guy comes in
This is schizo samegayging isn't it?
Right on cue.
To the truly initiated, facts are also opinions.
>controller is significantly better
how so? Kb+m = WASD, space, shift. ctrl and alt in fights. No problem. Not sure what a controller is supposed to do better. In fact, aiming is probably way worse
>Not sure what a controller is supposed to do better
Have rumble in order to increase immersion.
It's not, only the staffs are easier to aim with on controller, and on m+kb you got item shortcut and mouse buttons.
Real yakuza use a controller
I really hope the missable quest bullshit is gone from the next game.
Why? It makes replays more interesting cause you didn't see everything the first time through.
You gotta wait for a while, until it's afternoon. He'll appear near the Inn.
He didn't for 4 straight days though. Insat there and waited for him for 4 days while piddling around. As soon as I took the inquisition quest, there he was.
huh. Maybe it was a glitch after all.
he should spawn at the southern entrance around noon, and if he doesn't exiting/entering the city SHOULD work
Still dumb that you cannot find him anywhere if you wait till morning/night
him and reynard make me want a rest until noon option
Can't evict the man if he just refuses to discuss it.
I'm gonna try stonewalling my landlord.
>durrr let me just make a thread instead of googling my dumbfrick
I didn't know this website became gamefaqs.
do people hire warrior pawns?
not really
I do. Frick being "optimal". If your guy is cool enough, I wanna watch him swing a big sword with me.
I prefer fighters but often hire warriors too
No one has ever hired my pawn
Only if they're cute and funny.
This. I will hire any vocation that is different from my own pawn into my e-girl harem.
Not much. My warrior pawn is level 40 something and has been hired a grand total of three times, two of which were from people on here generously running him through BBI. On the character I was playing before I decided to reset, I had gotten that many hires for a strider pawn by the time I did lure of the abyss. I hire them, though. In fact, I have one hired right now.
One thing I'll say, though. Don't put the charge skills on them. Even I don't hire those. They can't even use the lash skills properly despite yellow pawns having no problem using mighty bend/deathly arrow.
Ranged charged skills are not only faster but don't put you near enemies. Even with the stagger reduction while casting augment on pawns have a tendency to cancel their charge and run away when attacked.
No, that's not what I'm talking about. They outright don't know how to charge them. I've watched as they drop a harmless bonk on an enemy because they let go before even charging it to the first level. It's almost certainly bugged. There's no other reason why they would be able to time reaper arrows but not that.
They do it to try and stagger the enemy, like I said if an enemy aggros on them too close they will cancel their cast. For melee skills like arc or lash they'll just let out an uncharged use.
Since enemies are usually aggroed on them they just don't use them effectively at all. The best thing to do with a warrior pawn is to give them Iraklis and a lot of the mult-hitting moves.
>if an enemy aggros on them too close they will cancel their cast
Except 1) "too close" is the range that triggers them to use it in the first place. So they would 100% of the time instantly cancel it if that was how their AI worked. But 2) they're not cancelling it, they're mistiming it. They do cancel sometimes like when an enemy gets too far away or dies so they clearly know how and don't just let it rock as their way of cancelling. And I'm pretty certain they're not trying to stagger, either. I've seen them hold an arc longer than the charge time of a lash without cancelling or letting it go early despite being attacked in melee the entire time. It is, without a doubt, them not knowing when to release it. Which, considering how good they are at timing everything else, is almost certainly unintentional. Someone just fricked up with the AI for those moves.
My guess would be they try and let it go before enemies leave the range, or they sense an enemy being "in range" who just wandered in range for a milisecond then left. So they let it go too early to avoid wasting it, or they think they're going to hit something and they don't.
It was probably someone trying to make them less wasteful and failling. Shame because it would actually be good if magic pawns would cast low level spells instead of always fully charging them or canceling them but for melee moves it's a huge detriment.
I'm almost certain it's not to avoid "wasting" it. Yellows don't do that with their versions. And the uncharged attack is very clearly treated as a "punishment" for mistiming and not as an attack you would ever intentionally release.
No, I think it's much simpler than that. They just aren't told to hold it long enough. Whatever instructions there are on the bow attacks telling them not to release until it's actually charged is absent for the lash skills.
my ranger just got hired for the first time at level 50
I had a warrior amazoness pawn and I put the game down for a couple months, came back, and then she had a bunch of hires and 800k riftbux. She was also actually useful.
Is that a type of a strider?
Yes, but instead of 2 small swords it's one big sword
I never get hires with pawns that aren't mage or sorcerer, probably because nobody wants to play them but everybody needs them.
>nobody wants to play them
Nobody plays mage, but a bunch of people play sorcerer. Logically speaking of course there's going to be far more not playing sorcerer because there are a bunch of vocations that just aren't sorcerer. But sorcs and mages are important for healing and exploiting elemental weaknesses
>run red arisen and red main pawn
>hiring two blues as the final slots just works most of the time
Late reply but I'm 60 and hired one for the first time and so far it's pretty meh that I'll prolly drop it again and pick something else. Might just be not using the good skills but I don't know shit about warriors yet so who knows
Only the female ones
my fighter gets hired a lot but I made her optimal to fight anything by herself. Id have 5 stars too if it werent for these goddamn mexicans leaving default rating
speaking of
I've only ever gotten comments on my Ranger Pawn
I do like half the time on my fighter but its usually just default ratings setting my pawn at perma 4 stars, my pawn kills pretty good though
just Dragon's Maw? My Fighter has Blitz Strike, Downcrush and Dragon's Maw. He seems to use them all
nah mine got blitz, dragon maw, and full moon slash cant remember shield shills
Shield skills are a waste on Pawns
I made them fight solo like an autist for hours so they seem to use the shield skills prope,r at first they never did it on a proper timing, but now they are pretty flawless when they execute them
Oh, hey, that might be me
my Warrior recently came back from two hires, one with no RC and 3star ratings so I'm guessing they got brined, the other was some 10k RC and 4star ratings.
Yes because I just like hiring reds.
i only run 4 warrior squads
I'm in the process of building a level 200 Fighter. Part of that is keeping my pawn as a Warrior until level 100. Right now she's about level 60 and she get hired quite a bit. I just make sure she's Scather/Challenger before I close the game.
>pawn comes back
>three stars, no comment, large fish as gift
FRICK you.
Are fish insulting? I likd to give out giant fish
I'm just bitter I got a bad rating and no feedback, the fish itself is fine.
Is your pawn female? Maybe they are saying her pussy stank.
that might've been me
Any console plebs around?
I'm curious if you could make multiple profiles on the same console and hire pawns from your other profiles without actually registering separate accounts and friending yourself.
Basically I want to adventure with 3 bawds that each cater to specific fetishes.
How much stronger is an optimally leveled guy compared to someone that leveled a bunch of classes and messed around?
We talking twice the damage output? Gated content?
It's minimal/non existent. There's a reason people tell you to play whatever you want, gear is what makes all the difference.
Cool, how about hp/stamina? Would I end up with like half as much if I do it wrong?
Also, do pawns automatically align their level with yours? I kind of want to try soloing as much content as possible but I'm worried my pawn will be too underleveled by the time I hit a wall.
Unless you do something full moron like level as blue for 200 levels then try to play WAR then your HP won't matter much.
The only way to really get fricked on stamina is to just play sorc/warrior for the first 100 levels exclusively. Just spend 5-10 levels as a strider or ranger. You should level up other vocations for augments anyway.
pawns get bonus exp if they're under your level. It's pretty high too, my pawn was 2 levels under me and enemies that normally gave about 200 where giving roughly 2000 to the pawn.
My arisen needs Sinew A LOT. Time to level up another vocation.
>decide to level up other vocations for me and pawn to get augments
>still takes an eternity with the church exploit
>church exploit
what?
Also, just get the ring from bbi who give more vocation exp
two rings and you level up fast as frick
You could get those early on, with some bug or something, right?
You can either run to get the abyssal key, then the door key and get the ring, restart hardmode, do it again (and again for any other door you want) or you can use barrel clip glitch that pushes you trough the door.
right
or you just rush to the Warrior Respit, get the moonbeam and go to the door
Defeat the dragon, go back to Gran Soren and meet the duke, then you just stop progressing the story, then agro the soldiers to the church where you climb the wall and have your pawns kill them while you AFK. Even easier if you equip the ring that gives you more augment points.
What will it be today?
Post prawns
I woke up.
Time to shill my pawn.

>how did you get the robe
Clipped trough the door. Alternatively you can speed run to moonbeam key and get it.
>fulmination
>voidspell
thats where ye fricked up, you should know by now that the AI doesn't know how to use fulmination and debilitations are too rare for voidspell to be worth takin up an entire slot.
Voidspell is kinda good at bbi
I keep it just to be safe from petrification though.
What should I pick instead of fulmination?
high levin or high maelstrom
I see you have levin, I play as sorcerer with a sorcerer pawn every playthrough and my pawns loadout is high maelstrom, high gicel, high bolide, holy affinity, high miasma, high levin and I swap holy affinity for high exequy
Damn guys who do I even trust. Is that better? Swap malestrom for meteorytes?
the first 3 replies are all me lol but I've got 400 hrs in DD as a sorcerer so I'm just tellin you what works for me with just myself and my pawn as sorcerer with Rook as a third.
>.exe on a pawn
oh shit homie
What, debilitations are super common in BBI. Even fricking little leapworms hit you with them
I'd suggest cutting down on the number of spells, keep 4 including Voidspell. Just use the lv1 versions of the big spells, but I don't think you can since you leveled them. Pawns have trouble using anything with multiple stage cast bars
So, Levin, Gicel, Holy Pact (ring) and Voidspell?
I'd go with Voidspell, Bolide, Seism, and Maelstrom. If you're bringing a Sorcerer you want it for the big spells
I hear people hate maelstrom bc they cant see shit in it
if you dont wanna use one of the most powerful spells on the pawn due to melee players complaining you're better off throwing high lassitude on there than high fulmination which the AI almost always uses 30m away from an enemy.
>that one 10 second in an hour of gameplay where the sorc pawn uses fulmination properly
Pawns are really like moronic kid.
Also, for the guy saying the don't learn from you, riddle me this:
Why does some of them learn to spam jump to avoid shockwaves from dragon wings and expecially banshee's scream? At first my pawn didn't do it, but when she saw a pawn do it, she and the other copied it at the next banshee.
I can explain any other behavior as being in the stadard stuff they learn from enemies, but jumping to avoid ground shockwaves? That's uncanny.
Yeah I've been looking for Sorcerers who only have High Bolide recently, Seism seems unreliable and I don't trust pawns not to cast Maelstrom on every little thing after I had to deal with one casting it on an Ogre in the Quarry
Meanwhile Bolide makes for awesome synchro casting and twenty meteors is way better than ten, seriously Bolide is probably my favorite spell in any video game right now
I recently hired a Sorc without Fulmination too cause I don't have any climbing-heavy characters but that may have been a mistake idk
Keeping a couple small spells on them I think is really nice too so they never get stuck trying and failing to cast big ones
>Six-letter captcha
When did this hell start
I use bolide exclusively on golem, its too unreliable for anything else other than when you're surrounded and malestrom is better for that. Maelstrom is just the best spell hands down, you can get through the entire game with just maelstrom and do so easily with the exception of golem battles.
>he hasn't tried quad multicasting grand bolide
you haven't really playng ddda if you didn't make a shower of 60 meteors on a bunch of worthless goblins.
every playthrough I stick with my main pawn and Rook. Literally never done a playthrough without Rook as my third, I hate all of you gays with e-girl pawns, I'll never use them and 4 pawns is too much of an XP drain anyway.
Llirianne is no e-girl, anon
ik lmao I just meant in general. Anyway never seen high exequy on a pawn so idk if I can recommend it. Voidspell just isn't worth the slot imo because of all the curatives/resistance items and a big fyi for everyone: sorcerer pawns almost never cast high maelstrom unless you're casting yourself. If you're not a sorcerer I guess the pawn could cast it at any time but it seems like my pawn never uses high maelstrom without me starting the cast, it always just defaults to high levin/miasma
I used a pawn that used Maelstrom (re: my ogre in the quarry complaint) but now that you mention it it was probably just regular Maelstrom
He seems pretty set on Voidspell and if he's worried about Petrifaction it's fine for that and the stupid leapworms
Don't care + didn't ask + L + meteor + meteor + meteor + meteor + meteor +
Nah I'm aware a lot of them can be misses but I love raining down celestial nukes, plus how it works is that it's two meteors per "target," and that gets loose for some enemies like Chimeras
Someone told me to try it on a Chimera a while back and I was sure I had but I don't thinkI had synchro High Bolide cause holy shit I'm pretty sure it was a Gorechimera, and then it very quickly was not a Gotechimera anymore
Maybe I'll throw it on for myself then, I kind of have a flexible/dead spot right now that I'm currently using Exequy in
Miasma has been my go-to consistent single-target damage spell but I should try out Maelstrom at least a bit
Still not gonna trust it on pawns though
Christ I think I just came a little just from reading that
I really wish there were hordes of enemies big enough to warrant shit like that (maybe not shit THAT crazy), it's always a little disheartening when I pull out the dual-Bolide and the encounter is over four meteors in
Honestly I think your list looks great, though I can't say anything on how effective they'll use Exequy, if it were me I'd probably want Comestion over it to round out elemental coverage a bit but again don't take my word for it
I just think it's nice to see a Sorc with only one of the big three spells (Bolide, Maelstrom, Seism)
Really good look by the way
>I really wish there were hordes of enemies big enough to warrant shit like that (maybe not shit THAT crazy), it's always a little disheartening when I pull out the dual-Bolide and the encounter is over four meteors in
Imagine if they implement some kind of musou mode in DD2
DMC5 had LDK mode and both it and DD2 are on RE Engine.
Thanks anon, I try to make her fashionable
High Bolide and Grand Bolide are shit, you're not casting longer for more damage but more meteors and half of those fall outside the immediate area of action/map.
exactly
with caged fury and high maelstrom I killed the drake at level 40 in 3 castings. I also kill chimeras in literally 5 secs at level 80.
My current pawn, we haven't gone through BBI yet.
Caged Fury is so fricking cool, I'm using it right now I love the blue aura you get.
I like to imagine my arisen is screaming POWER OVERWHELMING when it's applied
You are casting for more damage because
>you get more meteors per target
>an increase in max meteors
>every target gets min 1 meteor so you can get 15 meteors hitting 15 different targets
>massive aoe, does less damage the further from the center you are
>increase in accuracy vs moving targets
>debilitations are super common in BBI. Even fricking little leapworms hit you with them
irrelevant with BBI armor and the nearly unlimited supply of curatives. Also just learn to dodge lmao
Fulmination on a sorc pawn is amazing if you're a MK. It triggers the magic cannons and turns them into gattling guns
fulmination is literally what I hire pawns on, especially for BBI.
I finally ground out warrior and fighter on her so her augments aren't a fat load of shit any more, I kept suasion though
Played with her a bit, good prawn.
Hire him
He's lvl 20 but apparently almost no one can find him

It's actually better
You can easily get to the otherwise hard to get to weak spots
You have no idea how bad I am at aiming. I literally cant hit a harpy while it flies around.
you can switch to a mouse for using your bow pretty seamlessly
Oh yeah, they have weird hit boxes plus you shoot to the right of your aim.
I usually just spin while it sings above me and try to shoot in front of her.
Fricking snow harpies even dodge my sorceres autoaim fireballs.
Gotta use Cloudburst.
Should have used mouse and keyboard.
I literally just got the hero achievement and the same thing happened. You just have to wait for his trial to end, and make sure he is found innocent. You can turn in the quest after that. If given the option to hear the dukes directive don't start that yet.
>got the hero achievement

Thoughts on Grand Anodyne for a pawn?
terrible idea unless you enjoy waiting an hour for your heals
Grand Anodyne takes way too long to cast for basically no gain over high anodyne.
Mage pawn casts grand anodyne

How do you send pawns back with multiple gifts?
If you equip her with gear you gift the gear.
Just send them away and rehire and send them away again.
Kek.
On that note, I want to ask as a new player, does your main pawn ever get featured in those fully animated cutscenes? I quite enjoy watching my Arisen's facial expressions in those.
yes
All of your pawns show up in cutscenes when relevant.
made for ogres
I am now debating if I should embrace the coom or not
It's the coom that embraces you in bursts, at certain intervals of time. And you make the worst decisions during those times.
What shield skill should I use on top of sheltered fusillade?
>sleep at an inn
>Your pawn has returned!!!

Eh?
Probably someone hired them then changed their mind while still in the rift and didn't want to be too much of a dick about it.
This. Happened a lot to me
People take pawns and then notice they have some shit they don't want or a better prawn just popped up.
>mogs your enemies
>Make a ranger pawn with rusted longbow and only ten fold flurry
>Friend did the same
>Hire his pawn
>Everything we meet is instantly put into torpor while I zoom around as an assassin
So how much does your pawn take after you? Should I not make a mage pawn if I'm playing a melee dude because they'll try to run up and bonk people instead of shooting spells off?
All pawns regardless of vocation inclination and/or weapon will try to climb enemies. That's because of their code.
But if your pawn sees you climb 24/7 then they are more likely to climb themselves as a result.
>see friend pawns in rift
>haven't touched the game in months
>hire them on and run through endgame shit, giving them whatever gear I find and racking up RC
If ever they touch it again, they're in for a treat.

This is your own aughtism talking. You want the Chad Augments you play the Chad vocations
Take her
i wish i could cap my level at 100
There's a mod that lets you cap levels at 50 100 and 150
yeah i saw that, apparently it makes the xp required past 100 insane
might do that when i'm finished with my current character but i already hit 140
more for just general pawn hiring from people earlier in the game, also i liked doing more stuff outside in hard gransys rather than bbi but i'm already shredding bbi at 130 solo
Level up to 100 then set your level to 200 with the dinput mod without touching your stats.
Okay I used to play the game a lot 10 years ago and had 200-300 hours (this was before the Dark Arisen).
I tried to play it again and I haven't even touched it during these years but I just can't handle it. It feels so boring and loses all of it's little momentum in the Gran Soren. Sad!
time to shill my pawn again I guess. She's actually climbing on big guysfor you now to knock off cyclops helms and such so she's getting better by the day!
the goblina threat isn't here anon

I would've rented her 🙁
Post your prawn and I might catch them later.
Are you on the Sex Box?
Odds I hire her
Evens her
Uoooh cute and funny
Maybe consider telling her to cut back on the helium, though.
kek yeah an anon yesterday told me it's a known bug with the voices so i'm screwed till I unlock NG+ to get the editor, she wasn't using the voice before but after using the editor for myself she ended up with the voice
You don't need ng+ to get the editor, just buy it from the old guy in encampment
I did, its a one time thing in first playthrough, I used it on myselfto turn myself into a e-girl after playing a shota
>its a one time thing in first playthrough
No it's fricking not, I'm on my first game (but post Greg) and I edited my pawn like 3 times now.
>post Greg
This is why. The pre-dragon item he sells is one time use. Post-dragon he sells a reusable version.
The barber changes voices
well frick, didn't know that, thanks guys, currently doing deny salvation so will fix it after that
Fixed the voice, she's 61 now btw, thanks anon to the anons telling me about the hairdresser fixing voices
I see, thought it was NG+ but that'(s ok as well, but the anons above you already helped me out with the hairdresser
iirc, the permanent editor unlock is actually after Grigori, not NG+
Can you play a shota with cute pear shaped thighs and A cups?
You can get a dumptruck ass but no a cups my fellow TOA appreciator.
You can change voice at the gran soren barbershop.
>chipmunk voice

Haven't had the time to upgrade her since last posting (work sucks). She likes setting wolfs on fire, does it somewhat consistently for me
>m.jpg
my man please do yourself a favor and use one of the kurobas if you have to phone post
Can't find her, cos. You'd be wise to rest at the inn
Huh. She's been hired before so i doubt that she's banned but I do use an extended carry weight + less sprint stamina usage mod. I wonder if that finally gave her the boot after initially missing it?
It's just that pawn search is a work of some foul magic. Especially on lower levels where there are tons of pawns. If you rested at the inn recently it will most likely show your pawn without rerolling search a 100 times.
If you're talking about the one that comes packed together with the nude mod, then no, that doesn't ban your pawn.
t. uses the same mod with e-girl arisen and e-girl pawns and has had plenty of hires
God I wish NG+ scaled up the enemies in Gransys to at least BBI level.
Which HP potions are the most cost effective?
Been hunting wyverns and none of my shit is getting dragonforged. Fricking hell.
Hunt cursed dragons instead, easy and reliable.
I do zero damage to them at the moment.
Wait for Ur-Dragon grace, do him offline or speed run (not the speed run mode) the game to get Grigori again. Even with three star gear your chance of dragonforging them is only 18% with the other dragons.
>Try to make shortstack

>dagger vocations can use instant resest after getting hit by an eliminator but before the boot comes down to grab
This skill is amazing.
Is it worth using one of the three dagger skills?
Oh yeah, it's a god send for climber since it lets you skip a lot of long animations.
Easily the best skill in the game.
Yep, it's kinda busted. Other classes get frickhuge nuke attacks like Dragon's Maw, Arc of moronation and literally all the high-end Sorc spells. Meanwhile dagger classes are focused entirely on the concept of being impossible to lock down and stun to death. DD has what may be the best class diversity of any ARPG, they're like playing different games.
>Yep, it's kinda busted. Other classes get frickhuge nuke attacks
Skull Splitter.
Oh. Right.
Yeah Ranger is kinda broken as a class. That move is blatantly unbalanced.
*strider, my bad
Well Ranger has Reaper’s Arrow
Rangers are a little busted too. Tenfold is honestly ridiculous at times. Yellow vocations can do absolutely insane damage with the best of them.
So how do I get thousands of exploding arrows fast and for cheap?
In post game the lady in Cassardis sells an unlimited amount of them. I kill the offline Ur-Dragon through the portal on the beach in Cassardis, sells all the wakestone and the weapon and then buy blast arrows from said lady
Any source of them before beating Гpигopий?
I dont remember
The shop next to the blacksmith sells them unlimited, after you visit the duke irc.
Also sidenote, but you guys think pvp will be in the sequel? Like imagine the Seneschal fight with your pawn at your side, versus another player. Sounds kinda fun if people dont cheese, which they without a doubt will
Oh, it's after the Duke, nice.
I wish there would be invasion type pvp but you possess an enemy like an eliminator.
Or you can actually become a dragon (as in you get to actually upgrade your dragon form, select moves, design how the battle goes) and get rewards if your dragon form kills pawns and players.
That would be really cool and for some reason it reminded me of the boss fight in Castlevania Curse of Darkness against Isaac, where you and Isaac are duking it out while your familiars are also duking it out. It gave me two thoughts. First that just some boss fights vs other arisens in general would be really cool, and secondly, I want pawns that can fly like harpies.
>ogre hangs just outside the abbey at night
poor nuns
They have Mason to fight other monsters
About darn time I ask in the thread. So I’m currently on the part where I am doing the 4 quests about something like wyrmhunt permit thing and finished all 4 in 1 go. Will something happen after this?
Nothing special. You could progress even with only 2 quests done iirc
I wanna ask this as well. When is a good time to use portcrystals and the Golden Idol?
You can pick a portcrystal back up after you place it. It's like a garden gnome you can teleport to.
>use portcrystals
You mean where? They last forever, don't get used up. I plop them in far away locations that you normally go back to like Bluemoon Tower, The Wall, Shadowfort etc.
Portcrystal are made to be set at escort quests's points, and doing them in 1 second.
Make a copy of the golden idol, give the real one to Madeleine(you'll get Caxton's gear later on anyway, and you'll get better weapon fast, so there's no need) keep the forgery in your pocket for the dicount.
Don't give the forgery, you'll get no reward.
>Will something happen after this?
Big party in your honor.
You get given a cool hat
Cute and funny level 103 sorceror for all your brine bait needs.
>Cute and funny
yawn
Gayyyyyyyyy
Shit taste
You can use portcrystals whenever. You can pick them up and place them back down again somewhere else whenever you want. Golden Idol is for a quest, you can pick whoever you want and then just pick the other one in NG+
Found her. Survival not guaranteed. Don't worry though, I've only had 2 pawns die to petrification and only 3 to brine, and one of them was actually an accident.
Much appreciated anon.
have a nice day.
>have a nice day.
Got her.
Thanks, anon
Should I be changing my vocation and my pawns vocation at certain level milestones
is stat optimization important? I changed to Warrior as soon as I could and I am having fun with it
>is stat optimization important?
Not really, skills, equipment and augments are more important.
YOUR CHARACTER IS NOT CUTE OR SEXY THEY LOOK FRICKING TERRIBLE AND I MEAN
EVERY
SINGLE
ONE
I like her just the way she is
Would appreciate some hires for Farnese, slapped some of my dragonforged gear on her so hopefully she isn't as squishy. Thanks to anons that hired her in the past, the loot I've been gifted has been a major help. Taken off the ice buff, now she only has the holy one.
Moniker's Freja, level's 56, platform is Steam.
Still 56? Can't seem to find her.
Sorry about that, went ahead and started the ending. Up at level 58 now and just rested. Would've responded sooner but had to clear out the tutorial stuff on NG+.
No worries, found her.
Apparently I've got 850 stagger/knockdown power but it doesn't do jack shit. Even the goblin and pawn mages can poise through my pommel bash to finish casting.
I have 600 and I can stagger everything. Impact on but no barbed nails. Hard mode.
At 600 even the grimgoblins of the base game still die before they get knocked down. Takes like 3 hits but they die standing up.
What should i do in the trial quest, do i help Fournival or not?
Yeah help him. He’s a c**t but he has a god tier shop.
He's not even that much of a c**t.
he's just extremely greedy.
At least he sends gear to the troops and evict people to save them from falling in a big hole.
he got some dude put in jail and made his kid homeless for just overhearing how corrupt he is lol
Wasn't that one of the corrupt guys in the castle?
The one who tells you he'd be in trouble or something if Fournival gets arrested.
Can pawns get pregnant
These don't get enough credit.
>Friendly fired by a mage that wasn't even possessed right before killing daimon 2.0
PLEASE EXPLAIN
>that wasn't even possessed right before killing daimon 2.0
Abilities dont friendly fire without possession
What's a good way to make some Rift Crystals? I want to change the look of my pawn and that item from the encampment costs so much.
Post the pawn here, that's partly why so many anons do it.
Post your pawn and I'll take her for a ride in BBI, that'll give you some Riftbux
Ask anons here to hire your pawn. Alternatively you could farm cursed dragon's at BBI (i forgot the name but using the bait item in the first room where you meet barock works)
downstairs pawn guild notice board, first 6 dlc quests are easy to do and will get you 6k rc
Map out some really early bbi chests. You can get at least 5000 RC if you get them all up until Midnight Helix. There is even a guaranteed liftstone to get you back.
Are there any indicators of size of community on anything other than PC? I put a lot of hours into the 360 version but it appears to be dead and there's just a bunch of obviously hacked pawns in the pool now that you can't afford to hire because of the hacks
360 servers are literally dead.
That doesn't surprise me, has been a while since I touched it. PC version it is
There's no argument to be made. Controllers have better character control. For anyone asking, free movement is important in this game because it was designed around it, but precision shooting isn't really a thing. Harpies are the only enemies that require anything even resembling real aim. If you don't reply with a webm, your post will be ignored.
>he can run around a pole, guys!!!
you do realise that you have almost as much control with m+kb, and you really don't need the little more movement you get from a stick.
>precision shooting isn't really a thing
It's like you've never played the game
>ur-dragon
>harpy/siren/strigois/gargoyles
>cyclops
>chimera
>griffyn
>wieneratrice
>hydra
At the very least all of these require some ammount of precision because of small critical hit boxes or high movement speed.
THe real answer, homosexual, is that neither are better than the other, just use what you fricking want and don't be elitist about your fricking control device.
>precision shooting isn't really a thing.
Try playing the game, shitter.
>free movement is important in this game
Not really.
AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ITS NOT A PERFECT CIRCLE IM LOSING MY MIND
>Loaded up my pawns with 500k worth of conq pripyats, harspud sauce and large mushrooms and just fricking went to town on daimon 2.0
My pawns were absolutely useless and it was a close thing but I fricking did it. He's dead. Now I can move on with my life
Man why is all the BBI gear so fricking ugly if this is what life is gonna be they better add transmog to DD2.
It's not all ugly. Some of it is fricking great. It's just that a lot of the best tier 3 stuff is ugly.
Are there any tabards?
The real endgame of Dark Arisen is fashion and filling out your pawn's bestiary and travel knowledge. Dress up your Arisen and pawns with gold rarified armor - armor that isn't that ugly ass Hellfire, Oblivion, etc. garbage - that looks good on them and gives them a distinct look, then get yourself some rings to make up for missing important debilitation resistances like sleep and possession (if necessary) and you're golden.
But yes, DD2 should have transmog.
What if the armor (or weapon for that matter) I want to give them is from like, halfway through the main quest? Is it possible to stack the deck so far in your favor that they can get by? I really like the ogre skull hammer for my 6'4" Skullcrusher Thunderthighs
There's some cool looking BBI gear like the big ol' wizard hat and the trophy set is pretty cool for female characters. I'm fricking tired of trying to purify a set of mercenary slogs and getting my 15th mistletoe circlet or nomads cloak. The RNG in BBI is garbage.
Bbi rng is based on your and your pawns current class.
If u want a wizard had (disappointing ugly sideflaps that hide hair) you just both change to sorc and roll.
I'm aware that changing classes helps the RNG in your favor but it still has a habit of giving you multiple of the same few items you already have over letting you get something new for once. I'm assuming it's hardcoded to artificially inflate playtime.
You just got desire sensor'd.
Weapons are the one thing that's hard to make a compromise for. You'll need the firepower of Lv.2 and 3 BBI weapons to really hurt BBI monsters, especially the stronger ones -- anything lesser might not be able to even make a dent on them, with a few notable exceptions such as the Iraklis.
>Weapons are the one thing that's hard to make a compromise for
Yeah I thought it'd be like that, what a shame.
I want lamias for DD2.
A secondary, low leveled pawn from a secondary account all pimped out with high level gear and knowledge from your primary account might help you fulfill that fantasy of yours, even if it's mostly other players who'll get to really experience it.
Time for a wiki dive. Monsters need to killed in a specific way, inflicted with a specific debilitation, have a specific attack blocked with a shield, etc. sometimes multiple times for certain knowledge stars to be unlocked.
Gransys's 3rd star is infamous in its elusivess as it unlocks at different times and places for everyone (if it's ever unlocked at all). There are, like, a billion flags to be triggered all around the world, and most people don't bother searching every river and cave and nook and cranny both at night and day and so on. It's hard work.
Let's go full monstergirl encyclopedia
Harpies could have been so kino if hardware limitations didn't require them to be potatoes.
>"succubi, arisen!"
>oh frick yes, here we go coomer bros
>it's just a reskinned harpy
Hope DD2 lets you tame and romance monster girls.
>a few notable exceptions
Caged Fury?
Dragonforged Rusted Weapons are pretty good, Torpor is a really strong status effect
it's just the red stuff that looks like shit.
>An 'Elven haven" is referred to beyond the witchwood. See "Behind the scenes of Dragon's Dogma"
If elves are in II, do you want them to be Tolkien elves, or folklore elves, like in Berserk?
considering the ear options in DD1, it'll probably be tolkien elves. However, I wouldn't mind a spin on them. Anything to switch things up. At the moment tolkien elves would feel kind of out of place
I want loose female goblin pawns
Nazi elves.
>reaching the end of badge of voxs
>At 97 and 98
>Try 98 first since it's inside bluemoon
>Confused as frick where it is
>check guide
>Use harpy or leviate
>Assasin so snow harpy it is
>Pawns oneshot them
H....how fast do you learn levitate, i really don't want to level as a mage
I think its really fast. Might even be there from the start.
Go without pawns, dummy.
Chaos armor looks cool
is it worth grinding money for it?
a few hours of spring water selling would do it
>Loading up your pawns with 50 bottles and siccing them on the spring
Apothecaries HATE him
Discover this one weird trick for achieving eternal youth
I found that even if they have more empty bottles
Pawns can only collect 10 spring waters before they stop
Yeah the shoe is on the other foot- now I am the mule when I'm going sippy farming.
Is there a place you can hang onto the magic armor where you don't cop a hit as soon as he swings his sword?
Back of the knee maybe? All his wide attacks seem to come from chest height.
>Fighter, sorc, mage, MK all 9/9
Should I do warrior next or one of the gay archers? I wanna dragonforge my warrior pawn's gear so I guess maybe I'll do warrior and make her fighter for a while to pick up some of the fighter augments.
Ranger 8 has resistance to great wings (dragon flaps)
>Get 2m bucks from killing daimon 2.0
holy shit thats a lot of peripatetics.
How do I fill the bestiary and how do I get the 3rd Gransys star?
I must have killed thousands of goblins by now with all elements and I still have 2 stars
You need to hold a goblin and let pawn kill it I think
Eminence is obviously great for warriors, but do warrior pawns use jump attacks often enough to justify it taking up a whole ass augment slot? Between Eminence and Ferocity, I'm leaning towards Ferocity, which is weaker, but active 100% of the time. I could use both, but for that I'd have to get rid of Sinew, and that's something I absolutely don't want to do.
If you give them Eminence that will encourage them to jump attack.
Gonna play Warrior for the first time, Anything I should know? Tips?
jump attack
I'd really like to know too I just switched from fighter dunking on BBI2 to warrior and the T3 hammer I just got, upgraded to level 3 is doing literally zero fricking damage against this dragon I'm trying to farm for dragonforging.
use escape/exodus slash
>the T3 hammer I just got, upgraded to level 3 is doing literally zero fricking damage against this dragon I'm trying to farm for dragonforging.
literally impossible
>literally impossible
I've got 600 strength with it, 400 without. What is going on?
the devil's nail is the highest damage weapon in the game. even if your stats were completely fricked and the weapon unupgraded you'd still do damage.
I uh.. Accidentally had my Ferric Talon equipped instead.. Thanks anon..
lmao
>Deals a full hp bar of damage with every mounted hit to the heart with 4 conqs
What the frick this is obscene I love warrior now
you don't even need the periapts anymore bro. just smash away.
Cand you have 4 conqs and 4 demons active at the same time?
kek everyone laugh at this moron
These are the people who complain about how damage calculation work.
Knock enemies on their asses then charge your big shit on them.
Exodus slash is your dodge.
Strenght in numbers arisen!
Escape/Exodus Slash is a must have and arguably so is Spark/Corona Slash (the Ecliptic upgrade is fantastic, that one absolutely is a must have)
Your jump attacks are the best among all classes, so abuse the frick out of them. Striders can learn an augment called Eminence which gives you a 30% attack boost while in mid-air, and it works wonderfully for your class
Will dd2 be a prequel with human Grigori as an npc?
Have some joke character with some deepest lore hidden item descriptions implying his name is greg.
My mum works at Bandaid Namcorporation and she says it will inception themed, you will incept inside various dragon minds, each being a big dungeon like BBI. Final chapter you find out the real world was inside Greg's mind.
>Using warrior only to jump attack
>Using Sorcerer only to spam HFB
You are undeserving of the title of arisen
Guess release date
2023 pushed to 2024 q4
I can already see the delay announcement in my head
its been 10 years dude. I can wait one or two more for it to be as good as he can get it.
Capcom rarely delays games. They just wont announce the release date until they are sure. It will probably be early into 2024 like feb or march
Blunt damage is kind of shit in this game, isn't it?
>deals considerably more damage to skeletons (lol)
>deals considerably less to all saurians, hydras, and maneaters (ouch)
At least blunt weapons tend to be slightly stronger and stagger foes more easily than their slashing counterparts, I guess. But then again, they're usually much heavier. Hmm...
Hey man some skeleton knights later are tough and you're glad to have some blunt type damage.
Also those earth saurians gargoyles and golems
>Shoot a bunch of explosive bolts on Death
>Can't hit them
I hate it.
Is there a daimon 3.0?
Please no more.
no you can just do daimon v2 over and over.
They aren't gonna shy away from coom armors in the sequel, are they? I want my barbarian heroes.
>coom
Hard to say. DMC5 seemed coom friendly and that was Itsunos last game but it did get a bit of backlash from sjw sorts and sony censored some of it. So its hard to say. If they want DD2 to be super mainstream and appeal to everyone they will probably have to keep it very low key in the sexualisation
Who cares, PCtards will mod in dozens of cringe "armours"
>can't see them online
>wants cringe coomshit
>doesn't get the mods
You problem
>devs want coom
>sjw puritans reee
>devs remove coom
You are the problem
I'm not reeing at the devs, just brining your shitfu
You're both moronic for using the word coom
Hire her please. She's still pretty young, but eager to learn.
>lvl 8
Too old
She's the shota Arisen's big sister, sworn to protect him, since he is the chosen one.
>Those proportions
Anooonnnn you can't just go through the sliders and set everything to smallest.
She's like 10 cm larger or something
Doesn't look big to me
Looks like the Bestowal of Spirit started early
Is she still level 8? Did you make sure to sleep at an Inn to upload her to the server? And you're on Steam, right?
Yes to all, this is my 3rd-something character combo, I created them a few months ago. Might level a bit later but I'm still pretty goddamn busy with Elden Ring.
post cute duos
>Fight Ur Dragon, feel like I do pretty good; three sorcs casting Bolide and me Hundred Kissing its neck basically keeps it stunlocked
>It's at roughly 2.1 health bars when it dips
>Go back and regroup and restock
>Enter room again
>It's now at 2.5
Does this encounter even work? Why is it regenerating health? Does my damage even count? I am confusion
Any answers?
I've heard here a few times that sometimes game thinks someone's cheating and rolls back the damage
Something about this list is off. Like you didn't put much thought into it or something
Will this look hyper realistic like DMC5? Or will it be more like Monster Hunter?
interms of budget , i really doubt we would get a hyper realistic dd
I hope it looks the same as DDDA
Is this fashion any good? One of you gifted the appolo mask and I try to make it work
I can dig it
>Start up PS4 version after having stopped for a year and a half
>Completely forgot what I was doing
must have been doing poorly, at BBI 2.0 and all I got is a 3star Cadabolg and my Pawn has a 1star Twinpaler
Apparently the drop rate for BBI level 1 armor freefalls post-daimon. I'm fricked.
It's shit anyway
So when I fall into the void in Gran Soren after the final battle how long till I can get back out? I want to shop and stuff.
You can get back out right away. Just fall to the bottom, which will put you back to the top, then grab the first ledge. Or just use a ferrystone.
You can also fall onto the first level of the everfall and go back up via the metal gate.
That's what I said. Fall to the bottom then grab the first ledge.
No it's not
That's literally how you get out of the Everfall, what are you smoking
Dumb sexposter
Finally handed over the wakestones and doing the ending. I'm actually getting sentimental exploring Cassardis and Gran Soren one last time as a mere spectre.
pretty fricking lame you can get the scroll of facility from bbi when there are 0 fricking ballistaes there
wasted augment slot anyway considering there's like three areas in the whole game that has them
yeah but it might have actually made sense to use if there were some in the forgotten city or the arenas on bbi if you were a red vocation
Putting pawnfu out here, pls hire
Scather/utilitarian
We need the level, anon
Whoops. 104.
>grand brontide
Wasted slot. Pawns NEVER cast Grand Brontide, their AI just can't handle it for whatever reason. It's a known bug. I'd also argue that Brontide in general isn't a very good spell, so your girl, being a sorcerer, would be much better off with Fulmination instead.
Exequy is shit. Don't give Maelstrom to pawns unless you're banking on potential hirers being ranged attackers as well.
Ffs, the tornado is the only consistent damage thing out of the 3. Meteors just fall everywhere but the monster and stones can't hit anything fo shit.
Should I just go for lightning whip and ice spikes?
>Meteors just fall everywhere but the monster
you can literally see the big ass aoes, there are massive. i have never seen a meteor miss.
You don't want fournival to die anyway, just make sure you bring proofs of his inoccence, you have no need to talk to jasper or his senpai, because if you don't expulse them, they don't have a petition to sign.
Jasper is a bugged npc who might not spawn at time(maybe because of his routine), whenever i do Land of opportunity and want to evict them instead of paying fournival, i sleep or quit and re-enter gransys to make him spawn.
Also, finish Land of opportunity asap, that's allow you to babysit Symone and get the gold idol if you do it bproperly(bring a flask of water)
What pawn vocation goes well with warrior?
When I play warrior I like to make my main pawn a ranger and then hire a blue pawn or two to round us out. Someone being able to distract ranged enemies is nice
I heard fighter pawns are god-tier at perfect blocking. does this mean I don't need to give mine the +perfect block augment?
Seconding this question actually, I have it equipped on my pawn anyway to encourage her to block more right now anyway, plus I've recently given her the shield that inflicts lowered offense
They really don't need it, but I don't know if it encourages more blocking
It doesn't encourage blocking, only their personalities/training does.
It the augments they have encourages their behavior, there is no such a thing as training. Without ever having played Fighter myself, my Fighter can throw out perfect blocks all the time.
>there is no such a thing as training
Your pawn learns from others as well, and their capacity to block comes from what they know about their enemies, not how you trained them or what augment you have on them.
A mage with scather will try to climb a monster, no matter what spells or augment you've given them.
Monster Knowledge doesn't affect how often a Pawn will perfect block
A Mage climbing is an inclination problem, not an augment problem. You "showing" them how to cast has no bearing on that.
>A Mage climbing is an inclination problem, not an augment problem.
What do you think Scather is, an augment? It's the "i'm gonna fight that cyclop over there) inclination.
Also, from playing the game over 1.5k hour, i've definitively noticed pawns in the begining are shit at blocking, but even against wolves and badints, they'll either lern by themselves or because of you or another pawn tyhat they actuall need to block then counter(specifically perfect block for wolves)
You can state that monster knowledge don't affect how they block, but from what i've seen playing the game, either it does or they learn by themswelves.
They can also learn to jump to avoid banshee's scream, and that's definitively not an augment or monster knowledge thing.
I'm aware Scather is an inclination, and its the one that causes Pawns to climb. Its not training, or show then do, its literally people setting up their Pawn inclinations wrong. The game has been out for years now on PC, and nobody has found anything to support there being any AI that learns, or can be trained.
Please DD2 don't use stamina when running and out of battle.
Remainder that pawn inclinations description are wrong and augments influence in how pawns will act
A decade later and the system is still barely understood
Japanese spaghetti coders... I kneel
Wait a fricking minute, he states that awareness gives defense on a figure based on your level and the attacker, but it's a fricking flat augment.
I won't look at more of the second video, if i've spotted such a mistake early on.
Also, i already know what augment does, even the buggedt one, i got 2khour in ddda.
As for inclinations and stuff, i'm 100% certain they'll try to multicast as soon as possible no matter their personalities, because whenever i've done a sorc party, i've NEVER needed them to be nexus to help, only for them to have the same spells.
Nexus is terrible, i hate nexus, and i brine all nexus pawns.
>Nexus
had a pawn i didn't notice till after summoning with Nexus as a secondary
she ran directly into the middle of an enemy maelstorm to grab another downed pawn and survived to haul her out of it
He says is all based on experience he doesn't check the wiki
If ferocity can give your pawns bad habbit, does that mean that they learn to use their core skills more from ferocity, but don't forget it if you remove it?
Is there any difference between longsword and hammer when it comes to range and speed? I'm thinking about doing a hammer guy run, but only if he doesn't suck ass.
Just damage type
Is stagger/knockdown based on your attack stats? I kind of want to play a bit of warrior but my arisen has been leveling nothing but nerd classes.
It's based on your weapon's stagger and knockdown stats on the stats screen.
high damage has a chance to stagger/knockdown but consistent stagger/knockdown (as in for every single hit) is based primarily upon your equipment stats. At least half the dam you should be doing should be based on equipment anyway so don't worry about it, if you want increased stagger/knockdown get the barbed nails +200 stagger/knockdown with 2 equipped simultaneously.
Does that work for Sorcerer spells?
it works even for the default attack, I've staggered chimeras just by using the neutral magick projectile attack from a dragon forged sanguine stalk and its consistent. Damage over a certain threshold always staggers, its different for different enemies but suffice it to say if you get good equipment you don't really need to worry about your base stats.
The sorcerer strong attack with some barbed nails and impact is pretty great. Just casually hold up your hand and send goblins and bandits flying back on their assess.
Assuming you mean Warrior, I think warhammers swing like, barely noticeably slower, but they pack wayyyyy more stagger power, so go hard
Yes
This is what I want
Holy frick
>Retake the shadow fort
>It is actually packed to the brim with Goblins
>Cleave through them all as a Warrior
>Or have your pawn buy you enough time to lay down a High Seism to dispatch the majority in one i incredibly powerful spell
>cyclops plowing through goblin hordes just to get to you
>your pawn shoots down all goblins that cyclops sends flying with something like Endecad Shot
WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG FOR GRACE PERIOD STAB THIS FRICKING CRUSTY DRAGON ALREADY
Any kind anon would take her in her first adventure?
Currently testing if all network features work properly under Linux+Proton. They used to be completely broken but not seeing any error messages now. Just hired her and released her with an item. Would appreciate if you slept at an inn to see if she received aught.
I have received a wyverns tear. Thanks anon.
Great. This truly is the year of the Linux desktop. Will take her on an adventure.
Hope you have fun, and good keep the hard work with that linux. Windows is getting worse year after year, one day it will be our only hope.
How come all pawns from the rift use literally the same voice? Does nobody bother to change it?
They all sound normal in the rift
The voice only becomes active when you leave the rift
I hate finding out after the fact that someone has the highest pitch option. Absolutely hate it.
Every day I'm glad the brine exists
I have learned how to make sour beast steaks. Now i have a lot of gold. I have killed so many cows. I'm called the butcher, also known as the arisen.
>That one BBI item you can't seem to get no matter how many purifications you do
For me, it's the Mercenary Slogs. I must have like 2,000 hours spent in this game across 4 different platforms and I never even seen these fricking things in person. Everyone says they look like shit but going off the pictures I think I could work with them, IF I FRICKING HAD THEM.
Why don't you simply hack the item. I think you deserve it, anon.
It won't feel as rewarding compared to when the day finally comes and I get them legitimately.
Not when I pick up the cursed items cause my pawn is normally a fighter but I do change them to a yellow vocation before I purify to help my chances.
>Everyone says they look like shit
plebs
Is that b***h based on Gabrielle?
I don't know who that is.
Search sadpanda with keywords like Gabrielle, sparrow and queen oapala.
>queen oapala
I know that name but no I never bothered with those games. Not the content or anything, just never sparked me like other h-games. The mask was just the first ur mask I got and I like making bane jokes to myself.
Never really played them myself either. Great opportunity to wank it to your pawn taking monster wiener though.
pawns are for adventure not lewd. the bikini armor is pure aesthetics. not like I rub myself raw over her.
is your pawn also a yellow vocation when you purify?
>453 / 61 / 112 / 2
Literally the same group of gays making the same thread pretending to be new and asking question
I was gonna start a new game and I'd like to make a pawn with a rusted weapon, is bow ideal? Or sword/fighter?
How many people do still play DD anyway? I’m wondering if I ever share my level 44 archmage pawn it just gets ignored to oblivion
>muh fallen city is hard
The game is easy with the right skills
>muh fallen city is hard
not for magick archer
>mk
You didn't play the game
Black person, i use holy retribution and stone jungle
>stone jungle
I love it even if it's a b***h to cast sometimes.
fallen city v2 is one of the only fun areas in BBI but it has 2-3 qualifiers.
Warrior autist, what is the best weapon to hit hard, kill fast?
Whatever you can get that has the most attack power?? There isn’t exactly a lot of horizontal progression with weapons in this game.
I got bamboozled into buying a giant hammer that has average damage but has a chance of dealing a 500% critical attack in exchange for 50% of my health and stamina.
I wanted to hear from others if it's worth it.
unless you enjoy doing nothing but spamming jump and praying for a crit those weapons are meh. they chunk bosses but they're meh for fun.
Post Arisen + Pawn ideas
I always go stout dwarf Arisen and amazoness pawn.
Anyone know where the Ur Dragon is at
Just hit the Chamber of Lament and I'm wondering if I should give him a go or two
Why does fighter feel like it does no damage? I'm Dragon's Mawing my life away here but I feel like I barely tickle things, but I deal damage fine on warrior or ranger
We can’t answer unless you tell us the enemy and what weapon you’re using.
Comparatively, most enemies seem to take less damage. I've noticed it especially on the drake in Devilfire's and Garm in the BBI. I switch between Caladbolg 1-star and Eden's Warden 3-star depending on the enemy. As a Warrior I use a 2-star Triple Tooth
Split damage is comparatively bad unless you have high magic
cheers to the anon that keeps hiring my pawn (Penthesilea) and gifting me level 3 BBI gear. I'll hire your pawn when I start playing again and reach an appropriate level.
Alright, seism it is for now.
I don't want her to cast meteors on a single fricking goblin like she usually does.
>pawn has a japanese name
>dragon took Aelinore as my beloved
>got israelitebreasts on the beach anyway
What does it mean?
>What does it mean?
That she needs to borrow more money
I finally did it Gankerros, after almost a decade and two platforms, i finally decided to pick up the game and do a full run.
Did you?
Is this shit worth doing? Jumping rooftops around like assassin's creed feels too much like busywork.
not really. you can complete the quests again instantly on your next playthrough just by taking the badges out of your storage, but it's not really worthwhile.
Ah, I somehow thought there was some super secret reward after you do all of them.
I think it was a DLC thing for the vanilla game. Might have also included some DLC items that are separate from the badge quests.
>Is this shit worth doing?
you have to to beat the game
Worth it for free early RC.
Don't you only need like 15 potions to get your pawn inclinations down?
What else do you buy with it?
the ridiculously expensive rings that do nothing
5 potions are enough, the rest is incase you want to change your pawns vocation and give them different inclinations later.
>free
In the time required to get some badges (worth 1k rc) you'd have gotten way more in BBI. + loot and exp.
Not everyone speedruns the game and rushes into BBI anon.
Some gay is trying to convince everyone that you should rush everything to do only BBI forever and says everfall is worthless. Who knows what his deal is, but he's dedicated to making people do nothing but bitterbutt isle.
>bitterbutt isle
in the sense that the gear is easily replaced by bbi stuff it's pretty worthless outside of getting wakestones. But it's still fun to go through and that's really what's important.
>bitterblack is fun to me but doesn't have the exploration of the rest of the game
bitterhell is my cursed home
I like post-dragon exploration since a ton of stuff has changed but the sky is so ugly and dark I can't fricking see anything even with a lantern it's just not pleasant to look at anything anymore.
there's a glitch that lets you keep clear skies post-dragon. look up clear skies glitch.
I know but I can't pull it off so I gave up.
Dinput8.dll hooks has a checkbox you can use to turn that shit right off which I think is a godsend
Fricking kek
About to do some BBI, anyone with pawns in the 60-70 range want some Rift cash post em up
I'm saying if RCs are your main goal then this quest isn't the best way to go about it.
That's too much, the achievement is enough for me. In not Asian.
I'm very proud of you nonetheless.
it's really not that bad if you wait for ng+ so you have 10 different port crystals scattered about
>do the entire thing once
>have to scroll past 100 individual badges every time I try to forge an item or gift something to a pawn
Into the trash they all went. Frick this entire questline.
you know you can grab them from your inventory to instantly complete thre rom another sky on ng+ and get easy rc, right?
I know. I don't care.
I got 11 mil rc just from rents on ps3, and 9 mil on ps4. I never once completed the badge of vows quest.
>long, hardfought battle in Sparyard of Scant Mercy against the two fricking drakes
>head back to the riftstone to heal up my pawns
>decide to swap out the new sorc who's not working too well, and retire the fighter who's been a godsend for the last like 30 levels
>drakes respawned
fffffffffff
ur dragon its at 1.5 health, come help me aaaaaahhh
