After you beat the Main game
You can go and try if you're handle the first part. I think I made alright progress, even though pawns carried me. I was around lvl 40 or so, but exploring bbi is always an option, you can get exp (from quests there) and loot even when avoiding enemies. When Death jumpscares you, just change rooms
But yes like this anon said, it's intended mostly for players who have beaten the main game. DD gives you the freedom to go and explore whenever you like and I appreciate that. This is important PSA: wear your best gear during story's final battle because everything you wear gets dragonforged (upgraded past 3 stars). Sadly this doesn't concern pawns

Just finished the game bros. I was a bit disappointed by the quests in the middle part of the game (except the Griffin one) because it felt like the story came to a complete halt. That reveal at the end was really good though, i was shocked

drakes will frick off and despawn. they're not as dickish about it as griffins but they'll do it if the fight goes on long enough. had it happen to me a couple of days ago near gran soren, post-dragon. a shitload of hellhounds got pulled into the fight and kept doing hit and run bullshit so that we couldn't kill the drake, and the drake eventually fricked off. fricking hellhounds frick them

It has a lot of minmaxing potential and fricking with endgame boss monsters, styling with encounters and every class has fun cheese when you're high level enough or got good gear. It's a game which clicks, clicks hard and you can appreciate the effort put in those systems which work. I think because DD has so much untapped potential, the announcement for sequel is a really big thing for game's fans but shitposters also woke up

Does fashions dogma only work with bbi armor or just the base game? I've been playing with something that looks good but it's mostly low level. All of it is forged though to varying degrees. But bigger enemies just one shot kill me most of the time. Mind you i do have my lv3 weapon at silver, since people say by the end only weapons matter and you can wear what you want.

Base game you can do whatever you want. For BBI, you have to separate weapons and armour. Armour isn't a huge issue for the player (for pawns it's a big deal), but you still notice the difference between rocking a full set of BBI2 or 3 armour compared to fashion's dogma. For weapons, you've really got to be using BBI3, 2, or Gold tier Dragon weapons if you want to make an impact. Some of the pre-BBI elemental weapons can work in certain situation, but it's not something you can run as a default weapon.

This. The most fun magic classes are the hybrids. People used to meme about Dark Souls and Skyrim magic, but I honesty found playing a caster in Elden Ring more enjoyable, after some patches. Having a good selection of spells that are reasonably quick to cast made for a more enjoyable experience compared to DD where my options were Holy Focus Bolt or 15+ second long nukes that still do less damage than Holy Focus Bolt. But Mystic Knight and Magick Archer? Kino.
Stabbing grigori with a rusty sword at the beginning is the best part of that game
The rest is just filler between starting ng+x and getting to do it again, watching whatever abomination of a protagonist you created this turn of the wheel
