Have any of you played this game? It's still in early access but I think it looks cool. Not sure if I want to pay $20 though.

> enjoy Cruelty Squad
> enjoy Post Void
> enjoy some old ass pixelated games
> this shit causes me to quit in the first 30 minutes due to eyes getting seriously sore
Did they add in the options to remove the ugly PS1 filters yet? I'd rather play with bare polygons than subject myself to vision loss. What's even more ass is that they try to adapt stupid old "console experience" filter shit to PC games yet almost every PC game would rather just make things blurry or don't bother with all that shit. Games like Gothic have practically the same graphical fidelity as this one yet they also have much more visual clarity because they did not try to assault your senses.
gonna have to agree with , the colour palette is an eyesore
Cruelty Squad sucks
Sucks all my free time.
Filtered.
kek. cruelty squad is the most reddit "2deep4u" game.
It's shit. Nothing more.
>AAA studio makes a game
>waaahhh it's the same boring shit why doesn't anyone ever try to make something different
>indie dev makes a unique game
>waaahhh it's tryhard 2deep4u special snowflake garbo
Skybox art is way too complicated and noisy
Lighting is too flat
Consider adding reddish fog type thing to combat the visually noisy environment
>Lighting is too flat
It's obviously unlit you dumbass
It needs shaded textures, dumbass
You have the option to turn the filter off. But visuals still wobble a bit in the distance.
A shame, really liked the atmosphere.
Not a RPG.
Prove it.
This is why I love /vrpg/. Would have never heard of this game. You sure don't see it on the front page of metacritic plastered alongside their social justice moviegames
gay it was literally previewed on gametrailers
It looks like it needs a lot of work, but I'm gonna pick it up anyways.
Is this a steampunk game that takes place inside of someone's stomach? Because that's what it looks like.
I tried the demo a year ago iirc. The setting and artstyle are fine, but the story is absolutely bare-boned, and i doubt it will get more engaging.
Def not worth 16 bucks as a EA game.
Any other indie dev type of games that are rpg from a first person perspective?
If you are willing to dive into a game made by a literal mad man..

I think its an unengaging game in pretty much every way I could think of. I know it's early access but I wonder if it'll even have the changes made to it that it obviously does. It simply needs to be a more engaging RPG before it doubles down on its story or its lore.
I don't think small indie devs have the resources to make this game good. It was a very interesting looking title before EA but I refunded it after 1.5h because everything in it was really shit. Gameplay was awfully easy right away and gaining power made it even more laughable, and the constant need to recharge your stamina because the developer, in his own words, wanted to "simulate the feeling of going and resting in a tavern in Elder Scrolls", so he thought players of his game should be forced to do that every 5 minutes.
This game has the mark of a lemon all over it. I'll still keep one eye open for it but I'm not expecting anything.
I saw it on alpha beta gamer. The demo looked interesting with a machine god giving you an ominous task but some time forward and the story of the actual game was about space pirates n shiet so it was kind of lame so i dunno
>abundance of black and female characters
It's pirating time
