>needlessly massive >no games >terrible ass controller only suited for a gorilla >technically strong but never gets to use it, only boasts how strong it technically is to its weaker, more skilled counterparts
yup, its definitely american.
i just did. thats not a gotcha when there are only 2 countries that make consoles and one of them makes really good ones, and the other only makes one middling turd that is going to die out this generation.

>massive, dominates the space its in because it's so powerful >tons of great games, not as dense as PS2 but completely mogs the gamecube and succeeds the dreamcasts' legacy >two great controllers, one for giants one for everyone else >best versions of multiplats, tons of impressive exclusives and high framerates out the ass
A legendary console.
The success of any platform is the work of many, a first party must simply enable others to achieve what they want.
Dreamcast and Xbox were both great. Played way more of that combo by far than I did my PS2 and GameCube. Turdworlder zoomers and shit for brains boomers will never know.
DC and Xbox compliment each other well. The DC came out in an odd time where 1/3rd of the library is enhanced late 5th gen titles, another part is pre-ps2 titles which would often get refined versions or sequels on PS2, and the late part is niche shooters and arcade games. Xbox has little overlap with this so both a DC and an Xbox will cover a huge amount of variety.
For me Dreamcast got me into online gaming and Xbox took it to the next level. Yes xbox live cost money but was worth every cent and I never paid more than $40 a year and as low as 25. The online experience was just the best on consoles by far
Xbox Live on the original Xbox today is still one of the best case scenarios online ever had. Games had dedicated menu options for obtaining DLC, matchmaking is insanely fast even when there's only a few players available (as Insignia has shown us) and the player has so many options for bringing friends along.

Xbox usually had the better multiplatforms, like the best version of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory or the best version of NFL 2k.
Anyways the irony of all this is that Microsoft was hugely influential in Japanese gaming in the 80s with the MSX. It's stupid they didn't try to keep that connection with the Japanese market at least later on in any form. MSX even has X in the name. Shit writes itself.
I always give the 360 more associations with japanese games like with Lost Odyssey which is actually a really good jrpg. I kind of get nostalgic for that, might see if it emulates well.
Xbox proved Japanese game fans are casual. I was never a pc gay so I didn't have a hate boner for Xbox. Not Japanese but it was hilarious watching oddworld fans on the dev message boards seethe and cope because they couldn't and refused go play Munch.
Do non compare the tragicbox to the Dreamcast.
spelling mistake.

self hating americans are the most pathetic thing on the planet
360 was great and the Steam Deck owns the switch. Oh and the PC (USA) is king of them all.

The 360 was a piece of shit. Agree with you on the Deck, though. Even if it's running a Finnish OS.

a few beers in and shitposting
>Steam Deck

It's as much of a console as those emulator chinkhelds.
If the Shitch is a console so is the Deck.
>terrible ass controller only suited for a gorilla
way to out yourself as a manlet
strong but never gets to use it, only boasts how strong it technically is to its weaker, more skilled counterparts
Horseshit lol, games like Riddick and Chaos Theory felt like next-gen games next to the PS2 and Gamecube
For real. Also games like dead or alive xtreme beach volleyball really show off what it can do.

So these are the "quality" threads that i have been missing because of the DALL-E threads? Neat
This is a sixth gen console thread
though I picked Xbox because that's the one I grew up with.
oh, sorry for turning it into a Ganker thread. i guess JSRF is neat.
have a nice day
no

The 360 and OG xbox actually had a decent nice in the Japanese market. They only lost it because they killed themselves with the xbone.
Xbox had a lot of Jap games though....

og xbox had GOAT jap exclusives like this.
Ahh you're right, and DoA3 as well. Itagaki was based.
Xbox proved Japanese game fans are casual. I was never a pc gay so I didn't have a hate boner for Xbox. Not Japanese but it was hilarious watching oddworld fans on the dev message boards seethe and cope because they couldn't and refused go play Munch.
Xbox lost
America lost
Kneel.
Technically a Dreamcast 2.
