Elden Ring is quite literally Dark Souls 3 with a horse mate. It has same bugs.
Not even close, DS3 is based on 2 hit combos while ER had bery few true combos.
ER also changed every single weapon class to have 4-5 hit R1 combos with unique animations on each swing while DS3 just had 2 animations on a loop.

Elden Ring fricking sucks. I just finished Raya Lucaria and everything outside of the major areas/dungeons feel like total shit to go through with almost no point (besides some garbage talismans or weapons or ashes of war). Stormveil, Raya Lucaria and to a lesser degree, Castle Morne were all great but those account for less than 10 hours of gameplay. Meanwhile the rest of the shit between Limgrave, Caelid and Liurnia takes forever to clear if you don't have a map with everything already marked open next to you with no joy in discovery.

I like everything about the game but the speed of it, it drives me insane, it is too fast. DS1 is perfect just in that regard, feels very tactical, DS3 has those Bloddborne tier aggro-monkeys which ruins my enjoyment, i want a little bit of heaviness.
completely agree. To add to that, DS1 does the feeling of heaviness and weight better than any other souls game & a lot better than most video games actually. Its the only game in the series where I actually enjoy playing heavy armor with fat rolls because you feel like an immovable moutain instead of a slow fatass in an otherwise too fast-paced game like in the other entries
That's why ER slowed down the combat, rolls and heals by about 40%, DS3 got a bit to spammy.

DS3 invasions is very active on the 70-90 SL range.
Have you tried the new ER patch? 1.10 is a big step in the right direction. They made it so the first attack of nearly every weapon will poise break and the next few attacks will deal far less poise damage. Also they added huge hyperarmor to weapons that already had it. I've been mostly having a good time with it aside from the newest broken shit the patch brought.
Halberds, Greatswords, and Greatspears rape the game (especially with offhand cleanrot). Also multihit hyerparmor weapon arts are extremely OP.

DS2 is just DS3 PvP but far slower, it has the same 2 hit stun rule and non-instant backstabs.

The only thing DS3 did better than ER is a vastly superior invasion ruleset, especially after 1.10 has considerably changed ER pvp for the better.
On a base level, DS3 pvp is a mess because of a gigantic priority of neutral R1 over ANYTHING else. R2, running r1, weapon arts are by the most part absolutely useless with only a handful of exceptions. ER is a monumental upgrade in that regard.
1.10 ER with DS3 invasion system would be a perfect souls game.

Elden Ring pvp has been going through a frick huge revitalization because 1.10 has changed the game on a fundamental level
Try to use poisestacked dual spears sticking to repetitive running attack patterns and you will just get your ass completely outplayed because literally EVERY offensive action was buffed thanks to nerfs to passive poise, buffs to hyperarmor and passive damage reduction during hyperarmor for larger weapons. A fricking shamshir is now more dangerous than paired spears because it has good neutral r1, good running r1, good jumping r1 and r2 and ability to equip a ton of good ashes of war.
ER just completely BTFOs 3 on a fundamental level now. They even buffed backstabs so you can punish shit play again.

I really miss the shockwave thingy on big weapons, it was so great for crowd control during invasions. In ER you're pretty fricked if you whiff with larger weapons.
Souls PVP became gradually worse after DS2 honestly. Invasions turned to gankfests. I'm not even into PVP that much but I miss being invaded once in a while. Tongues don't replace it because it turns your game into a constant stream of invasions that makes PVE unplayable.
